Nicknames: Mitten-Man; Mitter-mioze; Sunshine Man; Mifter Mi-osh; Bunny-cat (coz of how I run), plus a song Mom sings, just for me, to the tune of "Here Comes Peter Cottontail".

Education: When I was at the shelter, I was so scared, I could only be taken out of my kennel blanket & all. Mom worked with me there, but since I'm now with her forever, I've come such a long ways! Now, when I'm held, I'm as loose as a ragdoll... in fact, there's 2 more nicknames I forgot... Lose-edy Limb-edy Man, and Jello-Man! In spite of my earlier education, including being in the shelter, then PetsMart, where I got loose, then one home (where I was still scared from the getting loose thing), then back to the shelter... all before landing here, I feel I have moved to a place of higher education, and have been able to overcome my fears in a loving, relaxed environment. I also work very hard on growing my whiskers very long, to match my ruff.. just a hobby of mine... Mom says the latest one I shed measured just 3/8" shy of 6"!!!

My favorite tricks and treats are: Wow... I can't believe how much I've grown & changed, emotionally... my favorite trick to do is.. I sit down in front of where Mom is standing, I ask her if I can come up & see her, then she makes a motion with her hands, and I jump straight up into her arms, & she catches me every time. I trust her to do this. I never thought I would trust someone like this, ever, and for a treat... nothing beats a freshly opened bag of Felidae... I can open it myself- if Mom forgets. I have very strong teeth!

Where I hang out: I like the cat beds we have. I try to use different ones so as not to appear a bed hog. I also like laying on the floor near or under anything that will support me while I lay on my back. Our new bed on top of the TV armoire is pretty nice, too!

My favorite grubs: I love cat tuna, however I tend to mash my food down, so Mom finally figured out what makes me really happy... she turns out the can of food first, and picks out the small roundish nuggets for me first, then divvies the rest up. That way, I can roll each little piece up to the rim & POP in into to my mouth. Now I never leave any food in my bowl! I love raw chicken... I will eat chicken thighs, but- I'm definitely a breast man.

My pet peeves: Getting my ears cleaned, going to the vets, waiting for food, having to step in if Percy starts playing too rough with someone.

What I love about my owners: That she never gave up on me, but saw the "me" that was under my scared exterior. That she was so patient and loving & kind, and promised me that I would have a forever home, with her. I love that she doesn't mind me grooming her hair, or kneading her tummy, or talking so much. I love that she makes up songs for me. I would do anything I could for her!

My cat hobbies: Now that I can trust someone fully, I enjoy lots of conversation. I discuss pretty much everything with my Mom. I'm able to answer most questions put to me, and have, what Mom says is "amazing vocal flexibility".. whatever that means. All I know is, I try to make sure she understands the meaning of my comments.. now, how could she do that, if they all sounded the same? I also love to be held by Mom. I like be tootled (Mom's explanation: lightly bounced) and sung to. I also love kneading Mom's tummy, and shredding cardboard & heavy paper. Sometimes I even sit behind Mom when she's on the sofa, and groom her hair.
