Hi! My name is Gypsy

I am Domestic Shorthair from n.g.y.t.i., IN

Nicknames: Gypsy's nicknames are gypsers, bearbear (for some odd reason), Anchor Kitty, gyps, gypsykins, and gypsygirl.

Age: 5 years old

Gender: F

Coat: short haired

Education: Gypsy loves to get into the (formerly existing) fish bowl and mess around with the fish. She will jump on top of my dresser and try to bite the glass fish tank. Unfortunately, she disposed of our last fish... As far as doing something I'm proud of, Gypsy is pretty much out of that question. But we love her, and wouldn't trade her fo anything.

My favorite tricks and treats are: When Gypsy was little, we had a feather toy on a string and pole. We would make it turn in a fll circle in mid-air, and then Gypsy would do a backflip in our living room! Or, if she was feeling not as energetic, I swear she would jump about 5 feet to get her mouse in mid-air! and Gypsy loves catnip and would eat it on a daily basis, but otherwise she'll eat ANYTHING!!!

Where I hang out: Oddly enough, whenever I make my bed, Gypsy runs into the room and scurries under the blanket or sheet. If you have a fitted sheet, she'll spend about 10 minutes trying to figure out how to liftup the elastic; eventually she gets it! She'll just stay there until you chase her out. she will take naps under there and everything, evenplay under the blankets!

My favorite grubs: Gypsy will eat just about anything you give her, but her favorite is chinese take-out chicken (no sauce).

My pet peeves: Gypsy hates it when you give the other cat a treat but not her. so, what to do but steal the food from them? My friends literally call her "Anchor Kitty" because she loves to eat food & treats, and she feels like a load of bricks, but isn't fat!!!

Translation:

I love that she gives me scraps (sometimes) from dinner and cuts me and Binx fresh catmint from the garden. I LOVE THAT STUFF!!! I love to play with her red dot toy, too. I love how she pets me on my favorite spots (which is under my chin) and lets me sleep on the heating pad with her. She's THE BEST!!!

My cat hobbies: Gypsy loves to chase the laser beam around. If she could have energy drinks, she would literally spend hours running around in circles to try and catch the little red dot cast from the laser!

Pet motto: Eat, sleep, play, look cute, annoy Binx, get petted, REPEAT!!!

How We Met

One day I asked my mom if we could look inside the animal shelter. I looked in the cats' cages and saw a little grey tabby kitten. I fought back the tears and just burst out crying when i got back in the car. I should have known better. I wanted the kitten so badly, but I knew I already had a cat. I didn't think my parents would approve. I asked and they didn't think my other cat, Binx, would like it too much. But me being me, I took my chances. the following Friday, I was so excited coming home from school I could hardly wait. that was the day we picked up my future kitten. She purred when we held her, and was very feisty. We had no clue what to name her, so we dropped by my aunt's house to ask her suggestion. "How about...Gypsy?" she replied. 'Gypsy...' I thought to myself. That was perfect!!! She was rambunctious and loving too. She loved to play and explored a lot. Gypsy. it just rolled off the tongue. We have had our beloved cat ever since August 18th, 2007, bt it seems to be FOREVER!!!

Gypsy Welcome. It took my mom a while before she figured out how to get more pics on the site too. So you like to Fish? Sassy used to watch the aquarium fish and tap at the glass she never got any .
