This morning my Mom was feeding the outside cats, Whitey & Orangie, just like every morning, when suddenly a big, loud meow came from inside the house. It was me, Whiskers, standing on the other side of the kitchen door that leads to the garage. Mom said Whitey & Orangie were both startled. Orangie ran for cover to the Igloo, but Whitey slowly walked into the garage, right up to the kitchen door and just kept listening. I meowed a few more times and Mom said Whitey just sat there, listening intently. She sniffed the door and then walked back to Mom to be petted. Well, Whitey has never walked that far into the garage and she wasn’t scared. My Mom is hoping this is a sign that we will get along with one another, once they finally do come inside. It was a very good morning!

Yes, my sister and I hid out under the bed all day while the plumber was here. The noise was deafening because they had to replace some of the boards under the flooring. My Mom came to sit with us every hour, but it was much too loud. We wouldn't come out. Thankfully it is all done!

The outside kitties Whitey & Orangie are doing fine. My Mom gave them a special treat, which we all got for Father’s Day. We love when she buys us Whiska’s Filet Mignon cat food. Unfortunately the vet doesn’t recommend it, so we only get it on occasions. I hope you had a nice weekend.

Aww, that's so sweet, Dot!
Our Dad thanks you for your sweet wishes. We also wish your Dad a Happy Fathers Day, too!
Oh, yeah..Mom forgot to take down the tree trimming photos, mol! Last week the folks had our big redwood tree trimmed and thinned out, and the neighbor's huge Monterey Cypress tree cut back away from the redwood. It had been growing over our yard and pushing into our tree.
A few cats asked us about the project, so our mom had posted the photos of the guys up in the trees! Boy! Talk about a dangerous job! They were harnessed in, but still!
Anyway, the folks are going to be doing some yard-scaping and re-sodding and adding a brick path area and other stuff.
How are things with you kitties? Hope you're not getting those scary storms.

The outside kitties had a nice, quiet morning. Mom could tell the raccoons had already been by, leaving a mess in their wake. Whitey & Orangie were hungry and both wanted to be petted and played with. Of course that meant my sister and I had to wait for our breakfast (sigh). Good thing we are patient kitties!

We hope you are all okay after the severe storms you are having. You are all in our prayers. We love your new profile picture with your walking harness on. Green looks lovely on you dear furiend!

My fursister Callie had her checkup at the vet and unfortunately she will have to go back to have her teeth cleaned. The vet said her gums were starting to develop gingivitis, even though Mom tries to brush her teeth. The good news is, Callie’s heart is very strong, so the anesthesia used during the procedure should be okay.

The outside kitties, Whitey & Orangie were wide awake at 4 a.m. this morning and ready to eat. Mom must have pushed the top half of the cat carrier too much, because they were both reluctant to go in to eat their food. So Mom had to back it off a bit and then they were okay with it. Mom thought she was being sneaky. MOL! Whitey meowed at Mom a couple of times again this morning. Whitey has a very dainty meow.

Wow! You got to go outside! Don't go too far, be careful and have lots of fun dear furiend!

My fursister Callie is going to the vet today for annual vaccinations and check up. My Mom always worries Callie’s teeth will need to be cleaned. It seems to happen every other year, which isn’t too bad, but Callie has bladder problems, so the vet doesn’t like to have to give her anesthesia. My Mom has been brushing Callie’s teeth, so we shall see if it has helped. Keep your paws crossed.

Another Monday and another day of house cleaning! Time to head for under the bed while the vacuum monster is out rearing it’s noisy head. The outside kitties are back to eating their canned cat food. Both Whitey and Orangie stayed with Mom playing and being petted in the garage for almost an hour. Orangie is fast becoming friends with Mom!

Ooohhh, climbing screens! That's my mama's specialty! She used to climb the bedroom screen all the time. She sort of stopped all that. She also used to trun somersaults over the curtain rods, but she seems to have given up gymnastics!

So far I'm content to just knock stuff down..Another little annoying habit of mine - if there's a wet sponge left in the kitchen soink instead of in the little drainer, I will pick it up, soaking wet, and drop it on the floor. Splat! I do NOT like things left in the sink, even stuff that belongs there! :)

Thank you for your vote and furiendship. I hope you are enjoying the trip to California so far. My blogger and I are taking the weekend off, but we will be back Monday to continue the second part of our trip.

Not much new to report this morning. The outside kitties were waiting to be fed this morning, but for some reason they only ate their dry food. Mom hasn’t changed their brand of wet food, they just didn’t seem interested in it today. They did eat a whole bag of Temptations (My Mom always mixes it in with their regular dry cat food). I told Mom, us cats can be finicky!

Yes, cats require your bed. Though they may have their own kitty-size beds (sometimes more than one), cats crave space on their owners’ beds — and the bigger, the better. More than two cats: “Are you sure there isn’t a super-king size?” you wheedle at the mattress superstore. Not that a bigger bed means better sleep or getting up more easily. You can’t get up in the morning when there’s a cat pinned to your feet — or your head.

It's a ☼ Caturday morning & all is well
Sorry I didn't get by to visit anyone yesterday as planned but my mom threw a kink in my day. Imagine that...MOL! She & the kids were gone most of the morning & early afternoon running errands. When they finally did get home they ate a quick lunch & then headed outside to start pulling weeds. As if that wasn't bad enough...when dad got home from work he got out the loud grass eating monster that always sends me scurrying under the bed. Mom says he'll have it out again later today to sweep the yard so I thought I'd better get my blog out before I'm forced into hiding again.

Today may be the Belmont Stakes but it's also Best Friend Day!! It's a special day to enjoy and appreciate your best friend(s) plus being the day to honor and cherish the relationship.
If you're lucky, you have a best friend. If you are real lucky, you have a number of best friends. Best friends are very, very special people. You spend countless hours with your best friend going to events and activities, or just hanging out. You share secrets, hopes, dreams, aspirations, and disappointments with your best friend.
Some folks say you can only have one best friend. This kitty disagrees & thinks you can have a couple at the same time, or several over time. Friends come and go for a variety of reasons. It's the result of many things, including moving, changing schools or jobs, and more. I hope that you are lucky enough to have a number of best friends over the years because I've come to consider all of you as some of my dearest ones & cherish each moment I have with you!

we've had more rain
than we know what to do with the past 3 weeks as june has certainly been way to wet. gardens likely will have to be replanted and janet's will be for the 3rd time seeing she did her's. no early morning walk either seeing it's still raining despite the robins and others singing inviting her to walk, she's not! sandy,ana,haley,angels

Mom spent yesterday cleaning and doing our kitty laundry. Of course my sister and I hid out under the bed until the coast was clear. Whew! The outside kitties are doing well. My Mom got all excited this morning because Whitey meowed at Mom, and this is the first time Mom has heard her meow. She has heard her hiss before, but never meow. We think this is a good sign.

For yourself? How selfish of you! Feline surgery, medications, tests, more meds and CAT scans are all far wiser expenditures. Especially for your vet, who will then be able to afford a European vacation of his own. The healing cat won’t care how many dollars (or euros) you sacrificed for her. But she’ll be pleased if you enjoy a vacation closer to home (and her treat supply). The backyard is lovely this time of year.

I don't blame your Mom for trying to be very careful with you and get the right harness for you. We wouldn't want anything happening to you sweet kitty!

The top of the cat carrier is now ¾ of the way on. The outside kitties, Whitey & Orangie don’t seem to mind it at all. you guys didn't make it to sports day and it was such a nice day too to be outside doing/getting things done which haven't been able to for weeks! mowing lawns there people are playing catch up and some are now almost to long to mow! janet got mommy to a specialist at the hospital in northampton yesterday and says there might be a blockage in her upper chest due to something, so has to go back for a cat scan next thursday and this time master/nat will be with her not janet as janet can't get the day off this go round. she was busy enough for the morning getting the garden replanted, trans-planted and weeded out or two other smaller gardens which are done for the time being, but with all the rain from ts andrea coming in tonight-saturday and more with boomers on mon/tues and showers wed., we're in for an-other good soggy spell and don't need it all either! had 5" the past 2 weeks and got around that likely coming totaled from what's coming in! sandy,ana,haley,angels

first,EVERYBODY gets to go out except for POOR LONESOME DOT!!! and then you get stuck in a spot where you can't get free,and your poor little legs are quivering under the pressure and you're frightened out of your mind, and YOU get the lecture!!! how about a lecture to the pawrents about not putting things in the house that can cause "kitty suspension"!!!!

Thanks for your visit & the prayers. I am feeling much better today. No more barfy!

This morning I ate my lysine treats, Blue canned food and some k/d dry. Plus I drank from my mew water fountain. Mommy gave me the Clavamox this morning, so hopefully things are looking better & brighter!

I run when I see Mommy coming towards me. I know that nasty Clavamox is coming!

Keeping your Grandpa and your sweet Mom in our prayers. We know that she has had a tough year but hopefully things will improve for her soon. Paws crossed!

Oh, you poor kitty! I'm glad to hear you are all right! What a frightening experience! I bet your Mom won't forget you next time!

The temperature is supposed to start warming up this week to 3 digits by Friday. 100 degrees is too hot for us! I guess we’ll be staying in the house for a few days. The outside kitties are doing fine. Whitey and Orangie ate a bunch and then sat with Mom for petting and a little playing. My Mom is moving the top of the cat carrier very slowly, so hopefully the kitties won’t even notice.

Oh Dot! Good one!
I forgot about the phone! Oh yes, must push all buttons, turn off the answering machine, delete messages, and even knock the whole phone onto the floor now and then when someone is leaving an annoyingly LONG message. I hate that!

Very good pick-up on the knocking stuff off tables and counters. There's a cabinet in the mud room that has a bread box on it (full of spaghetti - go figure) and there are always things sitting there. I am very good at knocking them on the floor. And the living room table, and the dresser, and the counters, and anywhere else I can get on top of. If there are things sitting there, I MUST knock them off!

Funny, after I knock them down, I just leave them there. I never play with any of the stuff I knock down. I just do it to be an annoying little poop. And to give mom something to do, like picking up all the stuff i knock down. I know she loves me for it! MOL!

It sounds like your Mom had a great visit with your Gpa. And that was so nice of Shadow to brighten up everyone's day! You have a wonderful family.

It was a warm day here yesterday, so my Mom took Callie and I for a ride in our stroller. We always like to look out for Whitey or Orangie, but no sign of them. There is a creek nearby with many tress and bushes, a perfect hiding spot for any animal when the weather is hot. But it never hurts to look. The two outside kitties were home for breakfast, but where they go during the day is driving my Mom nuts!
