How We Met
My mommy was going through a very difficult time. It had been over two years since her beloved cat had passed away. She went to a rescue shelter and adopted me and my sister, Magil. We have brought much joy and happiness to her life.

A Powerful Rumble Fills the Air
Is it an Earthquake? Is it Thunder? No it’s the powerful rumbling sound of eight beautifully painted motorcycles, cruising down the street they’re all heading for The Magil & Lil’s driveway and pulling in to share Adoptiversary Wishes with Magil & Lil and their mom.
The helmets come off to reveal Zoe Monique, Cyndee, Mallow, Q. Lola, Ammie, Dasher, Talley, and Thunderfoot, Kali and Elvis, all of the Hairballz Rainbow Riders.
On the back of the bikes are flags representing their two lost honorary members, Doodlebug and Yum Yum
they all dismount and in turn, they present Magil & Lil with cards and brightly wrapped gifts. There are feather toys, catnip teasers, bouquets of Balloons, Vanilla catnip cake, with mice cream cups and boxes of Kitty safe Chocolates. There is also a bouquet of white roses for Magil & Lil’s Mom
Talley and Dasher unfurl a big banner with “Happy Adoptiversary Magil & Lil” emblazoned on it. They all exchange hugs & purrs with Magil & Lil& her mom and get back on their bikes to head out to their next destination for the day.

The temperature was high 66 & low was 53 this morning, now it's 66 with humidity 50% & wind is 8 MPH N. Monday's suppose to be Sunny & High 74.

♥ Honoring our fur mama, BABY KNIGHT'S 13286 Three Year Forever Sleep on Monday, May 20th!!!!
Baby was mama to most of us Knight Kitties. You can see the list of ALL Baby's Children on her page 13286 in her BIO section.
♥ Well, the Yard Sale is over til after the first of June, but not the work for mom and dad as they will still be going thru the storage shed next with throwing things away and saving things for the next sale!!!! The last two days of the sale never even made $40 for both days!!!!
♥ Mom and dad has been doing a bunch of weeding in the front yard in between customers during the sale and rain. Today, mom went in the back yard and scooped out the big 3X5 (used to be 5X5) sand`litter box then she got her new weedeater assembled, as she had to take the other one back to Wal*Mart then went to Lowes and got one there instead. She got the front yard weedeated then she mowed the front yard.
♥ Mom did open dad's bedroom window this morning so we could be out in the cattery. It was nice getting the fresh air.

The temperature was high 64 & low was 46 this morning, now it's 63 with humidity 54% & wind is 3 MPH W. Monday's suppose to be Sunny☼ & High 67.

♥ Mom woke up early this morning with a very tired and sore body. Her and dad basically took it easy other than mom taking care of us and also gathering the garbage and yard debris then taking the containers to the curb for morning pick up!!!!
♥ Mom and dad will be back to their busy days again starting Monday. Mom says we will be getting lots of cattery time this week since we are suppose to have Summerlike weather all week!!!!

♥ K. FIDEL 14733; TONANTZIN 14732 & CHE 14734 as their sweet momma SARA CAZARES went to her Forever Sleep yesterday (4/20/2013) morning from complications follwing a stroke she had last year. Sara was a very active momma with her husband, 2 sons, 3 fur kits & 1 doggie as well with the schools and politics. She was still a young woman at age 48. She also used to be very active on CC. Many of us old CC timers were close to Sara and her kitties.
We are so sad to learn of her Forever Sleep and she will be deeply missed!!!!
Please keep this family in your prayers.

How was your weekend? We definitely "labored" here for Labor Day weekend, as we began the massive cleanup after Hurricane Isaac. Although we did get alot done this weekend, there is still so much more to do. We are trying to take it step by step, and not look at the big picture & get overwhelmed. Some people just do not realize what going through something like a hurricane can do to us emotionally, not to mention the physical and mental stress. We just still cannot believe how much more damage Hurricane Isaac did here than Hurricane Katrina. Of course we were on the east side of the storm this time & that is always the worst side of a hurricane - lots more rain, winds and tornadoes. At least we all are ok. That is what is important.
Although we are mentally & physically exhausted, we are trying to stay positive but it is kind of hard at times. It was an extremely hot & humid, rainy weekend here with temps in the high 90s & heat index of over 105. With water everywhere, mosquitoes are a concern now, and of course West Nile Virus. We have 2 people in our county with that illness right now. Mommy says that we three seem almost back to normal, thank goodness. She has been so worried about us.
Today the insurance adjuster came & accessed our damage, so hopefully things will move forward quickly now. Mommy is already worried about when we get our mew roof, all the noise & men who will be on our roof scaring us. Thanks for your continued prayers for us as we still have a long way to go before things will be “normal” again.
Psalm 46:1 “God is our protection and our strength. He always helps in times of trouble.” We believe that.

What’s mew with you? We have some exciting mews to share with you. Yesterday when Mommy got home from work, she had a big box from Fed Ex waiting for her. The box contained 6 calendars and the letters telling us that all three of us are featured in the 2013 Cat Fancy year-in-a-box calendar. We were so surprised because Mommy did not send any pictures of Casper Todd or me to them this time, she only sent MerryBelle’s photos since she was the only one not included in this year’s calendar. For 2013, MerryBelle is featured on Valentine’s Day, Casper Todd is on April 12th and I am on July 19th.
What is really funny is that my picture in the 2013 calendar is the exact same photo they used in the 2012 calendar!!! I guess the judges must really like that picture. Tee hee!
We have also seen two other CC furiends in the calendar – Bombay is on July 17th and Fuzzworthy on April 24th. Let us know if we have missed anybody.
Now Mommy knows what she will be giving as Christmas presents!!!

ANGEL TIGGER #233531 was born August 15, 2008 in his family’s home and was king of the castle from the moment he took his first breath. He was a gentle, lovable boy that his dad adored, so when he suddenly became an angel on May 1, 2012 his dad and siblings were devastated. We know their hearts are still hurting from the sudden loss of this precious fur-baby so we’d like to honor this sweet angel’s memory today, and also let his dad know he’s not forgotten. I'm sorry you had a bad thunderstorm here. We have those all the time down here. Casper Todd is scared of the loud thunder, but it does not bother me or MerryBelle. We are brave girls! That little bother of mine is spoiled rotten.
Let me tell you what happened to me two weeks ago. It was horrible! On Monday night I could not eat or drink after midnight, then Mommy put me in my carrier and I rode the 30 miles to Dr. William where I spent all time having my teeth cleaned. Mommy & Nana picked me up that afternoon at 4:30. Then I had to take Clindamycin (antibiotic)for 5 days because my gums were infected. That nasty med gave me the runny poops. Thankfully I have recovered now.
Yes that is our new kitty sofa, but big butt bother hogs it. Who wants to sit on it after he puts his germy self there?!!! Please, don't ever get a little bother. Your life will never be the same.

We love doing surprise campaigns for our precious CC Angels and today we’ve found one that is very actively involved with daily activities across the channel. ANGEL TIKKI #33474 was brought to her new forever home as a holiday gift. She was her Mom’s constant companion until she crossed over the rainbow bridge in September of 2003 at 13 years of age. She joined CC on July, 21, 2007. Angel Tikki is a special Angel and is a constant friend to all the other Little Angels! What’s purring with you? I am “chillaxing” (chilling & relaxing). Either tomorrow or Caturday, Mommy is going to catch another urine sample from me and take it to Dr. William to be rechecked. I just do not understand their fascination with my pee pee!!!
If the acute sterile cystitis has cleared up, then Mommy will schedule my teeth cleaning. I have only had my teeth cleaned once, back in 2007. I am NOT looking forward to that, but neither is Mommy. She worries so much about us, especially when anesthesia is involved. Our Moms sure do like to worry, don’t they? Maybe they need to chillax too!

Princess Diaries: Yesterday was not a good day…First, a hairy, black Monster was chasing me and I kept trying to catch it but couldn’t…Round and round we went and still it eluded me…For the 9 lives of me I couldn’t figure out why it chose me to chase…Then I heard my Mommy laughing…I stopped dead in my tracks to see what was so funny and lucky for me the Monster stopped too…I meowed at Mommy “what’s so funny” still she laughed and then she said “Oh Princess, you are so silly”…I couldn’t believe it, she was laughing at me…Here I am being chased by a Monster and my Mommy thought that it was funny…Then she said “Sweetie, why are you chasing your tail”…Huh???...My tail, what was she talking about…I looked at my tail and then it hit me…The black, hairy Monster was indeed my tail…Oh, how mortifying…How embarrassing…How could it be at 10 years old I just discovered my tail…Thankfully nobody will have to know about it…Of course I can only hope my Mommy doesn’t spread the word and cause me to hang my head in shame if anybody hears about it….To make matters worse, when Mommy and I were taking a nap, I was suddenly caught off guard with the overwhelming urge to hock up a hairball…Oh no, I was in bed laying right next to Mommy’s face and before I could hop off the bed it came up…A “Projectile Hairball”…I couldn’t believe it, right next to Mommy’s face lay the awful, smelly, huge Hairball with food…What a mess…Just as I finished I saw Mommy lift up her head & look in my direction…I took off running I was so upset…Mommy saw the evidence and she just got out of bed, got a wash cloth and some soap and cleaned it up…Then she found me and picked me up and kissed me and cuddled me…She told me it wasn’t anything to be upset about and these things happen…I just turned on my purring machine and enjoyed all the love…I really am so lucky, my Mommy loves me…Sometimes I am so hard on her but to tell the truth I sure do love her…I can’t say this to anyone and that’s why it is so easy for me to write my innermost thoughts here in my Diary…After all I have a reputation to uphold…Time, to get back to my bird watching on my window sill…Till next time…Purrs, Princess Cookie

The Woes of Princess O: I had an upsetting yesterday & I was innocent & didn’t do anything wrong….It was the old meanie my Mother, she is just so selfish and unfair…So, here’s what happened…I was minding my own business playing when Mommy came home from work later then usual…My food bowl was empty and I was a bit hungry…Anywho, Mommy rushed in with her hands full of bags & plopped them down right in front of me then she went to change her cloths…I figured she wanted me to go through them so I started investigating…I came upon the bag which I knew was for me…Inside were strawberries, my favorite food…So, since I was hungry I decided to eat one…I don’t know why they package them in hard to open plastic containers…It took a few tries and then it opened and I sat down to enjoy my treat…All of a sudden I hear Mommy yelling…She was actually yelling at me and she wasn’t using any words I ever heard before…I must say that upset me a bit…I wasn’t doing anything wrong, I was eating the strawberries I thought she bought for me…Then she got me really angry cause she called me the “B” word…That’s right she called me (Oreo whispering ) “bad”…What, what did I do wrong…Then she tried to take the strawberry away from me so I ran behind the TV cabinet with the strawberry in my mouth…That really got her going so I wouldn’t come out…When Daddy got home with lunch she ran and told him I opened her container of strawberries & ate them & she proceeded to tell him I wouldn’t listen to her & that I ran off with one and I’m hiding…What a bold faced lie…I wasn’t hiding I was just staying away from her cause she was being so mean, calling me names and trying to take my strawberry away from me…Daddy got down on the floor and called me to him, I peeked out from behind the cabinet and meowed my story…He understood & told Mommy if she didn’t want me to have the strawberry why did she put the bag on the floor & further more it wasn’t necessary for her to yell at me & scare me…Mommy said “as usual your taking her side”…Hello, I was right, she was wrong…Daddy reached behind the cabinet, got the strawberry & called me over to him…He cut the strawberry up & put it on plate so I could eat it like a lady…The sore loser kept saying I was a spoiled brat…Not only did she call me the “B” word now she was throwing insults at me…When I was finished my treat I sat beside Daddy on the couch & he made me feel better with lots of petting and kisses...I gave Mommy the evil eye the rest of the day & kept my distance…Can you believe the way I was treated…At times my life is just so stressful…I sure hope your treated better then I am…See you next week….Purrs, The Pouting Princess

Yes please do rethink your idea about getting a kitten. They are nothing but t-r-o-u-b-l-e. Just look at my little bother. He's not so little now, he weighs 16 pounds. But he is still a bother. And you are probably right about me catching that cystitis from him. I do try to keep my distance though. I seem to be feeling better. Mommy says I am being very "talkative" now. Guess I have alot to say.
I'm like you - I can be a drama queen too. I squeal if MBelle or bother get too close to me. Mommy says you would think the world was coming to an end. Well, duh! It feels like that with those two being in my space.
You take care and keep in touch. I sure have missed you.
