Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers. Mom had bad news yesterday, she has breast cancer! We do not know when she will be operated on, so please continue praying for her. She is very sad,and I am being a good kitty so as not to disturb her. I hope your news is better and you are in our prayers also. Luv and kitty kisses.

History: THE NUTCRACKER BALLET
On December 17, 1892, The Nutcracker ballet premiered in St. Petersburg, Russia. Critics and audience thought it a failure; it was not an instant success.
The adaptation by Alexandre Dumas (1802–1870) was based on The Nutcracker and the Mouse King by Ernst Theodor Wilhelm Hoffman (1776-1822).
The score was composed by Peter Tchaikovsky, commissioned by mastermind choreographer Marius Petipa. Tchaikovsky died less than a year later.
The ballet was first performed in the United States in 1944. The Nutcracker has become a classic — many people consider it the most popular ballet in the world.

Hello Again!
Hi Bean & Belle!
Just wanted to say that Mom took me to the Vet this morning. I was a good girl. The Dr. gave me two shots, which I didn't like much. It made me cry, but then I got better and sat very nicely for the rest of my exam. Dr. Phil says I'm healthy. He never saw a paw like mine, but said it's not going to be a problem. I'm glad about that. When I got weighed, the scale said 12 pounds. I really liked the scale and didn't want to get out of it! There were pictures of doggies on the walls and I kept staring at them. I'm happy that they were only pictures, b/c I didn't really like seeing the real doggies in the waiting room! There were some great danes there and they looked like ponies to me! There was also another kitty in the waiting room. She is 21 years old! She was pretty and was just there for a check-up. Her daddy said she is very healthy. Mom said she sure hopes she has me for that long!
Mom bought me some toy mice b/c I was so good! I love them and have been playing with them today! It was a nice day here, but I slept pretty much. I think the shots made me sleepy.

Hi There!
Thanks for stopping by to visit and chat (and for saying that I'm pretty!). Yes, I do watch birdies out my window. Yesterday Mom was home with me 'cause she had a stomach virus, so we sat on the sofa most of the day. You won't believe this...I watched two squirrels chasing each other around my yard and then they ran up and down my maple tree! I spent nearly and hour watching them play! Wow, that was fun! Mom won't let me go outside b/c she says it's too dangerous. I like running around inside though, so that's okay.
Did I tell you that my new Mom says Santa Paws is coming on Christmas Eve and he's going to be riding in a fire truck?!! I can't wait for that! I have a stocking and I think it's getting fatter every day! I wonder if Santa Paws is sneaking in and filling it up? I'm gonna have to keep a close eye on that stocking!
Well, I think I'm gonna go and play with the snowflakes on Mom's Christmas tree. It seems like they're toys hanging there just for me, so I like to bat at them and twirl them around. Mom says one of these days I'm going to twirl the whole tree around! Have a great night!

Welcome to CC! I'm new here, too! You are very handsome! My name is Clara and I just got a forever home with my new Mom. I was at a shelter for nearly 6 months and was never picked b/c I have a deformed paw. The ladies at the shelter were so happy when my new Mom came in and chose me right away! I've only lived in my new home for 3 weeks, but I love it here! My favorite activity is just hanging out with my Mom (oh, and I admit that I have lots of fun with Mom's holiday decorations!). Have a great day and stop by to visit me when you have time! I gave you a vote!
