Today is "National Homeless Animals Day". I have posted a small selection of poems on my page, and here is a short one for you.
"Stray Cat" by Francis Witham
Oh, what unhappy twist of fate
Has brought you homeless to my gate?
The gate where once another stood
To beg for shelter, warmth, and food
For from that day I ceased to be
The master of my destiny.
While he, with purr and velvet paw
Became within my house the law.
He scratched the furniture and shed
And claimed the middle of my bed.
He ruled in arrogance and pride
And broke my heart the day he died.
So if you really think, oh Cat,
I'd willingly relive all that
Because you come forlorn and thin
Well...don't just stand there...Come on in!

So sad when we loose a dear friend. My Crystal can not replace my Pywacket. Thanks for your help with the picture. I tried to put the picture that the breeder sent when I was only 2 months old but it did not work I don't see it.

hey friend wats up??? well you no those kittens that mikey and millie were talking about??? well i saw them before the mother took them to a new location and they were so ah dorable. all four were gray but one was whitish gray like you. there has been a gray cat that come to my door that i think zip likes. yesterday he hung out sitting at the back door all day. its pretty cute. also it had a collar on so we think someone owns it. anyway you got another vote from me you pretty kitty. catcha later! puuurrr...Come visit me, Zoe & Zip.

OMG, Oscar, thank u so so so so much! 2day my owner was on the phone and she glanced out the window and saw the stray that was thought to be the mother of the kittens. She followed her, and she went back to the old spot. When my owner went back later to look, the kittens were back! Now Oscar, please help us get the kittens and the mom saftely to a shelter, or someplace safe. THANK YOU!!Come visit me, Mikey & Millie.

well, hello again angel kitty. have to thank u for looking out for all of the stray kitties out there. i do have a special request tho.....the other day we found a litter of five stray gray kittens. the person from the animal shelter told us to wait to get them b/c they needed their mother right now, and we should try to get the mother used to a cage by putting food in first. Unfortunately, the next day they were gone. the mother prob. brought them someplace else. we've looked but cant find their new location. please look out for them, and help us to find them.Come visit me, Mikey & Millie.

It is so nice that mommy was able to share her love with another little kitty. My very own mom did the same thing. It was really hard for her when she lost her Boo after 16 yers together. She wasn't sure if she could love another kitty. She looked at a LOT of kitties, and none said "take me home" She found me on the web and her & dad drove 4 hours up to see me...and I yelled at mom until she said...i'll take her.....they couldn't bring me home for another 10 weeks, but they came to see me every two week.....By the time I could go home...mommy could hardly wait....she loves me just like Boo....but still loves her Boo~ Purrs to you a vote ~ Paws Come visit me, Pawstuctaway Serengeti.
