janet slept really well after leaving the windows opened up wide all night seeing we had a dry day yesterday although it turned humid and warm lower to mid 80s. going to have the same today, although boomers this afternoon so we have the garage and breezeway all set to go in case we have to use it. janet and nat will be getting netting out over the garden as she's gotta get that done before the birds dig up all her stuff like last year! has a 7:45 dr's appt. for warts and likely maybe meds if she thinks janet needs it for the sinus infection, otherwise janet says she's doing okay, not as tired and feeling lazy! sandy,ana,haley,angels

Thanks for asking about my little paw. It is alright. Them antibiotcis are taking the swelling away and the redness is also gone, but the nail is still protruding, so we know more FRI.

Louie looks good..his scratches healed nicely, all I can see is a small scab on his nose, he came out today and tried to come back in and I got him again, but this time he just ran off...all i did was growl at him.

We were hot hot hot today, it is still May and we hit 89*, can you believe that?? it was also humid, we were under a severe t-storm warning til 8pm, but we only had a 5 minute shower, mom said that was not even enough to water 1 flower, so mom watered her flowers at 8pm when the sun went down.

Right now we are watching our game, and we are ahead in the 3rd period, so maybe we will win this and be ahead by 2 games. Our arena is LOUD, you can't hear much of anything except for the fans. The announcers said it is deafening...MOL!!!

Mom said she will take a cool shower and drowen herself, she is so hot....she couldn't hang outside with the heat, so she came in and painted her dresser and vanity, but cause of the humidity it is taking forever to dry.

Hey Jakar!
Sorry you couldn't be at the rink too much last night; I was with Dean and Anderson, mom didn't make it at all. Mom went down to her dad's and spent the night at his house and they made a flower arrangement for Grandma's headstone and got some flowers and visited the cemetary. Then they dug up and planted Grandpa's flowerbed; mom was pooped after that so they vegged out Sunday night. They had coney dogs and root beer for din din.

Today they went shopping for a car for Grandpa but when they gave him the trade in price, he pouted and said he would just drive his old car for a while longer.

My mom isn't on FB and I don't think she will be, so she misses some things. I think the rink should be a place we share joys and sorrows, and have fun with the games, but no bickering. Hope the bickering blows over. Soon we will be into summer and there are fewer who come over the summer; could be a summer break is a good idea for some.

OH gotta fill you in on the funky looking beast mom, dad and sis brought home. It smells horrible and makes yippy noises but sleeps a lot. Yep it must be a puppy. Mom says she is 8 weeks old and a very sweet little girl.

I haven't decided if it's dangerous or just annoying. I study it from a distance and if it gets too close, I hiss and get out the foxy Halloween tail. I'm watching it now in mom's room, don't know what's gotten into mom that she lets something like that in here. Geesh!

Many cat lovers are now savvy that indoor cats are safer cats, while others still think that cats deserve freedom to run in the great outdoors. When humans domesticated cats, we took on the responsibility for their health & welfare. Part of that responsibility is to keep cats safe & in good health. For those holdouts for letting cats roam free, consider these top reasons to keep cats indoors.

• To Monitor Your Cat’s Urinary Tract/Bowel Health. With an outdoor cat, pet owners are unable to monitor painful attempts to urinate or poop. The first, a red flag warning for UTI or urinary tract blockage; the second, a red flag for constipation, bowel blockage or mega-colon.

• Indoor Cats Are Safe From Predators & Dog Packs. Outdoor cats are below predators in the food chain, & they are sitting ducks for owls, raptors, coyotes, & native big cats. Dogs running in packs will consider a cat fair game; even one large dog can easily overpower & kill a cat. Remember that some dogs are also bred to attack; they are not really to blame when their instinct takes over. Even with a full set of fangs & claws, the cat rarely has a chance when caught outside.

• Indoor Cats Don't Create Neighbor Problems. Even "well-bred" cats will venture into neighbors' yards when allowed to roam free. People who don't like cats will not tolerate cats using their gardens as litter boxes, & will sometimes resort to extreme measures to keep the cats out.

• Indoor Cats Rarely Get Abscesses From Fighting. Cats are very territorial & will defend their territory to the death, if challenged by another cat. At the very least, these territorial battles often result in abscessed wounds, which can be deadly if not treated in time. There's also the chance, of course, of cats contracting FIV from deep bite wounds.

• Indoor Cats Are Safe From Human Abuse. Freely-roaming cats are easy targets for gangs of youths with time on their hands, for cat-haters, who seek cats out for target practice, & for neighbors who would think nothing of killing a cat for trespassing on their property. Although animal protection laws are beefing up, prosecution will never bring a loved cat back to life.

• Indoor Cats Can Get Plenty of Exercise. Cats do get exercise, but they can get it safely with interactive toys, climbing towers, scratching posts, & other indoor toys; all much safer than running from dogs or fighting with other cats. Remember also that there are safe compromises for the outdoor experience.

♥ Honoring our fur mama, BABY KNIGHT'S 13286 Three Year Forever Sleep on Monday, May 20th!!!!

♥ Well, the Yard Sale is over til after the first of June, but not the work for mom and dad as they will still be going thru the storage shed next with throwing things away and saving things for the next sale!!!! The last two days of the sale never even made $40 for both days!!!!

♥ Mom and dad has been doing a bunch of weeding in the front yard in between customers during the sale and rain. Today, mom went in the back yard and scooped out the big 3X5 (used to be 5X5) sand`litter box then she got her new weedeater assembled, as she had to take the other one back to Wal*Mart then went to Lowes and got one there instead. She got the front yard weedeated then she mowed the front yard.

♥ Mom did open dad's bedroom window this morning so we could be out in the cattery. It was nice getting the fresh air.

Oh no Jakar! It's been a RUFF day and I do mean RUFF. Sis and the pawrents brought home a small smelly beast and she is such a doofus. You would think she has never seen a cat before. She didn't know proper etiquette on how to treat the kitties. I don't understand why mom acts fond of her, who would want *that* to lick your face? YUCK!

Hi Jakar!
This morning my Mom was with the outside kitties for over an hour. I was getting pretty tired of waiting! Mom sat on the floor again, to get to eye level with the outside cats, and Whitey really likes this. Whitey kept rubbing her face all over Mom & purring. Mom’s clothes were covered in fur! Callie and I were quick to check it out and sniff to see whom she had been with. MOL!
Orangie was reluctant at first, but then would sneak behind Mom, sniff her and then go running away. Mom didn’t move and Orangie kept coming back like it was a game. Sniff and Run! Afterwards the kitties ate, not really noticing any scents from Callie and me. (I really think I need to spray that cat carrier. MOL!) Mom says this was a good morning. :)

Hi Jakar!
My sister Callie and I got to play in the garage inside Whitey & Orangie’s cat carrier yesterday. We even ate out of their dry cat food dish! I tried to bring one of their catnip mice toys back inside with me, but Mom caught me and put it back. Aw, gee Mom! So this morning when Mom fed them, Whitey starting sniffing around, Orangie too. Then Mom said they both started rubbing their faces all over everything. We think this is a good sign. Afterwards, they both ate as usual and Whitey sat by Mom’s feet, taking her after-meal bath. Our dear furiend, Angel Q. Miss Millie had a good idea. She suggested Mom sit on the ground to be more at eye level with them. Whitey seemed to like this, but Orangie wasn’t too sure, so he kept his distance. Mom is going to keep doing this, hoping Orangie will eventually come around.

late morning vote as janet's come down with the sinus- allergy flu bug after nat brought the germ home a few weeks ago, had it himself a little and bam janet got it out of the blue on wednesday and now master is getting it and he's gonna be worse than ever once he's got it as he's a baby now, but will be even more demanding with it! nobody will give into him either and he'll have to do a few of the things for a change of pace. janet's already walked pepper around the big block, then did 2 large loads of wash and outback on lines to dry and has things to plant in the garden still and cover up with netting so birds won't get at them. then since sick time is just about used up for this year, she'll be working through it like she's done before when she's had it. sandy,ana,haley,angels

Tee hee not an ugly game at all, Jakar, our teams are evenly matched and each game could go either way. Mom saw your boy block a powerful slapshot and save the day for a while. Wow, amazing and brave; what a hero. It made mom glad her boys didn't play hockey, he could have been really hurt and I bet he was black and blue. Well, it won't show on you, will it? MOL

We've been having beautiful weather; mom got out and mowed last night and was transplanting astilbe the night before, and fertilizing some of her bushes and trees. She likes doing that kind of stuff.

Hope I see you tonight; mom is hoping to get me there but she has no earthly idea of brother's plans, sometimes mom doesn't have control of her time.

♥ WOW!!!! What a MONTH of Adoptiversaries for our family, but luckily, That's All Folks!!!! Tehehehe!!!!

♥ I have been making sure I get lots of mom time everyday. I just love my mom so much!!!! I have been also sleeping by her feet the last week or so at bedtime which makes her real happy!!!!

♥ Mom went to PetSmart this morning to buy [2] 16 lb bags of Friskies Indoor; [3] 16 lb bags of Friskies Surfin Turfin; [1] 7 lb bag of Purina One Hairball; [1] 7 lb bag of Purina One Vibrant & Maturity & [1] 40 lb box of ExQuisiCat Litter. She got [2] FREE toys, too!!!!

♥ Well, mom is upset as my Feline Acne is coming back. She washes my face every morning after I eat my Fancy Feast can food and washes my food dishes alsmost every night before bed time.

♥ UPDATE: SASSEE 10605 seems to be doing better finally with not seemingly in so much pain like she had been due to her arthritis. Mom said the Dasuquin must be finally taking affect.

♥ UPDATE: SYLVESTER 11567 is no longer limping the last couple days. He will, however, will need to see Dr. Liz in a couple months for bloodwork to see how he is doing since his diagnosis of Early Kidney Failure in February.

♥ Mom and dad are set up for another yard sale starting Friday morning and ends on Saturday evening at 5:00pm so we may not get to visit everyone, but we will try!!!! Mom also changed my profile photo today.

Oh boy! It's so exciting to hear that the TIMS took over the Rangers and will stay in the playoffs. We can work up a furriendly rivalry, what say you? Is it too late to wager on this game? Tee hee we can wager a microbrewsky. Mom saw the 1st period and she says she wouldn't bet any money on the Bruins, but it's scoreless so could go either way. Wonder when the Commish will redo the roster, I would like to know which guy is your player. I need to keep an eye on him. MOL My guy is #19, Tyler Seguin of the Bruins, same young man serving me a Dunkin' in my gallery.

The saga of our outside kitties continues… My Mom lifted the top half of the cat carrier onto several old newspaper crates and set it beside the bottom half of the carrier. Whitey & Orangie were curious this morning when they saw it, but not afraid. They both sniffed around it and then went back to the business of eating. Mom plans to slowly slide the top half of the carrier onto the bottom half. This was a great idea from our dear furiend Mischief!

P.S. You know, the outside kitties didn't seem to react to our scent on the carrier. I think they were too busy wondering what the top half of the carrier was doing raised up on boxes. My Mom is going to let my sis and I check it out again today. I don't think I'll be able to sneak a quick spray, because Mom will be watching! MOL!

How are you today.77 here for us right now,sure had to find some shade to sit in out today.Me,Missy,mom went out for a few minutes,Missy lay in the shade for a few minutes then she wantd to come back in,she did not like that hot air.I got to explore in the shady places,mom said to hot to get out in the open sun,so I explored under mousey bushes,Oreo was hid under there and we got into a wacking contest,mom said boys stop that,ahhh mom he is under my mousey bush,then Oreo wacked me twice right on my little head,and ran fast as he could!Mom laughed at the look on my face,I did not think that was so funny mom,he hurt my furry head,hehe!I wil get him when he is not looking!There are ugly looking fuzzy worms crawling all over the yard and the side of the house,they hatched out of huge cocoons in the wild cherry trees,they were getting on mom and crawling on her clothes,she sure was knocking those things off,I will not even look at those ugly worms,mom said they must have a funny smell or something,the outside kittys will not even get around them,mom said she would be glad when they are gone,don't know if they turn into a moth or what.Then it got to hot and we had to come in,mom got to hot,she is still pretty queasy with her tummy and cannot eat much at all yet, mostly just jello for now. We came in no running through the house,to hot for that today,I did not even go rest with mom,I stayed in the open windows,then all of a sudden I went racing through the house jumping way up in the air,a huge fly had gotten in the house,I sure was running after him,mom was getting outta my way,she said hurry Spongie get that ole fly,well I got him and chomped him down,he was tastey,hehe!Now I'm laying on the cool wood floor with the breeze blowing on me outta the windows,Baby,Wicket watching those ole ugly worms crawl on the outside window seal,Missy,Cindell napping,pawhugs,Spongie,Gang,Angels.

This morning after my Mom finished feeding and playing with the outside kitties, Mom let Callie and I in the garage (with the door shut of course) to sniff the cat carrier where Whitey & Orangie eat. We both ran to give it the once over. I even stepped inside the bottom half where they eat. Mom laughed while we sniffed and rubbed our faces everywhere. I thought about spraying the carrier, but Mom saw me and shouted OH NO! She’s no fun. Doesn’t she know that’s a sign of kitty love?! MOL! Mom is going to let us do this every day and see if the outside kitties notice and react. Baby steps …

Purrs from Patches & NICE Crew
I'm sorry I missed pouncing by to visit you yesterday sweet kitties. Mom has been busy getting things ready for human bro's 13th BD today so didn't get to CC or DC at all. Bad mom...MOL! Anyway, she's almost done with the only thing left to do being frost the cake & add sprinkles & candles. Tonight is also sis' final school band concert so things have been hopping around here. The end of school is always one of mom's busiest times & dad is generally exhausted when he comes home because the teachers, principal, etc. are wanting end of the year stuff taken care of. Pretty soon it will all be over & then the calmer days of summer break will be upon us, followed by big sis' wedding the first day of August. Mom says this year has flown since she's been so busy but I have to tell you that I think it's kept her out of mischief...MOL!

Well got to run so mom can run the sweeper monster & relax a few minutes before she thinks of something else to do, such as weeding the flowers again before it rains.

allergies
caused by certain trees such as oak, poplar, birch, then a few others and grasses which are just starting to come in pine, and inside stuff like pet dander, dust and mold which the first two is in the house year round. got boomers moving in later this afternoon/tonight with a warm front 75 here today and 80 and more humid and warmer tomorrow as well as nicer than it's been lately to cool. had a frost/freeze when weather people said NOT going to get one and we missed it yesterday and got it today, dummies all of them including reliable twc! sandy, ana, haley, angels

That is so sweet that Charlie's g/f sent mom the flowers, she must be a very special lady and a keeper, I can tell! That is super that mom and Charlie are so close and that mom is close to Dad's family too!

I'm going to try to make it to the rink tonight; mom likes to be outside in the evenings but the playoffs are so exciting! Don't want to miss them.

Hi Jakar!
My Mom still hasn’t worked up the nerve to put the top back on the cat carrier. Orangie is getting so brave with letting Mom pet him and scratch behind his ears. Mom doesn’t want any setbacks just yet. We got a smart tip from our furiend, Sir Malachi, to toss a couple of catnip toys into the carrier. It really got Orangie’s attention. He even batted the catnip stuffed mouse around a couple of times! They both eat their food while standing in the carrier without a problem. This is amazing progress.

Beautiful flowers! Did mom get those for Mother's Day? They are quite lovely. Mom did have a nice day but it was a lot of driving and she was pretty tired when the family got back. It was a couple of hours each way and they didn't spend the night. Would have been too much company for Grandma, one of Dad's sisters and her family spent the night. She was feeling the love. Dad and sis took mom for an early Mother's Day dinner Friday night and they did some house cleaning Friday afternoon as a Mother's Day present. Mom LOVED that!

Thanks for the compliment on my frame! Mom loves purple with my black fur, too, and she loved the yellow and purple tulips.

the pine doesn't affect her, but this year it is as well as some grasses which are in a bit earlier and then having sinus and allergies year round and nothing will work for her to take! due to hbp not a lot can be done, but there are things out there, but the cost is high and insurance won't cover it! oh well, life goes on! sports day is tomorrow and will be 75! warming up again. sandy,ana, haley, angels

♥ This year, we would like to do something different with our 10th Year Adoptiversaries by introducing a SPECIAL kitty to you! While mom and dad was cleaning and going thru everything in the back room, mom came across a picture that she couldn’t find for a long time and thought it was gone forever. This picture is of a precious tiny kitten and will remain in mom’s heart♥. This tiny kitten’s name was PRINCESS KNIGHT and she was mine, Suezee’s & Rhoamin’s littermate sister.

♥ When we were just tiny kittens, running wild & free under our fur mama Baby’s 13286 care when PRINCESS found a way to our neighbors’ yard [mid July 2003] who has a Yellow Lab. That Lab was let out in their back yard and he seen PRINCESS. Mom & dad heard the little screams of pain & came running out in the back yard. The neighbor got a hold of their dog and dad went over the fence to get PRINCESS, but it was too late for her as dad handed her to mom. Mom was in such tears. PRINCESS was only 10 weeks young when she was killed. To this day, that dog is still next door to us so mom always worries us outside kitties.

♥ Yes, for our 10th year Adoptiversaries, we are HONORING our sister PRINCESS on this day & we wanted to share it with you also our HONORARY Profile Photo for you to see!

Hello Jakar
Thank you for your kind words, prayers & sweet thoughts. Like many of you, Mommy knows all too well about kidney disease. Her Dot passed away at the age of 17 from kidney disease & hyperthyroidism in October 2000. Mommy had hoped it would be a very long time before she was faced with this awful disease again. She will do her very best to give me the greatest care possible & lots of TLC.

I am eating the k/d canned and dry foods pretty well so far. Mommy says it is extremely difficult having one baby on a special diet. But we are doing our best with this situation & taking it one day at a time.

Thanks again for your prayers & concern. We really do appreciate it. Job 12:10 says “In God’s hands is the life of every creature.” We believe this to be true.

Hi Jakar, Hedley, Neelix!
Today is housecleaning day and we already saw Mom getting the mean ole vacuum cleaner out of the closet! Time to head for our safe spots in the backyard. The temperature was 90 degrees yesterday, so hopefully Mom finishes quickly so we can come back inside without all the housecleaning noise!

The outside kitties were fine this morning. A small, baby raccoon was eating from the dry food bowls, but Whitey & Orangie didn’t seem scared of him. They both came out of their Igloo when Mom opened the garage door and the raccoon went scurrying off. My Mom doesn’t like to chase baby raccoons away, but knows they could hurt the cats. :(

We hope you had a wonderful Mother’s Day with your family yesterday!

♥ Well, mom told Callie 239447 that she met her match!!!! Saturday morning mom just happened to look over at the end of the couch to see Sassee 10605 sitting on it, which mom thought was awfully strange cuz she never gets on that end table then she seen Callie hunkered down under the top shelf of the end table. Mom told Sassee to leave her alone then mom had to pry Callie out from under that shelf part!!!! That's the first time Callie's been scared. Mom told Callie not to mess with Sassee especially when Sassee's in pain!!!! Sassee is the ALPHA girl inside!!!! No one was hurt!!!!

♥ Mom opened dad's window after she finished her kitty chores so we could go out in the cattery. Funny thing is though, she had it boarded up with plywood as it's suppose to rain today and she didn't want everything getting wet. At least we got the fresh air as well as relaxing out there!!!!

♥ Mom and dad didn't do much xcept relaxed and watched a couple movies on tv then some recorded shows on the DVR.

♥ Mom took the first cuttings of two roses today from her rose bushes. One is of her Angel Face which has a beautiful fragrance and the other is Jacobs Coat.

♥ We will be sharing a SPECIAL message come Monday evening!!!!

Hi Jakar!
Happy Mother's Day to all the mom-types in your family! I hope you're all doing something special for mom today. We've all decided to just lay low, stay out of her hair, and let her relax. Are we thoughtful or what! :)

We've been having some hellacious weather the past week! It's been in the 90's every day, and dry! But last night some clouds moved over, like a blanket, so it stayed nice and warm all night - 66 - and got wonderfully humid. But no rain! Oh, this is the worst kind of weather! Just hot, humid, and stagnant. The forecast keeps saying we'll get some rain. Well, ANY TIME NOW would be really good! Mom has pretty much just barricaded herself in the house, except for really early in the morning, when she goes out and does her watering. Anybody have some rain they can spare? :)
