Hi Kels I think your arena probably got WAY more deafening when that final buzzer sounded! We were watching that one for sure. Mom was gone all day today, carousing around with Lady Dolly, Sassy Su, Olivia and Angel Q. Gracie's Moms, so we didn't get to see how Mallow's team did but we saw it on the NHL website. Oh, gee, we were cold today and there was lots of rain some places. I missed Mom and I had to have lots and lots of petting when she got home. I don't think she minded, mol. That's great the antibiotics are helping your paw, bet it doesn't hurt near as much with the swelling and redness improving. Kapt Kelsee, WooHoo....great game for us! Another hot day there for you. Does your Mom like hot weather or does she enjoy the colder weather? Regardless of how hot it is, my Mom likes it better than cold weather. That is wonderful...your Mom has her bedroom all put back together. I'm glad the dresser and vanity dried so quickly. Hi Kelsee, I sure hope your little paw and nail is healing and feeling better every day. Only three more days 'til FRI! Is it still hot and humid there? Did your Mom have to take another cool shower today? That is the kind of weather we have all summer long - hot & humid. We had a good rain yesterday...even some hail too. It rained about 2 hours. The grass is still pretty brown though today. It will take a good rain everyday for a week or so before we green up. I sure hope we won that game you were watching yesterday! It wouldn't hurt to be 2 games ahead of Orange Crush at the end of tomorrow night...teehee A humid day is not a good day to paint unless you have the air conditioning going full blast. Are the dresser and vanity dry yet? Your Mom sure is ambitious. Yay! Kelsee Glad you are feeling a bit better. We understand about the hot & humid. We've had the A/C on for 2 days now. Gosh it's warm. Crazy weather. Mom had a doc apt early this AM & it was hot & muggy then, totally got worse as the day went on. Mom had to get an allergy script today because it's been bad around here with the pollen. Hope you are back to 100% soon. Keep us posted on your condition :) Here’s my votey for you. Hi Kelsee,All How are you today.Was nice this morning,but then we had another storm with hard rains.Mom had to go shopping for kitty food,and my treats,then by the time she got home it started raining and storming,so I have not got to go out at all today,ole storms.The thunder was so loud it sure scared us all,I hid way in the back of the cat tree until it was over,then I ran and got on he bed with mom,while she rested,going to the store sure did wear her out and started all the ole pain back for her,ole pain she said.Wicket hid in the kitty cube during the storm,Baby,Missy,Cindell just kept on napping.So nothing much going on here right now,I have made a few rounds through the house,looked out all the windows,ate treats,napped,carried mr,innertube,now I'm laying on the toy rug looking out the door,its getting dark out again,hope we don't have more of those storms,Wicket is laying on the other side of the toy Rug,Baby sitting on the cat tree,Missy,Cindell naping.Mom said if it did not storm later we might get to go out for a few minutes,I hope so I need to explore and eat my grass,so guess for now I'm stuck inside.Kelsee so glad your paw is doing better and that the swelling is going down for you,hope the meds are helping,pawhugs,Spongie,Gang,Angels. Oahu - day 2 Pearl Harbor, Honolulu … This memorial is a fitting tribute to those who lost their lives on a fateful day which launched the US into World War II when the Japanese military attacked on December 7, 1941. Wikipedia tells us Pearl Harbor is a lagoon harbor on the island of Oahu, Hawaii, west of Honolulu. Much of the harbor and surrounding lands is a United States Navy deep-water naval base. It is also the headquarters of the United States Pacific Fleet. The attack on Pearl Harbor by the Empire of Japan on Sunday, December 7, 1941 brought the United States into World War II. On December 8, 1941, President Franklin D. Roosevelt declared war on Japan. In return, December 11, 1941, Germany and Italy declared war on the United States. The USS Arizona Memorial is the most recognized icon of World War II Valor in the Pacific National Monument, a unit of the National Park Service. Access is gained through the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center. Upon entering the visitor center, we head to the NPS Tickets & Information desk where we obtain free tickets for the USS Arizona Memorial program. While waiting for the tour to begin, we rent an audio tour headset, and explore the bookstore and exhibit galleries. We watch a 75-minute program in one of two theaters. It includes a brief introduction to set the tone for the visit and a 23-minute documentary film which includes actual footage of the attack. After the film, we climb aboard a Navy-operated shuttle boat to the USS Arizona Memorial. Note: There are no public restroom facilities on the Memorial so we make quick stops before boarding our shuttle. The Memorial spans the USS Arizona, a sunken WWII battleship which is the final resting place for most of her 1,177 Sailors and Marines killed in the December 7th attack. In the shrine room, we find a marble wall with the names of all of these men. In addition, we see a smaller marble wall, which lists the names of USS Arizona Survivors who, since passing away, have returned to their shipmates by having their ashes interred inside the fourth gun turret by Navy and NPS divers. It is important to realize this is not a tourist attraction, but a memorial and grave that deserves to be treated with respect and reverence. This is a place of learning, reflection, and quiet contemplation. Following our Pearl Harbor visit, we dine at a Five Diamond Hawaii Regional Cuisine restaurant, enjoying wonderful fish and local produce. The pineapple here is so very sweet. Kel, I'm glad your foot is feeling better You have to think next time before sticking your claw in another cats nose! You can get hurt that way, in case you hadn't noticed. So now you know that, you won't fight Louie anymore, right? Mom knows she was right, and she knows that unless the name-caller apologizes she won't go back to MHL even if she wants to.
