My pet peeves: He dislikes being brushed (even barely). We try treats, gentle talking and taking breaks, but he just cannot stand it. He also does not like being held for too long and will struggle to get out of our grasp--though with strangers he tolerates it longer. He dislikes when we stop playing with him too--he will run around for 30 minutes, fall over then huff and puff at us when we go to do something else. He really is social and adorable. lol
What I love about my owners: She feeds me and lets me help her tie her shoes and make the bed.
My cat hobbies: Bite. He bites everything so we got him some rawhide chew sticks and he tends to favor those to the chairs now. He also likes to scratch so we have 6 scratching posts around the house. He also enjoys having the window open.
Pet motto: Sociability is what helps us thrive and lets us know we are loved.

How We Met
Tim and I went to the Humane Society and we were trying to see if any of the cats would choose us. Odin sat patiently, staring at us. We finally got around to him when the other cats made it clear they were not too cracked up over us. The lady picked him up and he gripped her shoulder. She placed him in the little room with us and instantly took to rubbing up against us and purring. He wanted to claw on something (poor thing didn't have anything to scratch) so he started to mark my shoe gently. We both laughed and pet him a little longer. His tail was going scorpion-like (so high that it arches backward onto his back) by the end of it. We knew he had a forever home from then on.

@ Van Gogh
Hello! Odin is smokey colored with some tabby stripings that are black, but when you brush his coat the opposite direction, it is pure white underneath. :)
They call these smokey Maine Coons.

Hello & WELCOME to CC! It’s very nice meeting you & we hope you’ll enjoy your time here & will make lots of new furiends along the way. If you go to the home page you’ll find all kinds of fun things to do as well as loads of information by hitting the various links or tabs on the page. The University gives you the opportunity to test your feline knowledge & earn a badge for each session that you complete plus there are games & contests under other tabs too.
Do you know how to navigate easily to the pages you want or see mentioned in blogs? Look at the address bar(URL) in your browser. The numbers on the end are your page number. Each page has a different number so all you need to do is erase your 6 digit number (your is 231711), type in the page you want to visit, and then press enter. Wahlah…you should be on the page that you typed in. This makes it much easier to vote for other cats that are running for specific badges throughout the month & will also let you connect with other kitties that are visiting that cat. Another way is by using links. The links are always in blue so to answer someone that blogged to you (or you’ve found an interesting sounding cat you’d like to visit), all you need to do is click on their link to take you to their page. I know it sounds slightly confusing at first but once you get the hang of it you’ll have loads of fun interacting with others in the community.
