How We Met
My grandma owns my furdad Champagne De Lancer. My furmom Sparkle Frost was given up for adoption! No longer have my furmom. But fear not I along with my sister Baby Frost have had a second mother since the time we were both born. Storm Waters was pregnant and gave birth a few days before we were born. Unfortunately she miscarried. Lucky for us because she was still producing milk. Our furmom let her nurse a few of us and she also let her clean us and take care of us like we were her own. Sparkle Frost never minded that. We all were very glad to have Storm Waters. Even now Storm Waters still cleans us and lets us play with her even if we play rough. I am named after Storm Waters. Grandma says I could pass as one of her kittens. I am very proud to have the name Storm. The Frost part of both my name and my sisters name comes from our furmom Sparkle Frost. We are both very proud to carry on her name of Frost.

stopping by with a

after....

~Queen Trixie's Tales~April 11th
~It’s a shout-out for ERNIE #200361 so please pounce on his votey button today!~
It was a dark & stormy night in my neck of the woods & we lost power in the middle of the night & when we woke up our clocks were all flashing so we were lost in time..MOL! Since it’s so muddy & water is standing everywhere I’ve decided to take a road trip to see the LAPORTE COUNTY HISTORICAL MUSEUM! (http://www.laportecountyhistory.org) It has over 100,000 items on display. Many are family heirlooms brought into the county by the original pioneers. They include furniture, household items, tools, memorabilia, antique toys, rare dolls is on display as well as one of the largest and finest collections of antique weapons. Many products manufactured in the county by local industries are also displayed. Period room settings showcase much of the museum collection. A pioneer log cabin, Victorian parlor with a unique square grand piano, 1920's kitchen, a business office and a dentist office of the past typify this aspect of the museum displays. See the pics in my gallery to catch a glimpse of what we’ll see today but let’s get on board the Calico Express Tour bus & as we motor down the road I’ll meow to you about one of our special CC furiends!
SNUGGLES’s #124534 mom is really proud & has learned to trust her magnificent hearing, especially since mom is somewhat hearing impaired. One cold winter night the neighbors lit their wood stoves to keep warm while mom had gone to her bunk bed. Snuggles smelled the smoke & thought something must be wrong so she knew she had to wake her mom up. She tried several time to wake her by putting her nose on hers but she kept pushing her away. Finally she jumped onto the top bunk & jumped down on mom several times until finally the pouncing & nose nudges of Snuggles woke mom up. She smelled the smoke & put Snuggles in a pillow case(she was the only cat at the time), woke up GM & called the fire department. When they came to check it out assumed it was that the smoke from nearby being been drawn in by their heat pump, making Snuggles think the house was in trouble. The fireman said that Snuggles was a true hero for waking up her family! Another time Snuggles also alerted her mom when a neighbor came to the door, which mom didn’t hear. Sweet Snuggles thought he meant trouble and started growling and even pointed like a dog toward the kitchen. This heroic & brave kitty got lots of treats for her actions to protect her mommy & she was very deserving of them! Today I ask her to step to the front of the bus to please accept the award of the Calico Medal of Defense for her exceptional determination to protect her beloved mom more than once.
Thanks for pouncing by my unique royal residence this month sweet furiends! Have a terrific Thursday & I’ll see you bright & early on Caturday morning as I head you off to another animal related trip!

now that's

Happy Monday sweet furiends! There nothing like getting a late start on the day, & that’s exactly what I meowed at mom when she was checking her e-mail instead of getting my important campaign work accomplished…MOL! Thank you for the votes you pawed my way yesterday! Each one is treated like a national treasure in my memory archives & is deeply appreciated!Okay sweet kitties…I’ve told you about some of the world’s smallest animals so I think it’s only fair to devote some time to a few of the world’s largest ones. We’ll start off with a common critter that many of you have in your own homes…although probably not as big as this one…MOL!
WORLD’S BIGGEST DOG- Over the past two odd decades there have been many dogs which have been featured in the Guinness book of world records for their extremities. Leading the list of such hounds is HERCULES, an English Mastiff, which was inducted in the Guinness book of world records back in 2001 for being the world’s biggest dog, weighing 294 lbs. and having a 39 inch broad neck. Hercules was three years of age, and has paws that are the size of a softball! He may be huge, but is very well-behaved. As a puppy Hercules was large, but his owner didn’t think that he would go on to become the world’s biggest dog. As far as diet is concerned, his owner maintains categorically that he has never served Hercules with anything extraordinary and that Hercules’ size is totally natural. They have fed him what they would have otherwise fed any normal dog. Hercules is a dog that enjoys the limelight too! It was in 2001, when Hercules was declared as being the world’s biggest dog that his owner came to know about the limelight-loving nature of this pooch. Hercules would go wagging to the interviewers and in front of the cameras, which made him a lovable animal to everyone he met. He was featured on many news and daily shows, and was even featured in a few commercial ads. Whatever it was, the world’s biggest dog was willing to try out new things, much to the surprise and approval of its owners. Later on, due to his loving nature, the world largest dog was doing shows and was booked for various birthday parties. He was also allowed to meet and get photos shot with children who came to see him from around the world. Hercules, in true sense, stands as a testimony to the phrase “the gentle giant”!
WOW…I’m SO glad that our family dog Sammie didn’t want to achieve a world record as one of the biggest dogs. I feel small compared to her as it is so can only imagine looking up to one the size of a Shetland pony…MOL! Tomorrow we’ll be heading to to see another world record holder but this one lives on a farm so wear your jeans & mud boots! Thank you so much for your loving votes of support for my campaign.
