Handsome Zeus was rescued from a kill shelter by a rescue group and is now living with his foster mom until a furever home is found for him, though by her admission, that may change. This sweete little boy is proving to be a handful by getting into all the places he doesn't belong. Hehehe! He loves playing with wand toys and catnip mice. You can find him hanging out on the top of the coffee maker, in the sink, the top of the computer or on the stove. Now we see where he gets his rep for being in all the wrong places! Gracie #230155 is a beautiful 5 year old Persian that was with her former family for only 8 months. Sadly Gracie was displaced when her owner brought a new puppy home & her husband didn’t want to keep both Gracie & the puppy. There is a happy ending to Gracie’s story though, because her forever family was quick to take her in and she now has her own special place in their loving home! Mom tells us that Gracie had two litters of beautiful kittens and was a wonderful mother. Gracie #230155 is loving, has many interests and is very talented! She is very deft of paw and can swipe food from your plate if you look away! Gracie is a cheese lover, and also enjoys cheesy treats! One of Gracie’s favorite things to do is play fetch with foam ear plugs! She also enjoys being outside when the weather is good, and can hop over the fence to get out to the front yard! Hello, Savannah!
Happy Saturday! I am very sorry about not blogging much yesterday, things came up, but everything's alright now.
Today the temps are 37° with a 70% chance of rain. Mother is really hoping for snow soon, we've hardly had any this season, and after all, we are in Maine - shouldn't we have some by now?? I don't go outside so I can't really say my thoughts on snow. However it is fun to sit perched on my windowsill and watch snowflakes slowly drift to the ground.

I smell a photoshoot coming up, so keep an eye on my photo gallery. I am Mother's perfect photo subject. I sit still and look at the camera when Mother clicks her tongue or calls my name. I really am a good boy. Mother tries to deny it at times, and I admit I do try to bite her or slap her occasionally, but I am a good boy. Truly I am!

I really do like the new CC, Savannah! Mother's quite annoyed that DC isn't as good as CC, but I think that the dogs deserve it! MOL! By the way, I love your photos. You are too cute (:

Greetings!!! I missed you all…did you miss me??? Don’t answer that. I need to thank Q.Cherish for the buttered toast experiment. That was totally her brainchild. Result: inconclusive. We ate all the bread and butter too fast! I’ve decided to clue you all in on SOME of what I have planned. I would rather prepare you now so you can pack appropriately. Dress warm and get ready to walk. There! Now you all know what to expect. HAHAHAHA!! Kidding. We are going to travel in style. You’ll be gently rocked to sleep nightly, and have access to anything you want to eat anytime day or night. No, not THAT kind of rocked to sleep. We are going to tour Ohio by railroad! I figure we can give all the pilots a break, and let them all enjoy the trips. Yep. The Steveland Express will take us from destination to destination. I have a little deal with the conductor also, so we can all take turns whistling at the crossings. Just stick your head out the window and pucker up and let ‘er rip. No, correction. You get to pull the lever, and the TRAIN whistles. We will all have plush and spacious sleeping compartments, there is a domed dinner car so you can see the sights whizzing past you, make you all kinds of dizzy, and, of course, the passenger cars.

We will be doing a fair amount of walking. For those kitties with handicaps, we will have assistive services available. Don’t forget your cameras!!! You never know just when you can catch that embarrassing moment furever on film. Any questions?? Anyone?? OK! Next Tuesday we will start our adventure at…

Good morning!!! What better way to start the day than what is in store for us today!!!! My furiend Cherish, awhile ago was game to try the cat and buttered toast experiment. So, as we’re e all rather hungry and willing to eat the evidence of this experiment, I invited Cherish to the castle to perform said experiment. Please gather around and be prepared for what Cherish has in store for us. I now turn the floor over to Cherish!
Hello everyone! I nearly forgot...… we haven’t tested the cat/buttered toast question yet. Let’s get together and make this happen. A number of you indicated you have butter stashed away for this experiment … okay, let’s call it what it really is … a Play Day! Bread is in the freezer and can be defrosted with little notice. The toasters have been checked by an electrician and are in good working order. Just bring a loaf of bread, a stick of butter, and your sense of adventure.
For those who are not in the know, or who have forgotten just what all this is about, we are testing two theories against one another. The first is that a cat always lands on its feet. DUH! The second is that a piece of buttered toast will always land buttered side down. BUT what if we strap a piece of buttered toast, butter side up, to a cat’s back, then drop the cat. Which side will land right side up, which side will hit the carpet?
Additional “tests” that will be purrformed are how far can a buttered cat slide on plastic sheeting, and how long will it take to lick all the butter off our coats when we have sufficiently tested various theories? And how big will the resulting hairball be? I’m thinking we’ll be making the record books with this one.
King Steve has graciously offered us the use of the castle for this history-making trial. There will be a few rules. NO butter on castle flooring or furnishings. NO strapping two cats back-to-back. NO catsip wine imbibing prior to any testing.”

Well…today is national roof over your head day, so let’s all take a moment to give thanks for our furever homes. Now, as I said yesterday, we’re gonna be a traveling. Time to pack up the pawty plane and get underway. I had the chefs package boxed lunches for everyone with tuna sammies,chicken salad sammies,chips and the wonderful cookies we made yesterday. Where I’m I taking you, you may ask?? I would ask that also before I got on any plane with me! Today we’re going less than 20 minutes from my home to Alliance, Ohio. Means nothing to you, I’m sure. Let me tell you what is located in Alliance-the Cat Fancier’s Assossiation museum (CFA) !! Yep, got to love a whole museum dedicated to cats. It is referred to as the Feline Historical museum. Hop aboard the planes and off we go!

The Cat Fanciers Association has collected cat artifacts and memorabilia for over 20 years, and showcase the collection in the museum along with over 1500 cat books. It has breed related information, cat art work (not drawn by cats-darn it), and cat show memorabilia. It was built to acquire and conserve the history of cats. You’ll be amazed by the artwork exhibits, and paintings, some dating back to 1810. You’ll view sculptures and bronze figurines, cat jewelry and collectables.

Bring your cameras and get pictures with your furiends. I’m having a photographer get a group picture of us all in front of the museum. We can eat our lunch in the gardens of the museum, then pack it up and head back to the castle. Ok, single file boarding the plane please, watch the kits don’t pick the dried gum off the bottom of the seats, and we’re on our way!!! Anyone know annoying songs that will drive everyone crazy?? Cool! We’re on our way!

Good!!! The dog is staring at you to keep you in line :) You need it. Miss little laughing at my tights! I got a snag in the one from my claws...any suggetions ??

Howdy!!! Are you all nice and rested up?? Good!!! Day two at the castle and I’m still lost. SO many hallways!!! I’ll need a GPS unit to find the litter box. Thank goodness for the outside bushes for “emergencies”. Was everyone comfy?? Sleep well?? You know, winter is upon us so if you need extra blankies, just give a yowl.

Today for national cookie cutter week, we all can chip in and make cutout cookies. As always, please be sure to use paw sanitizer first. Make and decorate how many you want to take home to furiends or family, or to simply gobble them all up yourself.
Do you know the history of the cookie cutter?? Well, you will! Its just one of those facts you HAD to know. Dazzle your pawrents with your wealth of info. Ready to take notes??? I have orange crayons and paper for those who need it.

The first cookie cutters were used in Egyptian times. They were ceramic or wooden molds used to make biscuits or bread. Quickly forward to the 16th century and the Queen of England I was famous for making the first gingerbread men. She had them decorated to resemble her guests. The popularity of the gingerbread man increased, forcing the bakers to create molds to expedite the process of cutting them out. By this time, cookie cutters were made out of tin. As Europeans migrated to the United States, so did the cookie cutter. That make you hungry?? I am!! Get full; get ready, because tomorrow we’re taking a little tour. Dress warm!!! Greetings from Steveland!
*Yawn* what a fun night we all had last night!! I thank you all for attending, and staying for the after pawty. This is scary…King Steve. It’s going to take me awhile to get used to walking in all these fancy cloths, no laughing now. Especially the tights. For the longest time I joked with former Kings about their tights, and here I am!! Let me tell you, wasn’t easy to find them in my size either. If you look real close…no, not that close…you’ll see the magic of suspenders. Not only that, they did have to purchase them from the infant girls section of the store to get them to fit me. There will be NO making fun of the ruffles on the behind area. I’ll just walk backwards so you can’t see that.

Where was all this leading to??? Heck if I can remember. Oh yes…this month at the castle. First of all, feel free to stay as long as you like, wherever you want. I’m down with it all and pretty easy to get along with. Actually, it’s pretty lonely if no-one else is around, so this month will be one big pajama pawty! I’m going to plan some trips of areas in Ohio. Don’t groan, believe it or not, there are some sights to see. The Ohio license plate says “The Heart of it All”. Not sure what they mean by all, but we’ll find out.

For today we’ll all just relax and enjoy some spa time and eat til we’re silly. I had a special meal planned for today. One of my fav’s and I hope you all enjoy the make your own pizza bar and dessert go round. It’s a revolving dessert display-pick whatever, and how ever much you want! Its kind of fun to jump up and ride in a circle for awhile. Don’t forget to paw sanitize first!!!

Morning !!
Well…this is the last day of the month. The last day of my campaign, and I appreciate your support, time, and patience with me. I have met many, many new and wonderful furiends, and have gotten even closer to old furiends. I hope I completed my mission which was for each and every one of you to reach out and meet someone new and enjoy the great CC community we have. So, who will be the last set of sidekicks for today?? I’ll reach into my Steve bag of tricks,(it’s a big bag, and there are candy wrappers in here too) and I pulled out Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. Got to love the Westerns, the heart of all good movies. And, I just LOVE little spurs that jingle jangle! Yoo-hoooo!!!! Cherish! This is for you!!!!!

Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid is a 1969 film with Paul Newman playing Butch Cassidy, and Robert Redford playing the Sundance Kid. The film tells the story of two Wild West outlaws as they migrate to Bolivia to outrun the law, and search for a more successful outlaw career.

Butch Cassidy is the clever and talkative leader of the Hole in the Wall Gang. Sundance Kid is his closest companion, and deadly shot. They attempt and succeed at several robberies and elude the law by several clever escapes. They then escape to Bolivia as they view it as a bank robber’s paradise. They soon learn that plan is not a good one, as neither speaks Spanish.

Butch suggests “going straight” and getting a job, but after getting the job, learn going straight is not for them either. They plan a bankroll heist, and at the end, both are seriously wounded, but go down together.

Morning !!!
Say what???? It’s the 29th of November?? How did that happen so quickly! There was a lot that has happened this month, and hopefully, more good things to come. We will be welcoming a new COTM candidate Friday at noon. Want to know who it is??? Me too!!!
Hmmm…..wonder what I want to throw out there today. You know, you have all been SO sweet and tolerated me so far, I’ll take it easy on you today. You won’t even have to gag down any dry Pop Tarts today! I’ll throw out the comic of Mutts! I had a request for this from Shelby and family who has their own Moochie a as a furbling-this ones for you all!
Mutts is a daily comic strip created in 1994. (Pay close attention…I’m NOT stuck in the 60’s and 70’s!!!) . It follows the adventures of a dog, Earl, and his sidekick furiend cat, Mooch. The friendship of Mooch and his neighbor Earl focuses on the differences between cats and dogs as pets and friends: Earl is friendly, loves the company of his human companion and likes to play outside; Mooch is often indifferent to his human companions, except for being fed, and prefers to stay inside and play by himself. Both animals frequently express themselves through thought balloons when their owners are present.
Earl is a Jack Russell who lives with Ozzie, his human companion who is a bachelor. They take walks and spend a lot of time together. Earl spends his free time with his furiend Mooch, a black and white house cat who lives next door with his humans Millie and Frank, and a pet fish Sid. See…here we are again with the cat and dog furiends!! There must be something there I’m missing. Once again-luv one another!!!

Look how cute your new pic is!!! Love the ones with the doggie too-what kind of dog is that??

I’m back! I brought you all something special today-Pop Tarts and juice boxes. Hey, it’s the only breakfast I can make and not ruin. And why a breakfast food you may ask? Because I’m going to bring up a cartoon sidekick today. Everyone knows cartoons and Pop tarts just go together. And what cartoon would that be??? Tweety and Sylvester.
Sylvester, the cat was created in 1945. He was originally designed to resemble a clown, thus his big red nose. Sylvester was later paired with Tweety bird in 1947. Sylvester was portrayed as a jealous house cat attempting to eat Tweety. Tweety’s owner was an elderly woman, Granny, and her bulldog bodyguard was Hector. Together, Tweety and Sylvester did try to solve some mysteries, but all the while, Sylvester still attempted to eat Tweety. The pair does team up from time to time also to defend Granny whenever she becomes threatened.
Hmm…all this talk about birds is making me hungry. Maybe I should have brought chicken instead of Pop Tarts!

Hi Savannah,
It's Bart,and I have a funny story to tell you today! It is about a stray cat that came up sometime last year and would not go away! Well,Dad said "No more cats",so one morning he loaded him in a cat carrier,and on his way to work,dumped him ou somewhere! Now this was carried out with much protesting from a furious mom,as she thinks this is a horrible thing to do to poor homeless kitties! Mom was sad all day at work,thinking of how scared the cat must be and that it might starve. When she got home,dad told her he hit a deer while 'dumping' the cat. Lots of damage to the truck,but not to dad. Mom laughed and said it served him right! And the next morning? ~THE CAT CAME BACK!~Mom promptly took it to be fixed,so all total,this kitty coast Dad roughly three hundred dollars,MOL! BTW,dad now loves this kitty and has learned his lesson about 'dumping' cats! Now the fun part.....can you guess which one of the Peach State Cats Thai is? ~Happy guessing! purrs,Bart

89 ~*~ UNXPECTED VET TRIP ~*~
EUGENE, OREGON WEATHER REPORT:
The temperature was high 52 & low was 50 this morning, now it's 50 with humidity 96% & wind is 3 MPH NNE. Sunday's suppose to be Partly Cloudy & High 48.

♥ Well, mom got a bit more sleep last night! She played with Kittzi 160203 & Sylvr Tuff 160205 in their room first with the peacock feather, then she came to play with Whyskrs 10378, Jazpyr 10428 and Sassee 10605. I watched from my comfy bed on the couch!!!! Mom was hoping to tire Whyskrs out, but he wasn't really into moving fast nor chasing!!!! Tehehehe!!!!

♥ Mom called The Veterinary Hospital this morning to see about getting me in to see Dr. Liz, but she wasn't to be in til Monday so mom got me in to see Dr. Jessie Williams instead. Mom loaded me up in a top loading carrier, threw a towel over it so I couldn't see and put me in the car then buckled me in for safety then I MEOWED all the way there!!!! She took me there at 11:00 this morning to get a Convenia (antibiotic) and a Depo-Medrol injections for my Feline Acne. Dr. Jessie said the inside of my mouth looked really good!!!!
Mom was surprised at how much I weighed though at 16.6 pounds!!!! She was not happy as just in April 2012 I weighed 18.2. Mom is now worried as to why I have lost almost 2 pounds in 7 months!!!!

Morning Kitten :)
Happy day to you all!!! Thank you for your support. Today is near, and dear to my heart. I’m sure I’ll get all my fellow orangies out there to agree with me. I bring to you…drum roll please… Garfield and Odie!
Garfield is a fuzzy orange tabby cat born in the kitchen of an Italian restaurant. He immediately ate all the pizza and lasagna in sight, thus developing his love of these foods. He first appeared in the comic strips in 1978. He hates any type of work or exertion; he is pessimistic, cynical, sarcastic and obnoxious. He loves to torment his sidekick Odie, a large yellow, drooling dog. Odie is naive, happy, affectionate and unaware of Garfields less than happy nature. Odie is actually smarter than he acts, and uses this front to gain advantage over Garfield. Garfield does show care and concern for Odie at times, and realizes how sad and boring his life would be without him.
Huh…sounds like my dogs. Can’t live with them, can’t live without them!

Little Savannah!
Greetings!! As always, I just love to hear from you all every day! I appreciate all your support, and your visits. I can’t believe how quickly the month has gone. I’m still all fat and happy from Thanksgiving turkey..how about you?? So sorry to post only on CMR yesterday. Gma had 3 turkeys to cook, and 30 family members coming over. And where we’re we???? No, not at the table eating (should have been) we were all hiding in the basement. Today I’m looking at the sweet furiendship of Gumby and Pokey .

Gumby and Pokey are Claymation figures who we’re designed by Art Clokey. Gumby’s name came from what farmers used to call the dirt roads during rainy season. It was a mixture of dirt with a lot of clay mixed in, and they referred to it as road gumbo. Gumby has his feet on the ground, but his head in the clouds. He focuses on what is good and right, so everything works out in the end, whether it is a triumph, or just a lesson learned.
Gumby’s best pal is a pony named Pokey. Pokey is down to earth and skeptical. The two of them save each other regularly just by being opposites and evening each other out. We all have furiends like that now, don’t we!

RAINBOW SCOOP for 11/23/2012 from the cloud of the Angel Sherman...ANGEL TUXIE #192399 was freezing with frost covering his tiny body when he was rescued by his daddy one early November morning & as they say-the rest is history. He lived a very happy life until he crossed the Bridge on June 9th, 2012 peacefully in his home. This precious angel isn’t a very active blogger here but many of you already know some of his other fursibs. Morning !!
Greetings furiends!!! I’m going to detour off the catpaign trail today of side kicks, and I’m going to tell you a little story that many have been asking about. Its Thanksgiving tomorrow, so what the heck, a little feel good story is in order. Many have asked about the picture of the little kit recently posted on my page in my picture section. I would like to introduce you all to Melvin. Say “Hi” to all the kitties Melvin!

Melvin is a very special kitty that recently appeared in our lives. Gma’s son (my Uncle) was driving his delivery truck at work the other week. He saw something up ahead on the highway, which he thought was a rag laying in the road. When he got closer, he saw it was a kitten lying on the double yellow lines. Mind you, this is a VERY busy road. He pulled his truck over and got out to investigate. When he got to the kitten (and almost got hit himself) he saw it was alive. The kitten’s eyes were matted totally shut, it was wet and mewing. He took it into the truck with him, wrapped it in his coat and sweatshirt and put him in a box until work was over. He then took the kitten to our veterinarian. She did an exam and found him to be hypothermic, dehydrated, malnourished, upper respiratory infection and diarrhea. She gave him IV hydration, warmed him up and kept him the night. The vet said he was critical, and would not have made it another night outside. Melvin is now living with my Uncle and his wife. He is on antibiotics, probiotics, and eye ointment and still goes in to the vet to be checked and SQ hydration every other day. As a note, the veterinarian has written off the cost of all his care and all his medications. Melvin is 8 weeks old, and only weighs 1.3 pounds.

As of this Sunday, Melvin is a happy and energetic kit. He stays in the bathroom for now until his diarrhea clears. He runs, pounces, jumps and has an appetite like no other. He is improving daily. This poor little guy has been given another chance at life, and I just know he is one grateful kitty.

I will only be posting my blog on CMR tomorrow for the obvious reason, its Thanksgiving. I hope you all enjoy your day whether it is with family, furiends, eating turkey or going to Taco Bell-who cares!! It’s a day of reflecting on what we are thankful for in our lives. My Gma and I are most grateful for all our furiends we have met on CC. We are all different breeds, colors, different back grounds and fur types, and we STILL are one big supportive, happy CC family. Thank you all for allowing me to share this story with you! I hope you all have a wonderful holiday.

Morning!!
Did you all feel nice and mellow and comforted by the mac and cheese yesterday?? Purrfect! Thank you all so much for your support, it is very comforting to know there are SO many wonderful kitties on CC that stand behind each other. I’m changing direction again and bringing you out of the mellow zone. This one is for you MerryBelle-today is about the band Lynyrd Skynyrd!!

In the summer of 1963, teenage friends formed a band known as The Noble Five. In 1968 they won the local Battle of the Bands, and opened for several big name bands. In 1970 they sought a new name. Several were considered before settling on the name Leonard Skinner in a mocking tribute to their high school physical education teacher who was notorious for his enforcing the schools no long hair policy. One of the band members had previously dropped out of school after being hassled about his long hair. The more distinctive spelling Lynyrd Skynyrd was adopted prior to the release of their first album. The band did develop a friendly relationship with Skinner later on and invited him to concerts, and even featured his picture in their 3rd album. Lynyrd Skynyrd sang southern rock, and was known for songs such as Free Bird, Sweet Home Alabama, and Simple Kind of man. In 1977 while on tour, their plane crashed when it ran out of fuel, and the pilot attempted an emergency landing. Six people we’re killed on impact. The group disbanded shortly afterwards, but have since reformed with 5 major members of the pre-crash band.

**** Today,PD Budd is showing his brotherly love and chatted to me about his furbling Gracie Twinkle Toes #196342. GTT (Gracie Twinkle Toes) has her “baby” she loves on too! If Gracie TT’s mom leaves the house, Gracie TT will drag her baby around for hours mewing for her mom to return. She has even been known to drag her baby thru the cat flap door if it is unlocked. Gracie TT’s mom will often find Gracie TT’s baby on the walkway, in the garden or in the drive way where poor little Gracie TT is sitting, mewing, and waiting for her mom to return. Thank you PD AND Gracie TT for sharing!!! ***

Morning Savannah!!
Hiya! Thank you, thank you all for your visits and support. I’ve met so many new furiends this month, and hope to continue to be furiends for a long time. I really appreciate all your encouragement through these past couple of weeks also. I’m going to turn it about a bit today and talk about mac and cheese. I know…odd sidekicks. Truth be known it’s a comfort food, and we all need a little, or a lot of comfort every now and again. Ooh…makes me think of sitting on the couch, being cozy warm, getting my belly scratched and kneading the blanket. Hmm??? What??? Oh yes….mac and cheese. Forgot for a minute there.

Macaroni has been reported as early as medieval times in the 14th century. It was once considered the dish of the upper class in the 18th century. Macaroni was considered the fashionable food in Paris at that time. Thomas Jefferson discovered macaroni at a dinner in Paris at that time, and in 1802 had it served in Monticello at a state dinner.
Since that time, Mac and cheese has become an American comfort food with many additions to the original recipe. Kraft fashioned a dry packaged dinner in 1937 boasted ready to eat and prepare in 9 minutes…which is still popular today! Got to love the ORANGE powdered stuff!!!! ***Sylver Tuff told me a heartwarming story about her fur mom-Kittzi #160203. Kittzi has been known to carry a toy in her mouth calling for Sylvr Tuff as she (Kittzi) still tries to provide for Sylver. When they used to live outside, and they would play with human mom Lillian with soft toys or a ball, Kittzi would run off with the toy in her mouth all the while meowing, hoping Sylvr would follow her. Now, how cute are they!!! Thank you Sylvr Tuff for sharing a story of your bond with you and furmom Kittzi!!***

Boomerang, #232041, is one lucky cat. He was found at a very young age by his family and has been in his loving forever home ever since and that was five years ago. Boomerang $232041 got his name because he would run away from people and then come back. Boomerang is a clever name for him and he also goes by Boomer and Boom Bam.

Boomerang #232041 has a very relaxed and peaceful life. He likes to wander around his fenced-in backyard and also likes to spend time laying under his big grass plant which is also outside. That sounds like a good place to hide and wait for some unsuspecting critter to come near. Boomerang likes cat treats and especially likes catnip. He doesn't like to have his picture taken or having to go to the vet but otherwise, Boomerang #232041 has a most relaxing and happy life and he is very content.

Hello! Back again to thank you for your support and for sharing my day with me. As always, you all have some wonderful experiences a you have shared and I thank you for it! I’m digging into the past again and bringing you two friends, sidekicks who worked together to protect their community. I’m talking about Barney Fife and Sherriff Andy Taylor from Mayberry R.F.D.
Barney Fife was the easy to rattle, cheerful and deluded deputy sheriff to Andy Taylor. He felt himself the expert on everything and anything. Andy knew Barney’s bravado was a cover up for all of Barney’s insecurities and low self confidence. Barney over reacts with panic fear and despair. Barney is often known for blabbing personal and police secrets. In spite of this, Barney is a caring soul and loved by both the town’s people and Andy.

***Busted! Q. Lola #131462 is a toy carrier too! And she told on herself! Lola carries her toys all over her apartment meowing loud. Her fav is a catnip ladybug called Lole.
She carries Lole everywhere, sleeps with her, and sometimes shares and puts her gently on her mom’s pillow at night while she is sleeping. Thanks Lola for sharing with us all! ***

Morning S!!
Greetings!!! Once again, thank you all for hanging in there with me, and for all your support and feedback. I’ve been known to rattle on and on endlessly. Today I’m going to the movie scene again (mainly because I’m stuck in the stinking seat here) ...Shrek and donkey!
Donkey is an annoying, talkative and sensitive friend of and ogre-Shrek. Donkey is happy-go-lucky, always looking at the bright side of situations, and always trying to smooth things over and work them out. Shrek is a loner, an ogre who prefers solitude. Donkey first meets Shrek in the woods after a magical spell is broken and he falls to the ground in Shrek’s part of the woods. Shrek is reluctant to even speak, or be with Donkey until the end of the movie. Things go roughly for the both of them in their quest to find Princess Fiona, and Shrek often refers to Donkey being “forced” on him, until Donkey proves his value and his friendship. Shrek once asked Donkey why he stayed around if he felt Shrek treated him so badly. Donkey’s response??? “Because that’s what friends do, they forgive each other!!!”

***Grab a tissue-Fluffers told me a story about Angel Sherman #35766. Angel Sherman had a pink bear he carried with him, and slept with every night. He kind of “borrowed it” from one of his big sis’s dolls. She would unborrow it, but he still managed to find it! His sweet mom gave it to him on the night before he crossed to the Rainbow Bridge. He grabbed it in his paws and cuddled it as he purred to his furever sleep. That bear is still kept in a special place as a memento of his life. Thank you Fluffers and family for sharing that touching moment. I TOLD you to grab a tissue! ***

~Friday purrs from Zaboo~
This is Zaboo reporting for blogging duty today so that Fluffers can go take a nap after romping & running with Trixie the entire morning.
We were very sad to read about the crossing of dear Gin Gin's daddy Vic & join the rest of the community in mourning their loss. While the angels sing about his arrival, we cry heartfelt tears for the loss of a great vet & cat lover that we've known since we arrived on CC. The world has lost a great person but the angels have gained a loving spirit that will continue to protect & serve those he loved the most. We're praying that the comforting hugs & outpouring of love will help mom Mary & Gin Gin get through this difficult time a little easier.

Mom got the dogs' pages caught up & cleaned up yesterday but ran out of time for us to do any visiting so I'm hoping to do that today. Our GM is still stable but her mental decline is worrisome for mom's brother. He lives in AZ so hasn't seen her for a long, long time but we can tell he's worried because he called mom twice yesterday for updates. Once again mom told him to drop a card in the mail instead of trying to call her because her mind wanders & she forgets almost immediately anymore, which is a drastic mental change from a month ago. The nurses are optimistic about her condition so that helps but we still take it a day at a time where she's concerned & don't make plans too far in advance anymore. Mom has canceled our Thanksgiving get together with our 2 big sisters for this year at our house, but dad's mom is having one so they'll be at that one. We'll be upset that no turkey is baking to make the house smell yummy but knowing mom she'll bring us home some goodies from GM/GP's feast so we won't go completely without. Well I've got to run because little Fluffers has decided NOT to take her nap & is trying really hard to get my attention. Just a reminder that we'll only do daily voting over the weekend but Fluffers should be back in action Monday or Tuesday. Have a great weekend!

Mom has been playing with me and Kittzi 160203 again with the Peacock feather. It's so much of fun! Mom then plays with the other inside kitties in the front room then when she comes in the hall with it, Kittzi and I are watching from our door. Mom sees us watching and plays with us by making the feather come under our door then she goes back to the others again! We all have the bestest fun!
Mom added pictures of us playing; also changed my profile picture!

Also. mom will lay down on the floor where we are to pet us two girls. I'll be in the mew comfy bed while Kittzi's in the carpet tunnel then mom will be down there with us and talking to us. She tells us both how much she loves us and proud she is of us for being such good feral kitties.

Morning little "S"
Greetings! Another day, another sidekick to explore. Before I get started, I want you all to get comfortable, have a seat and some popcorn. We’re going to the movies to talk about today’s subject. What could be more purrfect than to talk about the movie Top Gun! All you pilots out there ought to enjoy this one! Pete, Whiskers, Cherish, Thundie, Hot Rod..wouldn’t you all agree???

Top Gun is a 1986 action/drama film. It features many characters, but the main character is Pete “Maverick” Mitchell. Maverick is a young aviator aboard a Navy carrier, U.S.S. Enterprise. He and his partner, his radar intercept officer Nick “Goose” Bradshaw are given a chance to train at Fighter Weapons School. Maverick flies a F14A Tomcat, and flies it somewhat recklessly, pushing it to the limit. Goose, his wingman, is cautious and devoted to his family. The two officers are extremely close friends and effective partners.

Near the end of the movie, Maverick and Goose are on a chase to gain missile lock on their target. Maverick ends up in a spin out that he cannot recover from, forcing him and Goose to eject. Goose ejects into the aircraft canopy, breaking his neck and causing his death. Maverick realizes just how true a friend Goose was…unconditionally. And that, my furiends,is what it is all about-unconditional furiendship.
Lights up! Movie is over. Thanks for spending this time with me. Can anyone help me get out of this movie seat?? Anyone?? This thing accordion folds you up like a taco.

He swims round and round all day long, waving his little red and blue fins at Sabrina Anne as he passes. They play a game of stare down for a bit, and Sabrina Anne gently tries to paw the water to wave back, although she’s not real keen on the getting a wet paw part. Let’s give it up for Sabrina Anne and Mr. Fishy!!!! Thank you so much for sharing your cute story with us all. ***
