How We Met

As I pulled up in front of my home, I saw a teeny tiny kitten attempting to run after a group of girls. I ran over to the girls to find out if that was their kitten. They said no and that this kitten had followed them all the way out of the slough, through the park, and out into this neighborhood. The girls said that this kitten wouldn't stop following them. So, I swept her up, this crying, persistent, kitten, and told the girls that I would find her a really good home. I brought her to my house with every intention of bringing her to the shelter, but for some reason I just couldn't do it. I admired this little girl, this perseverent little kitten who would do anything it took to find herself a home. So, I decided to give her to my 16 year old daughter as a Christmas gift. And what a little gift she is. She had to be bottle fed for over a week because as it turned out, she was only 3 weeks old at the time. She started eating wet food and has moved on to dry kitten food. She has become Beanie's little sister, as well as Mocha's. Beanie grooms her as often as possible, and Mocha "tolerates" her. But she's become a little darling of this house very quickly and she is loved!
