Hi! My name is Hazel Alexandria
I am Domestic Longhair from Moscow, VT
Nicknames: Hazel-Bean; Hazel-Bean-Seed- ; Paisley-Hazely; Cha-Cha Pants Lady; Girly-Girl; A-Po-Po-Po Girl; Momma's Torbie-Girl; HeyHazel, HiHazel, HeyWhatchaDoin, Hazel?
Age: 8 years old
Coat: long haired
Education: I was found by a lady, who couldn't see my birth mommy anywhere, but couldn't keep me, so she brought me to the shelter. My Now-Mom happened to stop by, even though it wasn't her day to volunteer. She's the one who took me out of the box. When she decided to be my Always Mom, she had to educate me about everything that my kitty mom & littermates would have. I learned everything quite well, so I'm pretty proud of that. I've come a long way.
My favorite tricks and treats are: I can sit up at attention with my arms dangling down and I look like a meercat! Oh... and for a treat... .Milk!!! It doesn't bother me, so Mom gives me a little once in a while. Yum!!! ^. .^
Where I hang out: On top of the cupboards; in the closet on top of the Christmas storage boxes; in front of the sliding glass doors, hoping that the squirrels or chipmunk will come & play "catch me if you can".
My favorite grubs: I like the Felidae we get and the cat tuna, which sometimes has scrambled egg in it. My favorite is the fresh chicken. I also like people food things like little bits of crackers & such.
My pet peeves: Being chased by Percy; being told "no".
What I love about my owners: That she never doubted my determination to survive, that she took so much time & pains to teach all the stuff that a kitten learns, socially, from its kitty mom & siblings. I love that she truly was about the only mother I've ever known, and will ever have.
My cat hobbies: I like to jump on top of the fridge, then up to the top of the cupboards. Even more than that, I like to ask for Mom to hold me so I can hug her shoulder, and knead it, then I press my nose & mouth against her shirt, squeeze my eyes shut very tight, and pretend I'm, 5 wks old again, and drool on her shoulder. It's very comforting. Mom doesn't seem to mind the lip juice that much. Oh... love that laser toy, too!
Pet motto: I purr, therefore, I am.
