Our Special Recognition cats today are Serj & Leah #196985 who were both adopted from Lolly Pop
Farm Animal Shelter at the tender age of eight weeks old. Both quickly acclimated to their new
forever home by making fast friends with their new furry siblings with Serj #196985 getting close to
his sister Katie, who sadly is now an angel, and Leah being wherever her brother Gir is. Like all of us
cats, both of these fine felines have their own personalities and likes & dislikes. Serj is pretty
outspoken but Leah #196985 is shy. Serj's morning routine is waiting for his mom every morning in
the bathroom and after her shower, insists on head scratches and kisses and lovey dovey time. Leah
#196985 is a bit feral but she has relaxed enough that she will allow her mom to pet her on occasion
without running away. Leah lets her mom know when their food bowls are empty by standing on the
counter and meowing an alert to have the bowls filled. Leah only likes dry food and especially likes it
when it is poured fresh into her bowl. Serj #196985 will jump over the dog gate to get inside his
mom's bedroom so he can cuddle with her even when he whacks at the ferrets during the night. Leah
prefers the company of Gir and hides very well when she knows it is time for a vet visit. Please

Handsome Jake and his fursister Katie were found outside a local Pet Smart by his future mom. One look into his eyes, and she knew the only thing she could do was bring them both home. Now, Jake is her personal protecter making sure to thoroughly check out anyone who comes into his home before he lets them near her. He also loves hanging out in the window and chatting with the birds as well as wrestling with his daddy. What he does not like is having his sleep interrupted and his nails trimmed. Oh, it sounds like you are having so much more fun now that you don't have to stay in your carrier! That's great to hear. We're so happy for you!

Guess what! This has been such a beautiful day! Perfectly blue sky, not a cloud in sight, a very nice breeze. Not nearly as hot as it's been all week. Only 78 today. Mom got so much done! First she fed all the rose bushes, then she watered the whole yard. A lot of it needs to be watered by hand.

Then she pulled a ton of weeds and trimmed some of the ivy. Then - best part! - she gave the dog a bath! She uses two big tubs in the yard filled with water. One is the wash tub, the other is the rinse tub. And THEN the dog got to go for a walk! That's so she can drip dry. Tomorrow doggie gets clipped. Haha! She always looks so funny after she gets shaved. Bet she feels better though, in the summer, without all that dog hair. Ick.

Please Vote Puzzle #256239 COTD on Monday June 3rd
Puzzle’s Mom went to County Services to meet this handsome boy. She sat in the kitty room for a very long time hoping to make a special connection with a kitty but sadly she didn't find what she was looking for, as she was about to leave they wheeled in a cart of kittens and there in the middle of them was Puzzle. He didn't take his eyes off of her so she plucked him out and he instantly gave her Nose kisses and of course she decided he would go home with her that day. He still blesses her with this loving gesture every day. Puzzle #256239 is very athletic and likes to jump long distances, although he is not always successful, Mom hears an occasional thud but he shakes it off and tries again!! He loves to hunt the birds, bugs & lizards outside the sliding glass door, occasionally one slips in and mom ruins his game by pitching the offender back out. He also has a stuffed buddy that he carries around with him, chattering away to it the whole time. He loves to play with his favorite toys Kickaroos, Cat Dancers & Charmers. He is very laid back and loves his fursibs ButtonBlue, Add-A-Line, Blondie & his best playing buddy Lolapalooza Lili, although he does get disgusted with her dunking all of his toys in the water fountain. K Leo and his sibling Mai Lin are two of the most cherished members of our CC family. They are always on hand to congratulate kitties who are celebrating. They console those who are sad, and they support all of the catpaigns and special events here on CC. They are very active in the Mouse Hockey League, promoting good sportsmanship and enjoying friendly competition.

We all fondly remember Leo’s Reign as King, which he won on his old account, along with two COTD badges. Now he has joined his presence on CC with Mai Lin and the two of them are very good friends to all of us. It is most assuredly time for all of us to join together to honor these two wonderful kitties with their own shiny new COTD badge.

HI everybody its Neekah Boo
Hi wr wanted to ask the kitty community to come together and say some prayer for the lost kittys and doggies still out there in Oklahoma. That they find their way home to there family's. Animal's have a way of surviving tragedies like this but tend to get lost in the mix. So if we could all keep our paws crossed and say a few prayers we hear know that some will be found. I know from a personal experience myself I lived in an apartment building that the entire first floor of the whole apartment build burnt down. I lived on the first floor with my two kitty's , Pookey Bear and Kitty. The fireman found Kitty right away but we were unable to find Pookey Bear until later the next day. She was found curled up in a closet were the worst smoke and water damage was. I thought I would lose her but she surprised us all and lived till she was a week shy of her 23rd birthday. So there is always hope. Thank you and God Bless those animals Love Neekah Boo & family

Recently a cat loving family had their red female cat, Angel Rhuby cross over the Rainbow Bridge. The cat mom of this family decided she would like to adopt another red female and as luck would have it, there was Rosie at the Petsmart Adoption Center. Rosie #252822 and her new mom bonded instantly and Rosie came to her new home that day. Rosie was at the shelter for over two months and was a bit wild. She didn't like being kept in a cage and would fight with the shelter workers when they tried to put her back in her cage. This was a big reason why Rosie #252822 wasn't adopted sooner; she was scared and the people looking at her were not patient with her until her new mom came along. Now at her new home Rosie #252822 is a cuddle cat with her daddy and loves to play with her brother Yogi. She gets along with the rest of her furry siblings and is a happy cat. Rosie #252822 will not eat dry food but she will eat any kind of wet food. She doesn't like dry treats either! Rosie loves to play with her furry mouse and the laser light. Rosie #252822 is happily spoiled now in her new home and we are very happy she has found a wonderful loving home. Rosie would be so honored to have a COTD badge to display on her page. Oh Neekah Boo
You are such a sweet kitty to be so concerned about our Dot. Here is her story:
It all started with me slowing down on my eating. Mom watched me for that week and by the next Sunday I would not eat at all. Mom was thinking that I had swallowed something that I shouldn't have. Mom called for an appt they did an X-ray. The vet thought he saw three objects inside of me and my colon and intenstines were very full and very distended and I was running a 103.6 temperature. So the X-ray was sent to a specialist to read. With the new digital X-rays they are able to see so much more than they used to be able to, so when we got the results there really was nothing inside except what was supposed to be.hehehe And a whole lot of something else, the Vet decided to help me get rid of it and I spent the whole day there being monitered. I was not feeling good and very flat after that. My temp stayed for a couple of days afterwards, but by Friday it was down and I was starting to feel better. By then I had spent two days at the vets and Mom wanted to give me break over the weekend. She was a nervous wreck not knowing what had caused all this in the first place so back I went last week for blood work. It all came back purrfect. So we had one of those kitty mysteries. They still have no idea what really happened but I am more back to myself now, although I am still not eating like I was before all this happened. An Update to this was Mothers day weekend & I ate everything mom put in front of me, Mom said it was the best present ever!!!
We hope your sisters paw is better and hope that your sweet mom gets some help to make her feel better too!!

This sweet kitty joined the angels in February 2013 after losing his battle with complications that developed after being hit by a car the month before. He’d survived having both legs broken & surgery, but was unable to walk & had to drag himself to the litterbox. He was very brave & stayed a very sweet boy during all of the pain, infections, examinations & becoming a foster; but the angels knew that his life would not be a full one with his disabilities & thus called him home. Aww, we are so very sorry to hear about your fur sister, Seska's poor little foot, then her hard time with her medicine, and about your mom's bone loss. We will be keeping them both in our prayers. How did you get cuts on your face, sweet kitty?
Don't worry, you and your family are definitely our furiends! And we care very much about you! Although we're sure your mom has some good friends who do care very much for her in the " outside" world too. Remember, you kitties have the important responsibility of making sure to keep your sweet mom happy and keep her spirits up, ok?

HI everybody its Neekah Boo
So im so sorry we have been away my mommy got some scary news and just didn't feel like taking to anyone. She went to the oral surgen just to have something checked when they told her she had major bone loss and to get to her doctor right away. Now she already has osteopeina. So when she heard that she freaked out. She has had some significant weight loss as well and some other health issues besides the fibromialgia going on lately. So of course turning into a internet doctor she comes up with the worst ideas in her head. I told her to stop worrying and wait till she gets to her own doc at the end of the month before she is all doom and gloom.

Ok on a happier note on my mommys birthday April 25th she got the best birthday present she could ever get in the whole wide world. I got my release paper!!! No more crate unless its 3am and im climbing the blinds, id never do that. I am having so much fun. This is so cool. The first werk I was just so happy to be out I got intouble a few times and ended up limping so mommy but me back in at night just so I would get some rest. Doctor (eeky vet) thinks in a year of so my limp will be gone. My mommy was very very happy to hear that but could not care a bit as long as I was happy and healthy. Then the next best thing I could ever imagine happened I took a little cat nap and when I woke up my crate was gone to be replaced by a covered litter box. I was so happy I just ran around the room more times than I can count. My next goal is, is to get down stairs. I have successfully snuck out a few times but my mommy always catchesme. I dont think she thinks im ready yet but I am! Im a big girl now im almost 8 months old and im ready hissey sister or not. I love her and I can wait. Im a very patient kitten I just stand my ground and look at her with my loving green eyes and let her know not to be afraid of a itty bitty little kitten. Hopefully she will love me soon.

I will get back to you all very soon I promise. I love you all so very much your so so kind. Keep your paws crossed my sisters back paw heals im very concerned for her and that I get out of my tower soob. My mommy said she should have it Neekah Boo proofed by the end of this week. HI everybody its Neekah Boo
Hi everybody sorry I was delayed my sister hurt herself and my mommy had been dealing with her. We don't know what she did but her back paw was all bloody red and swollen really upset and freaked out my mommy. She took her too the vet right away and tge wrap up her foot. Its looks silly cause the wrap says no on it. She also was supposed to wear this cone on her head too. My mommy made her wear it for one day and since Seska was really good about not chewing on her foot she took it of and still she didn't chew on her foot. But she did get locked up in my crate for 2 nighrs though. I hear she wasnt very happy . This happened last week and my sister still has her foot wrapped up. This is the second time she has hurt this foot so the vet is talking about declawing just the one pad if it continues to hurt her and cause her problems. Poor Seska im scared for her she walks around and shakes her foot all the time at least thatswhat my mommy says since im still locked up stairs in the tower.

She was hand picked for her new parents by her sister Wendy's breeder when she found out how sick Wendy was. But this sweet girl was already a mom so her new parents had to wait to bring her home. All of her kitties found their furever homes & then she had her Big Girl surgery. She was finally able to come to her new home in January. She wasn't sure if she wanted to stay at first, but her new parents gave her lots of love & support so we are happy to report she is settling in quite nicely. KAYLIN #251700 spends her days hanging out on Mom & Dads laps, playing with her toys, & napping in the sun. She also likes to tear through the apartment at top speed and has been known to do it in the middle of the night too. Her most favorite things to eat are the Roast Chicken that she shares with her parents, and her Blue food. She Loves to make new friends so won't you please stop and give KAYLIN #251700 your vote and make a new friend.

Hi Neekah Boo,
I am so sorry that we have not stopped in awhile sweet kitty. Well it all started with my birthday and then I won COTD, then came Mouses birthday and Our Dot got sick. Mom spent her week last week hauling her back & forth to the vets, trying to figure out what is wrong with her. She is getting better, but still gets tired out quick when she plays. So Tomorrow she will go back to the vets for a full blood work-up, maybe then they can figure it out. How is your sweet momma doing??? We hope that you all are doing OK!!! This week’s special recognition candidates were found on the side of a road near a wooded area when they were barely old enough to fend for themselves. Their guardian angel was working hard that day & led their new mom to the right spot where she picked up the three mewing furballs & took them home. These precious sibs have stolen the hearts of many CC members by mom’s picture postings on FB & it’s pawsome being able to watch them grow up here in our loving community. Colt and Winchester love to talk to calm Kimber down because she’s very shy, unlike her more outgoing sibs. They love to play with their mouse toys & frequently pick on their bigger sibs throughout the day to see how much they can get away with. You can often find this rambunctious trio of young felines looking out of the window talking to birds, or playing with their light up ball. They’re snugglers too! They’re often found in the lap of mom or grandpa or you can see them snuggling happily together in their kitty bed. The inseparable trio of COLT,WINCHESTER & KIMBER#251320, are also keeping the house hopping with their energy level so let’s help them bounce off the walls a little more by pouncing by to paw them a COTD vote today, Monday April 29th, so they can earn their very first badge of honor tomorrow!

Hi sweet baby...
we have fur friends in common (K. Steve, K. Mike & others). I saw your posting about eating all those strange and wonderful things. My person is an RN and so nosy...she has an opinion on everything -- well, she whispered in my ear and of course I remembered what happened when I was a kitten. I was having at least 20 stinky (horrible stinky) poo's a day and even though I was eating a normal amount of food, I was getting very fat and smelled like cornmeal. Mom Mom got to researching & found that my dry food was made mainly of cornmeal & corn byproducts (as are most cat foods). Corn also causes diabetes in us kitties. In humans when they are eating strange things they have a vitamin deficiency and quit when their body gets the things it needs. With that in mind, my Mom Mom started researching for a high protein food that I would eat and that would keep me healthy. She found "Rocky Mountain Call of the Wild," kibbles. I like the venison & salmon flavor but will eat the other flavor just as well. It's the only cat food I've taken too with the first bite on. It's a bit pricy, however, considering the protein to carbohydrate ratio, it's worth it. The smelly doo doo went away & my weight stabilized to a manly 20 pounds (I'm a Maine Coon & supposed to be this big) and I don't smell like cornbread. She gives me Meow Mix moist at night (the small container) to keep me regular (hee hee)...now ain't that a hoot...a Mommy interested in stuff like this. Please forgive me for butting in -- just hoped I could help in a small way. O.J.

Peek-a-boo! Are you trying to hide in there? Teehee! I'm so sorry your mom was sad about my story, but that is the way it happened. My mom was so sad she didn't get my other baby in time. But I have Grabby with me and I am very happy and grateful for that.

Okay, time for c/p. Hiss, spit! All mom's fault of course, for keeping busy on DC lately *shudder* We say let the dumb dog fend for herself....

You haven't been missing much though, thank goodness. We are still having our usual schizo weather, where it's nice one day and then we freeze the next day. VERY aggravating. We like nice weather - mom goes outside more and takes the stupid dog with her. :) AND we get to have the windows open, so we can relax with a fresh breeze while watching mom bust her butt digging in the dirt. VERY entertaining! MOL! Have a great evening. Hugs and loves.

Oh dear, you guys go thru what we do too. My mommy just turned 40 & got her MS at 20. She always gets guff for the handicap spot. She even had words with an old old lady who got nasty with her about being too young to be handicap. My feisty mom told her she can have the spot but to take the MS that goes with it. Ok she got quiet then MOL. My mom took disability too. Can't commit to anything because some days are so much worse than others. Our mom's are happy they have us to give them love & affection. It makes the hurt go away for a little while. I am a clown so I make mom laugh at least once a day, I can take one for the team no biggie :) We sure do know how your mom feels but you just keep telling her she is strong & she has you, that means so much.

I was so excited I was on Facebook's CC page. Can you believe they featured me? Mommy went on to thank everyone for all their kind words & nice things they said about me. I'm a good boy, I make some trouble but nothing bad. I never hiss at anybody, swat or growl & that makes mom happy. Kind of a laidback day. Mom had an early doc appt. She had to do a 6 month blood workup because of her MS therapy. It was a cuddle afternoon. We're leaving you today with a votey.
