How We Met
Raven was a shelter cat. She had been rescued by a local rescue organization. My Wife had just lost her cat Spooky to feline leukemia, and she was pretty down about it. I happened to notice Raven at an adoption event at our local pet store. She looked a lot like Spooky did, and I thought that my Wife might like her. The lady at the event said she would hold her for me. I went home and got my Wife then brought her back to the pet store on the premise of getting some cat food. Then I steered her over near the cats. The lady already had Raven out of her cage. She handed her to me and then I let my Wife hold her and it was love at first sight. She does NOT get along with our other cats very well, but we make allowances.
