How We Met
I went to the pound to adopt a deaf cat my co-worker told me about. I saw this little guy too and he just melted in my arms. I cried my eyes out because I had to choose between the two. I felt that Benjie would be the best because he was so docile and little. I was aftaid the other cat might be agressive around the girls. He is a sweet little boy and I think he is going to fit in with us.

BEYOND THE RAINBOW, IN MEMORY OF BENJIE
As much as I loved the life we had and all the times we played,
I was so very tired and knew my time on earth would fade.
I saw a wondrous image then of a place that's trouble-free
Where all of us can meet again to spend eternity.
I saw the most beautiful Rainbow, and on the other side
Were meadows rich and beautiful -- lush and green and wide!
And running through the meadows as far as the eye could see
Were animals of every sort as healthy as could be!
My own tired, failing body was fresh and healed and new
And I wanted to go run with them, but I had something left to do.
I needed to reach out to you, to tell you I'm alright
That this place is truly wonderful, then a bright Glow pierced the night.
'Twas the Glow of many Candles shining bright and strong and bold
And I knew then that it held your love in its brilliant shades of gold.
For although we may not be together in the way we used to be,
We are still connected by a cord no ones eye can see.

Have you met Piu yet? I heard it's a lot of fun at the Bridge. And nobody is sick or crippled. It's so hard on those of us who have to stay here without our friends. But mom says even though we are sad, we have to remember all the good times we had and how much we loved them. Mom is sad right now because she knows how your family feels and wished no one had to go through this. THE RAINBOW BRIDGE-Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to the RAINBOW BRIDGE. There are meadows & hills for all our special friends so they can run & play together. There is plenty of food, water & plenty of sunshine,and our friends are warm and comfortable. What's meowy? We have our stockings hung (photo on my page) and are waiting for Santa Claws to come. Sissy is mad at me because I played with her Chipper the chipmunk. She said Chipper was gross & smelly now. That sister of mine is so goofy!! Mommy is going to get the pic of Merrybelle in the paper scanned & hopefully put up on her page. Wish her luck! I'm sure you and Konan would have been good friends if he had still been alive. He was very social, and, like you, he loved making new friends. Thanks for coming by about a month and a half ago. Hello Benjie
Well it’s time to let the cat out of the bag or in this case the kittens… On Saturday my parents adopted two abandoned kittens. I have a new sister, Amber Lee (2.0 lbs) and a new brother, Cody Lee (1.1 lb). They are 10 weeks old. Boy, are they small. The two of them run around non stop. They still have no idea that there is a second level to our house. I am super close to Cody and I’m getting along very well with Amber. Mommy has been feeding them Kitten food which I just love to sneak a nibble of. (Don’t tell her I said that.)
We are going to call ourselves the Big Apple Gang. Please be patient with us answering our blogs. The babies are upstairs and mom’s computer is downstairs.
