Frost on car windshield

A tingling, misty marvel
Blew hither in the night,
And now the little peach-trees
Are clasped in frozen light.
Upon the apple-branches
An icy film is caught,
With trailing threads of gossamer
In pearly patterns wrought.
The autumn sun, in wonder,
Is gayly peering through
This silver-tissued network
Across the frosty blue.
The weather-vane is fire-tipped,
The honeysuckle shows
A dazzling icy splendor,
And crystal is the rose.
Around the eaves are fringes
Of icicles that seem
To mock the summer rainbows
With many-colored gleam.
Along the walk, the pebbles
Are each a precious stone;
The grass is tasseled hoarfrost,
The clover jewel-sown.
Such sparkle, sparkle, sparkle
Fills all the frosty air,
Oh, can it be that darkness
Is ever anywhere!

Hello Monte & welcome to CC! If you need any help getting around please let me know & I'll be happy to help you!
Today is supposed to be near 80 for the first time since last week…woohoo! We’ve got a mostly sunny day with a slight breeze so it’s very nice & the outside crew is taking advantage of it…MOL! Joseph is laying under the birdbath dreaming about catching a bird but the rest of the crew are in the back soaking up the sun.
Trixie has been her typical cyclonic self so far today & wouldn’t quit pouncing on my head after breakfast until I flipped her over my shoulder. After she shook herself off (MOL) she pounced on Patches. That went over like a lead balloon…MOL! The race was on & I was not about to get in the middle of it. I carefully made my way to the bedroom, avoiding the nearby spins of the Calico/Tortie race, & took the prime spot. I was just starting to drift off when she came bounding into the room, ran across the bed & dived full force into me. Wrestlemania was now in full swing & the calico cyclone was definitely overmatched! She was pinned so fast I think her head is still spinning…but at least the rest of her slowed down…MOL!
It’s now naptime at NICE H.Q. & dreamyland is calling my name so will purr myself happily to sleep beside Patches & meow at all of you again tomorrow.

P.S. We have learned how to navigate the ‘new & improved DC’ fairly well & our frustrations from yesterday have eased but agree wholeheartedly with Aurora (see blog on CMR page) about the timing of the voting being hard to deal with. We have better things to do than make sure we visit at the exact time each day!
