Handsome Zeus was rescued from a kill shelter by a rescue group and is now living with his foster mom until a furever home is found for him, though by her admission, that may change. This sweete little boy is proving to be a handful by getting into all the places he doesn't belong. Hehehe! He loves playing with wand toys and catnip mice. You can find him hanging out on the top of the coffee maker, in the sink, the top of the computer or on the stove. Now we see where he gets his rep for being in all the wrong places! Thank you for celebrating with us!
We loved seeing so many of you at our COTD celebration party yesterday & thank you SO much for attending. Turkey-leftover Delights from The Cat-Lovers’ Cook Book by Tony Lawson
Yields 4 to 5 servings.
1 1/2 cups water
1/2 tsp iodized salt (optional)
2 teaspoons corn oil
1/2 cup brown rice, uncooked
1/2 pound raw turkey giblets, chopped into kitty-bite-size pieces
1/4 cup carrot, chopped fine
1/2 cup chopped spinach
Combine salt, oil, and water and bring to a boil.
Pour rice in boiling water, lower heat, cover and cook for 10 minutes.
Stir in turkey giblets, carrot, and spinach.
Cover and cook on low heat for another 10 or 15 minutes.
Cool and serve.
Store unused portions in an airtight container and keep refrigerated or freeze in meal-size packets, then warm to serve.
