How We Met
WE ARE BACK!!!!!! MISSED everyone TO LONG. CYA LOVE YA ALL............ Neighbors that we got Mr. Kitty from Moved. Kitty was very sad him and princess fought at the window all the time (love_hate relationship) He wouldn't go to the window. He was an only Cat then in a house of 3 dogs and a bird. Then one day he woke me up wanting to look out the window, I asked him' "is Princess out there" he said"MEOW" and he rarely talks. The people had dropped her off on to my porch and left her. Broke my heart. ( Neighbors told me that's how I know.) After a couple of weeks the man-dad said okay bring her in. And they lived happily ever after. With the exception of the broken foot due to the door I was using to separate the dogs from the living room. Princess' foot got caught and broken every bone in her foot. I felt so guilty not having a regular doggie gate. I never thought aboput the hinged part popping up and catching a foot. But The vet fixed her right up. thank god and she still loves me!!

Hello Princess
So glad you are back home where you belong, safe & sound.
How are you? Thursday I visited Dr. William for my annual checkup, blood work (CBC, 6-panel, T3 & T4), shots and 3-month Schirmer eye test. First the good news – my eyes are doing well.
Mommy’s intuition told her something was going on with me, so now the not-so-good mews. I am in the very early stages of kidney disease:
My BUN level = 38 (normal is 16-36)
My Creatinine = 2.6 (normal is .8-2.4)
Dr. William says we caught this early. For now, we are going to treat it by changing my diet to Prescription Diet k/d. So far, I am eating both the k/d canned and the k/d dry food. We will recheck my levels in 3 months.
I also have a UTI, so I am taking Clavamox, the wonder drug. My thyroid level (T4) is in the “grey area” so Dr. William sent some of my blood to Texas A&M so they can run a test called T4 by Equilibrium Dialysis. We should receive those results next week.
As you can imagine, Mommy is very upset, stressed, & worried about me. Please keep us in your prayers.

ITALIAN CAT BRINGS GIFTS TO HIS LATE MASTER'S TOMB –

ROME - The story of a cat who visits his master's tomb and brings him little presents on an almost daily basis a year after the man's death has moved the inhabitants of a village in central Italy.
"He brings little twigs, leaves, toothpicks, plastic cups. A bit of everything really," Renzo Iozzelli's widow Ada told AFP from Montagnana, a mountain village near Florence.
"Sometimes he comes with me and sometimes he goes on his own. The whole town knows about him now!"
Toldo the cat -- a grey-and-white three-year-old tomcat -- followed Iozzelli's funeral procession last year and has continued going to the cemetery ever since, a habit usually ascribed to dogs.
"He loved my husband. It was something else! Now it's just me, my daughter and my son-in-law and he's very affectionate with us too," she said.
Ada said the journey to and from the cemetery each day had tired Toldo out in the cold winter weather.
"He's not going out so much these days. He's caught a bit of bronchitis so he's sleeping next to me."

BRAZIL INMATES TRAIN CAT FOR PRISON BREAK –

BRASILIA - A cat trained by prisoners to deliver cell phones and tools to dig tunnels was caught at a jail in northeastern Brazil after sneaking in with forbidden items strapped to its body.
"An agent saw the cat and went to look at it closely because something about it seemed wrong," Marcelo Avelino, the head of the prison guards' union, told the O Globo newspaper.
The agent found a bag tied to the animal's body filled with saw blades and drill parts for concrete drilling and digging tunnels, along with a cell phone complete with battery and charger, Avelino added.
The cat had often been seen coming in and out of the Alagoas jail.
Prison officer Luiz de Oliveira Souza told the G1 news website that prisoners had raised the cat and that relatives would often take it home after a prison visit.
"We were very surprised by this new tactic of prisoners, who trained the animal so that it returned to the prison and even managed to carry materials,” the agent added.

955 ~*~ JUST A RELAXING DAY ~*~
EUGENE, OREGON WEATHER REPORT:
The temperature was high 77 & low was 40 this morning, now it's 77 with humidity 31% & wind is 14 MPH WSW. Monday's suppose to be Showers & High 66.

♥ Well, mom told Callie 239447 that she met her match!!!! Saturday morning mom just happened to look over at the end of the couch to see Sassee 10605 sitting on it, which mom thought was awfully strange cuz she never gets on that end table then she seen Callie hunkered down under the top shelf of the end table. Mom told Sassee to leave her alone then mom had to pry Callie out from under that shelf part!!!! That's the first time Callie's been scared. Mom told Callie not to mess with Sassee especially when Sassee's in pain!!!! Sassee is the ALPHA girl inside!!!! No one was hurt!!!!
♥ Mom opened dad's window after she finished her kitty chores so we could go out in the cattery. Funny thing is though, she had it boarded up with plywood as it's suppose to rain today and she didn't want everything getting wet. At least we got the fresh air as well as relaxing out there!!!!
♥ Mom and dad didn't do much xcept relaxed and watched a couple movies on tv then some recorded shows on the DVR.
♥ Mom took the first cuttings of two roses today from her rose bushes. One is of her Angel Face which has a beautiful fragrance and the other is Jacobs Coat.

Feline Wisdom: A Mother’s Day Letter From My Cats - by Angie Bailey

Dear Meow-my,
Today is Mother’s Day, and because we love and care about you, we have a few points we’d like you to consider:
1. You’re perfect just the way you are. Sometimes we see you worry about silly things and we think you should worry less and nap more. It works for us. And we’ll even nap with you – what a deal!
2. We love it when you let us sleep in your chair. Even when you need to sit there, you never move us – you just balance your butt on the very edge of the chair so you don’t disturb us. You are kind…and well-trained.
3. We know you want to develop a consistent yoga routine and we think that’s a great idea. Stretching feels fantastic and we just want you to know we’re here to help you. You know how we are – the minute you sit on the floor, we climb all over you. Sometimes this annoys you, but we are only trying to help you master the poses. You’re welcome.
4. We also think you should read more books. We notice you look more relaxed when you read, and we like that. Additionally, you reading a book means we’re charged with rubbing our faces all over it and lying on top of it, forcing you to eventually stop reading and pay lots and lots of attention to us. So please read, relax, but focus most of your energy on us.
5. We have a relaxation tip for you: Have you tried napping on a pile of warm laundry? It’s just the best! Try a load of towels – you’ll never go back.
6. Don’t feel guilty about eating a treat now and again. In fact, get really excited about it! You see us, right? Do you notice how we race around the kitchen and cheer when you show us the treat jar? You need to do some racing and cheering over cupcakes. We’ll grab the camera.
7. We love it when you play with us! We think sometimes you should close that computer-thingy and play more often – and not just with us! Take a walk, go swimming or meet friends for tea. And sometimes, we want to be your only laptop.
Hopefully you will find our suggestions helpful. We kitties are smart and know how to live happy and balanced lives and we want that for you, too! Thank you for everything you do for us. We don’t even mind a camera in our faces now and again – we know that makes you happy. Not to create more work for you, but we would like to suggest that you do a few more loads of laundry each week. What? You read #5, right?

Neelix here. Mom Carla, I wanted to stop by to tell you that we are keeping your sweet Princess in our thoughts and prayers! I'm sure she will be found. It appears that she may have decided to go on an outdoor adventure. Keep checking the shelter daily, ask all the neighbors, post a reward. Check websites. Post her photo at all the local vet offices.
We pray that she will safely return home soon.

Thanks so much for coming by with your sweet thank you note! I had a great time celebrating your birthday with you, & loved the milk punch! Mom was giggling when she read that your momma was trying to type with the three of you on her lap! There’s only one of me, and I make it very challenging for mom to type....constantly walking across the keyboard and insisting on sitting in that little space between her lap & the laptop! She should know that only kitties belong on laps!

How to Catch a Possum
Since all the recipes will involve possum, I figured it might be worth it to include a section on how to get your hands on one.
I know of several ways to catch a possum. Perhaps the easiest is to simply drive around for a while in your truck. The problem will soon resolve itself.
(SCCRRRREEEEEEECCHHH!!. . . SPLAT. . .)
Much more fun, however, is to take your dogs and shotgun, and go into the woods and hunt one down. The advantage to this method is that you don't have to scrape the possum off the pavement. The disadvantage is that you do have to worry about shotgun pellets in the meat.
(OUCH! Dadgum it! There went my best tooth!)
Not to mention that a shotgun blast can really mess up the hide, which makes it a lot harder for the taxidermist.
It is also possible to set traps to catch a possum, but this method is notoriously unreliable. Possums like to stay in the trees, and you're much more likely to catch something else.
(Hey, Ed! There's something in the trap! See them bushes moving? Let's see what it is! . . . OH, $#&@! IT'S A SKUNK!!)
Another thing you might want to take into consideration is that possums are scavengers. They eat anything. If a possum is in the road, chances are he's there looking for lunch. Therefore, it's best to catch them alive if at all possible and feed them corn for a few days to clean them out real good before eating them. You just don't know whose garbage they've been into. After all, you wouldn't want to eat something that's been eating Aunt Edna's leftovers, would you? You know, she's the one who brings that stuff that nobody ever touches to the family reunion.
(Hey, man, what IS that stuff? I think it's still alive!)
Possums are also notoriously hard to kill, and they, well, play possum if they feel threatened. (That's why they're called possums!) I remember hearing about someone who had a possum get in his garage one time. He was real mad about something, and having a possum rooting around in his garage making a mess just made it worse, so he took after that thing with a shovel. The possum never had a chance. He did have to chop its head off to make sure it was dead; otherwise they just get up and walk off. It was real strange; right after he beheaded the possum, lightning or something struck the garage, blowing out all the lightbulbs and giving him quite a shock. (If you don't get the joke here, don't worry.)
Of course, if you take this page seriously anyway... you might be a redneck.

it was a wonderful party and i had a great time...
we had a nice spring like day 52° sunny and windy...
after lunch mom came home and did some spring cleaning and another load of laundry...
tonight dad is doing their taxes and he took mom's laptop so she's stuck with her little notebook which is fine by us because there's more room on her lap...
