How We Met
She kept coming to visit us all summer long, she loves our dog Shadow. I would be out walking Shadow and all of a sudden Dot would be there!!! But what really cinched the deal was helping her dad work on the tractor one day, I think he found me irresistable!!

We're glad to hear your Mom has some help taking care of Gpa. We will keep him in our prayers. You keep eating too dear furiend. You want to keep your strength up!
Yesterday the weather turned out to be nice, not too warm, so our Mom took us out for a ride in our cat stroller. It has been a while, but Mom needs the exercise. Callie and I enjoyed it because no one else was out walking (with their dogs!). We saw Orangie sitting on a fence that surrounds the peacock’s house. We didn’t want to scare him so we just walked by shaking our heads, hoping he wouldn’t fall into the peacock’s yard! No sight of Whitey, but I’m sure she has a nice, very hidden spot.
They were both here to eat this morning, so all is well.
Our thoughts and prayers are with all those affected by the recent tornado outbreaks. The news has been heartbreaking!

CATS’ RULES OF LIFE (Part 1)
BATHROOMS:
Always accompany guests to the bathroom. It is not necessary to do anything. Just sit and stare but occasionally rub their legs.
DOORS:
Do not allow any closed doors in any room. To get door open, stand looking sad at the humans. Once door is opened, it is not necessary to use it. After you have ordered an "outside" door opened, stand halfway in and out and think about several things. i hope you are feeling better now and not worrying your mom...
gosh..did your mom get the 'puter working? sometimes those things are pretty hard to figure out..i know our mom has tried to do that before but she has always had to give up and get a new one..and our dad is hopeless in the "fix-it" department..teehee..
mom is glad she had a nice day planting her garden, too..and now everything is popping up all over..why..we can't even play in the dirt anymore..sigh.

How wonderful your Gpa is going to be celebrating his 94th birthday. We sure hope your Mom can bribe him to eat with a delicious cake!
My Mom must not have been reading the cat-signs from Whitey very well this morning, because Whitey got tired of Mom’s petting and she let Mom have it with both paws! Ouch! Mom knew it was her fault for not paying attention more, but she had been distracted with Orangie’s playing Sniff and Run with Mom. Mom was laughing at his antics and didn’t notice Whitey was getting annoyed! MOL! Us cats have to keep these humans on their toes!

Thank you for pouncing by with belated birthday wishes for me today Dot, Tucker, & Mouse! I had so much fun playing games, nibbling on the yummy goodies several of you brought along, blowing bubbles & popping balloons! I was so worn out that I slept in & would have missed breakfast if mom hadn't tickled my tummy to wake me up this morning...MOL! Thank you for making my birthday celebration more special by being here for me dear furiends!

Thank you for the birthday greetings. I had a good birthday on 15 May. There were no big celebrations as we were all tired out by our trip to Delhi, which was to finally move everything here. Mom gave me fish jelly, plenty of lap time, and let me open up the transported cartons, which I loved doing! And the messages and gifts from my furiends made me feel so special.

I am glad to hear you have been eating and feeling better. That is wonderful news!
The outside kitties were on edge this morning, as was Mom when she opened the garage and smelled skunk! My Mom got out her flashlight and tennis racket and went out walking along the street, to hopefully scare it away if the skunk was still nearby. Thank goodness the coast was clear. Not sure what Mom would have done if she had run into the skunk. :( Whitey and Orangie ate fine; everyone just seemed a bit nervous.

The outside kitties are doing fine. Mom spends more time with them than she does with us! Just kidding. But it does seem like that sometimes. After they are finished eating, Callie and I are always waiting to run into the garage to see what went on in there. Mom thinks we will be fine when we finally do meet face to face!

I'm so glad that you are feeling better, sweetie. I hope you are also eating well by now. So sorry to hear that moms computer crashed. A happy mothers day,,,NOT. Has mom had it repaired or did she have to get a new one?
Oh my goodness, a sewer backup. Fortuneately it was in the basement, but still, what a mess? And smell!!! I don't blame you for moving. My pawrents have accomplished so much in the 2 weeks they've been back, but there are a lot of odds and ends that will take time to replace but they aren't a priority.
Hope you all had a pawsome Caturday and have a blessed Sunday, dear ones. On Tuesday, we are havin a cat meetup with K. Mikes mom Teresa, My Mom, A.Q. Gracies mom Debi, Sassy's mom Deb and Susie T. Hi Dot!
This morning my Mom was with the outside kitties for over an hour. I was getting pretty tired of waiting! Mom sat on the floor again, to get to eye level with the outside cats, and Whitey really liked this. Whitey kept rubbing her face all over Mom & purring. Mom’s clothes were covered in fur! Callie and I were quick to check it out, sniffing to see whom she had been with. MOL!
Orangie was reluctant at first, but then would sneak behind Mom, sniff her and then go running away. Mom didn’t move and Orangie kept coming back like it was a game. Sniff and Run! Afterwards the kitties ate, not really noticing any scents from Callie and me. (I really think I need to spray that cat carrier. MOL!) Mom says this was a good morning. :)

liking those creepy,crawly, red-eyed,bulging-eyed

My sister Callie and I got to play in the garage inside Whitey & Orangie’s cat carrier yesterday. We even ate out of their dry cat food dish! I tried to bring one of their catnip mice toys back inside with me, but Mom caught me and put it back. Aw, gee Mom! So this morning when Mom fed them, Whitey starting sniffing around, Orangie too. Then Mom said they both started rubbing their faces all over everything. We think this is a good sign. Afterwards, they both ate as usual and Whitey sat by Mom’s feet, taking her after-meal bath. Our dear furiend, Angel Q. Miss Millie had a good idea. She suggested Mom sit on the ground to be more at eye level with them. Whitey seemed to like this, but Orangie wasn’t too sure, so he kept his distance. Mom is going to keep doing this, hoping Orangie will eventually come around.

Beware of flipped over rugs...
I'm giving myself a big paws up because I was the one that caught a mouse this time! I had to growl at my sisters to make sure they left him alone while I played so you can probably imagine the pleading looks on their faces as they were sidelined...MOL! When I was finished with my game I made sure to put the playing piece on mom's rug & flip it over so he was covered & she'd have fun finding her 'gift'. When mom headed in the direction that I'd hidden her special surprise I was right on her heels meowing. She saw the rug, flipped it back & I meowed "purrprise" & rubbed against her legs. Hmmm...I started thinking my lovely gift was not very appreciated because I heard her say "that's gross Patchy" before she called dad to remove it. She did pick me up & tell me that I was a good girl as dad tossed him outside so at least I know my prowess is appreciated, even if the hidden present was not...MOL! My sisters have been jealous so they're on rodent patrol when they're awake plus have been shadowing me everywhere I go. Dream on kitties because the Patchy mouse patrol is now in charge...MOL!
Well there's not much else happening yet on this cool, cloudy morning so will paw you a vote & a triple berry muffin so I can head toward a good napping spot. Have a purrfect weekend & I'll meow at you again next week.

The saga of our outside kitties continues… My Mom lifted the top half of the cat carrier onto several old newspaper crates and set it beside the bottom half of the carrier. Whitey & Orangie were curious this morning when they saw it, but not afraid. They both sniffed around it and then went back to the business of eating. Mom plans to slowly slide the top half of the carrier onto the bottom half. This was a great idea from our dear furiend Mischief!

picked up a sinus allergy headcold and managed to avoid it all this past season and gets it now when it's starting to warm up again after 2 very, very cold mornings lower 30s and upper 20s! supposed to make 80 today and didn't get out of the upper 60s here yesterday so it felt thanks to the easterly winds which made it feel worse. sports day next week tuesday. sandy,ana,haley,angelsCome visit me, ana, haley, malachi is my boyfriend! whiskerscotm & sandy, angels, vote whiskers cotm!.

Hi Dot!
This morning after my Mom finished feeding and playing with the outside kitties, Mom let Callie and I in the garage (with the door shut of course) to sniff the cat carrier where Whitey & Orangie eat. We both ran to give it the once over. I even stepped inside the bottom half where they eat. Mom laughed while we sniffed and rubbed our faces everywhere. I thought about spraying the carrier, but Mom saw me and shouted OH NO! She’s no fun. Doesn’t she know that’s a sign of kitty love?! MOL! Mom is going to let us do this every day and see if the outside kitties notice and react. Baby steps …

I hope your weather starts warming up soon. 90 degrees is a little too warm for us. Today is supposed to cool off by 15 degrees. Much better!
My Mom still hasn’t worked up the nerve to put the top back on the cat carrier. Orangie is getting so brave with letting Mom pet him and scratch behind his ears. Mom doesn’t want any setbacks just yet. We got a smart tip from our furiend, Sir Malachi, to toss a couple of catnip toys into the carrier. It really got Orangie’s attention. He even batted the catnip stuffed mouse around a couple of times! They both eat their food while standing in the carrier without a problem. This is amazing progress.

Hi Dot!
Today is housecleaning day and we already saw Mom getting the mean ole vacuum cleaner out of the closet! Time to head for our safe spots in the backyard. The temperature was 90 degrees yesterday, so hopefully Mom finishes quickly so we can come back inside without all the housecleaning noise!
The outside kitties were fine this morning. A small, baby raccoon was eating from the dry food bowls, but Whitey & Orangie didn’t seem scared of him. They both came out of their Igloo when Mom opened the garage door and the raccoon went scurrying off. My Mom doesn’t like to chase baby raccoons away, but knows they could hurt the cats. :(
We hope you had a wonderful Mother’s Day with your family yesterday!

work, walking and weeding janet was busy enough till she got a chance to spend the rest of the afternoon in her recliner listening to the radio and reading a book! they also celebrated mom's day and master's upcoming birthday a little early, but what the heck better that than not at all! janet and nat said his gift will have to wait till they go on vacation later next month. sandy,ana,haley,angels

Dear Meow-my,
Today is Mother’s Day, and because we love and care about you, we have a few points we’d like you to consider:
1. You’re perfect just the way you are. Sometimes we see you worry about silly things and we think you should worry less and nap more. It works for us. And we’ll even nap with you – what a deal!
2. We love it when you let us sleep in your chair. Even when you need to sit there, you never move us – you just balance your butt on the very edge of the chair so you don’t disturb us. You are kind…and well-trained.
3. We know you want to develop a consistent yoga routine and we think that’s a great idea. Stretching feels fantastic and we just want you to know we’re here to help you. You know how we are – the minute you sit on the floor, we climb all over you. Sometimes this annoys you, but we are only trying to help you master the poses. You’re welcome.
4. We also think you should read more books. We notice you look more relaxed when you read, and we like that. Additionally, you reading a book means we’re charged with rubbing our faces all over it and lying on top of it, forcing you to eventually stop reading and pay lots and lots of attention to us. So please read, relax, but focus most of your energy on us.
5. We have a relaxation tip for you: Have you tried napping on a pile of warm laundry? It’s just the best! Try a load of towels – you’ll never go back.
6. Don’t feel guilty about eating a treat now and again. In fact, get really excited about it! You see us, right? Do you notice how we race around the kitchen and cheer when you show us the treat jar? You need to do some racing and cheering over cupcakes. We’ll grab the camera.
7. We love it when you play with us! We think sometimes you should close that computer-thingy and play more often – and not just with us! Take a walk, go swimming or meet friends for tea. And sometimes, we want to be your only laptop.
Hopefully you will find our suggestions helpful. We kitties are smart and know how to live happy and balanced lives and we want that for you, too! Thank you for everything you do for us. We don’t even mind a camera in our faces now and again – we know that makes you happy. Not to create more work for you, but we would like to suggest that you do a few more loads of laundry each week. What? You read #5, right?

I hope you are feeling better everyday and eating like you should. You need to keep your strength up sweet kitty! You are in our prayers.
Our outside cats, Whitey and Orangie really like their Temptations treats! Mom said they should be in a commercial for the treats, because when she opened the new bag this morning, they both came running up to her. First they ate their canned Sheba food. Then afterwards they got treats. Mom put the Temptations into the carrier and the two cats went right in to eat without hesitating. My Mom is going to try this for a couple of days and then put the top of the cat carrier back on. Then we’ll see how much they really love Temptations!

how's your tummy feeling these days. have you gone back to eating your normal amount? maybe you should try Tucker's or Mouse's food. even when it's the same thing, it always tastes better if it's somebody else's. i know because if Puzzle even leaves the smallest morsel,i scoff it right down ;) make sure on Sunday to give mom extra hugs & kisses! sweet dreams little one.

Friday purrs from the NICE Crew
Happy Friday everycat! It's a very cool, wet day around here & mom's sinuses are causing her head to hurt so I've got to make this short & sweet so we can convince her she needs to take a nap with us.
I was whacking at Fluffernut earlier today because she keept trying to take away the toy I dragged out of the basket to play with. Trixie saw the commotion & got her attention so that she'd race with her for a while before I did her bodily harm that would have her hiding under the bed the rest of the day...MOL! Zaboo gave all of us 'the look' a few minutes ago so we're now snuggled on our favorite blankets with dreamland right around the corner. YAWN...cloudy day + orneriness= 4 very sleepy kitties...MOL!
Well got to go because my eyes are getting very heavy & Zaboo is giving mom a hint that naptime is here by trying to lay on her laptop as she types.
Just a reminder that we won't be doing anything but daily voting until Monday.
