How We Met
Six years ago we were asked by the rescue we foster for to foster/socializ- e a feral cat who had been rescued and neutered. We were given a beautiful sleek black boy, and a daily set of how-to instructions that we followed faithfully. Cole became social very quickly, but did not use the litter box. The rescue said that he would probably have to go on a farm as a barn kitty. We knew that Cole could learn to use the box, and deserved a chance at being a pet so we went outside and dug up dirt and put it into the box for him..... decreasing the amound of dirt, each day, and adding more and more litter. It worked....Cole began using the litter box, and a friend of ours fell in love with him and wanted to adopt him. Six months ago she found a new love in her life, and Cole went by the wayside. He no longer fit into her lifestyle. So, she gave him to another friend who had fallen in love with him. Now, 6 months later, Cole is, again being dumped. She is moving and took an apartment that won`t allow pets. So, for the second time in 6 months, Cole has been dumped. He no longer fits into the lifestyle of his owners. We will be very picky in choosing a new home for Cole. He will NOT be dumped, again.UPDATE: Cole is now an official Connecticat. He will be staying with us. After 10 days of not eating on his own due to depression and stress, we fear that another change in his life will be intollerable for him to bear.

We Met Santa Claus!!!!!
Yes, it’s true! And we have the pictures to prove it! Mom heard he was “in the area” and she WOKE us UP from our NAPS so WE could go SEE HIM!!!!! All of Santa’s elves were SO impressed by how “good” we were! Of course we would be good! We want lots of toys and catnip too! He even gave each of us a free bag of food! Mom Is Going Back To Grad School... HOORAY!!!!!!
Well folks, the time has come and mom is busy getting ready. Monday morning mom will be starting school again! Oh, and she will be starting her FIRST Fieldwork too! Hooray! We are so proud of her! ... the Christmas season begins the day AFTER Thanksgiving. Oooops. My bad. I got things started a bit early this morning with ... okay, brief break for some instruction. The Ole Switcheroo
Bandito, Cleo, and Sebastian looked at the evil twins and then at each other. Bandito said: ‘Cleo what shall we do? We can’t let them blow these latrines up or we will ALL be wearing ORANGE JUMPSUITS, or worse, BE SENT TO ALKATRAZ’…. Cleo knew he was right and said a quick prayer “Dear God, Please Help!” Angel Kitties Shadow, Skeeter, and Max heard Cleo’s plea for help and they quickly gathered all of the Angel Kitty Gang and they RUSHED to offer support! All of a sudden, the latrine crew felt a strong wind and a flurry of Angel Wings. Cleo felt her whiskers tingle as the wind brushed by, and the EVIL TWINS hid in FEAR …. Cleo knew her sister was among the angels and it brought a smile to her face. Shadow grabbed the box and took it away while Skeeter replaced it, unbeknownst to the crew. It was shortly after this that Tucker, Patrick, Clover, Storm, Magil, and Lil showed up to help. The crew and the newcomers got back to work. The EVIL TWINS lit a stick of dynamite and threw it into the latrine that Sebastian was cleaning. As soon as he saw this he screamed “RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!!!!!!!” The kitties scurried away as quickly as they could and hunkered down covering their heads……In the distance they heard……………..pop……..……..The evil twins looked at each other and at the same time said “HUH??????” They went to look at the stick of dynamite that was supposed to explode. Attached to it they saw a flag with the word BANG! The looked at each other again and went to the box it came in. The box came from ACME!!!! Oh brother! The foreman saw the whole thing and sent the EVIL TWINS far, far away. *****Special thanks to ALL of the members of the Angel Kitty Gang. And So We Reported For Latrine Duty This Morning..
We were all decked out from head to tail. Equipped with Face shields, nose plugs, rubber gloves, galoshes, and rain ponchos….. Mom sent us out with the Foreman of the road crew, who somehow resembled a cat we ALL know and love (Bandito). Mom was none the wiser…. Or so we thought…. We drive a ways down the road when suddenly the trunk popped open! Out came two cats that LOOKED EXACTLY LIKE US!!!!! They were our EVIL TWINS!!! Sebastian and I thought WOO HOO!!!!! WE’RE FREE!!!!! Too bad there was a highway patrol man sitting right there and caught the WHOLE THING on his CAMERA! Well, he called mom, then sent the FIVE of us to the latrines to clean. I sent an urgent call to my dear friend Nix. She and Kinser rounded up some supplies and sent them to us… We were surprised to find DYNAMITE in the mix! Our evil twins grinned slyly…. Uh oh…. LET IT RAIN, LET IT RAIN, LET IT RAIN.....
We were all set and ready to go this morning to clean the latrines, when it started to POUR DOWN RAIN! We aren’t talking about any little shower here we are talking CATS AND DOGS!!!!! The Foreman called and canceled our shift because he said IT WAS CHAOS!!!!! Boy, we lucked out today, but in the background we heard….Cleo and Spaz ARE EXPECTED to COME BACK TOMORROW! DRATS!!!! Thanks to everyone that has sent money to us to help defray this HUGE bill! There have been lots of great suggestions: selling hair, selling catnip seeds, selling cookies, raiding the couch and piggie banks for spare change, playing the lottery, selling toys and beanie babies on ebay, house cleaning too, and there was also a lot of volunteering of siblings (after all, what are brothers and sisters for?). TROUBLE!!! OMG... WE ARE IN DEEP, DEEP TROUBLE!!!!
OMG!!! OMG!!!! Mom is SOOOOOO mad…..She went to check the mail today and found the credit card bill for 40,515 dollars!!!! GULP!!!!!! She sat Sebastian and I both down and told us to explin this? A Swimming Pool? A Refrigerated Storage Unit???? WHAT WERE YOU THINKING??!!!!! We begged for MERCY saying it was for a good cause, we had to help Bart ad Peanut!…. Mom said THAT’S IT… You both have to GO TO WORK and PAY this money BACK!!!! We are to report to the Highway department TOMORROW and CLEAN the LATRINES on the Highway! NO IFS, ANDS, OR BUTS about it, WE WILL have to WORK this off! Mom and I were browsing through some profiles on CC when we noticed a cat who passed away on 10/31/07 from Kidney Failure at only 7 years old. Bart Part 7: The Last Chapter
As the train drew closer, Sebastian was getting ready to jump. He and Bart climbed on a tall rock and when he saw his chance Bart threw him onto the speeding train with his long tail! He carefully crept to the Conductors area and found that he was fast asleep! Sebastian saw his chance and grabbed the brake and slowed the train to a stop. Before he left the engine car, Sebastian wrapped the conductors hand around the brake. The conductor woke up and realized that he needed to be more careful. The others quickly jumped into one of the box cars. As they saw Peanut’s house in the distance, they all prepared for the big jump. Their chance finally came…. One by one they jumped off the train, rolling through the brush. With their fur matted and dirty, they arrived at Peanut’s house after midnight. They filled the bathtub with water and Bart plopped in! Peanut’s Mom was unaware, and stepped into the bathroom and SCREAMED!!!!! Peanut came running and told her mom he is a good alligator. He saved my life. He loves Sebastian, Kinser, Cleopatra, Onyx, and he will not hurt any cat and you will grow to love Bart like we do. Please, please can we keep him? PPPrrretttttyyyy PPPllleeeaaasseee??????? Peanut’s dad walked into the room to see what all of the commotion was about and said it would be ok if Bart stayed as he saw how much Bart meant to his little girl. *********We hope that you have enjoyed this story. ELEPHANTS MOVING IN!! CALLING A FEW GOOD MICE!!!!!
Elephants have been heard moving around in the apartment above. The chandeliers are swaying, the plaster is falling, and the celing tiles are falling down. The racket is more than I can bear and we are looking for a few great mice. Mice that will shake their fists at the thought of getting trampled on, Mice that will spit nails if needed, Mice that have no fear in their vocabulary. We need every kitty on CC to round up their bravest and best mice and bring them to me ASAP!!! The few the proud the MICE!!! Bart Part 6: Caught Red Pawed
Sebastian was steering and Kinser was working the brake and gas. All of a sudden, they heard a spit and a sputter from the engine and ran off the road. They hit a huge pothole and Kinser bounced up and hit the steering wheel and Sebastian lost total control of the truck. They wound up in a swamp and they know the police are on their tail. So, the girls quickly let Bart loose in the swamp and the girls hid behind swamp grass and they caught a deep breath as they went under the water. When they came back to the surface they quickly realized that the boys were gone and all they were left with was that old rusty truck. The boys were arrested and hauled off to jail. The Sheriff told them that they would be shipped, the next morning, to Kitty Boot Camp, for Felonious Felines. Their only hope was that the girls would find them and get them out. Meanwhile, the girls hitchhiked to the nearest town and called for a tow truck and have the truck fixed. Then they took the truck late at night to Jail while no one was there in the one horse town, and tied a rope to the window bars and broke them out. There was NO sheriff on duty!!! When they get on the road and Kinser being the piggy that he is decides that the prison food was awful and he wants PIZZA!!!! So they saw a local pizzeria and with Cleopatra on the bottom, Nix on her shoulders and Kinser on the top donning a mask and a long gray trench coat, they stole a pepperoni pizza. Right before they left, Kinser spotted a Wanted Poster on the wall. ALL FIVE CATS and Bart are on it!!! He knew they cannot use the truck anymore! As he was telling the group, Onyx spotted a set of train tracks and suggested that they hop a train as stowaways. The five cats and one alligator started to walk the tracks and suddenly they felt vibrations, starting in their paws and then moving up their legs. All of the sudden it hit them....... IT'S A TRAIN coming full steam at them. They quickly jumped off the tracks and hid in the brush just waiting for their chance. Hi Cole!
Has anyone heard from Fidel, Che, and Tonan? I am really worried about them. Mom is so upset now! She was trying to fix her computer at home and thinks she made it worse! We can't even download pictures now either! Plus, she thinks she deleted things she should not have! Big, big OOPS!! We knew she was upset last night so we all piled on top of her and purrrrrrred! Mama said one of my baby boys looks just like ME!! Can you believe it! She said he's really cute. - Well, of course he is if he looks like me!!!! Sheeesh! Bart Part 4: ROAD TRIP!!!!!!!
On the other side of town, Peanut discovers that Bart is missing and panics! She calls her dear friends Cleopatra and Onyx and they formulate a game plan to try and find Bart. While the girls are searching for him, the boys Sebastian and Kinser are busy procuring the use of Sebastian’s Grandfather’s old Ford pickup truck. They offered 5 catnip plants in return for the use of the truck. There were several mechanical problems with the truck, but they set out to get it running. They were covered in grease from head to tail. They were just finishing up when they heard that Cleopatra and Onyx found Bart at the Louisville Zoo. While waiting for the boys to bring the truck, the girls worked quickly and quietly, with flashlight in hand, to break through the metal bars that were trapping Bart inside. Finally they hear the sound of metal snapping. Then they knew that the steel bars have been penetrated and Bart will soon be free. The boys arrive at the exact time that Bart steps out of his horrific cage. They load him into a 55 gallon drum equipped with waterproof windows. They all set off on a road trip to AZ. Sebastian and Kinser were the drivers. Onyx, Peanut, and Cleopatra were keeping Bart company in the back of the truck. They sped down the Highway through KY and MO with the radar detector on and the radio blasting. They drive and drive. When they reach Tulsa they pull up to the Toll Booth. They empty out their pockets and they come up with 2 pennies, 3 catnip mice, a handful of lint, and a few pieces of gravel. Bart Part 3; Lost & Alone
Bart and Peanut arrive at Ole Gray's house to help protect the Red Mousie for the night.
The next night the RM was to move to the next house which was Cleo and Sebastian's house... Cleopatra, Sebastian, Zippi, Peanut, and two dogs in disguise, loaded up into a UFO and traveled to Louisville. Bart snuck on the UFO by hiding in Zippi’s Shrimp bag.....When they arrive in Louisville; Bart decides to swim in the pool at Cleo's house.
After a while Bart gets bored and lonely. He misses his dear friend Peanut. He sets out to look for her. But Louisville is such a big city. He gets lost and his cell phone isn’t working. While he is trying to find his way, someone calls the zookeeper, saying there is an alligator on the loose. Bart gets picked up by the local zoo master that entraps him in a horrible cage. This was the only time in his short life that he was behind bars. Bart thought he would never see his precious friend Peanut again.Come visit me, "Onyx" & "Kinser".
