How We Met
Yes, I realize I'm Not a CAT! I do have my own web page on the Fish Channel but, alas, none of the other fishees want to be my friend. The only visitors I've had so far are my kitty friends!Mom bought me as a friend for her cat. She chose me because i'm as 'Blue" as Suki's eyes.

289 Fish Night TIme Votes
Dear Blue & Suki, We're just coming by to leave you a good night vote & wishes for a beautiful fun filled day tomorrow. The sun was finally out and the birds were back in our tree singing the Lion King Theme Song today... Would you believe that they're just chirping away??? That's a really good thing that you are okay! Whew! I hear fishies don't like the air very much and that's why you live in water. We are fine in Texas and the rain has slowed up some. It isn't raining every day like it did for awhile there but there are still parts of our state getting too much rain.
I spent last night in the garage and yesterday i stayed in bed with Moms. She was showing off how flexible she is and she threw out her shoulder. Yesterday she stayed home from work and took pills that made her sleepy and crosseyed! We thought it was funny but she would yell when one of us stepped on her shoulder. she didn't yell any words, just "AHHH!!." so we stopped doing that and tried to be good kitties. Even little Caesar got up and slept by her. By the time the lights went out we were ready for fun! Lolo (or maybe LULU) pulled nearly all the toilet paper off of the roll and Munchkin chased everyone. We all hissed and growled and ran around. I guess Moms slept through it but we kept Pops up! YEAAAA! They are at work today so I guess it's back to just us!

I get it. You two have teamed up to try to drive me crazy. You start out talking about biting Mom's finger and flying through the air and end up talking about how you're still at Nana's and Mommy talks to you on the phone. Not even a breath in between! Mom bought a house, contingent on her liking it in person - since she hasn't seen it yet. Harumph, humans, they are sooo strange. The people who came here sunday said it smelled from cats. Dear Blue, You poor thing. You must have been so scared. I'm so glad that you're doing okay. At least your Mom bought you some new stones & a new plant. Isn't it amazing how the guilt factor works!!! Things have been going really well and the babies are starting to settle down a bit. Amber likes to sleep right next to me whenever she can. Then Cody wants to join us. Needless to say I have been busy grooming the both of them and keeping a watchful eye when they are up. For some reason they like to chew on my tail whenever I start to move it. Good thing you bettas are so resiliant! Mommy's fish Suess got knocked out of his bowl a couple of times. One time he went hom with a roommate of hers, and on the way to her friend's house they got in a car accident! A lot of his water splashed out, and he lost all his color so he was all white. But then after they got home and he was on teh counter for awhile, all his color came back. And another time he got knocked off the mantle on the tv! Mom didn't know when it happened, but somehow she saw him in time, and saved him. ANd this fish lived for 5 years! So a little trip now and then is ok, if you catch him soon enough.Come visit me, Calvin.

Oh, Poor Blue! What a fright you must have had! My Mommy pets her fishes, too, but they are in a big pond that can't be tipped over, and besides, she's used to having them nibble on her finger. I can't imagine how scary it must have been to find yourself on the FLOOR without water or anything to help you swim! I sure hope your Mom has learned her lesson! That must have been really scarey. My mom says she found one of her fish actually STUCK to the floor once but still breathing and she scooped it up and threw it back in the tank and it lived for about 3 more years,
though it wasn't a Siamese Blue Fish.

Dear Blue, Greetings… I want to share the story of a 75 year old woman named Ida Pellegrino … When the babies were almost 6 weeks old their mother left them and never came back. They were living in Ida’s backyard. Three times a day Ida would prepare a meal for her husband and put a plate of food out for the babies. So if Mr. Pellegrino had eggs & toast, the babies had eggs & toast. This continued for three weeks. Whatever Ida cooked for her husband, the babies ate. Burgers, vegetables, fruits, chicken, fish, luncheon meat, lasagna, cake, etc… The Pellegrino’s were able to catch and bring the babies to our vet who they used for over a decade themselves. The following morning they moved to a retirement development in Pennsylvania knowing the babies were in good hands. My parents adopted Amber & Cody six days later without any knowledge of this. Imagine their surprise when the babies ran into the kitchen whenever they opened the fridge or fixed any sort of the food. They attacked anything they could get their paws on, especially Cody. That boy tried to eat pizza, Mom’s cheerios, Chinese food, etc… It doesn’t matter what my folks are eating they want to eat it too. Soft drinks, coffee, water and tea were also available for attack. When my folks took the babies back to Dr. Bob for their colds they found out the story of Ida. At least now they understand why Amber & Cody get excited over string beans & asparagus!!! Try to picture Mom running after Cody who had a piece of asparagus hanging out of his mouth!!! Trying to break them of table food is an ongoing battle. They can be fast asleep in the bedroom but if you open the fridge they come running and start meowing for food. Mom & Dad are trying to satisfy them with their kitten crunches & Fancy Feast. In twenty one years of owning kitties my parents have never seen this before. So when we write that they like to EAT… We mean it!!!
