I had a swell overnight stay..thank you for the double fluffy bed. Also thanks for the Snarkies, sorry that I left the wrappers behind. I tore 'em up 'cause I didn't wanna expose the real number of snacks I had. You don't look like a Bengal, so I doubt we're related, but the names are sure similar. I got mine 'cause Mom always saw me standing up on the toes of my hind legs to look out the window. I would love to check out your fancy digs. I have 2 cat trees to choose from and plenty of toys, but no catwalk, which would be great, as I like to be up above everything. Actually, with your love of water, you might be part Bengal; that's the only Bengal trait that I don't really have - I drink it is all. Oops, Mom says Oxford, NY is too darned cold this time of year, so maybe I'll plan a visit for later - August, maybe?

But yes, I was able to pull up that utube flick. No need for be to become a snack monster as I have mom wrapped around my tail. All I have to do is chirp and she brings out the goods. Please reserve the doublewide nook for me on Caturday. I must admit that I'm disappointed with the lack of snarkies.

oh gosh..i would love to come over for a sleep-over on saturday..although i may stay a little logner on sunday as our weatehr is ot going to be very nice with rain/sleet/snow. would that be a problem?

1. When you got home did you get your same old bed or favorite sleeping place back? oh..the same bed..no one messes with my bed
2. Did you have to fight for it? no..no one fights with the QUEEN

Of course I would participate in a futrue study...as long as its not on Super Bowl weekend. Gots to watch my football.
1. When you got home did you get your same old bed or favorite sleeping place back? Of course I did-size rules. I gathered all the orange rats thing,and tossed them on the floor.
2. Did you have to fight for it? Nope-Both Steve and Gma know who the boss is.
2.5 How many cats live in your home with you? One other,if I HAVE TO claim him.
3. Have you been able to sleep at least 10 hours at a time? If no, why not? Oh yes. Not that I was clock watching,but at least 12 hours at the least.
4. Have you lost or gained weight since going home? Is this a problem? Lost! I've been put on a fat cat diet. I'm STARVING!!!
5. Do you remember any favorite foods you ate at the lab? Everything,but if I had to pick one thing...maybe the chicken stuff on the nummy crackers that were on my night stand
6.How are you sleeping now? Better, worse, or the same? About the same,although the bed at the lab was nice and bouncy,and I didn't get woke up with a snoring shih tzu at the lab.
7. Are you having any dreams? I must be,I wake up in a different room than I fell asleep in. Sleep walking?

i am soo sorry to hear we have to cut our sleep study short..just when i have been getting used to having such wonderful naps and sleeps..and dreams..and the food..oh..i will miss that..

Hi Sniffy
Not a lot of time to spend with you at the mo. but just want to send a warning.
I got the physical in for Maia, that lovely Siamese participant. You be careful how you sit with or near her, okay? the same is going for Big Ernie, too. She only weighs 8.8 pounds-- probably your birth weight, ha-ha!
Thanks for trying to help me with the science experiment but remember you are a subject and I, me, am the mad scientist here. No mice in the nooks but you can fall asleep in the gym where the mice are running loose because none of your participants are any good at catching them. After the study ends, I'll just have to go in there myself with UBB and clean them up... for lunch.

Did I spell that right yet? I'm glad we don't get points off our sleep score for poor spelling. Am I winning the sleep contest? I think I should win.
Oh, I get it now. We have those hours of this so-called "free time" between the sleep competition. I will make every effort to make use of this time better, now that I know it's not being scored.
The dark covers in my sleepy nook are fine, I like black or dark green. Wool, preferably. Or goose down. Whichever is handy.
Oooooo, my favorite snacks are Catnip Temptations and Dingo Green Catnip soft treats. For our teef! I also like vanilla yogurt treats. Even though they are actually *d-o-g* treats, we like 'em! Woof! Haha! Betcha didn't know I was bilingual!
Would it be possible to have the mice released in my nook, so I don't have to chase them quite as far? See, catching fish, all I had to do was sit on my big keister and splash my big mitt into the water with hooks extended. Piece of fish! This mouse chasing involves a lot more motion, and quite honestly, I don't care for it. And as a sleep researcher, I should think you would prefer more sleep-inducing "activities". Like watching fish slowly fin their way around a pond, and around and around, slowly, around, zzzzzzz.....

Sorry, I seem to have missed your memo yesterday. guess that means I'll have to fill out 2 today. Nuts..
Okay, here's the scoop so far:
1) I slept pretty well, but got up again to use the litter box, get a drink, wander around aimlessly for a few minutes, snoop around the other sleepers and have a snack from my private stash I snuck in. Then I went right back to sleep. Swear!
2) Of course I napped! It's part of the 10-hour sleep sessions! Whenever I wake up to use the litter, or get a drink, or have a snack, or snoop around, that ends one nap, and when I go back to sleep, that starts another nap! I mostly nap in my assigned "sleep cubicle" but once I almost dozed off beside the litter room. Stopped for a moment to get my bearings and almost started to "zzzzz".
3) Most of my dreams involve chasing some sort of prey or victim, like Bee Gee or Grabby or Smokey. In my dreams, when I catch Grabby she turns around and has great big claws that she jabs me with. Oh no, wait, that's what happens when I'm awake. And Smokey becomes a loud siren, like an air raid. Oh, that happens when I'm awake, too. Hmm, maybe I don't dream....
4) The music doesn't seem to have any effect, good or bad. With all the snoring and other racket I can barely hear it anyway. I think I'll just use ear plugs from now on.
Other stuff: I was about 22 lbs. and 2 yrs. old when this study started, and I have only a preference for dry food. Wet food actually makes me gack. I like to eat stuff I find on the floor though. Since mom got rid of my fishing pond, my favorite activity is tormenting Bee Gee. With her stubby tail she looks like a sawed off fish anyway! :)
I hope this answers all your nosey questions. I'm gonna get some shut-eye now!
