Thanks so much for coming to my pawty! What a wonderful birthday i'm having! lots of old furiends are here and some new ones too! i hope you are having as much fun as i am. make sure you get some of the cake mom made me . it's a pink cake with pink frosting and little pink candy hearts and pink candles and it's delicious! don't forget to get a ride on the pink carousel or have fun in the pink jumpy house or swim in the pink pool ;) gee, this is one of my "bestest" days ever! that was so sweet of you to bring the bouquet of treat filled balloons. look at all the kitties trying to out jump each other to pop them,MOL.

Recently a cat loving family had their red female cat, Angel Rhuby cross over the Rainbow Bridge. The cat mom of this family decided she would like to adopt another red female and as luck would have it, there was Rosie at the Petsmart Adoption Center. Rosie #252822 and her new mom bonded instantly and Rosie came to her new home that day. Rosie was at the shelter for over two months and was a bit wild. She didn't like being kept in a cage and would fight with the shelter workers when they tried to put her back in her cage. This was a big reason why Rosie #252822 wasn't adopted sooner; she was scared and the people looking at her were not patient with her until her new mom came along. Now at her new home Rosie #252822 is a cuddle cat with her daddy and loves to play with her brother Yogi. She gets along with the rest of her furry siblings and is a happy cat. Rosie #252822 will not eat dry food but she will eat any kind of wet food. She doesn't like dry treats either! Rosie loves to play with her furry mouse and the laser light. Rosie #252822 is happily spoiled now in her new home and we are very happy she has found a wonderful loving home. Rosie would be so honored to have a COTD badge to display on her page. This sweet kitty joined the angels in February 2013 after losing his battle with complications that developed after being hit by a car the month before. He’d survived having both legs broken & surgery, but was unable to walk & had to drag himself to the litterbox. He was very brave & stayed a very sweet boy during all of the pain, infections, examinations & becoming a foster; but the angels knew that his life would not be a full one with his disabilities & thus called him home. Please pounce by to paw ANGEL CRASH #248838 a vote today so that his foster mom will have a fond memory to cherish & so that this sweet angel can earn the honor of making his star the most brilliant in the night sky tomorrow night.

Please paw by & meet this beautiful Champagne Point Tonkinese kitty. KAYLIN #251700 is not just a beautiful face she is also a CFA Champion & a Mom. She was hand picked for her new parents by her sister Wendy's breeder when she found out how sick Wendy was. But this sweet girl was already a mom so her new parents had to wait to bring her home. All of her kitties found their furever homes & then she had her Big Girl surgery. She was finally able to come to her new home in January. She wasn't sure if she wanted to stay at first, but her new parents gave her lots of love & support so we are happy to report she is settling in quite nicely. KAYLIN #215700 spends her days hanging out on Mom & Dads laps, playing with her toys, & napping in the sun. She also likes to tear through the apartment at top speed and has been known to do it in the middle of the night too. Her most favorite things to eat are the Roast Chicken, that she shares with her parents, and her Blue food. She Loves to make new friends so won't you please stop and give KAYLIN #251700 your vote and make a new friend.

What’s purring with you? It is a chilly, rainy, & windy day here in southwest Mississippi. Our high temp is only 54 and tonight 39 degrees. Brrrr! That is very cold for us especially in May. Such strange weather we all are having this year.

Did you know that we kitties have lots to celebrate in May? It is Be Kind to Animals Month, National Pet Month, and May 30th is National Hug Your Cat Day. Also Sissy and my birthdays are also in May. So. . . let’s get this pawty started!

♥ Hello Friends, this is Sassee 10605 tonight! Ok, my irritating littermate brother, Jazpyr, too!
Jazpyr, you shut up and don't say a word or I'm going to be hissing and growling at you some more with a few swats! MOL!

♥ Jazpyr 10428 and I Thank You for your visits to us each with your beautiful singing voices to our 9 year Adoptiversaries on May 1st! You all sounded so sweet and in purr*fect tune! Thank you also for the sweet gifts, flowers, Piñatas and balloons. We Thank You mostly for your loving friendships to us.

♥ Mom and dad had their purr*sonal Bible Study today (May 1st) and I came in the front room to meow a few times. Mom fed me then she picked me up and held me. She knew I am hurting still.

♥ Mom opened dad's bedroom window again this morning so we could go out in the cattery. Mom also mowed the front yard Wednesday morning. Her and dad worked in the back room all day on Thursday sorting with lots more things for a sale.

♥ Mom did get an email letting her know that my Dasuquin should be here by Saturday then she will get me started on them and in hopes it will ease or even take away my pain.

Nice day today. Earlier in the morning it was wet and drippy, but then it cleared up nicely and reached 71*...it is very nice out, but a bit windy. Mom was finally able to get us outside when she got home.

Mom had to go to FedEx today and send out some faxes, and she applied for a job at NCI, and picked up some pop at Walgreens.

Guess what??? Mom said if this weather keeps up she is start BBQing soon. Wow...outside food is the best food. That is when the dirty flies stay away from it. <MOL>

Mom planted her Morning Glories today, the envelope said to plant them in May and tomorrow is May, so mom did it a day early...can't wait to see them sprout.

This week’s special recognition candidates were found on the side of a road near a wooded area when they were barely old enough to fend for themselves. Their guardian angel was working hard that day & led their new mom to the right spot where she picked up the three mewing furballs & took them home. These precious sibs have stolen the hearts of many CC members by mom’s picture postings on FB & it’s pawsome being able to watch them grow up here in our loving community. Colt and Winchester love to talk to calm Kimber down because she’s very shy, unlike her more outgoing sibs. They love to play with their mouse toys & frequently pick on their bigger sibs throughout the day to see how much they can get away with. You can often find this rambunctious trio of young felines looking out of the window talking to birds, or playing with their light up ball. They’re snugglers too! They’re often found in the lap of mom or grandpa or you can see them snuggling happily together in their kitty bed. The inseparable trio of COLT,WINCHESTER & KIMBER#251320, are also keeping the house hopping with their energy level so let’s help them bounce off the walls a little more by pouncing by to paw them a COTD vote today, Monday April 29th, so they can earn their very first badge of honor tomorrow!

Patter (249085) is a beautiful 6 year old tabby, who enjoys her outside time, ( She is quite the hunter) and loves playing with the catnip toys that her mom gets for her. Her boyfriend, Hedley tells us that she has a great sense of humor and is lots of fun.

Cassandra likes hamburgers from Burger King, cheese and hot dogs. She hates being interrupted from her naps and being ignored by her daddy. Thank you for all your support and coming by to leave me a votey. You are all the best and I’m blessed that you take time out of your busy day to see me.
Ok some of you might have not like that fact that the show kitties get a bath. They get primped and blown dry. It can be scary. I know one day mom got out her hair dryer and I didn’t like the noise. I just watched mom and didn’t like her pointing the thing at me. My next show a judge told mom she should blow dry me after a bath so I can fluff up like a Persian. Mom said I don’t like a blow dryer but maybe if she finds a quiet blow dryer. I guess I will be getting a blow dryer. SIGH! I’ll see if I like it but I think mom is just throwing her money away. I don’t want to look like a Persian, if I did I would be a Persian. MOL
I don’t mind a bath. I have been real good for the groomer and now that mommy works again she gives me a bath. I do well for her too. I guess I shouldn’t have jumped in mom’s tub when it was full of water and swam a little before getting out. It just blew my cover liking water. One of my furriends mom gave a sample of shampoo she has for mom to try on me. It brings out the white in my furr. Mom used it on me for my last show. I did look shiny and pretty. I hope mom doesn’t find out. She might try it on me before I’m scheduled for another show.
Even after a bath, I’m a mama’s girl. I love to be close to mom. Even when she takes me to a show, after I come home use my litter box and eat, I go lay by mom. I guess I’m not to mad at her for dragging me to the shows.

Thanks for stopping by. Yup, I've got my poppa wrapped around my paw. And I must say he's well trained too. MOL. I'm still working on Sebastien's momma though. Right now, she's watching Too Cute Kittens on the Animal Planet. One of the group of kittens featured is a group of Maine Coons. They sure are adorable little ones.

My siblings and I were just over on the contest page leaving our votes and happened to notice your picture. My brother and sister think we look alike and I have to agree with them. Actually, looking at your picture was like looking in a mirror. I love looking outside too especially at those funny bushy tailed squirrels. Some times I get to go out and play in our yard. We have fresh catnip growing in our garden and during the warmer months I love to nibble on it. From one handsome cat to another, have a pawtastic Saturday and good luck in the contest.

Now that I’ve peaked your curiosity (MOL) I’m going to spin you all the way back to California to meow about a very special & heroic bird that was owned by SABRINA’s #11187 mom a long time ago, (B.C. before cats)! OBIE was just a common yellow parakeet but he was very special and spoke 3 languages...English, Italian and Spanish. Obie lived in a cage in the living room but he liked to stand on top of the cage, on mom’s shoulder, or flew around during the time he was out every day…but never leaving the room. One day, his mom reached into the top cupboard to pull out a crock pot and lost her grip and it came crashing down on her head. She’d never in my life experienced this sensation & truly saw stars and felt herself losing consciousness. All of sudden, Obie flew into the room and landed on her shoulder and started chirping "pretty bird", "Ciao Bella", "Que Paso" into her ear as she gripped the countertop. (Obie never had been in the kitchen before and it was a completely separate room as the living room) She later went to the emergency room & found out she had a concussion. She believes Obie & his act of heroism prevented her from being knocked out cold that day.

Hmmm…I think my big sis just got a quick jab in at my demanding catitude along with thank you meows...MOL! Today I’m bringing you a heroic story that is on the freekibble site after you answer the cat trivia. No pic today though since it wouldn’t let me copy it.
~SOLDIER AND CAT SAVE EACH OTHER IN AFGHANISTAN~
Stationed in an Army base in southern Afghanistan, Sgt. Knott noticed one day that a feral cat who roamed around the base was limping and bleeding heavily. He lured the cat into his office with a piece of steak and spent the next seven months caring for the cat he named Koshka. The two bonded quickly. Sgt. Knott nursed Koshka back to health, while Koshka comforted Sgt. Knott during the certain danger and emotional toll of war. When it was time for Sgt. Knott to return to the states, he wouldn’t leave Koshka behind. He explained to KPTV how he worked with a local Afghan interpreter who agreed to, in an extremely risky transport, take Koshka to Kabul. Weeks later Sgt. Knott learned that the cat (and his Afghan chaperone) made it safely across “God knows how many Taliban check points,” to Kabul, where Koshka boarded a plane bound for the states. The $3,000 Sgt. Knott’s family forked over to fly the cat home was worth every penny, they said. While Sgt. Knott is currently stationed in Washington state, Koshka is now safe at home with Sgt. Knott’s parents until the pair can be together again. The Oregon Humane Society recently honored Sgt. Knott and Koshka with a 2013 Diamond Collar Hero award for their incredible story of friendship.

How was your Easter? Ours was “eggstra” special because The Easter Bunny came to see us. He brought us a Kong catnip carrot kicking toy & two Yeowww catnip carrots. Sissy kinda likes the Kong toy, but MerryBelle & I were not too impressed!

We are excited because today is Opening Day for Major League Baseball. As most of you know by now, we are HUGE Chicago Cubs fans. Hope springs eternal on Opening Day each season but we foresee another dismal season for our beloved Cubbies.

These precious kitties are so thankful to have a loving family after they were abandoned when their previous owners moved away. Their new family, who are long time loyal members of CC, realized that Fang & Drooler faced an uncertain future because of their advanced age and medical conditions; so they decided to take them in and try to find them another home. They both meow their displeasure with car rides, strangers, vacuums, & trash trucks; Fang, in particular, has an aversion to feathers, preferring to play only with a shoelace! These sweet kitties are also dealing with an Auto Immune disorder: Drooler has had 7 teeth removed as a result; Fang suffers from mouth and paw ulcers, and is not too happy that he has to take medications for the ulcers, insulin to treat Diabetes, stress, & will start meds for Hyperthyroidism. Along with Luvbug, Lil Jag, Buster, Smudge, & Angels Kuce, Sphinx, & Dancing Bear, Fang & Drooler #236550 have been given a chance to live with this wonderful family, who are well known to everyone for the love and compassion they have for homeless and abandoned cats! Fang & Drooler #236550 crave love and attention & will be overjoyed to have furiends come by and visit! We hope you will leave a vote so they can have the honor of winning their very own COTD award!

Well, mom is still feeling pretty ill. She is in her kitty jammies, but she said she will probably get dressed and go to the ER later if you tummy troubles persist. She was awake all night last night with pain and only a few hours sleep. I guess it's good mom is not working right now.

We are a bit chilly today, it is 44* according to the Weather Channel, but mom's laptop weather says it is 37*...so who do you believe?

Them Wings are doing well. They beat Phoenix last night 3/2. Kelsee is so happy. Anaheim and Phoenix both thought playing them was gonna be a 'walk in the park' according to the announcer, but he said the Wings sure proved them wrong and now they realized they are a team to be reconed with.

Yesterday mom was so disappointed...she turned on TV wanting and expecting to see "MacGyver" on Cloo for the Monday marathon, but instead of him they were airing "Psych"...mom hates that show and thinks it is so retarted. Why show that?

Oh no, what did that UPS man bring mom?? We watched with anticipation as she opened the large box <we knew it was gonna be ours>, and then she started taking parts out of the box and then --are you ready for this? Mom got another floor monster, this one isn't as loud and it is really nice. It is a Eureka Upright that has a Hepa Filter and a hose and all kinds of attachments to clean floors, curtains and furniture and NO bags...mom kinda likes that idea. She has to replace the filetr every 6 months and the belt when it wears out.

Well, mom ended up NOT going to the ER. She got lost downtown and gave up and caught another bus home. people are not too nice and mom doesn't trust very many men...one offered to drive her to the Medical center, but mom was very leery, so she just said no....she is gonna wait and see if she can get a ride with a friend so she doesn't have to go alone.

Neelix is a very handsome seven year old tabby who was rescued along with his brother when he was a tiny kitten abandoned in a parking lot. Since that tiny kitten was adopted by his loving pawrents he has trained them to be excellent staff for himself and his brothers. Regarding his brothers, Hedley and Jakar, the three of them comprise the famous (or perhaps infamous) “pawty animals”. These boys are always the life of any party, they create lots of fun at every MHL Mouse Hockey Game, and they are always the first to lend a paw on any project that benefits the CC community. They’re always there to offer comfort to the sad, good thoughts and healing wishes to the sick and congratulations to those who are celebrating. Neelix and his family always support the COTD and COTM candidates. They are a credit to the CC community!
Neelix is an outstanding member of our CC family, and since both of his brothers already have their very own COTD badges, it seems that it is time for Neelix to have one of his own. Won’t you please drop by and give this handsome guy a vote, on Monday so he can have the badge he so much deserves.

it's sure been
one busy day for janet! walked after 6am with pepper, then went for her 3-4 month bloodwork and grocery shopping after that. once home she started to cook after trying to get things done here online, but didn't get to far as her mom found out yesterday when janet took here there after work the er at the hospital that her arm is broken in a fall she took a week ago. between work with increased hours, walking and then getting meals days ahead of time freezing and putting others in the fridge. she and nat have divided the chores in addition to their own they already have to do. sandy,ana,haley,angels

Good Morning & happy Monday everyone! Thank you for pouncing by to paw me your vote support & sharing my adopty day festivities on the 16th! After reading some of your comments from our zoo trip this weekend I now understand why the police dogs were watching us so closely. I thought I was a kitty that created havoc but it appears that I was surpassed by a couple of you this weekend…MOL! These ornery kitties wandered into the new, but still closed, animatronics display & caused an uproar with the staff & other zoo visitors. Guess you did make a lasting impression with your antics though because they put red marks beside your names & faxed them to all other zoos around the world…MOL! Okay kitties…I saw several of you swimming with the dolphins after their daily shows so thought I’d wrap up my hero animal series with two stories starring our aquatic mammal furiends.
~LIFEGUARDS SAVED FROM SHARK ATTACK BY DOLPHINS~
On Oct. 30, 2004 a group of lifeguards swimming off the coast of New Zealand were protected from a shark attack by dolphins. Lifeguard Rob Howes and three female lifeguards were on a training swim about 100 meters off Ocean Beach near Whangarei on the North Island. While they were swimming a pod of dolphins suddenly came steaming at them and started circling them. The dolphins bunched the four swimmers together by circling about 4-8 centimeters from them, and slapping the water with their tails for about 40 minutes. Owes drifted away from the main group when an opening occurred, it was then he saw a great white shark about two meters away. When the shark started moving toward the women the dolphins went into hyper-drive. Howes said, "I would suggest they were creating a confusion screen around the girls. It was just a mass of fins, backs and human heads. “The shark left as a rescue boat neared, but the dolphins remained close by as the group swam back to shore.
~MOKO THE DOLPHIN SAVES 2 STRANDED PYGMY SPERM WHALES~
In March 2008 at Mahia Beach, New Zealand, a dolphin named Moko guided 2 stranded Pygmy Sperm Whales to safety. The two pygmy sperm whales, a mother and her calf, were found stranded on Mahia Beach. Rescuers worked for more than an hour to get the whales back into the water, but the whales kept getting disorientated and stranded themselves four more times on a sandbar. It looked likely the whales would have to be euthanized to prevent them suffering a prolonged death, and then Moko came to the rescue.
