How We Met

Unfortunately, on September 15, 2007 sweet little Sati passed away at the vets. The cause of death isn't known at this time. Her owner couldn't miss her more. ***

One rainy day, a little black and white tuxedo came to the back deck. She came up and just pressed her little black nose to the glass door and just stared in with wide, innocent eyes in the rain. The little kitty was extremely lovable and immediately started purring when I opened the door and wanted to come right in. I preceded to make her a shelter with some chairs, an outside chair cushion, and some plastic table cloths, since I knew the evil one, who shall remain nameless but is my mother, would not let her in.

Three days passed and she stayed around the deck, mostly in the pouring rain, occasionally she would be in her shelter. On the third night when my mother was in the kitchen, she looked out and saw the tuxedo staring in with her big, pleading eyes, once again in the pouring rain. My mother finally caved in and let the little munchkin in the nice, dry, warm house.

I came up with her name fairly quickly, as there were two names I always wanted to name a cat, Sati (Say-tee). She soon became my cat (or I became hers) and took to my bed quite readily. For a long time she would start purring as soon as someone came into the room, or even just glanced over.

Pretty soon we started noticing her getting bigger, at first my mom thought she was just getting fat, I was convinced she was pregnant. She was. She gave birth two months after she was brought in.
