Education: I've never owned a cat and she is my first. I use to think cats were sneaky and didn't care to be around people. Not Minx! She is extremely sociable and must be everywhere, in every room that I am. She even insists on sleeping in the same bed as me! She is extremely smart! She will use her little paw and open cupboards on her own and even close them after she's done looking around inside. This is sometimes frightening in middle of the night and hear someone (something) closing cupboards downstairs in the kitchen! LOL She even lets me hold her "cradle style" in my arms on her back and no fussing! Finally, she even lets me trim her claws once or twice a month without freaking out and always uses her scratching post! She truly is my buddy! She's never even had an "out of litter box" experience. Let's keep it that way Minx! Finally she even "mews" hello when me or my partner come home from work!
My favorite tricks and treats are: Yes! She plays fetch! Seriously! She will chase a fuzzy ball up the stairs and knock it back down to me with her paw! She also does this "thing" where she'll run up the first few steps to go upstairs and "give me five" by reaching out between the banister railings and swatting at me if I do it back! and She LOVES, I mean LOVES Deli cold cut ham! She could probably eat an entire piece but I give her strips now and then. She also gets tartar control snacks and feline greenies! She also goes nuts any time she hears the can opener or fridge open!
Where I hang out: Pretty much anywhere there is sun flooding into the room which is usually the patio. Most of the time however, it's anywhere that I am!
My favorite grubs: Cold Cut Ham from the deli!
My pet peeves: She runs away anytime she hears the sound of paper being crumpled up like a bag of chips when you are done and putting it away. BAM! She takes off like lightening and runs up the stairs til the "coast is clear" LOL. Her main enemy though is the Dyson Sweeper! Every time she sees it coming out the closet, under the bed she goes! Finally, she hates water. . .I broke her of "dinner begging" by keeping a squirt gun handy.
What I love about my owners: He spoils the living SHITake mushrooms out of me! He bought me a pink patent leather collar with rhinestone letters that spell out my name! He fills my water bowls (yes I have two, upstairs and downstairs) with ONLY Spring water and even puts ice cubes in them! During the pet food scare he took care to read every ingredient in my foods/snacks to make sure I wouldn't get sick. He gives me TONS of attention and love and treats me like his own child! I get snacks,a multi-vitamin and a full rub down and leaves the stereo on for me every day before he goes off to work. He usually even remembers to pull up the window blinds just enough so I can jump up to the ledges and day dream out the windows til he gets home. He even goes as far as to keep my "box" clean with silica gel (best stuff out there) so there's never any odors or any of that. His guests always comment how "they had no idea he even had a cat" due to no odors! Finally, I don't know of a day he doesn't go shopping and doesn't bring home at least ONE thing for me to eat or play with!
My cat hobbies: Minx loves lots of things: Her favorite has to be laying in the living room sun by the patio doors watching the birds fly in and out of my outdoor fountain/pond. She loves to chase "red spot" my laser pointer and goes nuts over anything that catches the sun or light and casts a reflection on the ceiling,especia- lly Compact Disks etc. She also loves to stalk me! Yes, stalk me! Her favorite place to attack me is when I'll be walking up the stairs expecting nothing when out of nowhere she pounces up onto a plant ledge near the stairs right by my head!
