How We Met

A friend found him and loved him, but since he already had six cats, he asked me if I would take him. Imagine my pleasant surprize when I first saw him. He was sitting so regally. I stared at him through the cat carrier window in total awe. His silver grey fur shone in the moon light and his emerald green eyes looked right into mine. We bonded instantly.

Hi Angel Wilson and family!
Yesterday was the 12th year crossing anniversary of our Mom’s doggie, Angel Ludwig. He crossed the Rainbow Bridge the same year we were born. On our stroller walk, we planted a Munstead Lavender plant by the creek in his honor. Mom does this every year. Not all the plants have survived, but this one is supposed to be very hearty in the sun. Mom also planted one in our backyard. They are cat-safe and are supposed to be a deterrent to insects, especially mosquitoes.

Our outside furry furiend Scamper is back to sleeping in the garage at night. He was a little wary of Mom at first, but he is back to rubbing her legs when she feeds him- a good sign.

Mom is house cleaning today. Luckily the sun is shining and all of us cats are more than happy to catnap in the backyard. We all slept with Mom last night- around her and even next to her head. MOL! Whitey kept giving Mom a tongue bath on her cheek that Mom finally had to pull the covers over her face! Hee, hee! I guess we better not try that in our Therapy Cat training sessions! (Note to self...cat tongues are like sandpaper on humans!)

We left a vote with soft purrs, warm hugs and prayers for our furiends and their families in need.

Here Kitty Kitty Kitty! =^.^=
~~~~~
You talk to me as if I'm three,
Coo and pinch my cheeks.
I'm not three, I'm ten,
a WOMAN in kitty years!
Must you scream,"NO NO Kitty,"
as if I'm deaf?
I'm not deaf,
I have you on IGNORE!
You insist that I love tuna,
faithfully fill my dish.
I don't like tuna,
come on where's the BEEF?
Seems you buy the silliest toys,
mice, feathers and such.
Then wonder why I shred the couch,
did ya think I might be BORED!!!
Why do you squeal in that high pitched voice,
"Here kitty kitty kitty?"
I've never come before,
I'm NOT coming this time!
Hi Angel Wilson and family!
We’re back, or I guess I should say our Mom is back! We sure did miss our CC furiends. We’ll be trying to play catch-up and read all the good stuff we missed.
Our GM is doing fine and she was very happy to have our Mom visit. Mom took GM to see her sister in Los Angeles who is battling cancer. “Aunt Lucy” was happy to see GM, but it took her a while to recognize my Mom and her brothers. It was both a sad and happy visit.
Meanwhile, back at our home in San Jose, Dad didn’t have the heart to tell our Mom that he had not seen our outside furiend Scamper for several days. As luck would have it, Scamper showed up in his cathouse before Dad had a chance to tell Mom the bad mews. Needless to say, our Dad breathed a sigh of relief! Somehow Scamper must have known Mom was coming home.
I did a great job helping my Dad take care of my fursisters- he said so! Mom thinks I look like I lost some weight. Mom is going to give me a week before taking me to see the vet. I did a couple of sprints up and down the stairs, just for Mom, but I can tell she has her eyes on me. Yikes!
We hope all our CC furiends are doing great. Now it’s time to read all about the fun we missed during Queen JoJo’s reign. My sisters and I were going to be mad at our Mom for leaving us, but now that she’s home we decided to forgive her. We missed those belly rubs!
We left a vote with soft purrs, warm hugs and prayers for our furiends and their families in need.
FINAL REWARD =^.^=
~~~~~
Max was an only cat,
Content to be alone,
But a stray appeared in the yard
Now Smokey has a home.

"Two cats are quite enough,
And that's my final word!"
But another stray appeared,
Now Peanut is our third.

On that final judgment day,
I'm sure it'll be my fate,
To find a little stray
Beside the Pearly Gate.

Hi Angel Wilson and family!
We’re trying to play catch-up today. Yesterday morning as Dad was leaving for work, Mom noticed his van had a flat tire. Luckily we have two other cars, so off Dad went, leaving Mom to fix the problem. Easy enough, right? Wrong! Mom used the air compressor that plugs into the cigarette lighter to pump up the tire before taking the van to her mechanic. When Mom went to start the van, the battery was dead! Ay! So Mom called her AAA insurance for help. The nice man jumped started the van and put air in the tire. He said the battery in the van probably went dead after Mom used the air compressor. He said she should have had the car running when she used the compressor, but the car battery probably needed to be replaced.
So finally at the car mechanic, it was discovered the tire valve stem was leaking and after further inspection, all 4 tire valve stems needed to be replaced...and the van DID need a new battery. So Mom finally got home where we are all catnapping.

Then Mom got a call from her brother in San Diego with the sad mews that their Aunt, our GM’s younger sister, has been moved to a hospice. She’s been battling cancer for a few years now, but unfortunately she is losing the fight. GM’s sister lives in Los Angeles, a two and half hour drive from San Diego. So Mom is planning to fly down to San Diego Friday night, then rent a car there so she can take GM to visit her sister. Our GM is old and doesn’t like to travel, but she wants to make the drive. So we’ll be offline until Mom gets back home, probably next Wednesday. Dad will take care of us, but Mom also called the cat sitter we like, so she’ll come by once a day to help out.

We left a vote with soft purrs, warm hugs and prayers for our furiends and their families in need.

Once in a lifetime, a special pet,

A strong connection you feel is deep,
You know instantly, this one you'll keep.

Something mysterious from the start,
This wonderful pet, has stolen your heart.
Over time together you grow,
No need for words, a look and you know.

Hi Angel Wilson and family!
We hope you all had a nice weekend. We had hot temperatures here and today should be in the high 80’s! Then hopefully the rest of the week will cool down some.

Our Dad’s brother came over on Sunday to help our pawrents with their grandson George’s room redecorating. Mom was happy to have his help since he is very handy with home improvements, unlike our Dad. MOL! Dad is good at supervising. Hey, he must be part feline!

Mom went for her recheck at the doctor this morning and she is doing fine. Thanks for all the get well wishes and prayers from our CC furiends. We are furever grateful to all of you.

Hi Angel Wilson and family!
It’s going to be a nice day in the low 80’s today, tomorrow even warmer. Mom and Dad took Callie and me out for a walk in our stroller. Mom is almost back to 100 percent better, still moving kind of slow, but feeling much better. She sees her doctor on Monday for a follow-up. We fed the ducks and filled the water bucket. Lots of people were out walking their dogs. We were glad to get back home where it’s quiet in the backyard so we can catnap the day away.

Our outside furry furiend Scamper is doing fine. He’s checking out the inside of the cat carrier more and more, so Mom is feeling confident that she’ll be able to trap him soon. Keep your paws crossed!

We were so sad to hear about Katie Louise and Jake Matthew Brown, both being called back to Heaven this week. Our hearts and prayers go out to the Brown Six Pack Furramily. We take solace in knowing that our two dear furiends are at peace with God and all our beloved CC Angels.

We left a vote with soft purrs, warm hugs and prayers for our furiends and their families in need.

A CIRCLE OF FURIENDSHIP & PRAYER =^.^=
~~~~~
A circle of furiendship and prayer…
is bound together,
by sharing good moments
and life’s stormy weather;
And should you feel lonely…
you needn’t pretend;
surrender your false pride
and lean on a furiend.
A circle of furiendship and prayer…
is a growing delight;
it helps dispel sadness,
as it lets in the ‘light.’
A circle of furiendship and prayer…
warms you in its glow;
take that warmth with you
and feel the ‘love’ grow.
You stand in a circle…
with paws reaching out;
the giving of yourself,
is what furiendship and prayer is all about!
Hi Angel Wilson and family!
Happy Furday CC furiends! This morning when Mom went out to the garage to feed our outside furiend Scamper, he was sleeping inside the cat carrier that Mom set up to get him familiar with. Of course he quickly ran out, but this is a good sign. The cat carrier has a soft bed inside, but now Mom is going to start putting treats inside the carrier when she is out there talking to him. She just might be able to trap him soon!
The sun was shining today and it was very windy. No stroller walks for us yet, but Mom is hoping to try this weekend. She feels much better and goes back to see the doctor on Monday. Yay! Sunday is supposed to be in the 80’s- good day to be outside. Have a great weekend!
Lord I'm so glad that you made me a Cat
I eat on demand and I'm getting quite fat
A home I have found, and I'm very content
Every things free, I don't even pay rent
I sharpen my claws on the leg of a chair
And when I'm tired I just sleep anywhere
If I want something and I want it right now
I get it every time with a simple Meow
The man said I'm wild and I'll never be tame
Now I wee next to the toilet and he gets the blame
SO when I go to Heaven and we have a long chat
I'll take nine more lives, and come back as a CAT.
Hi Angel Wilson and family!
We got some rain this morning. It only lasted for a few hours, but it was coming down hard enough to wake us up. Now the sun is out and we are expecting the temps to go up for the rest of the week. Our Dad has been feeding the ducks and filling the water bucket by the creek for us until Mom feels strong enough to start our stroller walks again. My sisters and I have been sunning in the backyard while Mom continues house cleaning in slow motion. MOL! We’d lend her a paw but we’re saving our purr therapy sessions for the evenings when Mom needs us the most.:)
We apologize for not making it to see all our furiends yesterday. We did our usual voting, then Mom laid down and fell asleep. We curled up with her and didn’t have the heart to wake her up. We hope you all are having a wonderful Thursday!
Please Pass the Grass =^.^=
~~~~~
My cat thinks that grass is yummy.
She goes outdoors to fill her tummy.
Every time I’m near the door
She meows to go and get some more
It really isn’t good for her.
She loves it though, it makes her purr.
Helpless, I do whatever asked,
No matter the time, no matter the task.
Breakfast at five, a head scratch at dawn,
I’m her slave, I’m her pawn.
I always give in when she gets the urge,
I let her have at it, though I know she’ll regurg!

Hi Angel Wilson and family!
Just a quick meow to let you all know we are doing fine. It’s a cloudy, overcast day, purrfect for curling up with our Mom. Mom has been doing some light house cleaning, but my sisters and I are making sure she takes lots of breaks. We are all actually enjoying the extra attention!

We are all very sad that our dear furiend Jesse was called back to Heaven, but we were glad to hear Jesse was in his sweet Momma’s loving arms when he became an Angel. We like to believe “God’s finger touched him, and he slept.”

What Is A Cat? =^.^=
~~~~~
A cat is a special gift from God
just a simple ball of fur
who will let you know he's happy
when he thanks you with his purr
He will cuddle in your arms for warmth
and sometimes lick your hand
or ignore you and just walk away
he knows you'll understand
He has a special language
that he uses now and then
to let you know just what he wants
and how and where and when
His meow has many different sounds
and, depending on their rhyme,
he'll say. 'Can I go out', 'Can I come in'
or, 'Is it suppertime? '
He can pester you forever
and then say something sweet:
'If I don't scratch the furniture,
will you give me a treat? '
And as your cat gets older
you worry every day
he's not as strong as he used to be
should I let him out to play?
Or keep him in and cuddle him
and let him know I care
that if anything bad happens to him
that's a loss I could not bear
When he gets sick you'll care for him
the very best you can
and when he dies you'll cry for him
and ask 'Is this God's plan? '
Yes, your cat is a gift from God
just loaned to you for a while
to help and make your life complete
so remember him and smile.
And thank God for that special gift
your little feline friend
and let God know you loved your cat
until the very end.
Hi Angel Wilson and family!
We’re back! Well, almost. Mom is recovering nicely from her sinus infection, taking her medicine like a good human (MOL!) and my sisters and I are taking good care of her. She is moving kind of slow, even for Mom; but with my help, we hope to send meows out to all our furiends. Your get well wishes and prayers have been very much appreciated.
My sisters and I are doing fine and our outside furry furiend Scamper is doing great too. We had some rain this weekend and Scamper has been sleeping in the garage at night. Hooray! Scamper has even started to get used to our Dad’s voice. He no longer runs for the hills when he hears him.
How are you doing today? It has been a while since we have gathered together for a visit to all of our friends and families to sprinkle them with Angel Dust. So, let's meet at the Angel Dust Caverns and fill our bags. Then we can visit all in need and offer our prayers and support. Then we can come back to my cloud for coffee/hot cocoa and cake or cookies. And, perhaps some card games. A nice way to end the day. I hope you can come. Purrs of love, Q. Angel Misty...
Hi Angel Wilson and family!
The temp is expected to hit 92 degrees here today. Yikes! Luckily the cat house for our outside furiend, Scamper, is on the side of the house that gets the most shade. Mom will keep the water bowls filled with ice during the day. This morning we went for a short walk in our stroller to fill the water bucket up and feed the ducks. Yes, there is still water running in the creek, but it gets lower every day. The good mews is that we are expected to drop back to the 60’s tomorrow and we might even get some rain this weekend. Crazy weather!
Mom’s head cold is much better. She has a cough now, but her body aches are gone. Guess our purr therapy worked! Thanks for all your get wishes. CC furiends are the best.
We were so sad to learn this morning that our furiend King Bennie has become an angel. K. Bennie was one of our very first furiends on CC. My Mom remembers when she traveled to N. Carolina to be with her stepson and his wife after they had baby George. Mom was there to help out, only she didn’t have much experience with babies. K. Bennie’s Mom Jenny, who lives in S. Carolina, gave my Mom her phone number to call when she needed advice. Such a wonderful, loving family. Our hearts go out to them. K. Bennie was quite a character.
Hi Angel Wilson and family!
The test results for my urinalysis that was done yesterday are the same as the last one. There is still a trace of red blood cells that keep showing up, but the vet said as long as the numbers don’t go up, then I’m okay. Dr. Natt said to keep eating my prescription food and for Mom to keep an eye on my litter box habits. No privacy around here. MOL! My weight seems to fluctuate between 12 and 12.5 lbs, so that’s okay too. My next vet visit won’t be until the end of May. Hooray!
Our Mom is feeling better from her head cold, but not energetic enough to continue painting the guest room. We’re giving her lots of purr therapy and in return we are all getting a lot of belly rubs. It’s a win-win situation. :)
Our outside furry furiend Scamper is doing fine. Since the weather has been warm, he has been sleeping in his cathouse at night. Mom still has not been able to get close enough to pet him, but she spends time talking to him every day and he seems to be more comfortable around her.
Hi Angel Wilson and family!
It was a gloomy, overcast day yesterday. No stroller walks for us this weekend since our Mom didn’t feel well. Our Dad was nice enough to fill the bucket by the creek with water in Mom’s absence. She has a nasty head cold but is finally feeling better today. Good thing cuz she has been praying it would not turn into a sinus infection. That is always her big fear now since she landed in the hospital last year because of that. We’ve been taking good care of her, catnapping on the bed next to her.
I had an appointment at the vet this morning to give another urine sample. I was a good boy when my Mom put me in the cat carrier. We didn’t have to wait long at the vet. My vet takes the sample from my bladder with a needle now, instead of making me wait there all day until I give it up on my own. It doesn’t hurt too much and Mom is always there to hold me.
We’re going to try getting caught up on my meows today. Mom is going to take one more day off from painting the guest room- Dad’s orders! Our Dad went back to school today as spring break is over. We are expected to hit 90 degrees on Wednesday (Gasp!), and then back to the low 70’s the very next day. What’s up with this crazy weather?!
We apologize for the short meow. Mom is working on painting the guest room for her grandson’s visit and our Dad is off from work, so not too much time left for us cats. Humph! It’s getting harder and harder to get reliable help around here. MOL! This morning our Mom woke up with a sore throat and stuffy nose. She’s hoping it’s just allergies and not a cold.:(
Hi Angel Wilson and family!
Not too much going on with us cats today. Mom had a dental appointment this morning to fix her new crown that came loose. (and we don’t mean the CC royal crown. MOL!) After my pawrents went on a long hike yesterday, Dad’s ankle was a bit sore, so he stayed home to rest with all of us. Now Mom is back to decorating her grandson’s room. While she is painting, the room is off limits to us. Mom put up a doggie gate at the door to keep us out. Humph! We don’t want to go in there anyway. Mom has plastic sheets laid out everywhere and we don’t appreciate the strange noises. MOL!
Mom picked out a paint by Benjamin Moore that is supposed to be allergy friendly. According to the sales guy at the store, the paint is eco-friendly and most important to Mom, no harsh fumes. Who knew? Mom chose a soft blue color called Northern Air Blue.
It was a nice mid 60 degree day today. We were all outside on the deck and our furiend Scamper is doing fine, last seen sitting on top of his cathouse.
We left a vote with soft purrs, warm hugs and prayers for our furiends and their families in need.
Hi Angel Wilson and family!
It was a chilly 39 degrees this morning, so no stroller walk for us. Mom and Dad went out on a hike by themselves to a nearby park. The trails are in the hills surrounding where we live; much too treacherous for our stroller. Our pawrents haven’t hiked those trails since our Dad broke his ankle a couple of years ago. He did really well. His ankle only seemed to hurt when they walked downhill. The uphill climbs were no problem. They saw a few deer and many streams with running water. It was beautiful! We told our Mom, next time she can carry us in her backpack. NOT! Hee, hee! Us cats were able to catnap in the backyard while they were gone. And we were all well behaved. Mom didn’t come back to find any bird feathers on the deck. MOL!
Mom is getting ready to paint the guest room. Dad helped her move everything to the center of the room and she is going to start with a primer on the walls first. Everything is covered with sheets and plastic, so Mom let us check the room out. They went to Home Depot last night and got everything Mom will need. Dad doesn’t like to paint, but Mom can always use him when she needs a strong arm. Guess that leaves us out too!
It sounds like your family had a delicious Easter dinner too! Key lime pie for dessert?! Yummy!
Hi Angel Wilson and family!
We hope you all had a wonderful Easter celebration yesterday. Our Mom made a turkey dinner with all the fixings and our neighbors, Abarna and Ganesh came over to share with us. Abarna also cooked some fillet of sole. She even prepared two fillets just for us cats (no spices, but still delicious!) Mom cut up some on a plate for our outside furiend Scamper and when she checked a few minutes later, the plate was licked clean! We all had a great holiday!
Our Dad has the week off from school for spring break, so him and our Mom will be working on getting the guest room ready for their grandson George when he comes to visit in the summer. George likes to play with dinosaurs so Mom is decorating his room with that motif in mind. Mom and Dad are also catifying the room with cat climbing shelves on the walls. That way us kitties can play in his room when we want to and also have a quick means of escape from his reach- just to be safe!
Two Little Kittens =^.^=
~~~~~
Two little kittens, one stormy night,
Began to quarrel, and then to fight;
One had a mouse, the other had none,
And that’s the way the quarrel begun.

“I’ll have that mouse,” said the biggest cat;
“You’ll have that mouse? We’ll see about that!”
“I will have that mouse,” said the eldest son;
“You shan’t have the mouse,” said the little one.

I told you before ’twas a stormy night
When these two little kittens began to fight;
The old woman seized her sweeping broom,
And swept the two kittens right out of the room.

The ground was covered with frost and snow,
And the two little kittens had nowhere to go;
So they laid them down on the mat at the door,
While the old woman finished sweeping the floor.

Then they crept in, as quiet as mice,
All wet with the snow, and as cold as ice,
For they found it was better, that stormy night,
To lie down and sleep than to quarrel and fight.

Hi Angel Wilson and family!
We apologize for not making all our meow rounds yesterday. My pawrents just found out that their grandson George will be spending the summer with us, so my Mom is already busy transforming the guest room into a room a little boy will love. George’s pawrents are going through a rough patch in their marriage, so having George spend some time with us should be good for him and also give time to his Mom and Dad to work out their problems. My Mom is looking forward to turning her grandson into a cat lover, with our help of course. Hee, hee! Should be fun!

Normally our Mom goes to San Diego to celebrate Easter with GM and her siblings, but she decided to visit GM after my next trip to the vet in the first week of April. Mom worries about me and she’ll feel better leaving us with our Dad once I have another good checkup at the vet. So for Easter dinner, Mom is preparing a turkey feast for us. Yay! I like my turkey chopped up very fine with just a touch of gravy please. MOL!

We hope you all have a blessed holiday with your loving families. We're keeping our paws crossed that it doesn't rain for you guys on Easter. No fair!

Hi Angel Wilson and family!
It was a cold 40 degrees this morning when we took our stroller walk, so Mom heated up our Snuggle Safe heated pads and off we went. Lots of birds to feed and the ducks are in Heaven when we stop to feed them. The creek is still running nicely. Yay! The rest of the week will be in the low 70’s but one weatherman on our local station predicts April will be a wet one. That would be wonderful for our drought situation! We have our paws crossed.

Wow! That's a lot of computer updates your Mom had to do. Poor Mom. We're glad she got through it, but we know it was no fun at all!

Hi Angel Wilson and family!
It was a chilly morning on our stroller walk today, but the sun was out and there were quite a few humans out walking, jogging and biking on the trail. We think it might be because a lot of kids have Easter break this week. Our Dad doesn’t get Easter break until next week. Then he gets a whole week off. The creek is still flowing nicely and the ducks are very happy.

Mom is continuing with her spring-cleaning, which we hate, but as long as the sun is shining, we’re all happy to catnap in the backyard. Our outside furry furiend Scamper must have caught a bird this morning because there were feathers in the front yard when we got back from our walk. Scamper wasn’t around, so he must have been sleeping it off somewhere else. Mom cleaned up the feathers, but couldn’t find a body, so maybe the birdie managed to escape. :(

There have been a few birds taunting us cats in the backyard, but Whitey is the only one who seems interested. And whenever Mom hears the birds making a lot of noise, she always comes outside to make sure we’re not up to no good. Sheesh! No fun at all!

We left a vote with soft purrs, warm hugs and prayers for our furiends and their families in need.

Hi Angel Wilson and family!
We were without a computer all weekend! What a nightmare for all of us. We’d been having problems with our internet for a while now and the AT&T people couldn’t seem to fix it, so our Mom called for help from her step son in North Carolina. He is a computer techie and he had originally set up my pawrents computer room many years ago. To make a long story short, he was able to walk my Mom (over the phone) through setting up a new internet gateway box, a firewall and set up a mew wi-fi system in our house. Now everything is working again, but it took my poor Mom all weekend. She had a big headache by Sunday evening, but we were all happy to have everything back up AND working! Whew! Now time for us to get caught up. We hope you all had a nice weekend.:)

Hi Angel Wilson and family!
Our Mom took Callie and me out for our stroller walk this morning and what a difference the weather is from yesterday. It was foggy and overcast but we’re still expecting to hit a high of 67 degrees today. Our outside furry furiend Scamper was asleep inside his cathouse this morning and he was still snoozing when we got back. Scamper spent another night in the garage. It gets chilly at night and he seems to like his heated bed. Scamper has made a habit of rubbing against our Mom’s legs while she sets his food out and changes his water bowls, but every time she bends down to touch him, he cringes and backs off. At least he doesn’t try to scratch her any more.

We are all doing fine. Mom needs to go to the vet today to pick up more of our prescription cat food. We’re hoping she makes a stop at Petco since it is on the way. MOL! We can’t have as many treats like we used to, but hey, we can always use a few more cat toys!

We hope you have a wonderful, relaxing weekend.

Hi Angel Wilson and family!
Happy St. Patrick’s Day! Make sure you’re wearing something green today. You don’t want to get pinched! Just let my fursisters try. MOL! We were curious how the ‘pinching’ tradition got started and here’s what we found...

“Nobody knows how that tradition got started. Some speculate that this American tradition stems from the fact that pinching results in a green bruise, while others attribute it to a myth that wearing green makes one invisible to leprechauns. They maintain that the pinch serves as a reminder to be careful of the wily creatures who can be dangerous.”

I’m wearing my green shamrock name tag, just in case!

Mom and our neighbor Abarna took Callie and me for a walk in our stroller this morning. The sun is out and is supposed to get to 77 degrees today. Luckily we are expecting a little bit of rain on Sunday.

Hi Angel Wilson and family!
Cat Channel is playing tricks on us today. We keep getting blogs from last week and when we try to leave our meow, we get the “Service Unavailable” message. Yesterday the website was down in the late afternoon, so maybe they are working on it. We can only hope!

It looks like the rain is over for us, at least for the rest of the week. We’re expecting to be in the 70’s. The creek is running and the trees all look very happy. Too bad it can’t last, at least for a while longer. Even our front lawn looks green again.

Mom is house cleaning and washing our cat bedding today. My sisters and I will be catnapping in the backyard today. Callie still has not forgiven my Mom for the antibiotics last week, but she does seem to be coming around. She hasn’t wanted to sit on Mom’s lap yet, but she is giving Mom headbonks on her legs.

Our outside furry furiend Scamper spent the night in our garage, but he was very anxious to get out this morning. My Mom fed him first, but as soon as the garage door went up, Scamper was out like a flash. Mom is hoping he comes back! Keep your paws crossed.

(Update on Scamper...) He came back! When Mom went out to the garage to continue the laundry, Scamper was laying down in his heated bed! What a surprise! Mom quietly came back inside. The laundry can wait!

Hi Angel Wilson and family!
It has been raining like crazy all morning. Hooray! No stroller walk for us today, so Mom and Dad went to check out the creek by themselves. It is full, but no flooding concerns yet. The ducks are happy and were even happier when Mom took them some duck food.

Last night Mom was able to close the garage door with our outside furry furiend Scamper inside! Scamper was all the way in the back of the garage where Mom has his bed and litter box set up. Since it was raining, Mom had the garage door open just a few inches, enough for Scamper to come inside if he wanted. So when Mom went to check on him and saw he was inside, she quickly shut the garage door all the way. At first Scamper stayed behind the washer and dryer, but later, he was sleeping in his heated bed. He still won’t let Mom touch him, but boy of boy is Mom making headway with the big guy!

Our internet has been off and on all day today. We’re not sure if it’s a problem again with our DSL line or maybe just the stormy weather.

Hi Angel Wilson and family!
We apologize for not meowing to our furiends yesterday. Mom’s fault! She took the afternoon off to get her hair done. Humph! The rest of the afternoon we had a technician from AT&T come out to our house to check on the problems we’ve been having with our internet. Of course the internet was working fine while he was here, but he did replace the DSL/phone box on the wall. Other than that, he really didn’t do much. We shall see. A few of our neighbors said we should change to cable. That seems like the next best option if this doesn’t work out.

My sister Callie had her final dose of the awful tasting antibiotics last night. But not without one last protest. Mom had to search the house for her, just starting to panic when Mom looked up to the highest bed in one of our cat trees, thinking it was me sleeping up there. No one else ever dares to go up that high. But you probably guessed; it was Callie! Hee, hee! Mom had to get the small stepladder to get to Callie. Whew! Callie is still mad at Mom, but she’ll figure out soon enough that the medicine is just a bad memory now!

We’ve been getting a lot of rain all morning, so no stroller walk for us. Mom took a short walk by herself to check out the creek. It is really going strong! Mom fed the happy ducks, then headed back home. It’s a good day for us to catnap in our window sill beds and watch the rain!

Hi Angel Wilson and family!
My fursis Callie is almost done with her antibiotics and not a minute too soon. This morning when it was time for her meds, she started to have dry heaves, even before the medicine! Mom felt so bad for her. Mom waited an hour before trying again.

We had a little of rain this morning, but now the sun is out and it’s cool and breezy outside. Mom is leaving the garage door open during the day now to see if Scamper can learn to come inside. She set a bowl of kibble inside and is working on coaxing him to come in to eat. Mom thought Scamper might like to play with a cat toy. She took one of our “Da Bird” fishing poles, but Scamper ran away frightened. He thought Mom was throwing something at him. MOL! She’s going to try rolling some catnip stuffed balls towards him later. Baby steps! Mom just better not take away any of OUR cat toys! Hee, hee! I know, be nice Whiskers!

Hi Angel Wilson and family!
We had more rain and wind last night, but this morning the sun is shining. It’s a bit chilly though, in the 40’s, but purrfect for a walk in our cat stroller. The creek by the trail is really flowing. Hooray! There were more ducks to feed and they all looked so happy. We wish it could last!

Our Mom took our neighbor Abarna to her doctor’s appointment today so we had the house to ourselves. Mom left the cat door to the backyard open so we could sit in the sun if we wanted to. Of course when she came home, we were all catnapping in our window beds. MOL! We like to fuss about going outside, only when Mom is home!

After Abarna’s doctor appointment at Kaiser Med Center was done, which went fine, there was a Farmer’s Market and food court on the hospital grounds. It was great! Mom and Abarna ate delicious vege burgers on fresh baked wheat buns. Mom loved it and is going to try making some vege burgers for Dad. She got some great recipes and just maybe she’ll be able to fool Dad! Mom got to visit with Ebony and Sugar Bear. Both cats are doing great! Sugar Bear is so cute! She is a tiny black fluffy furball, full of energy. She must be one of those cats that stays small furever. She has the fullest fur coat Mom has ever seen and always has a goofy look on her face that always makes Mom laugh! Ebony is the complete opposite. He looks like a sleek panther and Ebony still jumps into our Mom’s arms when she visits. He weighs 16.5 pounds and he is all muscle! Abarna says he catnaps a lot during the day, but at night he does his exercise up and down the stairs. Abarna and her son Ganesh say it doesn’t bother them at all since their hearing isn’t great. Abarna and Ganesh are great pawrents!

Hi Angel Wilson and family!
We got a lot of rain last night. Hooray! It was windy too for a while. Mom did leave the garage open just enough for Scamper to get in if he wanted to. Mom set up a couple of cat beds inside, one heated, and it looks like he might have used one last night. Mom found cat hair in the heated bed, but Scamper was asleep in his cathouse this morning when she fed him. Mom still can’t pet Scamper, but he seems less wary with each passing day.

The creek by our house is flowing nicely. A few ducks were there swimming when we took our stroller walk. We fed them and scattered some bird seed for the little birds along the trail. We’re expecting scattered showers today and more rain later this week.

We weren’t sure what to expect when logging onto CC today, but everything seems to be up and running, except for our COTD still missing. We’re just happy CC is still here. We wish it was furever!

Hi Angel Wilson and family!
Whoo hoo! We were finally able to get back onto CC! We have our paws crossed that it is back to stay. Mom hasn’t backed up my CC pages for about a month, so you know what she is doing right now. MOL!

We got a lot of rain and wind on Saturday, all the way into the early morning. We need it badly, but does it always have to come fast and furious?! Oh well. The creek is running once again, but can still use a lot more. We’re expecting another storm this evening.

Our outside furry furiend Scamper is doing fine. The outside cathouse is in a good spot on the side of the house, where it is protected from the wind. Mom was worried about Scamper last night when the wind really kicked up. She opened the garage door just a bit, so Scamper could come inside if he wanted to, but he was smart and stayed hunkered down in his cathouse.

Callie is doing great too after her teeth cleaning. She still has a few days left of her antibiotics, but she is taking them well. Mom fills one syringe with her medicine, and three other syringes with her pureed cat food. Callie never knows which one she is going to get. MOL! Before she knows it, it’s all over!

Hi Angel Wilson and family!
My fursister Callie is back home after her dental cleaning and doing fine! She was very groggy when Mom brought her home yesterday. It took most of the night before the effects of the anesthesia wore off. Callie kept trying to walk and each time she would stumble to the ground. Mom needed to get her settled down, so she unfolded the futon bed onto the ground and that’s where they both slept last night. Around midnight, Mom was able to get some water and pureed cat food into Callie’s mouth with a syringe. Almost immediately, Callie looked better! Then at 4:30a.m., Mom prepared a syringe filled with the dreaded antibiotics. Callie took it like a champ. Mom quickly followed the meds with more pureed cat food, so Callie didn’t have a chance to get annoyed. MOL! This morning Callie wanted out of the bedroom, so Mom carried her downstairs. Whitey, Orangie and I followed Callie outside where we are all catnapping on the deck. It’s cloudy, but not cold yet. We’re expecting a big rain storm beginning tonight. Thank you for all kind wishes and prayers for my sister. CC furiends are always the best medicine!

Whoo hoo! It's your Mom's birthday tomorrow! We hope she has a wonderful day! My Mom has a birthday this month too. She had to schedule her next visit to the dentist on her birthday! Hi Angel Wilson and family!
We’re so sorry for not pawing by yesterday. The day turned out to be much busier than we expected.:(

Yesterday my sister Callie went to the vet to have blood work done before her dental cleaning. Mom and Callie had to wait a while. There was nice man that brought in his cat without an appointment. It was a sad story. The man’s wife had just passed away a few days ago and the cat, which the wife had been the primary caretaker for, needed subcutaneous fluids for kidney problems. Apparently the wife administered the fluids by herself and now the man needed to learn how to do it. Mom got all teary-eyed as he explained his situation at the front desk. Dr. Natt looked at us cuz we were next, but Mom shook her head and said her and Callie were happy to wait. It was heartwarming to see the poor man, so sad, yet still willing to care for his kitty.

As the day was just starting, Mom was eating her granola and yogurt for breakfast and she broke a tooth! How ironic is that?! So after she got back home with Callie from the vet, Mom had to go to the dentist. What a day! And we still had the evening to look forward to. MOL!

So Mom took away our food and water at 8 p.m. last night, since Callie had to fast before her vet appointment. Gee whiz, did we all really have to suffer?! I know, be nice Whiskers! Misery loves company. MOL! I’m sure glad it’s not me for a change!

Callie was hiding from Mom when she knew it was her turn to go in the cat carrier, but she is much easier to get a hold of than I am. Hee, hee! Mom sat with Callie until the vet was ready. We’re waiting by the phone now. :( Thanks for all your prayers and well wishes for my little sister.

Hi Angel Wilson and family!
The sun is shining today, so Mom decided this would be a good day to clean and vacuum the house before it starts to rain on Thursday. Us cats are not too thrilled about that, but the sun does feel nice, so we gave Mom the okay to go ahead and let the vacuum monster out. MOL!

We had a wonderful time at President Queen Quincy’s Coronation last night, even though we lost our internet connection 35 minutes into the festivities. (Heavy sigh!) We were glad to able to witness the lovely ceremony and wish Queen MJ and Prince OJ a happy and fun retirement. We know President Queen Quincy will be a lot of fun as our mew leader.

Mom is fed up with AT&T and the recent lost internet connections, so she is assembling all her bills and will begin the search for another company. More than likely, we’ll need two or three different companies. Our Dad does not want to lose our phone landline, so that will have to stay with AT&T. Hi Angel Wilson and family!
We had problems with our internet connection again last night. We had just arrived to the MHL Hockey Arena, meowed a few hellos, and then POOF! We couldn’t get back on until it was time for bed. We’re hoping with all our hearts that we don’t have any problems at Coronation time. My Mom has a call in to AT&T again this morning and she is quickly losing her patience. (Heavy sigh)

Good mews...we’re expecting rain on Thursday and the local weather lady said we might get hit by several storms lasting a few days. Hooray! We need it! The creek by our house hasn’t dried up completely yet, but it’s getting close.

We’re all doing fine, including Scamper, our outside furiend. He’s getting used to rubbing against my Mom’s legs in the evening when she puts his food out. She has to sit down on her step stool and be very still. Scamper still won’t let her touch him, but we know he will eventually.

My sister Callie has to have her teeth cleaned this Thursday. My Mom brushes Callie’s teeth every day, so she asked the vet what’s the point? Dr. Natt said some cats are just more prone to gum disease than others. She said if Mom didn’t brush Callie’s teeth, it could be worse. Mom worries about having Callie put under anesthesia, but Callie had a good checkup a couple of months ago and the vet will do blood work on her before the cleaning.

Our Dad didn’t want to go to the doctor appointment our Mom made for him today, but it was too late to cancel. He did make a miraculous recovery, no longer running a temp, but Mom told his doctor about his fever lasting 10 days, the night sweats and his recent implants. Of course when the nurse took his temp, it was fine, but they ran some blood work anyway. Thanks for all your get-well wishes and prayers. Maybe that’s why he got better!:)

We hope to see you all at the Coronation! Happy Haircut to your sweet Mom! Bet she looks lovely!

Hi Angel Wilson and family!
We got a little bit of rain early Saturday morning, just enough to dirty the cars and sprinkle the thirsty lawns. The trees everywhere are starting to bud. It looks like spring is here already. One of our local weathermen says he is predicting a rainy month of March. We have our paws crossed!

Our pawrents worked on their taxes this weekend and are finishing up the paperwork today. My sisters and I are hoping to get a nice gift with their tax return. MOL! Dad says it will help pay for all my vet bills. No fair!

We hope you are all having a nice, relaxing Sunday. Hope it didn't cool down too much for you guys.

Hi Angel Wilson and family!
Our Dad is feeling much better today, or so he says. Mom made a doctor’s appointment for him on Monday because she thought maybe his constant low grade fever is being caused from his recent dental implants. But Dad said no, no, he’s feeling much better. We shall see! MOL! It’s funny how the mention of seeing doctor suddenly makes one feel better. Mom is not cancelling the doctor appointment. She made it late enough for him to go after school.

The sun is shining again, but we might get some sprinkles tonight. We had a nice, uneventful stroller walk this morning, feeding the ducks, birds and filling the water bucket. On the way home we saw Scamper sitting inside his cathouse. He had his head sticking out of the doorway when we came up the driveway. Normally he runs for the bushes, but this time he stared at us and hissed. Guess he’s not ready to make furiends yet!

We hope your family enjoys the sunny weekend! Give them all soft angel kitty hugs for us.

Hi Angel Wilson,
How are you doing this afternoon? It was snowing a little while ago. It seems as if Winter wants to hang on as long as possible. So, I thought we could have a "Hoody Hoo" Pawty tonight. Everyone gets together and says "Hoody Hoo" three times and it is supposed to chase Winter away. Hehehe.!!! Then we will have a Make Your Own Ice Cream Sundae Bar. Nothing like cold ice cream when you are trying to chase Winter away. I will also have warm drinks for us. Hope to see you for a fun-filled evening. Purrs of love, Q. Angel Misty...

Hi Angel Wilson and family!
Another day of sun and no rain in sight. The creek by our house keeps getting lower and lower. There are still a few ducks, but we know they’ll have to move on to greener pastures soon. While on our stroller walk, we fed them, tossed bird seed for the little birdies and we always fill up the water bucket by the creek. We haven’t seen any deer in ages. Everything is starting to look dry again.:(

This morning my Mom was startled out of bed when she felt a sandpaper tongue licking her face. Hee, hee! It was Whitey giving Mom a bath! This was a first! Callie likes to kiss Mom, but none of us have ever given her a tongue bath. Maybe Whitey was trying to tell Mom something. MOL!

Our Dad went to work and said he felt a little better after resting most of the day yesterday. Thanks for all your get well wishes for him. Mom is hoping he can rest all weekend. If he doesn’t feel better by Monday, Mom is going to make him see the doctor.

Our outside furry furiend Scamper was watching Mom change the bedding in his cathouse and he walked over to give her leg a headbonk. Mom reached down to pet his head, but he quickly lashed out at her hand. Mom remained calm, it was just a little scratch, and she talked to him softly. He didn’t run away. Scamper sat and listened. Mom is getting closer!

Hi Angel Wilson and family!
We’re still having problems with our internet connection and it’s driving my Mom bonkers! Mom noticed a pattern the past few days...we lose our internet around 4 p.m. and it stays lost until sometime past 9 p.m. Mom and Dad go to bed at 9, so we’re not sure when the internet comes back up, but in the morning when she feeds us- it’s working! Very frustrating. Getting a human at AT&T to talk with is almost impossible, but Mom finally did. AT&T could only say they are doing work in our area. (Heavy sigh!)

Our outside furry furiend Scamper is doing just fine, enjoying the warm weather. We’re expected to be in the mid 70’s for the foreseeable future. No rain in sight.:) Not good mews for our drought and the creek by our house, but it still has a little bit of running water for the few ducks.

Scamper has rubbed against my Mom’s leg a few more times when she is filling his kibble bowl. As long as Mom doesn’t try to pet him, he rubs back and forth a couple of times before eating. Mom is going to borrow the microchip scanner from her friend at Alley Cat Allies again next week. Maybe by then she’ll be able to get close enough for a reading.

Our Dad is feeling better from what ever he has. He sweated again last night while sleeping, but woke up feeling better; just tired. Dad came home early from school again today and is resting. Us cats are catnapping outside in the sun, under the big table umbrella of course.

Enjoy your warm weather my furiend!
