About Me

Active within 1 Day

Hi! My name is Mischief - Praying for all the sick and lost..

I am Domestic Longhair from Crossville, TN

Nicknames: Mishy, Pretty Girl, Piggy

Age: 4 years old

Gender: F

Coat: long haired

Education: Mischief has begun visiting the local nursing home as a therapy cat. She is not certified, yet, but it's not required there. Everyone loves her!

Got her first COTD/CROTD badges on 8/7/12
2nd COTD - 11/21/14

She became Duchess of Dashingness by winning the ladies competition of the Magnificent Tail Contest on 8/11/12.

My favorite tricks and treats are: She can jump really high when going after Da Bird, or a fly! and She will eat Temptations once in awhile, but she's not excited about treats. Once in awhile, she'll eat Friskies Party Mix out of my hand.

Where I hang out: She loves to sit on either of the towers, or on the window perch. She also like to sit in my bedroom window and watch the birds in the trees.

My favorite grubs: She loves any and all wet food, to the point that she tries to steal everyone elses.

My pet peeves: Not being able to go outside without a harness and leash.
Not being allowed to eat my fursibs food, cuz I want it all!

What I love about my owners: She and Dad made me a part of the family and I have a bigger place to roam around in. I also have many windows to look out of and see all the birds and other critters. They found a good place for my littermates to go.

My cat hobbies: Eat! Run through the house and play with Da Bird and other string or wand toys and sometimes my fursibs. Mom now takes me out in the front yard in the morning, so I can smell the grass, maybe eat a blade or two and chase bugs! Eat!

Pet motto: She doesn't have one, yet.

How We Met

A family was evicted from the mobile home park next door and they had to leave 5 cats behind. My husband and I took care of them for 3 days until animal control could come and collect them. We fell in love with Mischief and brought her home. The others went to an organization called A.A.R.F. (All About Rescue and Fixin') where they will be cared for until homes are found for them. They are a no-kill organization. We learned just this week (July, 2012) that all of her siblings have been adopted!

Hi Mischief and family!
Sorry we missed meowing to our furiends yesterday. My Dad had the day off from school for Cesar Chavez Day, so he took Mom out to lunch by the ocean in Santa Cruz and they spent the day walking around the small beach town. That meant us kitties were stuck at home, but it was a nice sunny day, not too warm and purrfect for catnapping in the windows. And Mom didn’t forget us...she brought back some of the salmon she ordered at the restaurant and we all loved it! Yummy!

My Mom is making us Easter baskets early, since she won’t be here on Easter Sunday. (Mom is leaving for GM’s house on Friday April 3rd, coming back April 11.) She’s filling them with our favorite treats and catnip stuffed bunnies and carrots. We’ve been watching her fill the baskets, but she has managed to keep them out of our reach - so far!

Ebony and Sugar Bear are doing just fine. My Mom took Easter baskets to their house this morning for both kitties and one for their pawrents. Ebony still likes to jump in my Mom’s arms when she visits, something he (thankfully) only does for my Mom.

We hope your Mom's chest cold is getting better. All that coughing can make a body very tired. We have her in our prayers and we hope your Dad doesn't catch it. We hope your weather warms up sweetie. Our temperature has cooled down to the 70's which is much nicer than the high 80's. The wind is blowing and you can see all this pollen dust flying through the air. Mom always worries about my asthma, so all the windows stay closed and if we want to outside, we have to use the kitty door. Luckily, I prefer to catnap inside when it gets too windy.

My Dad recorded the movie "Killing Jesus" on the DVR, but they haven't watched it yet. If it's that gruesome, Dad will probably watch it by himself. As it is, my Mom gets tired of seeing all the killing and monstrous things that humans do on the news. If only people would turn all their efforts to doing good instead of wasting their lives doing bad things, this could be a wonderful world. (Sigh!) Felines really do need to take over. MOL!

We hope sweet Q. Duchess is doing well. Give her a soft, warm hug for us dear furiend. We always have your precious family in our thoughts and prayers.

We left a vote with purrs, hugs and prayers for our furiends and their families in need.

“Cats have a sort of game they play when they meet. A player alternates between watching the strange cat and ignoring her, grooming or examining everything around herself - a dead leaf, a cloud - with complete absorption. It is almost accidental how the two cats approach, a sidelong step and then sitting again. This often ends in a flurry of spitting and slashing cats, too fast to see clearly, and then one or the other (or both) of the cats leap out of range. The game can have one exchange or many - and is not so different from the meetings of women.” - Kij Johnson =^.^=

no you're not seeing double
janet was asked at the last minute to work 6-11 tomorrow instead of 7-11 so we're doing our visiting for tomorrow now instead and she knows it's coming on time to get supper ready as well and will be in bed earlier tonight too like she was a few weeks back. had a light snow shower as she was coming in from work and then out walking once she and nat were in from errands and now looks and smells like rain showers as the cold front is due to come through keeping us in the lower 40s the next few days before a significent rise in temps through the upper 50s to the mid 60s for 2-3 days then back to the lower 40s for easter and easter monday. at least the 3 errands got done today and a run to the cpa as nat forgot to submit something so had to run it over there and back so therefore janet was in the middle of getting stuff online done so she could get back out and walking again. but it's al ready coming on suppertime, so we'll have to bow out and get as much done before janet's 4:30 hour comes to get something. see ya sometime on wednesday before or after her early morn-ing long walk. sandy,ab,haley,angels

Hi Mischief and family!
It was a warm 78 degrees here yesterday, purrfect for catnapping in the backyard. Since Whitey and Orangie won’t lay down in their cat beds on the deck yet, my Mom laid out a couple of the cat carrier crate mats on the ground for them and sure enough, Whitey and Orangie made themselves comfy on top of them. Go figure! So while Mom was cleaning house and doing laundry, we all stayed outside for several hours. No cat fighting, no bird or lizard hunting...just the four of us napping in harmony. We could see our Mom peeking at us every now and then, wondering what was going on! Geez! Is it really so surprising for cats to be well behaved? MOL!

Oh no! Your sweet Mom has a cold?! Give her a warm hug for us and make sure she gets lots of rest. Keep her off the computer and covered with a soft blanket. We'll have her and Q. Duchess in our prayers, along with all of your precious family.

We left a vote with purrs, hugs and prayers for our furiends and their families in need.

Hi Mischief,
A Happy Saturday vote for you. We are again in the cold zone, it was 16 degrees at wake-up. Brrrr... Mom and Dad did go on their walk anyway, they just dressed very warmly. I also went outside for about 5 minutes while Mom fed the birds. I do think some of my whiskers fell off. Hehehe.!!!! Mom and Grandma got the results from their Mammograms and both got a good report. We are so thankful and grateful as Grandma had some issues a few years ago. Now we are relaxing and just finished watching Hockey. Our Penguins finally won a game. Woo Hoo.!!! I hope that you are enjoying a great day and visit when you can. Purrs and a hug, Mittens..

Hi Mischief & Girls
I like your pretty Easter photo. Mom will put ours up Starting next week. She finally got around to making one for me.

Talk about Spring?? Where is it? Can you believe we woke up to 20* and snow showers today? It only got to 23* for a HIGH!! How can 23 be a high in Spring??

All the birds we were seeing have disappeared again. We did see some squirrels though. Some of the birds hung around, but I bet they will will come back when it warms up again.

Mom was outside last week when it was in the 50's and she seen one of the flowers in her garden starting to come out..it was a purple bloom..she can't remember what she planted there and didn't realize she even planted something that would come back...mom usually only plants perennials.

Mom went to Work today and after work she went to Walmart with a friend after she took Jesse to the Vet..{Blog on CMR}..she came home with 4 bags full of stuff..some was Easter stuff and cat food, milk, and some pills for mom's headache.

Now we are back, mom had to have dinner and now we are getting ready to go to MHL....it has been a long day for mom and she is tired!

Thanks so much for the birthday greetings and gifts...much appreciated! I had a great day celebrating with my sister.

Hope you have a good day!

Hi Mischief and family!
My sister Callie and I went for our stroller walk at 6:30 this morning, hoping to catch a glimpse of the Quail. And we did! They were in a group again scratching the ground under some brush along the trail. Mom says they remind her of chickens, only tiny. We didn’t want to scare them so we parked our stroller and Mom sat on the ground, tossing a few kernels of birdseed at a time. It was still kind of dark outside, but we were able to watch them for several minutes, until a jogger ran by and scared them away. They didn’t fly away; they just seemed to scurry off under the thicker brush. It’s so cute how they all stay together in a bunch. Mom scattered the rest of the birdseed in the bushes before we left. Can’t imagine ever eating anything so cute!

My Mom left us all alone to do some shopping today, and we were all ready to go outside in the backyard when she got home. Whitey and Orangie stayed for about an hour, watching the birds in the trees. Callie and I prefer catnapping on the patio chairs under the table in the shade. Plus it’s a good hiding spot! But that darned Mom of ours is always watching us now. Drat!

Wow! Your pawrents sure had to work hard to swap out the fridges and transfer all the salvageable food. But they got it done. Whew! We hope your Mom and her friend's trip to the vet went well. We hope it wasn't too hard to get Shorty to come along.

It sounds like your temps are going in the wrong direction! Too extreme! We hope your pawrents don't get sick from the drastic weather change. Keep an eye on them sweetie. Give sweet Q.Duchess a warm hug for us. We're glad the fluids make her feel stronger. She's such a sweetheart. Give the family warm hugs for us my dear furiend. We always have all of you in our prayers.

We hope you have a nice, warm, relaxing weekend with your furiends and family.

Hi Mischief and family!
Today is supposed to get to 85 degrees. We could tell at 7 a.m. on our stroller walk it was already getting warm. We looked for the little Quail family but didn’t see them. My Mom scattered some birdseed where we saw them yesterday, hoping they’ll come back. We filled the bucket by the creek with water and ran into several of our dog walker friends. The big dogs like to sniff our stroller, but only the little terrier yappy dog barks at us. Callie hisses at him and I just give him a bored look. MOL!

Whitey and Orangie were in the backyard, digging in the dirt under the tree, so Mom had to take a look. They were after a lizard! He was just a little guy, so Mom was brave and picked him up and put him in the bushes in the front yard. He should be safe there. Whitey and Orangie just kept staring at the dirt under the tree, wondering where their mew furiend went. Silly girls!

We hope Q. Duchess is feeling stronger today. Tell her we said meow and give her a warm hug for us.

Oh no! We read on the CMR page your fridge went out! What a waste of good food! We hope the repair guy can fix it quickly. Just what your pawrents didn't need. We'll keep our paws crossed for all of you. My Mom had a problem with the dryer this morning. It wasn't drying the clothes completely. Mom had to squeeze behind the dryer with a flashlight, wiping all the cobwebs away (yuck!) and thankfully she found the problem. The exhaust pipe had come loose from the vent that leads outside. Mom was able to fix it. Hooray!

No need to blog back dear furiend. We know you're busy! Give everyone a hug for us and let them know we have your family in our prayers. Okay?

During the first winter,
humans struggled to keep
warm. God decided to

would be a space heater
that could be kept on the

for warmth. God covered
the little heater with soft
fur that relieved stress
when humans put their

the heater created warmth

Hi Mischief and family!
It’s starting to warm up here today. On our stroller walk this morning, we saw a small group of the cutest little plump birds we had ever seen. My Mom asked a man that was walking on the trail if he knew what they were. He said they were Quails. We watched them for a few minutes as they walked around together scratching the ground and they didn’t seem to be afraid of us. My Mom is going to bring a small bag of birdseed tomorrow in case we see them again.

My Mom will be going to San Diego to visit GM on April 3rd through the 11th, so she’s starting to get the house prepared. My Dad will be on Spring Break from school, so he and I will be in charge. MOL! Dad does a good job taking care of us. He doesn’t like to snuggle with us, but we never miss a meal and he’s always giving us treats, so we should be fine.

My pawrents don't like HOT weather either. It seems to be getting hotter each year. Who knows what's going to happen when we run out of water. Yikes!

We hope your Mom and Dad have a safe trip to Cookeville with their friend. That is so very nice of your pawrents to take her to see the doctor. My Mom always gets up early at 5 am to first feed us and then she makes breakfast for Dad who leaves for work at 6. After he leaves Mom starts cleaning and then we take our stroller walk at 7. It's just starting to get light by then.

We hope the vet can help Butterscotch with his bowel problems. Poor baby! 7 years old is awfully young to have problems like that. We'll be praying for him.

We're so glad Q. Duchess is eating and most importantly, she didn't lose any weight! She's a real sweetheart and she certainly isn't ready to leave her happy and loving home. God bless the precious kitty.

We hope the Aspercream gives your sweet Mom some relief from the pain. We have our paws crossed for her and we always have your dear family in our thoughts and prayers. Give them warm hugs for us.

Hi Mischief and family!
The rain from yesterday came and went and we are expecting temperatures in the mid eighties by Friday. Yikes! Today it’s nice outside with a cool breeze. Mom took Callie and me for our stroller walk and we saw several squirrels running along the trail and lots of birds. (Sigh!) We had to watch from the confines of our stroller, as Callie and I licked our chops!

Whitey and Orangie were patiently waiting to go outside in the backyard when we got home. Since Mom brought out the vacuum monster, all four of us are sunning in the backyard, or hiding out! My Mom kept peeking out at us to make sure we weren’t up to no good. No privacy or trust around here for a cat!

We know exactly what your Mom means! My Mom goes crazy when her computer acts up and she loses her blogs.

Hmmm...a topical treatment for your Mom's elbow? It would sure be nice if it works. Getting a shot in the elbow area would be no fun at all! We'll keep our paws crossed for her. Too bad she has to wait 3 long weeks before trying something else.

We hope Q. Duchess is feeling stronger today. It must be so worrisome for your pawrents to see her back legs wobbling. Q. Duchess is such a strong kitty. I think I would just lay down and let the food, treats and water come to me! Hee, hee! Give her a warm hug for us dear furiend. We always have her in our prayers.

Yes, the drought situation here is very serious, but still so many people waste water blatantly with lawn sprinklers that water the lawn AND the street! Mom hates those the worst. We're supposed to report houses like that when we see them, but Mom knows this year the water company will really start fining people who waste water. We shall see soon enough!

Take care dear furiend. Give your family hugs for us and let them know we always have them in our prayers.

We left a vote with purrs, hugs and prayers for our furiends and their families in need.

Hi Mischief and family!
We hope you had a wonderful weekend with your family. We got a little bit of rain this morning, just enough to wet the ground and water the plants. We hadn’t expected it so we were thrilled!

Remember the little bird I brought home for my Mom last week? Well after my Mom had put him safely back in the backyard, he recovered, but couldn’t seem to fly. He was hopping all around the deck and the plants, so the backyard was off limits to us cats ALL weekend. My Mom saw two birds always checking on him, probably his family. The little guy was drinking out of our water bowl and he had plenty of bugs to eat in the yard, so Mom just waited and prayed he would get his wings back. Finally last night, he started to jump onto the table and bench. A few hours later, Mom and Dad saw him fly up into the tree! Hooray! He made it and now we are free to go back outside! That’s the last time I bring home a gift for my Mom. MOL!

We hope your Mom's trip to the doctor goes well today. We have our paws crossed for her. We're glad to hear your pawrents had a nice dinner at their favorite Mexican restaurant. It's nice for our pawrents to get out once in a while and enjoy themselves. As long as they don't forget about us. MOL! I know that would never happen at our homes!

We're so happy to hear sweet Q. Duchess didn't need fluids yet. That must be hard on her, but I'm sure afterwards she feels a lot better. Give her a soft hug for us sweetie. We always your precious family in our prayers.

Hi Mischief,
I hope that you are enjoying a lovely Sunday. We are thrilled to be back on CC as our internet was out for almost 5 days. Mom and I were very upset, especially as we are paying for a service that we are not receiving. MOL.!!! But, all is back to normal now and we are so happy to visit with you today. Last week Mom and Grandma had their Mammograms and we are praying for good results. My sister Greycee had her yearly Vet exam and she got a glowing report.She was beaming when she came home, what a little ham. Hehehe.!!! Mom also had new brakes and rotors put on her car. Besides all of that, Mom decorated inside and outside for Easter. I see bunnies everywhere. Hehehe.!!! Now we are all taking it easy for the afternoon. Mom and Dad are watching golf and Nascar later. Mom made a southwest chili for lunch and it sure did smell good. Tomorrow Mom and Dad will be running errands most of the day. They will take plastic to the recycle center, supplies to the Humane Society and pick up bird seed and suet at the Milling Company. We must take care of the birdies so I can watch them. Hehehe.!!!! Have a great day and visit when you can. Purrs and a hug, Mittens...

Hi Mischief & family!
Remember the little birdie I caught yesterday and brought as a present to my Mom? Mom set him outside and we thought he had flown away! He didn’t! Before Mom let us out this morning, she had a feeling she better double check to make sure he was gone. The little guy was hopping around the planters on the deck. He seems fine, just unable to fly. Dad thinks he’s a baby bird and can’t fly yet. So the backyard is off limits to us cats! The little birdie is hopping all around backyard as we watch from the sliding glass door. Our backyard is the safest place for him, since no one can get in through the cat fence. Mom hopes he gets his pilot’s wings quickly. She put bread and bird seed out there. We saw him sitting on our water bowl drinking OUR water! Mom has seen two birds coming to visit him, thinking they must be his family. But there really isn’t anything they can do until he can fly. My sisters are not happy with me at all, since I was the one who caught the little guy! So much for trying to do something nice for my Mom.:(

We're so glad your Mom had a good visit to the dentist. We think our Mom always jinxes herself with bad thoughts when she goes to the dentist. MOL! We hope the Tylenol helped your mom so she could sleep. We have her in our prayers dear furiend.

Give sweet Queen Duchess a hug for us. We hope she feels better today. We know getting fluids are no fun, but they do make her feel better. God bless your precious sister. We love her so much and have her in our constant prayers.

We hope your Mom has a wonderful time at the craft show! Maybe she'll be bring back a "kitty-bag" from the restaurant! Give your pawrents big, warm hugs for us sweetie!

Fun days in the Castle
In a few days my reign will come to an end and soon we will have a new Queen. It has been a fun experience and we truly enjoyed our stay in the castle. I have been enjoying the long walks on the beautiful grounds together with my Guardian Angel Bait. My sister Yak is often at the tower, play acting like she's Rapunzel. Bullie is swinging on each chandelier and sliding down the bannister. And Tong, well, we caught him sneeking out of the castle grounds. You see, Tong is the adventurous type but when he is in trouble he runs frantically back home shrieking like a little girl. Teehee!

Have a great weekend everyone.

Time to relax, recharge and enjoy the weekend with the people and furmily you love!

Nose kisses and tail hugs.

Hi Mischief and family!
My Mom came home from her dental appointment yesterday with an awful headache. We laid down with her and gave her purr therapy. Even Whitey and Orangie! All 4 of us on the bed with Mom in the afternoon.

When Mom got up to fix dinner and feed us, she let us outside in the backyard. She came to check on us and found me, Whiskers, sitting in the living room with what she thought was cat toy. It wasn’t! It was a little bird and it was alive! Mom threw a napkin over him and shooed us all into the bedroom. Mom was able to pick up the little guy and set him by tree in the backyard. His wings fluttered, but he just sat there. After checking on him every hour (we had to stay in the house!), Mom saw him on the opposite side of the deck and two birds were flying around him. Mom left them alone until Dad got home. They both looked for the birdie, but he was gone! Mom was so happy and kind of upset with all of us. My Dad reminded her it was a gift from me, Whiskers, and I could have easily killed the bird, but instead I brought it inside for Mom. So Mom and I made up. MOL!

We are so sorry to hear your dear Mom has so much pain it keeps her up at night. Why oh why can't her doctor give her something to help her at night? We know how reluctant doctors are to give out pain medicine. Our Dad had to practically beg for pain medication when he broke his ankle. But there must be something to help your Mom. Not being able to sleep at night could do her more harm. We hope the orthopedic doctor can help her with the pain in her elbow. A steroid shot sounds painful, but if it helps, just make sure you kitties are there to comfort your sweet Mom when she gets home.

We're glad to hear Q. Duchess is feeling better. We guess its only natural she'll have her up and down days. She is such a good kitty, still trying to do her business in the litter box. That's a Queen for you! Always prim and proper. God bless her. We always have her and your precious family in our prayers dear furiend.

We left a vote with purrs, hugs and prayers for our furiends and their families in need.

No one here to help except me and Mom won't let me go outside! We are supposed to get another big snow storm tomorrow so those branches are staying where they are. It looks like you go outside on some kind of harness. Mom tried to put one on me and I jumped so high and fast that she almost dislocated her shoulder so no harness for me! MOL. Purrs, Edina

Hi Mischief and family!
This morning after Callie and I had our stroller walk with Mom, we came home to find Whitey and Orangie waiting patiently by the sliding back door. The sun was out early, so we all ran outside together. Whitey and Callie are getting really good at ignoring each other, without any growling or hissing. Callie and I usually go right to our favorite chairs with the cushions around the backyard table. Today Whitey and Orangie laid down next to the outside cat beds on the deck, to watch the birds. Those two cats still haven’t figured out the beds are there for them to catnap in!

Well, at least it sounds like your Mom has a very thorough doctor. Usually when you have a 10 o'clock appointment, they have you out of there, a half hour later! We're glad to hear your Mom's medication is working well. Any problem with the heart can be so worrisome, but it seems your Mom and her doctor are on the right track. We will definitely keep her in our prayers dear furiend.

My Mom wishes any of us cats would like Greenies. They are supposed to be the healthiest treat for cats, but you have to eat them! Mom tried them on us a couple of times, but we all snubbed them. Maybe it's time to try again. It sure would help our teeth! Who knows? A cat's taste buds might change with age!

That is very nice of your Mom to take her friend to the hospital for blood work. Your Mom is such a sweetheart. Always so busy and never complaining. Give her and the whole family warm hugs for us. We hope Q. Duchess is feeling stronger today. Give her a soft kitty kiss for us. We love you guys and always have your family in our prayers.

We left a vote with purrs, hugs and prayers for our furiends and their families in need.

Hi Mischief and family!
Happy St. Patrick’s Day! We all had to have our Revolution flea medicine put on us today, so we must not have the “luck of the Irish!” My Mom started cooking a Beef Stew this morning for St. Patrick’s Day and she saved us some beef stew meat as a treat. We’re all mad at her right now, but maybe later we’ll take the bribe. MOL!

We hope your Mom's trip to see the cardiologist goes well. We'll be praying for her dear furiend. We're sorry to hear Q. Duchess was having weak day. It must worry your pawrents so much, but Q. Duchess seems like such a strong girl. We'll be sending pawsitive prayers her way today. Give her a soft hug for us too.

My Mom wants to plan my dental cleaning on a week when my Dad is home. Mom knows it won't be easy getting the antibiotics down my throat, so she's hoping that Dad can help hold me while she administers the meds. Yes, as you probably already guessed, my Mom is getting more nervous than I am! Humans!

We hope your pawrents come home with surprises from Petco for all of you. Hee, hee! You did give them a list, right?!

Take care dear furiend and we hope you all get to enjoy the warmer weather. We love you and always have your precious family in our prayers.

Hi Mischief and family!
We hope you had a relaxing weekend. We had lots of company on Sunday, so it wasn’t relaxing for us cats. And now today the vacuum monster has been let loose. A cat can’t get a break around here!

The blood test results came back for me from the vet today. I’m good to go, so I’ll be getting my teeth cleaned next month. Not looking forward to that!

The temperature here is back to normal, in the low 70’s. We had a taste of summer this weekend with temp’s in the high 80’s. Today is a good day to catnap upstairs.

Whoo hoo! Thanks for the great Happy Birthday song to my Mom! The music was great! We all did a happy dance to the tune! You are all such wonderful furiends.

We hope Q. Duchess is doing well today. Give her a kitty kiss for us and let her know we always have her in our prayers. In fact we have you and your precious family in our prayers every day!

We left a vote with purrs, hugs and prayers for our furiends and their families in need.

Hi Mischief and family!
It was a record breaking 86 degrees here today in San Jose! Our GM said it was 93 degrees in San Diego. Yikes! It’s the middle of March!

I don't have an appointment for my dental cleaning yet. Mom wants to see how my blood work results are, and then she wants to get me in during Dad's Easter school break in April. Since I've haven't needed any medications since I was neutered, my Mom is thinking she might need Dad's help getting the antibiotics down my throat. My Mom has been able to administer my inhaler for my asthma, but that has only been two times. I don't like my Dad to get too close to me, so this might be a problem! I'm glad you think my weight at 13 lbs is okay. My Mom was just surprised it was me losing weight, when it's Callie who is counting calories and exercising more. I might get some good treats out of this visit to the vet! MOL!

My goodness! The word must be out that your home has some good eats and a comfy place to catnap! We hope it's just a passing thing and the kitties all belong somewhere. The nice weather does make a lot of otherwise, "inside cats", come out exploring. We have our paws crossed that Frosty has been fixed. We think it's a good bet she has, after a year of never bringing home kittens.

We hope Q. Duchess is having a good day and we send our love and prayers to you and your precious family.

We left a vote with purrs, hugs and prayers for our furiends and their families in need.

Hi Mischief and family!
Mom took Callie and me out for our stroller walk early this morning before my visit to the vet. It was still dark and we took a flashlight. The trail has streetlights along the way, but not too many. Mom walked faster than we usually do, so it was a bumpy ride, but kind of fun! Mom doesn’t like to walk in the dark. She gets spooked easily! Hey, I was there to protect us! Mrowwwww, hisssssssssssss! Scared you, didn’t I?
~~~
Okay, I’m home from the vet. I lost a pound in 6 months but the vet said my weight of 13 pounds is normal. A year ago I weighed 14.8 pounds, so naturally my Mom is worried. The vet took some blood for testing and gave me the once over with her cold hands and stethoscope. Ugh! She said my heart was beating very fast, but duh! I was terrified! We should have results on Monday or Tuesday.
The bad mews is I need to have my teeth cleaned! First time ever in 11 years! The vet showed Mom the thin red line around the base of my gums. It’s not bad like Callie’s, but needs to be done. :(
Give sweet Q. Duchess and the family warm hugs for us. We love you guys and always have your family in our prayers sweetie!
Hi Mischief and family!
Our Mom had a doctor’s appointment this morning, so us kitties had the house to ourselves. The rain is gone, so it was another sunny day. Since we can’t go outside in the backyard when no one is home, we all picked our favorite napping spots in the windows and slept the day away. Mom is always proud of us when she comes home to find us all catnapping, looking very well behaved. Mom boiled some chicken breasts for us as our reward. Yippee!
Tomorrow I have an appointment at the vet for a check up and vaccinations. I’ve been watching my Mom get the cat carrier nice and cozy, so I know she’s up to something. Who knows, maybe I’ll play nice tomorrow and just get it over with. MOL! (Or not!)
We had to laugh when she said you only got 3/4" of rain! We got less than 1/10" of rain and San Jose, where we live, got the most! That's why Mom felt she needed to fill the water bucket up by the creek.
Oh sweetie, we're sorry your parents lost one their church members. Funerals are so very sad. Give them both hugs for us. We hope your Dad's doctor appointment went well. We always have you and your precious family in our prayers. We read the great mews on CMR about Queen Duchess! Give her a big kiss for us!
Hi Mischief and family!
We finally got some rain here today! Whoo hoo! It’s not much and won’t last but a day, but we’ll take anything we can get. It started early this morning so Callie and I didn’t get our stroller walk. But now our Mom feels bad not taking water to fill the bucket up by the dry creek. So you guessed it! Mom put the two 1 gallon plastic water bottles in our cat stroller and left without us. She wasn’t gone long though. She just filled the bucket and came back. So now our stroller is a cat/water carrier stroller. MOL!
Whitey and Orangie were both waiting by the back door this morning to go outside. Mom let them out so they could see it was raining. They both made a quick lap around the backyard and came running back inside. Guess they forgot what rain feels like!
Oh that's so sweet that Shorty was sitting in your Dad's lap and even sweeter to hear how happy it made your Dad feel. You really do have wonderful pawrents my furiend. If any of us cats ever jumped onto our Dad's lap, I think he might have the big one. MOL! Our Dad is happy when we don't run from him. Whitey and Orangie are getting better around Dad since they've been coming downstairs more.
Q. Duchess is such dainty kitty, still trying to use her litter box. That's was so nice of your Mom to get a litter box with shorter walls. My Mom had to get low litter boxes for Callie when she had bladder surgery. Callie stills likes to use it, but Mom has to put a plastic mat underneath it because Callie is a messy girl!
That's nice to have a Dad that's talented enough to build his own cat house. I bet it will be beautiful!
We hope your rain stops soon. Hey, I bet it was you that sent us some of your rain! You're such a sweet furiend! The rain is already letting up, but Mom can tell the trees and plants look a lot happier! Give Q. Duchess and the family warm hugs for us. We always have your family in our thoughts and prayers.
Hi Mischief and family!
Another sunny day today and the birdies are out in full force in the backyard. Whitey and Orangie have started waiting by the back door in the morning, eager to get outside and watch the birds. They still don’t lie down in their outdoor cat beds. They both sit on the deck, almost hypnotized by the chirping noises coming from the trees. Yesterday one of the neighborhood cats was walking along our fence, peeking in at us. Whitey saw the cat and run up the tree trunk, hissing all the way. She hit the net around the tree a few times, got mad and ran back inside the house with Orangie following behind her. MOL! The neighborhood cat just stared, unfazed and walked calmly away to the next yard. Callie and I enjoyed the show, then went back to sleep.
Hee, hee! Our cat stroller is built to carry 60 pounds, so Whitey and Orangie could come along for the ride with Callie and me - but Callie?! No way! Mom would definitely need to take two walks!
Aw, BC and Shorty are such lucky cats. I sometimes wonder how Whitey and Orangie became indoor cats. But Mom reminds me that Whitey IS my real sister. She just didn't come inside with me and Callie until many years later. Orangie was Whitey's buddy so Mom couldn't separate them! I get along with both of them. I've even started licking their heads:) (When they let me!) But Callie (sigh!), she is one tough cookie. Mom thinks maybe Callie gets a bit jealous of the attention Whitey and Orangie get. But Mom always makes sure she gives Callie a lot of attention too. You women! MOL!
We're so glad Q. Duchess is doing well. She is such a sweetheart. Give her a warm hug for us and let her know we're always keeping her in our prayers.
It sounds like Midnight is sizing up your home! Maybe once the weather gets warmer, he'll be content to stay outside and just come to eat. I know, it usually doesn't end up that way. MOL! At least your pawrents won't have to worry as much about the weather being too cold.
Give your family warm hugs for us sweetie. We always have all of you in our prayers.
We left a vote with purrs, hugs and prayers for our furiends and their families in need.
Mom saw me lounging on the carpet, belly up. Then I heard her speak in a high picthed voice, sounding too funny, calling me Bebe. Quickly, my motor started running ... puuurrrrrrr. She then laid down on the carpet and started showering me with kisses all over my face and belly and I was blissfully puuuurrrrrring. Now that is a King's simple and contented life. Hi Mischief and family!
We hope you had a relaxing weekend. The weather here is sunny with temperatures in the seventies. My Mom took Callie and me for our cat stroller walk this morning. Orangie seems to be interested in the cat stroller more and more. She likes to sniff around it when we get back. Mom is going to start taking the cat carrier off the stroller wheels and set it down on the ground. Maybe Whitey and Orangie will check it out and see it’s not so scary. MOL! Just like every else, we have to take baby steps.
Oh we are delighted to hear that Shorty and BC are behaving themselves. They are both very lucky kitties to have found a furever home with your loving family. If only all cats could be so fortunate.
We're happy to hear you're finally getting some sunshine! Yippee! I bet the sun rays will feel good in the window. We hope the rain doesn't cause too many problems where you live.
That is so nice of your sweet Dad to help the church with their broken water line. You really do have the best family ever! We hope Q. Duchess is doing well and eating her food. Give her a soft kitty kiss for us and big warm hugs for your family. We always have all of you in our prayers.
our neighbor up the street
was outfront of the house as he was walking his doggie around 3:27 this morning when janet was just waking/getting out of bed! she slept through till after she had let sandy out into the liv-ing room as lately she's preferring to sleep there than with janet or in this bedroom! had some melting of the snow as in the sun it was over 40 and will be feeling warmer than that a good part of this week! got lower 50s for janet's day off on wednesday and she's planning to get out as soon as it's gotten light enough to walk which now is later than it was yesterday the last day of standard time. no storms in sight till nat's birthday party bash on both of our pages this friday this week showers to a sinker on saturday, so what else is new as it's the time of year when we'll be get-ting more and more of those messy and hard to clean up storms as well as cold spells likely sometime next week, but right now 40s will reign supreme through till at least tues of next week with yet another sinker! janet stayed an hour 15 mins overtime at work to do a special order of 50 fruit kabobs which had her doing the tedious work of cutting stuff up, then putting it together and her boss wrapped it up after she finished cleaning things up. she and nat walked the big block as soon as she was home and changed which meant an afternoon spent online getting stuff caught up! sandy,ab,haley,angels
Hi Mischief and family,
How are you doing today? We are still in the snow belt, we received about 10 inches a few days ago, some has melted but not too much. I can hardley believe what happened today. Mom decided to do some Spring Cleaning with us kitties. It started with Revolution, then nail trimming and a good brushing too. Whew, I was plain exhausted after all of that. Hehehe.!!! We all did get our treats and are now relaxing in the patio room. The sun feels so good coming in through the windows. I did hear that later next week the weather is supposed to improve but, I won't hold my breath. Hehehe.!!! Have a great day and visit when you can. Purrs and a hug, Mittens... Hi Mischief and family!
My Mom made a trip to Petco yesterday so we got everything on our wish lists. Mom had twenty dollars worth of coupons to use. Yippee!
Whitey and Orangie have been spending more time in the backyard. They like bird watching. Yesterday they both went into a crazy-cat frenzy and were running up and down the tree trunks in our yard. They can only run up about 6 feet before they bump into the net, but they both got quite a workout. The birdies seem to know they’re safe as long they stay above the net. Callie and I just watched from the comfort of our cat beds on the deck. It was too early in the morning for me. MOL!
Ebony and Sugar Bear are doing fine and so is their mom Abarna. Mom goes over every day to play with them and keep things tidy so Abarna can rest. Sugar Bear loves playing with the fishing pole, running up and down the stairs. When she gets tired, she curls up in the bay window to nap. Ebony doesn’t play as much since he’s older, but he likes to sit on Mom’s lap while she visits with his Mom.
We know all about how busy our humans can get. Our Dad gets jealous sometimes too when my Mom is on the computer. That silly Dad! He has to get his priorities straight. MOL!
We're glad the appetite pill is helping Q. Duchess. Give her a warm hug for us. We always have her and your whole family in our prayers.
We left a vote with purrs, hugs and prayers for our furiends and their families in need.
If You Give Kitty A Treat... =^.^=
~~~~~
If you give Kitty a treat,
he will want a sip of water.
So you'll fix him a fresh bowl of cool water.

When he’s finished drinking the water,
he will want to dunk one of his toys in the bowl.
When it’s completely submerged,
he will want to scoop it out.

There will be a splash.
Then another.
And another.
Eventually, the only thing left in the bowl will be the toy.
You’ll have to help him get it out and put it somewhere to dry.

When Kitty realizes his front paws are soaked,
he will want to dry them off.
While you go and search for a towel,
Kitty will try to lick the water from his paws.
When that seems like it is taking too long,
he will decide to dry them on the rug.

Kitty will run in circles around the dining room table as fast as he can.
When he can’t run one more step,
he will collapse in a heap.

Exhausted from all this exercise,
Kitty’s stomach will probably start to growl.
If his stomach starts to growl,
Kitty will most definitely want another treat.

And the cycle will continue again….and again….and again…

Hi Mischief and family!
My Mom had an appointment at the dentist yesterday. It was supposed to be just a cleaning and exam, but the dentist found a problem in her x-rays and Mom ended up spending 2 and half hours in the dentist chair. When Mom finally came home, her face was numb and she was not a happy camper. She has to go back in two weeks for a crown. (And I don’t mean a Royal crown. Hee, hee, hee!)

I did overhear my Mom on the phone yesterday, making an appointment at the vet for me next Friday! I need two booster shots and Mom wants the doctor to listen to my breathing. She always worries about my asthma flaring up. Lately, Mom hears me wheezing sometimes at night while I’m sleeping. It might be time for a steroid injection. This is only going to happen if my Mom can catch me next Friday. MOL!

We hope your family is holding up okay in the severe weather that hasn't let up on you guys yet. We have all of you in our prayers sweetie.

We had a great time at King Hami’s Coronation last night. It’s always fun to see our furiends all gussied up and having a wonderful time! You and your fursibs looked fantastic as always. We love your colorful St. Patrick's Day profile picture! You look stunning in green sweetie!

The sun is shining today and it was a chilly 39 degrees when Mom took Callie and me for our stroller walk this morning. (Chilly for us!) Mom is housecleaning again today, so that means the ole vacuum monster is waiting in the hallway.

The little chickadee birdies are out in full force on our backyard deck. Spring must be around the corner. Mom is keeping a close eye on us. She already yelled at me when she saw me in my “panther stance!” That darned Mom keeps scaring the birdies away!

We hope Q. Duchess is feeling okay today. Hopefully the cold weather doesn't affect her. Give her a warm hug for us. We hope the worst of the winter storm is a thing of the past for you guys now. Knock on wood! When I finish here with this blog, I'll find my sister Callie and knock on her head with my paw and then run. MOL!

Hi Mischief and family!
We hope you had a nice weekend. We had the house to ourselves on Sunday while Mom and Dad were out running errands. We had on and off showers on Saturday and are expecting rain again today. It hasn’t been much, but we’ll take whatever we can get. Mom took Callie and me on our stroller walk this morning so we could fill the bucket by the creek with water. The creek is still dry.:(

Whitey and Orangie are doing well, spending a lot more time in the backyard. Hopefully when it starts to get warmer, they’ll both learn to use their outside cat beds, at least in the evenings.

We're glad to hear Q. Duchess is doing good. We hope the fluids make her feel better. We always have her in our prayers. Give her a warm hug for us.

Tell your sweet Mom not to worry about blogging to us every day. Our Mom gets busy too, but we try our best. That doesn't mean we don't think of your family every day. We always have you in our thoughts and prayers.

We were happy to see Tucker and Bella as our COTD's. We hope and pray their sweet Mom Karen can feel the love CC is sending to her. It is such a heartbreaking time.

I'll jump on her lap
let her stroke and pet
turn on my purring machine.
I truly delight
to rub my nice human
and circle her legs with great joy.
To those in the know
I look independent
but there's really a softy inside.

Hi Mischief,
It's another snowy day here, imagine that. Hehehe.!!! Actually we have about another 2-4 inches on top of what we already had. Need-less-to-say, our driveway is pretty deep with snow. Thank-fully we don't have any where to go. Mom and Dad did go to Mass this morning and they had a slip and slide time of it. Now however, we are all tucked in and plan on spending a nice quiet Sunday. Mom took out the George Forman Grill to make some burgers. A little picnic to lift our spirits and to help us picture warmer weather. I hope that you will have a wonderful day too. Visit when you can. Purrs and a hug, Mittens...

Come visit me, Mittens. Hi little Easter chick..., Q. Angel Misty. Easter Blessings for all..., Minuette. Happy Easter..., Greycee Mist. It's the Easter Buny... & Gypsy: It's Easter time....

Hi Mischief & family!
Not much going on here today. Mom was out running errands and us kitties had the house to ourselves. We’ve been catnapping all day. We’re supposed to get some rain tomorrow. Yippee! The sun was shining all day, but it’s been windy. Hopefully the wind is blowing the rain to us.

Wow! 2-3 inches of more snow?! We wish your pawrents didn't have to drive in those conditions, but we know some things are just necessary. We'll keep them both in our prayers. Cat food is definitely a must. MOL!

Aw, Frosty likes his Snuggle Safe. We're so glad Frosty and Midnight have your family to look after them in this severe weather. A possum?! My Mom has seen them at GM's house in her backyard at night. Mom says they are kind of scary looking! We hope the outside kitties are careful.

Give Q. Duchess a warm hug for us. We hope the fluids make her feel better. We always have her in our prayers. 2 whole weeks without needing fluids! That's wonderful!

Oh you made me blush sweet furiend. Thank you for making me feel better about my gray fur. Maybe I won't put Grecian Formula on it after all. MOL!

We hope you have a relaxing, warm weekend. Give the family warm hugs for us.

Here’s a vote with purrs, hugs and prayers for our furiends and their families in need.

Hi Mischief and family!
We’re running a little bit late today. My Mom and I were working on my blogs when she got a call from Ebony and Sugar Bear’s Dad, next door. Their Mom Abarna had a doctor’s appointment today, but he was having car problems. My Mom would have lent him one of our cars, but both cars are stick shift and their Dad doesn’t know how to use a clutch. (Dad drives the automatic van to work because of his ankle.) That’s okay; my Mom drove Abarna to see her doctor. Abarna is doing okay, still congested, but nothing that a lot of rest won’t cure.

When Mom came back home, we were all sitting in the bay windows downstairs patiently waiting for her. Mom said we all looked so well behaved and innocent. She looked around to see if we had gotten into anything. Nope! We were purrfect little angels. MOL! Mom opened a fresh bag of Wildside Salmon for us and there were treats all around. Yay!

We hope Q. Duchess is doing okay. Give her a warm hug for us. We haven't watched the weather report today yet, so we're praying you guys are all staying safe and hopefully warm. We love you sweetie and always have your precious family in our prayers.

Cats Don't Care =^.^=
~~~~~
Cats don't care what dogs think
they just look down and sorta wink.
Perch themselves way up high
the dog barks and starts to cry.
It's really not fair, those agile cats
hiding in places just like rats.
The dog wants to play, join in the fun
chase that cat, make it run.
But cats care less, don't need to play fair
like to tease, don't have a care.
Poor dog sits and wonders why?
Sly old cat naps with a sigh.
Dog keeps guard, waiting for a twitch
cat doesn't move, not even for an itch.
The game goes on, cat unaware
the dogs just pleads, please care.
More about Mom
I've had a wonderful time with my catpaign with the help of my Mom. Let me tell you more about her.
1. My middle aged Mom is a child at heart.
2. Mom married the love of her life and is happily married to Dad for the last 14 years.
3. Mom quit her job to be a housewife and mother to us kitties. She has worked hard for over 20 years and has taken the backseat for the last four years.
4. Mom is the third of four siblings, two of which are overseas. Mom takes solely care of Grandma and Grandpa's needs, visiting them every Sunday.
5. Mom has travelled to many beautiful places but considers our developing country home. Home is where the heart is.
6. Our home is asian inspired and Mom loves asian cuisine.
7. Mom is a bit claustrophobic.
8. Mom has swam with dolphins which is in her bucket list.
9. Mom and Dad cannot travel as much because of us kitties. If they do travel, it is only for a week though we are well taken cared for while they are away. Mom and Dad are not comfortable when they are not around us for a long time.
10. Mom developed mild asthma late last year. She has no intentions of finding out what she is allergic to. She says definietely not cats.
11. It is in Mom's nature to be happy and have a positive outlook. She is happy and contented with simple things in life.
12. Mom's best friend and great love is Dad. They do most things together and share the same values and interests. They are soulmates.
13. Mom loves all animals and wish she can save them all but ...
14. Mom is very organized and this has rubbed on Dad. Mom has trained him well. Teehee!
15. Our home is filled with love, joy, laughter and cats.
Home is where Love resides,
Memories are created
and Laughter never ends.
May Love be the heart of your Home.
xoxo
Hi Mischief and family!
My Mom was trimming my fur this morning and noticed quite a bit of gray fur on me. She didn’t know cats sometimes go gray as part of the natural aging process. Since I’m a tuxedo cat, the gray fur is more noticeable, especially around my face. Mom says I look dignified. MOL! Hey, I still feel like a kitten!
After seeing Callie and Whitey sitting on the bed together, my Mom believes BC & Shorty will come around too. Mom never thought Callie would let up on Whitey. Orangie is not a problem. She is very docile. Whitey stands her ground until Callie walks away. Callie is such a prima donna!
We're so happy your Mom's trip to the doctor went well. We're keeping her in our prayers. We hope she can take her arthritis medicine again soon! We hope it doesn't snow too much more for you guys. Tell your pawrents to drive careful. They have precious cargo waiting at home!
Give Q. Duchess a warm hug for us. We love her always have her and your family in our prayers.
We read this wonderful pet cat poem we wanted to share with our furiends.
Prayer For My Cat =^.^=
~~~~~
Treat me kindly, dear master. Accord me the courtesy due to a cat — and I for my part will love you, amuse you and cheer your heart as only a cat can do.

Give me a sunny spot to sleep in when morning dawns and I will warm your lap on cold evenings.

Respect my independence and my need to walk alone at times and I will look after myself, so that you may come and go as you please.

Speak to me in our secret kitty language, let me hear my name sung in the music of your voice, and I will meow happily in sweet harmony with you.

Stroke my fur gently and lovingly and I will soothe you with the soft purrs that can only come from a happy cat.

Indulge my curiosity and I will show you the joys of bird watching, star gazing and other kitty pleasures.

Play with me and see me rejoice! Toss a humble ball of yarn and I will delight you with my cleverness and acrobatic leaps.

But do not laugh at me or allow me to be teased for there is nothing I prize more than my dignity.

Keep my surroundings neat and clean and I will be fastidious in my habits.

Feed me and be fair and I will teach you how to tell “kitty time” by instinct and tummy tunes.

And when I am old and the time comes to say farewell, hold me gently in your arms and I will go without a whimper.

For with you I am trusting, safe and secure. A cat who walked alone but loved you with a full and happy heart.

Hello Mischief
What’s mew with you? I am napping in my heated bed. It is a very cold (35 degrees) & rainy ☂ day here in south Mississippi. Tonight we are forecast to receive a freezing rain/sleet/ice mixture with possibly one inch of snow❄ We hope not because down here, we don’t “do” frozen stuff too well.

Monday was fluids day for MerryBelle. All went well. She will get more fluids tomorrow. Please keep my sweet sister in your prayers. We are very worried about her.

Stay warm & comfy cozy.
Kisses,
Q Sissy
