Jupiter rules the night in November 2011 as it shines and beams, like a lighthouse, in the east moving westward and upward from evening dusk until morning dawn.
Meteors in annual showers originate as grains of dust or ice in space, left behind by comets. After midnight, the part of Earth you’re standing on has turned so that you face head on into the incoming stream of space debris. So you typically see more meteors after midnight – unless the moon happens to rise in the middle of the night. Although the moon may wash out some Leonid meteors, it acts as your guide to the meteor shower radiant and the red planet Mars.
The annual Leonid meteor shower ramps up a few additional streaks of light and gets underway in November 6. With the Moon currently waxing toward Full, the best views will come before dawn tomorrow and Tuesday in the hour or two after the Moon sets. Astronomers expect the shower to peak the night of November 17/18.

Well, yesterday was human brother's birthday and mommy came home from work with a big cake. She didn't even give us any. How rude! Anyway, human bro (Lee) wanted to go the movies and out to eat. So, off they went and didn't even include us kitties. That to is rude. And besides being rude, they got home really late. To late to even get on the computer to do any blogging. That in itself is just down right rude. MEOW!!!!!!! Well all is forgiven when Lee came downstairs this morning and gave each of us kitty scratches and pets. Man, you got to love those humans. Mommy made Baby Boo's Avatar, but didn't know it was going to show on mine and Tiger Man's page. Mommy was upset cause she couldn't make one for each of us. Mommy came home from work with another migraine yesterday, so we are behind on our bloggs. She is feeling a bit better today. Thank goodness she is off on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. I was going up the stairs with mommy this morning, and at the top of the stairs was one of Tiger Man's spiders. It had escaped the box it was in and was heading towards mommy’s and daddy’s bedroom. Well, I tried to hide it from mommy and was going to call Tiger Man, but mommy saw it. The next thing I knew, mommy's handy dandy slipper smashed it flat. She picked it up with a kleenex and took it in the bathroom. Tiger Man was laying on the mat and mommy said, 'I found one of your spiders, Tiger Man.' Then Tiger Man meowed back, 'It's not mine, that one was Baby Boo's.' I think mommy is going on another clean fit. I hope she doesn't find the box of spiders that all you kitty friends have been sending. Sending you a batch of tuna cakes with a vote. Mommy did it again to poor Tiger Man. Around midnight we kitties were all sitting in the bathroom looking up at the window at this black bug that was just sitting there on the wall. Tiger Man was sitting on the sink just waiting for it to come down so he can pounce on it. Well, mommy woke up and was going downstairs to get some water. I told Tiger Man to look innocent and not stare at the bug. When mommy walked by she saw us kitties, (I was cleaning my paw, not looking at the bug, well, trying not to. But Tiger Man wouldn't stop from looking up) Anyway, mommy looked up and saw the big black bug. Then she left. Tiger Man said that she won't get it, that she is leaving it for him. Well, 2 minutes later, here comes mommy, and this time she kept her slippers on and had a swatter thing. She swatted the bug. He fell to the floor. Mommy scoop him up with tp and flushed him. Poor Tiger Man, he wanted that big bug too. Mommy said it was a water bug and comes in when it rains alot. Needless to say, Tiger Man didn't go in and sleep with Mommy. We were unable to get on the computer yesterday, due to all the dooming and lighting going on outside. So glad we are inside kitties. Everytime mommy said it's ok to get on, here it comes again and we had to get off. Not one blog was I able to do. Uggghhhhh!!!! Mommy is feeling a little better. She said she still has a slight headache, which she said is caused by the weather. Now, that I don't understand. How can the weather make you have headaches? MOL!! Thank you so much for the catgrats on my COD today. I was so excited when mom came and woke me this morning. I didn't even expect it, cause I wasn't able to stay long on the computer yesterday due to the storms we got. Duffus was in the kitchen cooking up a storm all day. And big O Tiger Man has been waiting paw and paw on me. It's wonderful. And then there's mom, well, I had to tell her to chill. She was just to excited. Hey everyone, Duffus here. I'm coping and pasteing. We are late on doing our blogs, cause mom's been worried about Baby Boo. She isn't feeling very good today. She threw up twice today and just lays around. She did come down stairs a little while ago and looked around, got some kitty pets and then went back up stairs to her bed. Mom said if she's not any better tomorrow, she will take her in to see the doctor. Baby Boo does all the blogging so I can't type as fast. It's taking for ever just to do this little bit.
