How We Met
I adopted him from the Toledo Area Humane Society. I picked up a tortie kitten, but she wasn't interested in me. so this little guy kept rubbing up agaist his cage. i had him taken out and it was instant.

Hi
We made it through the storm okay with the power going out twice but it only stayed off for a few minutes. It was still rainy and cold today so very little bird TV around here . A couple of silly squirrels were chasing each other around the tree yesterday during the storm. I can't believe they didn't blow away from the high winds MOL.

This week’s special recognition kitties are the 4 of 5 furbabies left behind after their beloved mom Marie was called by the angels after a battle with Pancreatic Cancer. The TUMBLEWEEDS #238074…Itsy Bitsy (F-14), Add-a-Line (F-10) , Rusty Buckets (M-9) and Blondie (F-9)…were well known by their new furever family before they came to live with them. Their previous ‘owner’ was known for her gentle, kind & loving approach as each day dawned anew, yet the torment in her eyes about the welfare of her fubabies when she feared “something might happen to her” , was obvious to her dear furiends when they talked to her. They put her mind at ease one day when they agreed to take all of her precious kitties if anything happened & it lifted her spirits to give her the peace of mind that all human feline parents deserve. About a week before their mom was called to the angels she placed a call to her dear furiends & said… "It’s time my friend, please come get them because I can't care for them and spend time with them the way they deserve". This was heartbreaking news for the kitties, but also for the dear furiends because they knew she wouldn’t give them up unless she had no other choice. And so they came into their new furever home where they’re loved dearly, just as their angel mom intended! They got their group name when their fur came out during grooming time & rolled into little balls that kept skirting around the room, just like tumbleweeds. It made their new parents laugh to watch it & from that moment forward they were known as MARIE’S TUMBLEWEEDS #238074. Itsy Bitsy & Add-a-Line had the most trouble adjusting to their new home but eventually they settled into a quiet, normal routine & have come to love their new parents just as much as their fursibs. Not only would we like to honor MARIE’S TUMBLEWEEDS #238074 today but also the loving mom they lost & their new adoring parents. Verona #230517 is a beautiful Himalayan kitty who is also known to her family as, "The Vicious Clawed Paw", and she loves to play and play and then play some more. Some of the things that Verona #230517 loves to play with are aluminum foil and rubber bands. Verona enjoys dunking rubber bands in her water dish and takes great pleasure in stealing the rubber bands first before giving them a good soaking. Verona #230517 makes a game of chase for her Grandpa and mom when it is time for her to be put in the bathroom for night time sleeping. She insists that they catch her first before she will let them put her in her sleeping quarters. That game keeps her humans active and gives them some exercise before they go to sleep also. Verona #230517 has several furry siblings but she enjoys the company of her brother, Figgaro best. Verona #230517 also has a special tom named Galaxy that she is very fond of. The temperature was high 72 & low was 35 this morning, now it's 71 with humidity 31% & wind is 10 MPH WSW. Tuesday's suppose to be Sunny☼ & High 68.

My furrst Momma Barbara, and my Cousin Lillian (now my mew momma) had made arrangements for me to be in momma Lillian's care so she could find me a mew home when my momma Barb went to her Forever Sleep which happened 11/27/2011. Mom Lillian had made posters of me and put them up in several places in January 2012 then decided to keep me in June since not one human called about me. No one wanted a 10 year old Calico Manx xcept my now family.

Beautiful Callie spent most of her life with her first momma, Barbara, cousin the CC's beloved Knight Family. Unfortunately, Barbara went to forever sleep in November of last year and Callie was immediately taken in by her cousins. They originally planned to find her a new home but no one responded to the flyers put out all around town. Now, she is a permanent member of the Knight family and the Girl Power Crew. She spends most of her time in a private crate due to her not be fond of other cats, but she is getting better and spending more time out of the crate. Callie enjoys opening cupboard doors, laying next to her dad watching tv and playing with her toys in her crate. Please paw on by her page 239447 and help her get her very own COTD badge. Thank you for visiting- I left you a vote too! You are so very cute. I'm glad your Mommy got another baby. Isn't it fun getting adopted? I remember getting picked out of 3 litters at a neighbor's house. Thought I'd never get away from that horrible little boy who carried me around all day. Now I sleep in Nathan's room every night,(he's a big boy in college) and roam the house all day. There are 8 of us, but we have certain rooms we are allowed to stay in so we're not all in the living room at the same time. Mom says that would drive her nuts! We keep each other entertained and Mom does her chores. Well, I hope you get a brother or sister, 'cause it's so much fun to chase each other around the house.
