How We Met
I was rescued from my neighbor's front yard. I was cold, sick, hungry, afraid, and dumped! I could be heard meowing inside the house, today I am still sick, but TONS better, with the good news from my vet that I don't have Feline Leukemia! I am only one and 1/4 pound at two months, and DOB is only and estimate. But I'm doing much better now!

Hi there, Winthrop!
Long time, no meow! Wanted to stop by and see if you are getting bigger and bigger; we were hoping we'd see a picture of you all grown up. Hope you are thriving, well and happy as ever with your sweet mama who saved you. It never seems to slow down here, we still have a lot of fosters including a mama with four kittens who was out of time at the shelter. The babies are now 10 weeks old: Miley, Motor Scooter, Miss 61 and Mothra, and their mama is Mama Mia. They're all very sweet. Take care and have a good week ahead! That is the sound that woke us up at 2:00 a.m. this morning. We thought it was a burglar or maybe even Santa Claus. But no, it was Casper Todd trying to open the bathroom cabinets. Could use some help, Winthrop!
Winthrop, I thought of you today and wondered if you might have some advice for a foster kitten we have, Flannel, aka Ferret One, who pretty much looks just like you do in your current pictures. He simply is not thriving, and his brother Fleece, aka Ferret Two, is at least twice his size if not more. The vet is thinking it could be the dry form of FIP, but we are hoping his bad liver numbers could just come from his very poor appetite. We now keep snacks handy, like a can of his preferred food or a jar of baby food, and we put little blobs on the plate and let him nibble continuously, like putting his plate on the computer desk, and put it in front of him, then when he jumps on dad's lap to cuddle, dad holds his plate. It's like he won't eat unless mama or dad put their face right beside his. Have you ever figured out what's going on with you, little man? Ferret is alert and attentive, and the only odd thing we ever see him do is attempt to eat some grains of litter, so we figure maybe since he's slightly anemic, it might lead him to eat odd things. We give him lots of attention, and he is such a sweet little guy like you, we can't bear to think it might be FIP and are just concentrating on the food issue. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. He is a foster kitten but he has become so dear to all of us that he is staying, no matter what! Sorry to be so serious this evening, but I thought you might have some insight. A Favor Please?
Here's a vote for ya. We have a very sick kitty that we would like to see get COTD. I've been told he is waiting at the foot of the rainbow bridge (he has cancer and other multiple health problems). His name is Manie #32745, could you please visit him and vote while you are there? Here is our joke of the day: Mrs. Peterson phoned the repairman because her dishwasher quit working. He couldn't accommodate her with an "after-hours" appointment and since she had to go to work, she told him, "I'll leave the key under the mat. Fix the dish washer, leave the bill on the counter, and I'll mail you a check. By the way, I have a large rotweiler inside named Killer; he won't bother you. I also have a parrot, and whatever you do, do not talk to the bird!" Well, sure enough the dog, Killer, totally ignored the repairman, but the whole time he was there, the parrot cursed, yelled, screamed, and about drove him nuts. As he was ready to leave, he couldn't resist saying, "You stupid bird, why don't you shut up!" To which the bird replied, "Killer, get him!" tee hee... Have a catastic weekend!! Dad has a very busy day today. Cut the grass, vacuum the house, program his new cell phone and kitty cleanup. What is he doing, yep, on the computer and watching the tv. He will be in the cabinet then a nap, then look out the window and say. I will get the lawn tomorrow. His motto is,procrastination is the thief of time. Meow. Nothing new here except that my Mom was so busy yesterday she couldn't even go on CC to send message to my friends. But I meowed and meowed so she is going to try to leave a few notes today. It is getting humid again but we will get some cooler weather by Sunday and all next week according to the weather man. Dear Winthrop, We're so glad to hear that your almost 3 pounds. Bravo my friend!!! My parents & sister are away for three days. I thought you might enjoy reading my journal entry ~ Another day at Camp Aunt Donna!!! We woke Auntie up at 5:30 this morning for breakfast & playtime. We have been going all day. I even tried to borrow her steak when she was on the phone. Aunt Donna noticed the steak was missing from the plate. We’re making her nervous with our flying squirrel moves, NASCAR hall & step running as well as extreme sports wrestling. We miss our parents but we’re having a blast. Their travels started at Mystic Aquarium with sea lion whiskers, Belugas who sing and penguins that swim. Mom said that there were over 3,000 menu items, opps I mean kinds of sea creatures. They spent the afternoon walking through down town Mystic and touring ships & the historical shipyards. They hit several exhibit galleries before dinner. They seem to be enjoying eating dinner on the water. Does this mean that we will be having our meals outside near the pool when they get back??? Mornin Winthrop!!
A big fat good morning to you!! I can see I've missed out on quite a bit while momcat and I have been gutting and re doing the castle.Wow do I have a ton of catching up to do!! The scrubbing and painting are all done here now...finally!! I was a super well behaved feline for momcat while she and Aunt Sandy were painting. I helped only as much as I was needed, but mostly guarded the paint rollers and held the plastic sheets and drop cloths down to make sure they didn't move!! The beaded curtains have to be one of the most wonderful inventions this side of flavored yogart,and I've made friends with the blue fuzzy creature that invaded my computer/play room. I've also befriended the purple fuzzy ones in the bedroom, they didn't need as much tuning in as the blue one though!! I also helped momcat put the new end tables and plant stands (plants?) together, hang the beaded curtains and hang the new pictures. I was there for all of it and never once got stepped on or dirty...no paint on my fur at all!! Now we're settling into a routine and momcat's back to work in a couple of weeks!! Oh no!! ....But... momcat got me a couple of pets!! Beta's!! One is just like Suki's Blue, and the other fella is red!! It was that or another kitty, and mom thinks I'm a really good kitty and doesn't want to chance a big change. I hope this finds you well, mom and I have missed you terribly, and I wish I could have been here protecting my realm when I was needed and yes, I know I was. We’re the Exotic Bros and we have a big favor to ask. Could you please visit Haven's site (#34635) and leave him a vote in memory? Baby Haven was a purrpal of ours and he was pretty new to the site. He was just a baby and he went to the Rainbow Bridge last Friday. His two baby sisters are very sad and one told us she wished he could have been COTD before he left us.
