Happy 2nd birthday Bailey!
Thank you for pawing by with such sweet ♫ Happy Adoptiversary ♪ wishes for me. It’s hard to believe that it’s been ❼ years already since Mommy brought me home. I was just six weeks old then.

Mommy & Nana had been feeding my Momcat Phoebe while she was preggers at an abandoned house. You can see a pic of my catmom Phoebe & my siblings Kirby, Riley & Oreo at the bottom of my page. Because I looked so much like my momcat with her pretty blue eyes, Mommy originally thought that I was a girl & she named me Chloe Blue. Silly Mommy! Mommy found my cat mom & 3 siblings wonderful, furrever homes, too.

Mommy didn’t know what MerryBelle and Sissy would think about getting a little brother. Well, MerryBelle liked me & “mothered” me, but Sissy STILL hisses and growls at just the sight of me, even 7 years later. She is just jealous because she is no longer the baby!

Psalm 127:3 says “Children are a gift from the LORD; they are a reward from him.” Mommy believes this, especially since we are her only children.

Hi Bailey!
'stuff' has been happening around here! So much,that I am way behind on my blogs! First,thanks on the well wishes for mom's mother...she is now out of rehab as of this past Wednesday,and at home. Then mom spent a lot of time deleting pages and making mew ones...the woman just can't make up her mind! Changes were also made in the cat enclosure! Dad shut off the down stairs part so he could plant some grass in it,but the boys are NOT happy about it! Brother Dixion is no longer confined to the enclosure,as he was so unhappy,he was getting very depressed and aggressive to the others,so mom let him out. Andy(inside boy) kept dashing out the door so much that mom let him GO!,because she feared he would trip her or dad up trying to escape! Now,we live out in the country,and WAY off the road,otherwise mom would never have let them out. Second,mom has an appointment with an orthopedic doc,as it seems she might have a torn meniscus in her right knee. She has had that surgery on the left,so knows the drill! Sorry for being so long-winded today,so I will wish you a happy Sunday and I am going to take a nap!~Purrs,Bart

Thank you so much for stopping by to visit me on my Adopti-Day and COTD Celebration. I'm so glad to make a new CC furiend. You look a lot like my older brother Shadow. Congratulations on your recent adoption too. We all know how special our furever family's are.

On my Adopti-Day, something quite unusual happened! One of the outside kitties that my Mama has been feeding for 10 months was in our heated cathouse in the garage with a one week old calico kitten. The funny thing was, Mama thought the Mother cat, Peek-A-Boo, was a boy kitty. She never got close enough for my Mama to tell otherwise. :) She named her Peek-A Boo because she always peeked around the corner at Mama. She noticed Peek-A-Boo suddenly put on a lot of weight and she suspected then that Peek-A-Boo was a girl cat instead of a boy. (no joke)! Then about a week later, Peek-A-Boo was skinny again. Mama figured that her kittens may have died. When Mama saw her, she was shocked to see Peek-A-Boo nursing a tiny baby kitten. Our Mama has never had to raise a kitten, so she hopes Peek-A-Boo will be a good Mom and keep her baby safe in our garage till she gets a little older. I guess Mama's got her work cut out for her now...hee,hee.

Thank you for coming to my Happy Birthday pawty. Mommy says it is hard to believe that I am ➐ years old already. It seems like just yesterday that I was a cute little six week old kitten, and now I’m all grown up & weigh over 15 pounds. No matter how big or old I get, I will always be Mommy’s little baby boy,

Happy St Patrick's Day! A Frosty +7 here!
Good morning friends. Thought we would try to make a round again on CC both of kitties we regularly visit and those new friends and some we don't know yet. Got to make this a c/p. We are still waiting to see if Zeus will have found his forever home. Spring has come and their are all lot more kitties on the streets that need rescue. no-kill rescues fill fast. Kill shelters are not a good option for us kitties anyway. That is why mom keeps doing what she does.

We are all well and healthy. The dogs have their physicals coming up April first--- April Fools dogs! When mom comes to pick you up from the vet, after staying there for Easter, they are not done with you! Shots coming up too, he-he. Think Handy Andy has a rabies shot due the end of April, but the rest of us are later in the summer.

The weather is still ice and snow here, with more snow coming this week--- will it never end? Sorry Barney still hasn't done any more stories, but promise we will work on that. Still have to get more pictures posted of our past kitties on the Inspiration page. Will try to label those too. Mom still has to do taxes and we hope that means a refund coming back-- we hope!

Now we are on our way to Pawty with Pushkin and all the other Irish kitties and then on to MHL mouse hockey tonight.

Glad to hear you are doing well. Our Andy also has a heart murmur, one reason he is staying with us and not being adopted out.

The person who was to become St. Patrick, the patron saint of Ireland, was born in Wales about AD 385. His given name was Maewyn, and he almost didn't get the job of bishop of Ireland because he lacked the required scholarship.

The Pagan Saint?
Far from being a saint, until he was 16, he considered himself a pagan. At that age, he was sold into slavery by a group of Irish marauders that raided his village. During his captivity he became a Christian and adopted the name Patrick.

He escaped from slavery after six years and went to Gaul where he studied in the monastery under St. Germain, bishop of Auxerre for a period of twelve years. During his training he got the notion that his calling was to convert the pagans to Christianity.

His wishes were to return to Ireland, to convert the native pagans to Christianity. But his superiors instead appointed St. Palladius. But two years later, Palladius transferred to Scotland. Patrick was then appointed as second bishop to Ireland.

Spreading the "Truth"
Patrick was quite successful at winning converts. And this fact rightfully upset the Celtic Druids, who had their own native religion. Patrick was arrested several times, but escaped each time. He traveled throughout Ireland, establishing monasteries across the country. He also set up schools and churches which would aid him in his indoctrination of the Irish country into Christianity.

His mission in Ireland lasted for thirty years. After that time, Patrick retired to County Down. He died on March 17 in AD 461. That day has been commemorated as St. Patrick's Day ever since.

Maewyn Myths
Much Irish folklore surrounds St. Patrick's Day. Not much of it is actually substantiated.

Some of this lore includes the belief that Patrick raised people from the dead. He also is said to have given a sermon from a hilltop that drove all the snakes from Ireland. Of course, no snakes were ever native to Ireland, and some people think this is a metaphor for the conversion of the pagans. Though originally a Catholic holy day, St. Patrick's Day has evolved into more of a secular holiday.

Symbolism
One traditional icon of the day is the shamrock. And this stems from a more bona fide Irish tale that tells how Patrick used the three-leafed shamrock to explain the Trinity. He used it in his sermons to represent how the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit could all exist as separate elements of the same entity. His followers adopted the custom of wearing a shamrock on his feast day.

The St. Patrick's Day custom came to America in 1737. That was the first year St. Patrick's Day was publicly celebrated in this country, in Boston.

Oh good! We were holding our breath about your ECHO. I'm glad it's good.No meds=no problem! My sister has to take three medications and she has end-stage hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and the vet is giving her 6-12 months. We treat every day with lots of love.

Hedley here. Good to hear that your echo cardiogram went well! You are a youngster, so you should have no problem living a good and long life! You have to see the vet in six months? Yeah, so do I, because I have a very mild case of hepatitis. I'm not at all contagious, and it is so mild it didn't show up on routine tests. Anyway, I have to take medication and see the vet in six months, too! Mol!
Just take real good care of yourself, Bailey, you'll be just fine!

EUGENE, OREGON WEATHER REPORT:
The temperature was high 59 & low was 45 this morning, now it's 58 with humidity 56% & wind is 13 MPH WSW. Friday's suppose to be Showers & High 60.

♥ Mom had to go do an errand then stopped at PetSmart on her way back home for another 40 pound box of ExQuisiCat Litter and a case of Friskies can food.

♥ Mom was going to do some more weeding in the front yard, but since it's suppose to start raining today, mom decided to mow the three foot high grass in the back yard instead. Guess who ran and hid when mom started up the mower???? Yep, it was all the outside kitties!!!! Tehehehe!!!!

♥ The growth on the middle of Whyskrs' 10378 back was bleeding again yesterday. Mom took a closer look at it to be sure it wasn't getting infected and seen how raw it looked. Mom cleaned it up and put some Triple Antibiotic Ointment on it.

Nice to meet you. Our Handy Andy also has a heart murmur. Nothing that mom can afford to do for him, except give him as much love as she possibly can. Right now he acts very normal and the vet does not think he is in pain. The vet said he may live a long normal life or it could be short, just have to put it in God's paws. Take care. ♥ Mom was awakened by Whyskrs 10378 about 1:00 this morning then again about 2:00 then mom heard growling on the baby monitor about 3:45 so mom got up and went to the back door to see Sylvester 11567 after Suezee 11528 as she was hiding under the BBQ cart. Mom went out there barefoot to make Sylvester stop which he did and walked away. Mom figured he was probably trying to act like a tom when he has no boy toys!!!! Tehehehe!!!! After all that was done and mom laid back down then Bahneetah was ready for some food, too, then it was Callie's 239447 turn.

♥ Mom and dad had their purr*sonal Bible Study today and Callie was putting up a little tissy then finally settled down. I was meowing and got fed, but meowed more after I ate then I finally went in on the bed harrassing Jazpyr 10428 so I got squirted with the water. Mom told me to leave him alone and go to sleep. Well, Whyskrs decided he wanted to lay on the window bed in the front room which Bahneetah was asleep on it so Whyskrs started fighting her. Dad had to break it up and made Whyskrs get down then dad put Bahneetah back in the window bed. Mom told dad that we must have Spring fever or something!!!!
