My favorite tricks and treats are: Not tricks, but there is a clock in his belly, he knows when it is breakfast time... 10:00 AM. He's also a high jumper, very high and loves tuna & always Fancy Feast
Where I hang out: mommy's lap, of course; if occupied by Chloe he has a huge basket he loves to nap inside.
My favorite grubs: Fancy Feast classics or medleys especially
My pet peeves: Thunderstorms, he hates toys that sing songs or play music. He even thru a singing christmas ornament in the garbage once. Also not fond of fireworks.
What I love about my owners: She's my bestest friend! She adores me & treats me like a king!

How We Met
I saw the breed online & fell in love. I found a breeder in PA, so I contacted Bengaland, saw their available litters & Armani jumped off the page. I had to have him. He is my heart & soul. The sweetest cat ever.

A Word With Whiskers – May 18
Heaven Is...

A man was riding his horse down a road, cat in his arms & his dog by their side. The man was enjoying the scenery, when it suddenly occurred to him that he was dead. He remembered dying, & that his horse, cat & dog had been dead for years. He wondered where the road was leading them. After a while, they came to a high, white stonewall along one side of the road. It looked like fine marble. At the top of a long hill, was a tall arch that glowed in the sunlight. Standing before it, he saw a magnificent gate in the arch, made from mother of pearl, & the street that led to the gate looked like pure gold. He nudged the horse toward the gate, & as he got closer, he saw a man at a desk. Once close enough, he called out, "Excuse me, where are we?"
"This is heaven, sir," the man answered.
"Wow! Would you happen to have some water?" the man asked.
"Of course, sir. Come right in, & I'll have some ice water brought right up."
The man gestured, & the gate began to open. "Can my furiends," gesturing downward towards his horse, cat & dog, "come in, too?" the traveler asked. "I'm sorry, sir, but we don't accept animals."
The man thought a moment & then turned his horse & dog back toward the road, cat in his arms & continued the way he had been going. At the top of another long hill, he came to a dirt road which led through a farm gate that looked as if it had never been closed. As he approached the gate, he saw a man inside, leaning against a tree & reading a book. "Excuse me!" he called to the reader. "Do you have any water?"
"Sure, there's a pump over there" The man pointed to a place that couldn't be seen from outside the gate. "Come on in."
"How about my furiends here?" the traveler asked.
"There should be a bowl & a bucket by the pump."
They went through the gate, & sure enough, there was an old hand pump with a bowl & a bucket beside it. The traveler filled the bowl & took a long drink himself, then gave some to his cat & dog while he filled the bucket for his horse. When they all were satisfied, he led his furiends back toward the man who was standing by the tree waiting for them.
"What do you call this place?" the traveler asked.
"This is heaven," was the answer.
"Well, that's confusing," the traveler said. "The man down the road said that was heaven, too."
"Oh, you mean the place with the gold street & pearly gates? Nope. That's hell."
"Doesn't it make you mad for them to use your name like that?"
"No. I can see how you might think so, but we're just happy that they screen out the folks who’d leave their best furiends behind."

the windows were finally
opened up around 1-2 and didn't stay but 3-4 more hours as it warmed up late and got cool earlier. mommy and master hate the cold and janet did get into shorts/sandals for 3 hours and then back into pants/tee shirt/socks/sandals again once she got cold. back to work through monday even if she's sick. she feels good right now energized and ready to go, but by the time noontime comes around she'll be ready for bed, so likely will sit outside reading again like yesterday and no garden work! sandy,ana,haley,angelsCome visit me, ana, haley, malachi is my boyfriend! whiskerscotm & sandy, angels, vote whiskers cotm!.

Molokai

Molokai residents farm, fish, hunt & gather many of their basic needs & they enjoy this lifestyle. Here we need to slow down, be less demanding, & respect the Molokai way of life. Molokai is the real deal. We are visiting the true Hawaii. We will enjoy & respect Molokai & her people.
Lining the northeast coast are the towering cliffs of the North Shore Pali. At 3,600 to 3,900 feet from sea base to top, they are the tallest sea cliffs in the world; their near-vertical plunge ends 2000 feet below sea level. We step cautiously to the edge to peek over. Whoa, that’s a drop! Later in the day, we do some ocean kayaking along the face of the cliffs; this is amazing beyond belief! We also discover secret, secluded beaches, sea birds, & cascading waterfalls which provide incredible, photogenic scenery
We then hike into the East End’s classic cathedral valley to see Hawaii back in time. It is believed ancient Polynesians settled in lush Halawa Valley as early as 650 AD. This area, half a mile wide and three to four miles deep, and blessed with beautiful vistas and towering waterfalls, is one of the island's most historic areas. Roughly two miles up the trail is the impressive, double-tiered 250-foot Moa’ula Falls. If you’re considering taking a dip into the pool, drop a ti leaf into the water first. Hawaiian legend says that a giant moo (lizard) lives at the bottom of the pool. If the ti leaf sinks, the moo is in no mood for visitors. If the ti leaf floats, it’s safe to enter. Our ti leaves are forming a veritable flotilla, and we slip gratefully into the refreshing pool. Soon we are splashing and playing like … well, kitties.
We have been invited to a luau by the residents of a small village near Maunaloa, birthplace of the hulu. After dining on succulent roast pig, and all the tasty side dishes, we are given grass skirts to put on for a hula lesson. Soon we are dancing and telling the stories of the island, looking almost like natives.

we did know about your mom's MS but didn't want to say anything until you or she did. mom and i are so sorry that your mom has to deal with the pain of MS. we don't get why nice people have not nice things happen to them sometimes but we've learned that life just is what it is and we can't always change everything that we would like to.thank goodness your mom seems to be a happy person by nature,that does more good sometimes than medicine. ahhhhh,the two of you are purr therapists! best therapists in the world if you ask me,MOL!
Puzzle and i are lap kitties too! mom says that whenever she takes a break and sits down that it's like she has cat magnets attached to her because we appear within seconds,MOL. we'll keep "butt butting" each other until one of us finally gives in and curls up on her legs,hahaha.

A Word With Whiskers – May 17

I’ll never be sure if it was wisdom or folly that struck that day, but I would think a little of both. We had been happily living with one cat for a couple of years, a fairly large black-&-white English Shorthair named Smedley. It was time for his annual exam & shots, so off we went to our local veterinarian’s office, puss in hand, or actually wrapped like up like an Egyptian mummy to save us from his dreaded claws.
“Ah!” Doc Pete said, with a twinkle in his eyes. “I’m glad you dropped in. I have a kitten out back that needs a home & I thought of you!”
Before I could stop him, his assistant brought out the tiniest marmalade tabby, weighing just over a pound, with a cast on his left front leg. He put him in my arms, looked up at me & said, “So what do you think?”
They say a sucker is born every minute & that was my minute. We took one look at the poor little thing & then at each other & we were done for. We found out that someone had broken his leg & tried to drown him in the nearest canal. A Good Samaritan had rescued him & brought him to the vet’s office.
“How will they get along?” I asked. “How do we go about introducing them to each other?”
“Oh, that’s no problem,” he said. “You just put him in a carrier, take him home, leave the carrier open & let Smedley think he is rescuing the kitten.”
Well, it sounded good. As per instruction, once we got home, we left the kitten in the carrier in the middle of the room. Then we sat back to watch. Smedley circled the box & growled deeper than I had ever heard him before. The kitten mewed plaintively while sticking a paw out of the holes in the side of the carrier. After about an hour, we decided to open the top of the carrier a little wider. Smedley walked up to the top, looked inside & was rewarded by a lightning strike from a small orange paw.
That was the last we saw of him that evening. I was convinced that the next morning would find us back at the vet’s office returning the little tyke. However, the next morning, we were in for a surprise. As I got up to put on the coffee, I saw the two of them curled up together on the sofa as if they were one cat with two smiling faces. From then on, Smedley watched over the little one as if he had given birth to him, and they went everywhere together.
Doc Pete was right!

and if you'd like to come to our sports day on tuesday next week you're more than welcome to come as our angel air can pick/bring you home again. got a pretty day coming in as janet's walked pepper, didn't bother with her longer one would've been great, but she's picked up what doctors are calling the sinus-allergy flu which is a sinus infection/cough/and the works. she missed the sore throat and is knocking on wood she'll miss out on the hacking cough too. is on zyrtec for the allergies and coricedrin hbp for the rest only doesn't take two pills one at a time and knows they're not gonna last through next week. she's working next 3 days as she did yesterday, only one day of sick time left and she's NOT going to use it up now. got 2 loads of wash to hang out and one is likely ready right now by the sounds of things so this will be the last entry for now. hoping you have a great day! sandy,ana,haley,angelsCome visit me, ana, haley, malachi is my boyfriend! whiskerscotm & sandy, angels, vote whiskers cotm!.

EUGENE, OREGON WEATHER REPORT:
The temperature was high 63 & low was 53 this morning, now it's 60 with humidity 69% & wind is 9 MPH WSW. Friday's suppose to be Showers & High 66.

♥ WOW!!!! What a MONTH of Adoptiversaries for our family, but luckily, That's All Folks!!!! Tehehehe!!!!
♥ I have been making sure I get lots of mom time everyday. I just love my mom so much!!!! I have been also sleeping by her feet the last week or so at bedtime which makes her real happy!!!!
♥ Mom went to PetSmart this morning to buy [2] 16 lb bags of Friskies Indoor; [3] 16 lb bags of Friskies Surfin Turfin; [1] 7 lb bag of Purina One Hairball; [1] 7 lb bag of Purina One Vibrant & Maturity & [1] 40 lb box of ExQuisiCat Litter. She got [2] FREE toys, too!!!!
♥ Well, mom is upset as my Feline Acne is coming back. She washes my face every morning after I eat my Fancy Feast can food and washes my food dishes alsmost every night before bed time.
♥ UPDATE: SASSEE 10605 seems to be doing better finally with not seemingly in so much pain like she had been due to her arthritis. Mom said the Dasuquin must be finally taking affect.
♥ UPDATE: SYLVESTER 11567 is no longer limping the last couple days. He will, however, will need to see Dr. Liz in a couple months for bloodwork to see how he is doing since his diagnosis of Early Kidney Failure in February.
♥ Mom and dad are set up for another yard sale starting Friday morning and ends on Saturday evening at 5:00pm so we may not get to visit everyone, but we will try!!!! Mom also changed my profile photo today.

What’s mew with you? I have WONDERFUL mews!!!! Dr. William called - my T4 by equilibrium dialysis thyroid test was NEGATIVE!!!! Thankfully that means I do not have hyperthyroidism.
I have decided that I really do not like to eat the Prescription Diet k/d canned food. I will eat the k/d dry but not the canned food. So Mommy has been busy researching other canned foods with low protein (less than 10%) for me. The crazy woman is also studying our food labels. Do I read the labels on all that junk SHE eats???
Tonight is my last dose of that nasty Clavamox for the UTI. After I have been off it for four days, Mommy will take my urine sample to Dr. William to be rechecked. Hopefully the UTI will be all gone.
Mommy & Nana have a meeting scheduled with Dr. William @ 9 a.m. this Caturday as they have a growing list of questions & concerns. Poor Doc! You would think they love me or something!!!

so glad that Chloe had a nice birthday yesterday. hope you didn't eat too much of her birthday dinner and left the last bites for Chloe,MOL. the weather has been so weird this year that it seems lots of the pawrents are having allergy problems. right now mom's car is covered with yellow yuck that mom said is pollen. it's everywhere! mom's already had several sinus headaches and a sinus infection this year. she's been working out in the yard a lot taking care of all the flowering trees and shrubs. mom hasn't talked to your mom about it, but she's read that she has health problems. you just stop by whenever your "typist" is up to it and don't worry about when you can't,we understand. leaving you sunshine & smiles

mom has been spending soo much time outside working in the yard and garden that none of us have been able to visit with our furiends...
mom is finally finished with her planting, though so now we can all sit back and relax..we hope..
gosh..we wnet from winter to a high of 101 yesterday..i think spring by-passed us, don't you?

I'll just invite myself over an have a little birthday cake with you and Miss Chloe :) Don't get up...I'm used to dropping in and making myself at home. In fact,hope you don't mind I took a little nap on your mom's pillow,used the shower and litter box. Hey,I left a dollar on the sink!
I Am SO,SO glad TOUCH is working with your mom!!! I knew they would at least try! They are very helpful on trying to maintain the patients on current therapy. Thats a rarity of most pharmaceutical companies...take full advantage of it! I'll go chill the champagne and wait for the word :)

A Word With Whiskers – May 15
CAT FUNNIES :) - Volume 1

A Cat Heaven -

One day a cat dies of natural causes and goes to Heaven. There he meets the Lord himself. The Lord says to the cat, "You lived a good life and if there is any way I can make your stay in Heaven more comfortable, please let Me know."
The cat thinks for a moment and says, "Lord, all my life I have lived with a poor family and had to sleep on a hard wooden floor." The Lord stops the cat and says, "Say no more," and a wonderful fluffy pillow appears.
A few days later six mice are killed in a tragic farming accident and go to Heaven. Again the Lord is there to greet them with the same offer. The mice answer, "All of our lives we have been chased. We have had to run from cats, dogs, and even women with brooms. Running, running, running; we're tired of running. Do you think we could have roller skates so we don't have to run anymore?" The Lord says, "Say no more," and fits each mouse with beautiful new roller skates.
About a week later the Lord stops by to see the cat and finds him in a deep sleep on the pillow. The Lord gently wakes the cat and asks him, "How are things since you arrived?"
The cat stretches and yawns and replies, "It is wonderful here. Better than I could have ever expected. And those Meals on Wheels you've been sending by are theeeeeeee best!!!"
The Cat Scan –

A man runs into the vet's office carrying his dog, screaming for help. The vet rushes him back to an examination room and has him put his dog down on the examination table. The vet examines the still, limp body and after a few moments, tells the man that his dog, regrettably, is dead. The man, clearly agitated and not willing to accept this, demands a second opinion.
The vet goes into the back room and comes out with a cat and puts the cat down next to the dog's body. The cat sniffs the body, walks from head to tail, poking and sniffing the dog's body and finally looks at the vet and meows.
The vet looks at the man and says, "I'm sorry, but the cat thinks that your dog is dead, too."
The man, finally resigned to the diagnosis, thanks the vet and asks how much he owes. The vet answers, "$350."
"$350 to tell me my dog is dead?!" exclaims the man.
"Well," the vet replies, "I would only have charged you $50 for my initial diagnosis. The additional $300 was for the cat scan."

Purrs from Patches & NICE Crew
I'm sorry I missed pouncing by to visit you yesterday sweet kitties. Mom has been busy getting things ready for human bro's 13th BD today so didn't get to CC or DC at all. Bad mom...MOL! Anyway, she's almost done with the only thing left to do being frost the cake & add sprinkles & candles. Tonight is also sis' final school band concert so things have been hopping around here. The end of school is always one of mom's busiest times & dad is generally exhausted when he comes home because the teachers, principal, etc. are wanting end of the year stuff taken care of. Pretty soon it will all be over & then the calmer days of summer break will be upon us, followed by big sis' wedding the first day of August. Mom says this year has flown since she's been so busy but I have to tell you that I think it's kept her out of mischief...MOL!
Well got to run so mom can run the sweeper monster & relax a few minutes before she thinks of something else to do, such as weeding the flowers again before it rains.
Have a purrfect day dear furiend & I'll meow again when I can.

My Dear Fur Friend ♥ Armani....
How are you, precious kitty? Is that your Mommy the one with you in the picture at the bottom of your page? She´s very pretty. We think that´s a lovely photo.
It´s raining outside but it´s not very cold. I´m watching through the window while Mom writes my kitty letters. The cars pass by with their lights over the avenue and people walks with their umbrellas. We tried to blog yesterday but CC was super slow.
Dad gave my Mom a new BlackBerry cell phone a couple of days ago and she´s been chasing us with its camera! She loves taking pictures of us. MOL! Mom tells not to close my eyes when she´s about to take a photo of me. Tee-hee!
Last night she caught me yawning in my kitty bed; I meowed at her to let her know a lady must be ready for a photo!
We´re waiting for Grandma to come back from work and have supper together. We´ll be helping Mom to cook in a little while.

what a surprise!
so glad that our mom's have Mother's Day for us to show how much we appreciate them and i was expecting the same routine as last Mother's Day and sure enough dad came out of the bedroom carrying a big basket . yep, there was the 3 dozen carnations (mom's favorite flower) from us kitties, and there was the card, box of chocolates, and bottle of mom's favorite Asti Spumante. ok, excitement was over. no, i was wrong............. mom was laughing as she was pulling something else out of the basket. i couldn't believe it! i blinked and rubbed my eyes and looked again. it was cans of tuna and a big bag of greenies!!!! Woooooooo Hoooooooooo, that was the best Mother's Day, ever!!!

It is quite funny watching kittens trying to nurse off grandpa WarCloud. WarCloud is my furdad and he simply loves kittens. He is so good with them that he lays down in the nest and cleans them and lets them try nursing off him. It is funny to watch. Oh he hugs them and even plays with them. Now me on the other hand don't want nothing to do with kittens. Oh being a uncle is great as long as I don't have to deal with the kittens. WarCloud is very loving and still attends to his daughters Shelby and Storm Waters. Now I like chasing and beating up my sisters. Hehehehe! Wishing your mom a Happy Belated Mothers Day! Thank you for your kind words, prayers & sweet thoughts. Like many of you, Mommy knows all too well about kidney disease. Her Dot passed away at the age of 17 from kidney disease & hyperthyroidism in October 2000. Mommy had hoped it would be a very long time before she was faced with this awful disease again. She will do her very best to give me the greatest care possible & lots of TLC.
I am eating the k/d canned and dry foods pretty well so far. Mommy says it is extremely difficult having one baby on a special diet. But we are doing our best with this situation & taking it one day at a time.
Thanks again for your prayers & concern. We really do appreciate it. Job 12:10 says “In God’s hands is the life of every creature.” We believe this to be true.

good morning!
it wasn't to bad although by mid afternoon the secondary cold front had gone through and temps started to drop, but janet didn't feel that till she went for a walk shortly before suppertime with natty. spent the early afternoon down on all 4's weeding which she likes to do when it's dry...was drying out still. will get the other half of the wedding done today. sports day is wed. this week. sandy,ana,haley,angelsCome visit me, ana, haley, malachi is my boyfriend! whiskerscotm & sandy, angels, vote whiskers cotm!.

Did I mention that mom helped rescue a Bengal mixed kitty through the Bengal Rescue? This has been a couple of years ago; mom actually helped transport this kitty and she also worked out a temporary foster locally. The lady who had agreed to adopt her changed her mind after mom got her to her temporary foster. Well, the temporary foster happens to be a longtime friend of mom's and ours--she's our trusted kitty sitter. Kara (name of kitty) ended up with our kitty sitter and is still there--and she's very loved. She meows, meows and meows some more. She out-meows an otherwise talkative Siameezer at same house. Our Michah is the meowiest kitty mom has ever come across. She always has something to tell mom and like your mom, our mom talks back. Not sure what the conversation is about though. I can tell that you would do well on the run-way and I bet that your mom could give you some pointers. Hope you gave your mom some well deserved pawmassage today.

Well,mom had the gbaby yesterday and today,so mom played with the G'baby a lot and dad rode her around in a little cart full of hay pulled by the lawn mower! She really loved that,and while mom waited for them to come back,I got lots of lap time and petting! Later,mom made triple chocolate fudge cupcakes,loaded the G'baby down with a couple,and is sending her home...hyper!,Hehe!! I love being a Bengal (Bengal cross, anyway). I am very loyal to my mommy and pretty much don't care about anybody but her. I know several tricks, including sit, paw, up, come, and I am learning "round and round". I also enjoy climbing trees with mommy and trying to eat her pet pigeon. Happy mothersday!
