Mischief - Praying for all the sick and lost..

About Me

Active within 1 Day

Hi! My name is Mischief - Praying for all the sick and lost..

I am Domestic Longhair from Crossville, TN

Nicknames: Mishy, Pretty Girl, Piggy

Age: 4 years old

Gender: F

Coat: long haired

Education: Mischief has begun visiting the local nursing home as a therapy cat. She is not certified, yet, but it's not required there. Everyone loves her!

Got her first COTD/CROTD badges on 8/7/12
2nd COTD - 11/21/14

She became Duchess of Dashingness by winning the ladies competition of the Magnificent Tail Contest on 8/11/12.

My favorite tricks and treats are: She can jump really high when going after Da Bird, or a fly! and She will eat Temptations once in awhile, but she's not excited about treats. Once in awhile, she'll eat Friskies Party Mix out of my hand.

Where I hang out: She loves to sit on either of the towers, or on the window perch. She also like to sit in my bedroom window and watch the birds in the trees.

My favorite grubs: She loves any and all wet food, to the point that she tries to steal everyone elses.

My pet peeves: Not being able to go outside without a harness and leash.
Not being allowed to eat my fursibs food, cuz I want it all!

What I love about my owners: She and Dad made me a part of the family and I have a bigger place to roam around in. I also have many windows to look out of and see all the birds and other critters. They found a good place for my littermates to go.

My cat hobbies: Eat! Run through the house and play with Da Bird and other string or wand toys and sometimes my fursibs. Mom now takes me out in the front yard in the morning, so I can smell the grass, maybe eat a blade or two and chase bugs! Eat!

Pet motto: She doesn't have one, yet.

How We Met

A family was evicted from the mobile home park next door and they had to leave 5 cats behind. My husband and I took care of them for 3 days until animal control could come and collect them. We fell in love with Mischief and brought her home. The others went to an organization called A.A.R.F. (All About Rescue and Fixin') where they will be cared for until homes are found for them. They are a no-kill organization. We learned just this week (July, 2012) that all of her siblings have been adopted!

Hi Mischief and family!
Just pawing by with a quick meow. Callie's urine test results showed she still has a trace of blood showing up. The vet called Mom and Dad this morning and Callie had to go back for a penicillin shot and 10 more days of antibiotics. If after 10 days Callie still has traces of blood in her urine, then the vet will do x-rays. Callie had bladder crystals and stones many years ago, so we’re hoping that is not happening again. Callie has been on prescription food ever since she had that scary bladder surgery and Dad told the vet, Callie is no spring chicken anymore. The bladder surgery was quite tough on her! For a day there, we almost thought she was going to cross the Rainbow Bridge. But she fought hard and recovered nicely. Callie was only a couple years old then- now she is eleven!

We hope to see all our furiends at Queen Angel Sakura’s Memorial Day picnic on May 25th at the Cat’s Meow Resort. King Pete and the Royal Feline Squadron have an amazing airshow planned for the big Memorial Day event!

We too are mourning the loss of our dear furiend and future CC King Uncle Buddy Budd, but we have to try to celebrate his wonderful life, remembering the great times we had with him and his fun loving family. Cats like Uncle Buddy Budd are a real treasure and one we will never, ever forget. When we think of him, we can’t help but SMILE. :)

We sure hope your Mom's elbow feels better after getting a shot to help her. Hope it didn't hurt too much! We have sweet Queen Duchess in our prayers sweetie. Give her and your precious family warm hugs for us, okay? We love you all to pieces!

We left a vote with soft purrs, warm hugs and prayers for our furiends and their families in need.

Memories =^.^=
They left us their paw prints we no longer see,
their happiness still in our minds.
They left us fond memories to you and to me,
their friendship will last all of time.
They left us their shadows grow dimmer to fade,
but never forgotten we'll see.
They left us their photos to gaze at each day,
to brighten us up when we're down.
They left us their feelings their purrs and their meows,
that echo around empty rooms.
They left us those moments to think of and smile,
of footfalls not gentle, like horses.
They left us their playing they thought such a lark,
with toy mice and baubles a plenty.
And the house was all empty without our small friends,
but the love that they gave will remain...

just like yesterday
you're getting the first vote of the day and well janet almost rolled over and went back to sleep as she woke up it was just about 2:45!!! at least she slept through minus getting up and kicking sandy out of here as she would've meowed the room down like she did the other two nights when janet tried to squirt gun or ignore her tactics which sometimes work and others nope! just the 3 of us up as usual seeing haley sleeps by herself in the living room and won't stay the night with nat, mommy or janet. got the errands done and now master doesn't look like the lone ranger anymore, but the incredible hulk with that bump sticking off his forehead between his eyes result from a fall he took a week ago from his bed. they changed the direction of the bed half up against the wall and the other part now with a padded mat up against the side which doesn't have it. today its just gro-cery shopping at one store and might do take out this or next week likely next or the week after seeing janet's pay should be a bit better. she had to get new boots and found another pair on mark down from llbean just 3 days ago and got them yesterday so now she can throw the others into the dumpster! also not to long from now in the next 2 months new pants for work just pay for the shipping via overnight mail from the post office. they take care of all the rest. then once those are here get the other pair up there and there you have 2 new pairs almost for free! guaranteed for life and replaced not quite free unless you were to bring them back, trouble is janet needs one of two pairs she wears for a week or more here till the other pair arrives. sandy,ab,haley, angels

Cats & The Weather =^.^=
In the 1930's, a white male cat, named Napoleon, lived with his owner in Baltimore, USA. His observant owner, Mrs de Shields, noted that every time before it rained Napoleon would lie on the floor with his front paws extended and would tuck his head between them.

During Napoleon's lifetime there was a drought. The drought had continued for over a month when his owner noticed the clever cat adopt his "rain on the way" pose. According to the official forecast the weather was to continue dry. Unconvinced, Mrs De Shields telephoned a newspaper and told them that it was going to rain - her cat had prophesied it. It did indeed rain, and thereafter Napoleon's forecasts were published in the paper.

When he died, the tombstone over his grave was inscribed "Napoleon the Weather Prophet 1917 - 1936." It was said that in all the six years that he made his predictions he never got it wrong - which is more than can be said for human meteorologists!

Hi Mischief and family!
My sister Callie was due to go back to the vet for a urine test, to make sure the antibiotics did the trick, but my Mom postponed it until tomorrow. Mom was a little bit worn out after taking Ebony to the vet yesterday and now she is worried about his Upper Respiratory Infection, but you all know how our Moms worry. Anyway, Callie was happy to get a one-day reprieve, so we are all taking it easy today. Mom has the vacuum monster out, but Dad is insisting on helping to clean house this weekend and wants us all to rest with Mom. Sounds good to me!

The weather here is cloudy, but no rain is predicted. At least it’s not hot. Purrfect for catnapping inside. Callie and I miss going on our stroller morning walks, but hopefully next week our Mom will get the go ahead from her doctor and can start exercising again. Yay!

Hooray! Your Mom got her computer back! My Mom doesn't envy her having to go through all those emails. We hope her computer is good as mew!

Oh sweetie, we were delighted to hear that Queen Duchess is doing so well. That sweet kitty is such a fighter. We wish we could cover her with hugs right now. I'll bet that just makes your sweet Mom and Dad so happy to see her get around so well and eating too! We're keeping her and your precious family in our prayers.

My Mom's sinus infections will always be a problem. The surgeon, who happens to be her ear, nose & throat doctor too, said he tried to get all the infection out, but some is too close to the back of her eye socket and he also has to be careful not to leak any of the infection into her brain. So that's where the oral antibiotics come in,. Hopefully they will kill off any remaining infection. Mom likes and trusts her doctor. She just has to be careful when she feels a head cold coming on. Sigh! Old age is no fun at all. MOL!

We left a vote with purrs and hugs. We have our dear furiend Uncle Buddy Budd in our prayers, along with all our other special furiends and their families who are in need of all our prayers. We hope this little blurb puts a smile on your faces.:)

Hi Mischief and family!
My Mom got an urgent call from Ebony’s Mom Abarna this morning, saying Ebony was sneezing a lot and had a discharge coming from his eyes. Mom went over right away, put him in the cat carrier and took him to the vet. Ebony has an upper respiratory infection and was given a penicillin injection and a steroid injection. Ebony also had a clump of matted hair close to his behind that needed to be shaven off. He’ll have to go back to the vet in ten days and Abarna has to keep a close eye on Sugar Bear because the respiratory infection is contagious. Fortunately Sugar Bear has been vaccinated for this, although the vet says she could still contract it. We just have to watch her.

My Mom is still recovering from her sinus infection, so she had to wear the face mask the hospital gave her with instructions to wear it if she had to go outside. She felt very silly, but doesn’t want to take any chances at getting a relapse!

I am taking my antibiotics like a good kitty. I still hate the taste and I am counting down the days. Next on the list, Callie has to go back to the vet for another urine test. Mom is saving that for tomorrow!

We hope your Mom gets her computer back soon. We know how frustrating it is to work on a slow computer!

Give sweet Q. Duchess a warm hug for us. We hope she's having a better day today. We know your dear Mom and Dad are giving her the best care possible. She's got a lot of love in your house, and that's the most important thing! We always have your precious family in our thoughts and prayers sweetie.

We left a vote with purrs, hugs and prayers for our furiends and their families in need.

The Purr-fect Friend =^.^=
I'm big and huggable, just like a teddy bear
I'm so happy I got adopted and put in their care

Before my new home, I lived on the cold streets
I really love this place, I even get treats!

No one wanted me before, since I'm a senior, you see
Yet I purr like a kitten and can still climb a tree

Please consider a pet that is older in years
We give lots of love and take away all the tears

Hi Mischief and family!
Well, I started my liquid antibiotics this morning. My Mom thought she would need my Dad to help her, but they soon discovered it was easier to just let my Mom do it. I’m not ready to let my Dad handle me. Mom was able to hold me with one arm and use her other hand to squirt the medicine in my mouth. Afterwards, Mom held me for a few minutes before letting me run off. I forgave her quickly and rolled on my back for a belly rub. Hee, hee, hee! I have a feeling I’m going to be able to get a lot more belly rubs in the next several days.

We are all still taking good care of our Mom. Whitey has been unusually affection to Mom, clinging to her legs when she gets up and hopping back on the bed to lie by her side. We haven’t been going on our stroller walks, but Mom keeps telling us we will very soon. The weather has been overcast and cloudy the past few days, purrfect for resting in bed with our Mom.

Oh no! Your Mom's computer is sick again! I guess those viruses can be peaky to both humans and machines! MOL! We hope the computer people can get it fixed. We'll keep our paws crossed.

We have sweet Q. Duchess in our prayers. We hope the fluids and B12 shot make her feel better. Give her a soft hug and kiss for us. Your family too. We love you all very much and always have you in our thoughts and prayers.

We left a vote with purrs, hugs and prayers for our furiends and their families in need.

White Chin =^.^=
You have stepped out into your garden of grace
to observe trees, birds dancing like leaves,
watch grass shifting in waves
and to sniff wetness on flowers
after rearranging dark earth,
paws scrabbling at roots.

Now you slink gently as silence
venturing into conservatory, then house,
assume patrol position on wide windowsill
to ensure all your great outdoors is in its place
then you come to me,
butting me with nose and side of cheek,
licking my hand and arm,
purring friendship all over my knee.

Circling you wind down to curl your feathered tail
around yourself and me, relaxing completely
(except for satellite ears)
into curve of soft furry sleep...
white chin on grey paws.

Hi Mischief and family!
We sure have missed everyone. We have a lot of catching up to do so please bear with us. My Mom is moving at a snail’s pace. She is recovering from her sinus surgery nicely, thanks to all the get well wishes and prayers from our furiends, but she’s not one hundred percent yet. My sisters and I have been taking very good care of her with some help from our Dad of course.

My sister Callie will be finished with her antibiotics today (She had a UTI). Hooray! Unfortunately when I had my blood and urine tests last week at the vet, the vet discovered I have a urinary tract infection! I didn’t even feel sick! Mom took me to the vet this morning for a penicillin shot and a bottle of liquid antibiotics for 10 days. Thankfully the vet was able to get a chicken flavored compound. My dental cleaning is still scheduled for the first week in June if my UTI clears up. (Sigh!)

Whitey and Orangie are doing fine. We’ve all been sleeping on the bed with Mom, getting along pretty good. Whitey still hisses once and while, but her and Callie are starting to tolerate one another more and more. Ebony and Sugar Bear’s Mom Abarna came over to visit Mom last week. Abarna said both kitties are doing great and there haven’t been any recent attempts from Sugar Bear at escaping out the door. Whew! Good mews!

We are doing a happy dance for sweet Queen Duchess! We're always happy to hear when she is feeling better. We hope your entire family is doing well dear furiend. Give your pawrents big hugs for us. It seems like furever since we've been able to meow with you, but your family has been in our prayers every night!

Sending soft purrs, warm hugs and something to make you smile.:)

Please Don't Call Me Fluffy =^.^=
Of all the names in the world,
why did you have to call me that?
Recall the tale of a boy named Sue,
well now you done it to your cat.

I can understand when we first met,
I was little and pretty with lots of hair.
You thought, "Ah yes, we'll call him Fluffy."
But can't you see that wasn't fair?

Now I've grown into a big tough tom,
you see it doesn't suit me much.
I'm the laughing stock of the alleys,
you know you should have called me Butch.

I know I'm not the only one
had this burden on them fall.
So please remember when you choose...
We don't all stay fluffy, cute and small!

Hi Mischief,
How are you doing today? It is off and on sun and rather humid here. And, off and on rain too. I was able to spend some time in the yard before the sprinkle came. Now I am happy to be relaxing on the bench after my lunch. This coming week promises to be another busy one. The pool guys came and tore down our old pool and the new pool is to be installed some time this coming week. Just in time for the Memorial Day week-end. The boat is also getting a face lift as it needs a new cover. That is ordered and should be in by Thursday. Dad has his follow-up with his Podiatrist and also needs to get his drivers liscense photo taken. Those are always funny. Hehehe.!! Plus, Mom needs to do some laundry and continue to get her flowers planted. Oh my, just thinking about all of this activity makes me tired. I better get in a few winks. Have a great day and visit when you can. Purrs and a hug, Mittens..

We're glad that your mom spoke to Jane and we are sure that she enjoyed speaking to you. She is not sure if she will be coming back to CC but she enjoys hearing from CC friends. We're glad that Dutchess is hanging in there and is doing a little better. Your vet sounds like ours, she does lots of things gratis for regular clients, that is wonderful news that the mass has not gotten larger. We got a lot of rain here Thursday and Friday, it set a record for May rain for San Diego. Mom hopes it helped the drought, but we need much more! Ciao,

Dear Mischief & Family,
Twelve gorgeous Harley Davidsons come rumbling down the street, such beautiful machines shining in the sunlight. The song “Get Your Motor Running” is blasting from Dame Zoe Monique Puffalump's speakers. They are on a special mission today as they pull solemnly into into the drive way of Q. Duchess.

They get off their bikes and take off their helmets to reveal the Hairballz Rainbow Riders. They are Dame Zoe Monique Puffalump, Cyndee, Dame Mojo Blackbear, K. Winston, Angel Beast, Maggie Meme, Q. Lola, Angel Mallow, Talley, Kali, CoCo, and Angel K. Malachi. Angel K. Malachi walks up and rings the door bell. It is answered by Mischief. Angel K. Malachi says, “We have heard that your Q. Duchess is very unwell. Is it alright if we all pray for her”? “Of course”, says Mischief. She went and gathered the rest of her family.

The Rainbow Riders and Mischief and her family hold hands and paws and make a prayer circle. Angel K. Malachi begins, “O Lord, please look down upon Your servant Q. Duchess. Be with her ad guide her to health, if that be Your will. Comfort and hold up her pawrents in their time of need. We ask in Jesus name. Amen”. The circle all says, “Amen”.

Cyndee gives Mischief a bouquet of white lilies for Q. Duchess, saying, “I hope these will cheer her up a bit”. She said, “We also rode across your votey button for you today”.

The Hairballz Rainbow Riders get back on their bikes which have balloons on the back and streamers tied to the handle bars. They helmet up and Angel K. Malachi says, “Let's roll on down the highway.”

Honorary members Angel Ringo Starr and Q. Angel Yum Yum fly overhead sprinkling Angel Dust on the Rainbow Riders, always keeping them safe wherever the highway leads them.

Blessings to you,
Angel K. Malachi & the Hairballz Rainbow Riders

What’s mew with you? Just another hot & muggy day here in south Mississippi. I’m happy to be an indoor fellow who enjoys the central a/c. We are forecast for thunderstorms this weekend. Boo hiss!

Guess what? Dr. William is speaking at a vet conference on skin diseases this weekend. He is taking my records to the conference because my Feline Demodicosis is so very rare. Since it is not a common condition, only a limited number of cases have been published. He is also taking my photos (before, during treatment & after) and I am sure everyone will oooh & aaah over me! We are still very thankful for our wonderful vet & the many prayers for me in 2009. Without those, I would not be here today. God bless!

Happy Limerick Day Mischief
A mouse in her room woke Miss Dowd
She was frightened--it must be allowed.
Soon a happy thought hit her --
To scare off the critter,
She sat up in bed and meowed.

It took a while but we finally found a clean limerick to share...MOL! There were lots of nasty ones that mom said were for kitties a lot older than us but she wouldn't let us see them! She also mumbled something about kits (& kids) always being able to say bad words clearer than others so I guess we should be thankful she's keeping us out of trouble...for now...MOL!

It's a very chilly day after having storms yesterday but it's only supposed to last a couple of days before we get warm again. We sure hope so because we were getting used to having the windows open to chirp at birds.
We were rowdy earlier this morning after the calico cyclone (Q Trixie) & the white tornado (Fluffinella) began their romping rampages through the house attacking anyone that moved. Fluffinella even tackled mom's leg as she was walking through the living room but mom got even by tickling her tummy until she yowled uncle...MOL! Monkey did a couple of quick runs through the house but decided it was probably safer to stay close to Patches when she was tackled by both of us at the same time. Now it's eerily quiet since the rowdiest kitties (not us of course...MOL) are napping. Well we'd better take advantage of the calm & take a nap ourselves before they wake up.

Good evening dear Mischief, Mom Ruthann and all the fur babies! And happy Mother's Day for all the moms at your home.
Here in Argentina we celebrate Mother's Day in October. However, since we know you're celebrating today, we wanted to come for a special visit.
We had a cold weekend and Mommy told us it was time to turn the heaters on. Yes, of course we loved the idea.
All cats know the heaters are the purrfect place to have a lovely napp, specially when your kitty bed is close to them.
Mom and Dad went to the cinema last night but today the spent the whole day with us. We are always happy to have them home!
Too bad they have to go back tomorrow. Tee-hee!
We hope you have a very blessed night and a great week too. I send you 1.000.000 whisker kisses and hugs.

Hi Mischief and family!
My sisters and I are taking care of our Mom as she recovers from a sinus infection. We will only be doing our daily voting for a couple of days. Right now our household is in disarray.

Callie has another urinary tract infection! Mom took her back to the vet on Thursday. The vet gave her a penicillin injection and a stronger antibiotic. Callie threw up the new medicine after swallowing it. Then to top things off, Callie disappeared and my Mom was frantically searching for her from 6 a.m. until 2 p.m. My Mom was worried that Callie might have slipped out the door when Dad left for work. My Mom tore apart the house first, looking for Callie everywhere, but no luck. Then Mom spent several hours combing the neighborhood in case she had somehow gotten outside. No luck outside either. Finally when Mom came back home after searching outside, she found Callie and me sitting together in the living room, as if nothing had happened!

Now that Callie was found, Mom called the vet to tell her Callie hates her new antibiotics and will NOT swallow it. So Mom went back to the vet and we are trying a different liquid antibiotic. Mom is able to purée Callie’s wet food in a blender, then in a syringe, combine the liquid medicine with her puréed cat food. Mom filled one syringe with just the cat food, and another syringe with the cat food and medicine. Mom gave Callie the cat food syringe first, then the one with meds. It worked! Callie didn’t meow and run off. She did throw up a little bit, but it was an hour later and the vet said the medicine had enough time to get into her system. So we have our paws crossed.

Needless to say, the swelling under Mom’s left eye is not better. She thinks it might be because of all the excitement. So today Dad is insisting she stay in bed with her eyes closed. We’ll keep you posted.

We were heartbroken to hear our precious Queen Sakura had crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Our Queen was a fighter until her tiny body just couldn’t keep going anymore. Our thoughts and prayers are with her grieving Mom and family. It actually rained here on Thursday, very hard with thunder off and on all day. It was as if the sky opened up and was crying for the sadness in our CC Kingdom.

Sending soft purrs and warm hugs. We have sweet Q. Duchess and your family in our prayers dear furiend.

Quite suddenly is real.

good morning!
well the news was mixed with the hearing evaluation her middle ear is screwing up the works and recommendations to see a spec-ialist to see what can be done. first she has to go back to see her doctor to get a referral out to see the specialist and that will have to be done on her day off or in the afternoon of another day after she's in from work, then to see that special-ist and if he/she recommends surgery, then it'll have to be done either july, sept., or dec, only 3 weeks opened up as appt. in oct are already booked and set, then the start of june and middle are booked for a colonoscopy to be done and prep is the messy part and the toilet is your best friend that day as she well knows. she did this last time and started well in advance eating things which cleaned her out constantly and when the time came for the other stuff it was just liquid which went through so not a lot of painful gas or anything. once home yesterday she walked the lower middle st. block taking pictures, came home finished online stuff by a record 1:30 and sat outside till the bugs got the best of her came back in and made pasta, sauce and hot dogs which they'll have tonight.sandy,ab,haley, angels

Hi Mischief and family!
It looks like me and Callie won’t get our stroller walks for a day or two, but that’s okay because we are all busy taking care of our Mom. Mom had to visit her doctor again today for her chronic sinus infection. The swelling under her eye wasn’t worst this morning, but it was still visible. Dad wanted to go with her, but the school year is ending soon so he really shouldn’t miss work. So we had the house to ourselves until Mom came home. She was sent to the outpatient clinic and received antibiotics via IV. Her doctor checked her before she came home, pleased at the reduction in the inflammation in her sinuses. Mom felt better and her fever is almost gone. Hooray! Now it’s her turn to take antibiotic meds for 2 weeks! Callie is having a good laugh! I’m not laughing because I know my turn is coming up soon when I get my teeth cleaned. Mom hasn’t tried to get a urine sample from me yet. She told me she knows she’ll feel better in a couple of days so I better get ready. Yikes!

Thank you dear furiends for your prayers for my pawrents. They really helped a lot.

My Mom had to give sub-q fluids to one of her doggies for several months and he would always be wobbly and off balance for a while. The vet said it was because the fluids need a little time to flow throughout the body and absorb, sort of evening out. When you give fluids through an IV, the fluids settle in one area. Once the fluids are in and her doggie would get up to walk, he would be okay after the fluids had time to disperse throughout his body. Mom is guessing its the same with Q. Duchess. Has your Mom mentioned her concern to the vet? My Mom is learning that you have to ask the vet lots of questions, otherwise a lot goes unsaid. Vets are a lot like human doctors. MOL!

We have sweet Q. Duchess in our prayers. She sounds like such a brave and strong kitty. I think she'll let your dear pawrents know when she is ready to go to heaven. God bless all you. Mom wants to cry right now.:(

Hello Mischief
Awww, looky at you & Molly sleeping together! How cute y'all are. We would probably be afraid of a dog since we have never seen one.

We had excitement in MS this past weekend. There were 2 small earthquakes in central Mississippi Caturday night. They registered 3.2 and 3.0 and were about 90 miles north of us so we did not feel any shaking. Thank goodness, because that would have scared me to pieces!

Tomorrow is our PawPaw’s second urinary test (cystoscopy). Afterwards, Dr. Clark will give the results of both tests & his recommendations for surgery/treatment. We would appreciate your prayers.

Hi Mischief and family!
We had a busy day here today. Mom took Orangie to the vet for her booster shots this morning. While waiting, a dog was brought in that had been hit by a car, so Mom had to bring Orangie back later. In the meantime, Mom’s cold is turning into a sinus infection, so she went to see her doctor. He gave her an injection of antibiotics and said if the swelling in her left eye doesn’t get better by tomorrow, she needs to come back for IV antibiotics. Mom had a sinus infection before that landed her in the hospital, so she can’t just hope it goes away on its own.

So Mom came home, got Orangie back to the vet (Orangie is such a good girl!) and she got her booster shots. Then the vet told Mom she needs to have me (Whiskers) brought back in for blood tests before my dental cleaning AND the vet wants Mom to try to get a urine sample from me first. Good luck with that Mom! Mom is going to try real hard because I get so upset at the vet and they don’t want to stress me out too much.

So the next couple of days, we might be late in answering my blogs, but don’t worry. We’ll keep you updated.

Yes, the lactose-free milk at the market is much cheaper than the Cat Milk and it really seems to work.

We were thrilled to hear sweet Q. Duchess gain a little bit of weight! We are all doing happy cat dances for her. Bless her heart! Give her a big hug for us. We know it has a lot to do with the tender loving care she gets from your pawrents. Your Mom and Dad are angels!

We hope your weather stays nice dear furiend. Give your precious family our love.

sleepover tonight/games tomorrow
we hit 85 here yesterday and gonna do 80 today! cooler only up-per 70s just for tomorrow, then 80s through till monday then 60s and 70s again and rain monday night to showers on tuesday and next wed/thurs upper 60s and lower 70s so back to normal again. no rain this week either making it the second in a row without any rain as the front which was supposed to give us showers pooped out and well they went well south and way up north of us. as a matter of fact janet saw 65 here this morning and likely we won't see that again till this weekend when it's warmer out again. things are sprouting in her gardens lettuce/carrot/peas are all up and not a thing so far in her herb garden or mommy's little one outback of the house/windows. got nothing to do after work as yesterday there was the bank run, uptown to the town hall to get a new license for pepper $5, and down to stop and shop for prescriptions for mommy, then aldi's for milk. nat was a bit put out but janet had him call before they left as he had a few questions on the newest pokemon cards and yes, they were in and put out mid afternoon so he called his nutty cousin who at the time wasn't doing anything to come and get him and they were there for an hour and a half before he was back home again. he did get the lawn next door mowed 2 days ago and janet tried to get a water stain out of glass, got most, but the cleaners she had for glass she couldn't find the stuff so used a multipurpose one and well it just left the marks of the stain, know how to get that out? she's going to try today with our glass cleaner as they'll be home sometime tomorrow. sandy,ab,haley, angels

Hi Mischief and family!
It was a quiet weekend at home. Dad is still coughing and recovering from his cold and Mom is fighting off a cold. We gave our pawrents lots of purr therapy.

Orangie has a vet appointment on Tuesday for her booster shots. Orangie is very docile when it comes to getting into her cat carrier. At least one of us is!

Has your Mom ever tried Lactose-free Milk for Shorty, Dayzee and BC? My sister Callie likes milk, but it gave her the runs too. When Mom switched to Lactose-free milk, the runs disappeared. Plus Mom can buy it at any market.

Thanks for trying to boost my courage up for my upcoming teeth cleaning. I'll keep reminding myself, if sweet little Q. Duchess can do it, I better step up to the plate! Mom is worried about giving me my antibiotics by herself, but I'm pretty calm around my Mom. Having my Dad help would just make things worse, getting me all riled up! MOL!

My Mom just bought some Feliway spray to try on the cat carrier next time Callie has to go to the vet. But your Mom's idea about asking the vet for something to calm Callie before getting into the cat carrier is much better. Mom is going to ask the vet tomorrow when she takes Orangie in for her shots. My Mom always feels so bad when Callie pees once she knows she is going into the carrier. Callie doesn't squirm or meow, she just looks so scared and pees.:(

We're glad to hear sweet Q. Duchess is eating, drinking water and using her litter box. She is such a strong, determined kitty. God bless her. We always have her and your dear family in our prayers.

We’re trying to get caught up on our blogs. We hope you had a nice weekend.

♥ Helloooooo Dearest Friends! ♥
How are you doing, friends?...
Mom and I are super glad to be writing this kitty letter to you! It's been a very long time since we have blogged to our friends on CC and we've missed everyone more than we can ever tell you.
Lots of things happened at home over the last months. But where do we start telling you?...
Well, our parents have been recenlty on vacations. Dad was invited to a cardiology congress in the province of Tucumán (in the north of our country) and after that, Momma and Dad traveled also to the provinces of Salta and Jujuy. They had a great time visiting many neat places. For those of you who have FB accounts, you are welcome to see the pictures there.
They did an "adventure trip" to the saltworks (Salinas Grandes) in Jujuy. Momma told us it was a really amazing experience. The salt looked like snow in the photos.
We are now having Autumn, although the temperatures in the north are always warm. Buenos Aires is plenty of fallen leaves in the streets. Mom likes this season.
With a very heavy heart we have to tell you that our brother Simba has been missing for two months. Mom keeps praying to St. Gertrude for him to come back home, but she also thinks it's difficult. Not knowing what happened to him really breaks Mom's heart. Our parents have looked for him all over the neighborhood without success. Miss Muni misses him so much. She also misses Mrs. Pucca, who crossed to the Rainbow Bridge last February. Dad and Mom have been thiking about adopting a new kitten, we will keep you updated.
The rest of us are all doing well, napping, being lazy and spoiled. LOL!
Mom is adjusting to her new work, she is still working at the hospital but in a different department and she's happy about it. Hopefully she will have some more time to help us to write to our friends.
We took a couple of months off CC but we are not gone and as we said, we missed everyone a lot!
We hope you are all doing very fine at your homes. We are sending you a huge bunch of hugs and lots of extra special whisker kisses... And yes... We're back!
With lots of love,
from your friends always,
♥ Lola & all the Buenos Aires Kitties! ♥

PS: We'll be looking forward to hear from you soon!

Hi Mischief and family!
Callie and I had our stroller walk this morning, albeit a quick one. It was 62 degrees at 6:15 AM, and the walking trail had quite a few walkers.

Afterwards, Mom had shopping to do at Petco (Whoohoo!); but she also had a visit with our vet to discuss my upcoming dental cleaning. Mom is worried, since I’ve never had my teeth cleaned, that I will stress out and it’s imperative that we get some antibiotics for me that I’ll actually swallow without killing myself and my pawrents. MOL! Our vet has a small practice (she is the only vet!), but she is always ready to listen to my Mom’s many questions - (Hee, hee!) - and the vet always comes back with answers.

My oral surgery was changed from May 29 to June 1st. I must have been granted a short reprieve! My Dad pointed out it’s their 34th wedding anniversary on May 29th, so I caught a break. :|

My Mom says Callie is always the easiest to take to the vet, but it breaks her heart to see Callie pee pee when she puts her in the carrier. That's how scared Callie is! My Mom knows she is in for a fight when I have to take liquid meds after my teeth cleaning. The vet knows me too! If necessary, my Mom will take me to the vet every day for the antibiotics. I have a feeling brushing my teeth every other day is in my future!

We have sweet Q. Duchess in our thoughts and prayers. Maybe she can give me a pep meow on how to be brave! My Mom always calls me her big baby boy, so I guess I better live up to it! MOL!

We have your family in our prayers dear furiend.

Hi Mischief and family!
My sister Callie had her recheck at the vet today. The vet needed a urine sample from Callie, but as always, Callie peed on my Mom while she was getting put inside the cat carrier. Mom was ready with a change of clothes. The vet gave Callie a diuretic, and after half an hour, Callie was free to go home. The vet said she looks good, weighs 12.5 pounds (down from almost 14 pounds at her heaviest), but the test results won’t be back until Friday or Monday. Yippee!

Next month I’m on the vet-hit list with my teeth cleaning! I don’t even want to think about that yet.:(

My Dad slept better last night, not as much coughing, so we all got a good nights sleep! Mom put BenGay on his chest last night to help his congestion and it seemed to help. But us cats hate the awful smell! We all slept downstairs! Hee, hee, hee!

Hope to see you all at the Coronation tonight for Queen Sakura! We have our paws crossed for your Mom's computer- those darned things!

We hope Q. Duchess is doing well and getting lots of rest. We have you and all your family in our prayers sweet furiend.

Hi Mischief and family!
That ole blogger of mine was running way behind today. My Dad’s cold has settled in his chest. He felt so lousy this morning, he let my Mom convince him to see the doctor today after he gets home from school.

We are all fine, just tired from a sleepless night of Dad’s coughing keeping us awake. MOL! That’s okay, we’ll put in a few extra hours of catnapping while our pawrents are gone.
Mom and Dad got home from the doctor finally. Dad got some cough medicine to help his congestion and hopefully help him sleep tonight. His doctor also prescribed a medication for his allergies. Right now he uses over-the-counter meds and they’re not helping.

Give your family and sweet Q. Duchess hugs for us sweetie. We have all of you in our prayers.

Hi Mischief and family!
Just a reminder for tomorrow’s “Merry Sport’s Day” at Sandy, Ana, Haley and the Angels’ home. They’ll also be honoring the first anniversary of the day K. Malachi became an Angel. His Mom is very despondent and could use some CC goodwill and cheer. Angel K. Malachi’s page number is 194826, and the “Merry Sport’s Day” event can be found on pages 270892 and 270893 - the homes for Sandy, Ana and the family. The weather will be cloudy with a slight chance of rain, but the temps should be in the comfortable 50’s - purrfect for getting together with furiends!

My sister Callie will be finished with her antibiotics on Wednesday and my Mom will take her to see the vet on Thursday for a recheck. Callie is doing great, thanks to all the well wishes and prayers from our CC furiends.

The weather here was a warm 86 degrees yesterday, but is supposed to cool down to 80 degrees today. It was purrfect this morning for our cat stroller walk. The walking trail was deserted and we still haven’t seen our feathered Quail furiends, but someone is eating the birdseed we scatter.

Today looks like a good day for cat napping outside while Mom brings out the dreaded vacuum monster. Our Dad is going to try to come home early from school today. He coughed a lot last night, but claims he felt better this morning. Mom is making chicken and vegetable soup today, a sure cure for a cold. I can smell the chicken cooking in the kitchen and I’m licking my chops. MOL!

We hope your pawrent's friend is doing better at the hospital. We're keeping him in our prayers. We're also hoping Q. Duchess is having a good day. Give her a big hug for us and let her know we always have her in our prayers.

Hopefully your Mom is feeling better from cold and not coughing as much. Give your pawrents hugs for us too sweetie!

Hi Mischief and family!
We were devastated to learn this morning that our dear furiend King Pushkin became an Angel. With his failing health, but remarkable ability to always bounce back on his paws, we hoped and prayed he would be the one to defy all odds and live furever. But we knew it was an impossible wish. It was our dear furiend’s time to be called back home to Heaven where his Grampa was waiting to greet to him. That thought made us smile. We have King Pushkin’s Mum in our prayers. It’s always hardest for those left behind on earth, but at least we have a lot of precious memories.

We are all doing fine. Dad has a bad cold, but went to school to spread his germs. :( Mom told him to cover his mouth and wash his hands! My sister Callie is taking her antibiotics without too much fuss and she’ll be finished by Wednesday.

We hope your Dad enjoys his vacation. It sounds like you Mom and Dad always have a full schedule, but it also sounds like they have a lot of fun together. that's wonderful.

We'll keep their friend who is in the hospital, in our prayers. We're glad he is off the ventilator tube. Losing so much blood from his pic line sounds very serious. We hope the hospital doesn't let him go home until he's very stable.

We had so many issues with CC this weekend. Finally on Sunday my Mom just shut down the computer! Today is better, but we are very sad about the mews of our dear furiend K. Pushkin, it took a while to get going today.

We hope Q. Duchess is having a good day today. Give her and the family big hugs for us. We always have you and your precious family in our prayers.

Hi Mischief and family!
We have been having some strange issues with CC that started last night. We keep getting “logged out” automatically, having to log back in over and over again. Very frustrating!

Callie has been doing great taking her antibiotics. She likes the tuna water chaser more than she dislikes her meds. Plus getting her off guard in the mornings seems to be working. Callie should be finished with her meds by Wednesday. Hooray!

My Dad woke up this morning with a bad head cold, sneezing and coughing. And are you ready for this? We got RAIN last night! Not a lot- .25 inches, but what a wonderful surprise! We’ll take anything we can get.

Oh sweetie! We love the mew photos in your gallery! Look at you lying next to your doggie fursis Molly! She is a beauty, just like you! My Mom loves doggies and she sure does miss having one in the house. I hope the picture of Molly doesn't give her any ideas. Yikes! Midnight is so handsome and looks very healthy. We can see his eye watching the photographer very carefully!

We are so sorry to hear about your pawrents friend that's in the hospital. He was doing so well! Well at least it happened while he was still at the hospital where they could help him immediately. It could have easily been a lot worse if this had happened at home. We will keep him in our prayers dear furiend, along with you, Queen Duchess and your precious family.

We bet your Mom and Dad's garden is going to look beautiful. We hope your weather cooperates. With the drought getting really bad here, Mom had to replace some of the plants in the front yard with drought-resistant plants (not very colorful). Soon we will only be able to water the yard every other day, but it hasn't been enforced yet. My Mom is thinking of replacing the lawn with rocks and dirt, but she wants to consult with a landscaper. A brown lawn just doesn't look very nice. :(

Give your pawrents big hugs for us. We hope your Dad is feeling better and able to eat a little bit. We always have your dear family in our prayers. Be sure to give Queen Duchess a soft hug for us too! We're going to her page right now to see her mew pictures.

We left a vote with purrs, hugs and prayers for our furiends and their families in need. We hope you’re having a nice weekend so far!

Hi Mischief and family!
We had a little excitement here last night, but it ended well. About 6:30 last night, Ganesh, our next door neighbor knocked on the door. He was frantic! Sugar Bear had gotten outside. Mom and Dad opened their garage door and the door that leads to the back yard with the cat fence, and they went out on foot to search the neighborhood. Mom asked her neighbor to wait at his home in case Sugar Bear showed up. By 9 pm, no luck and Dad had to go to bed. Mom stayed outside with a flashlight and a bag of cat treats, combing the neighborhood. Mom came home about 10 pm, told the neighbor to leave his garage open for the night and she would do the same. Maybe Sugar Bear would come home on her own. Mom closed the door to our backyard and decided to take one more walk around the block. That’s when she heard a faint mew! It was coming from our backyard. Yep, Sugar Bear had gotten locked in our backyard. She must have run back there when the search was on and was hiding really good because Mom and Dad both looked back there very carefully several times. (Obviously not good enough!) Mom called her neighbor told them the good news and it took her another half hour to scoop up Sugar Bear in the backyard and then take her home. Whew! Mom scolded Sugar Bear, but then had to give her a big hug and kiss. Sugar Bear was covered with leaves and twigs. Mom cleaned her up and took her home. I’ll bet Sugar Bear slept good last night!

My Mom held Callie when they woke up this morning and Dad got her medicine down before she even knew what was happening. Mom had some tuna water ready as a chaser. Success!

We're happy to hear your Dad got a good nights sleep finally. Poor guy needed to hold some food down in his tummy. We hope he's back to 100 percent soon.

Yippee! Q. Duchess is holding her weight at 5 pounds! That's very encouraging. We're glad your Mom is so great about monitoring Q. Duchess, knowing when she needs more medicine to feel better. Thankfully the pain meds aren't causing too much of a problem with her stool. Your Mom and Dad are like guardian angels! that's okay
thanks for stopping by as the rain held off till around 6 when supper was late as well seeing janet took a shortcut around the usual longer route scalloped potatoes taste so much better the longer way, but time wasn't on her side so parboiling potatoes slightly and then getting them into the oven with ingredients as well as milk made it just as good. she did walk 3 times and got in the longer walk as well around the entire middle st. block and was back here before 7am and walked pepper again up the street some. then walked again before lunch and again before supper seeing the rain/showers moved on in around 6-6;30 so it was nice they got that walk in. was also warmer than predicted mid to upper 60s for the day as we did see the sun till around noontime and then it was gone poof under incoming clouds from the southwest. now it'll only make the lower 50s today, mid to-morrow, upper sat and lower to mid 60s sun-wed of next week with pop up showers till mon ending as showers at that time. janet doesn't know which day will hold grocery shopping or errands today, if not shopping that'll be tomorrow only and errands today more than likely including a stop at a garden center for leeks/kale/shallots or onions and that's all janet will get for her garden for now, can't plant anything else till later next month after threats of frost are gone. sandy, ab,haley, angels
