Trying To Get Caught Up!

Thank you so much for voting me COTD and coming by to congratulate me.. We have to keep the party low key though, it is Ash Wednesday. But we are saving all my special treats for thursday. Mom had to work today but we celebrated without her. Tabitha did this amazing pirouette while her tail was chasing her. She always tries to be the life of a party!!! MOL!! We made our own confetti with newspaper and female stuff out of the bathroom cabinet. It was a wonderful time. MOM didn't even get mad. She just wanted to know if we had fun! THE LAST JOURNEY. Life with our feline companions is filed with journeys. Happy, sad, long, short, funny, not-so-funny, all make up a lifetime with a feline companion. The first journey is usually the happiest of all! That is the journey to the furrever home. Sylvia's first journey began on Seville street where her first family simply moved off and left her behind like so much garbage. Sylvia could not understand why her family just disappeared. Where did they go, why did they leave her behind? Why was she suddenly hungry all the time? She was noticed by a very kindly, retired couple. They fed the starving kitty and took her into their hearts and home. For three years, Sylvia was on a happy journey, filled with family and love. Then one day, the family noticed their Sylvia was sick. They took an anxious journey to the Vet, and after tests it was determined that Sylvia has a large, inoperable, malignant tumor. Cancer. Now begins the last journey. Sylvia's family tries to spend as much time with her as possible and enjoy every minute of her sweet presence. Their main goal is to minimize their beloved kitty's suffering. Please go by Sylvia #78824 and let's help her get a COTD badge to show the family that the CC cares! The Basics
Every week, this team (the Red Hats) plays a game against a different opponent. There are 48 teams in total. They are divided into two conferences: the Lion Conference and the Tiger Conference. You are in the Tiger Conference, and during the regular season, you will play every other team in your conference. That is a total of 23 games, hence 23 weeks of the regular season. Each conference is separated into three divisions of eight teams each. The division names in the Tiger Conference are Tabby, Burmese, and Ragdoll. Your team is in the Burmese Division. Although you play every team in each of these three divisions, it is the other seven teams in the Burmese Division that you compete against for a shot at the playoffs. I won't go into how the playoffs work at this time, as they are still months away. I have your entire team schedule for the season, so I will supply you with that information. The team standings are shown on the Mouse Hockey League page (#43885). They are separated by conference and division, because that's what counts. In the "How We Met" section, the current day's schedule is posted. That is like a Program for the day's games. Schedules for days later in the week are often found below, in the blog area. Normally, games are played six each day, Monday through Thursday. Sometimes the schedule needs to be adjusted slightly to accommodate the humans behind the scenes. You are the last of your family to be assigned to a team, but we were kind of holding your assignment, waiting for an opening on one of the senior ladies' teams (There are two such teams.). That opportunity arose today when the Red Hats lost their third member to the Rainbow Bridge. This team and the Spring Chicks only accept female players who are eleven years of age or older. I hope you will enjoy being the right defensecat for this team. With ten kitties in the MHL, we have tried to give you a variety of teams and positions to play. We placed pairs where we could to minimize how many teams you had to keep up with. Your family has four cats playing left defensecat; we couldn't easily avoid that, but at least that is an exciting position. I have really been needing another cat to play goalie, but Daphne and Raven are goalies. I felt that was enough goalies for the family. Besides, at 15, I didn't think you wanted that job. Anyway, the Red Hats team captain is Sabrina-#10544, not to be confused with Sabrina-#11187, who is the founder of the kitty Red Hat Society. (If you aren't a member of that group, we recommend it.) OK...this is AMAZING. Your momcat & I either have the same couch or had the same upholstery. Your momcat has good taste. Our couch is a Castro Convertible, which momcat had to have re-upholstered last year last year to a cream color but it replaced the EXACT FABRIC you have on your couch now. When she saw pic of you on the couch, she said WOW!!!! Isn't that something how these things can happen. I posted a new lead picture of me. It was actually a picture that mom had of me, Juju, on my page, but a 'below picture'. I felt it was a better pic. of me though since you can see my face. Quiet day for us here today. Yesterday was stimulating. Condo Assn. unit owners annual meeting. Momcat volunteered to go on the board again (as she feels they again need someone on the board that has the ability to think & reason) sorry..waxing bad.! LOL A rescue of Lil Grey from behind the clothes dryer in kitchen which was nerve racking & both on Tues. So...today was a mellow chill-down day. Purrs & Vote, Juju

It’s a snowy day, but I say Yay...
...I am so lucky to be Cat of the Day! Thank you so much, to all of my friends on CC for voting for me and helping me get COTD. I am so happy, and I will be celebrating with my family today. I hope they have lots of kitty treats for me – maybe even a new toy or something. This is even more of an honor, since this is the first year anniversary of the day before my angel brother Wheezer crossed over the Rainbow Bridge. I know he is proud too and will be doing some angel celebrating with my other angel brother Pepper. I made so many great friends on CC. I am one lucky little kitty, that’s for sure. Only gonna be 65 here today, brrr. We all slept on the porch except Missy, she slept with dad. Zippi knocked the tower speaker over again and spilled a whole mug of coffee. Taz spilled water from the fountain and tracked to litter box and beyond.1 hairball, 2 mystery nuggets on the floor while OG slept, Missy Slept and dad locked himself in his bedroom again.
