Education: I am proud of Butterscotch because when my family and I first adopted him, he and his brother Caramel all day would sit behind the dryer. Taffy was the only one of the three who would come out to play. Slowly, Caramel would come out but Butterscotch stayed there. Now, after two years, Butterscotch can finally play with Taffy, Caramel, and the rest of my family. I am proud of Butterscotch for overcoming his fears like that.
My favorite tricks and treats are: Butterscotch can do the trick called "paw" that most dogs do. and For some reason, Butterscotch is obsessed with Multi Grain Cheerios.
Where I hang out: Butterscotch enjoys sleeping in our greenhouse and inside the carpeted wooden box my brother and I made for him and his brothers.
My favorite grubs: Butterscotch will eat just about anything.
My pet peeves: Butterscotch hates loud noises and sudden movements. He will get scared if you noisily run at him. Butterscotch also hates being ignored for long periods of time.
What I love about my owners: She feeds me, pets me, and of course, loves me. She doesn't scare me anymore. No one really does anymore, now that I think of it. (Sometimes, if I get there before Taffy, I can sleep on her bed). I love my family, and I'm glad they chose me.
My cat hobbies: Butterscotch loves to eat, sleep, chase Caramel, and watch the outside world through screens.
Pet motto: Feed me, pet me, and I love you!

How We Met
I saw a poster at an ice cream store for a shelter called Hull Seaside Animal Rescue. My family and I visited the shelter a few times and decided that Taffy, Caramel and Butterscotch were perfect because we were looking for more than one cat from an animal shelter. We prefer shelters over breeders and pet stores because the pets just seem to thank you more.

Dear cc member,
My cat whitiker has been making my family happy for almost 9 years. Ive been preparing for his Birthday on March 22 for weeks, and have finally decided to get him a few packages of his favorite treats, along with build him a collar with all of his achievements stamped onto it. It is coming along nicely, but i believe it would be amazing if my dream for him could come true and he could become the cat of the day on march 22 of 2012. it would be awesome if one of his achievements could be an honorary, earned cat of the day badge. It might just help him to realize just how awesome he really is. Hiya!
What a great rescue story Butterscotch. Glad your family was patient with you. You were sure worth it! How did you get such a great name? We like all your names.Its been raining here lots for the last 3 days. The birds don't come out when it rains. Our Momma puts seed out in the birdfeeder & on the ground so the birds will entertain us ( & she likes feeding all creatures!)
My brother , Punkie used to hide when Momma first rescued him. His last family moved out & just left him & his brother in an empty house with a little food. The rescue organization we volunteer for found him thru a neighbor as the kitties were meowing loud. Momma fostered Punkie,then a woman wanted to adopt him & paid all the fees from the rescue organization & an extra $10 for a shampoo & maintence was the last straw she sd.... forget it!! We don't know why.........but are glad our foster Momma & Dad decided they really wanted me. We are all rescues.......

Oh what a cute boy!! My mom has been wanting to adopt an orange tabby male kitty, but my future dad won't let her because of his allergies. He likes me and Mom is very good about grooming (unfortunately, ugh) and vaccuuming, but he is worried he'd be miserable with another kitty. Stone Ground Cornbread will be the perfect addition to any meal. Ingriedients: 1 and one forth cups medium grind stone ground whole grain yellow corn meal, three forth cup all purpose flour, three forthe teaspoon salt, three forth teaspoon baking powder, 1 cup whole milk, 1 large egg, 3 tablespoons unsalted butter melted. Preheat oven to 375 degees farenheit. Butter 11x7x2 inch metal baking pan. Whisk cornmeal, flour,salt,baking powder and and baking soda in medium bowl to blend. Add milk mixture and stir just until blended. Transfer batter to prepared pan: smooth top. Bake cornbread until tester inserted into center comes out clean, about 25 minutes. Transfer to rack and cool in pan 10 minutes. Turn cornbread out onto rack and cool completely. Milo even liked the cornbread. It tasted delish. Today, I will send you a recipe for parmesan garlic bread. It's the perfect addition to any gourmet holiday meal! Preperation time: 10 min. Total time: 25min. Ingriedients: 1 loaf (8 oz.) french bread, 2 tbsp. margarine or butter softened, 2 cloves garlic minced, 1 half cup shredded mozzarella cheese, 1 forth cup 100% grated parmesan cheese. Preheat oven to 350 degrees farenheight. Cut bread in half lenthwise. Place, cut sides up, in shallow baking pan. Mix margarine and garlic until well blended. Spread evenly onto bread halves; sprinkle with cheeses. Bake 15. min. or until cheese is melted. Cut each bread half crosswise into 6 slices. Serves 12, 1 slice each. Milo. I am glad you liked the hot chocolate idea that I gave you. I knew it would be great. Here is a recipe: Apple Caramel Sundae Tart. Ingriedients: 35 Kraft caramels unwraped, 3 tablespoons of milk, 1 honey maid graham pie crust, 1 forth cup planter's peanuts, 1 cup milk, 1 package (4 serving size) Jello vanilla flavor instant pudding & pie filling, one half 8 oz. tube Cool Whip whipped topping thawed, 1 can (21 oz.) apple pie filling. Place caramels and 3 tablespoons of milk in medium microwavable bowl. Microwave on high for 1 min. or until caramels are melted and stir until smooth. Reserve 1 third of cup of caramel mixture. Pour remaining caramel mixture into pie crust top and top with pecans. Pour 1 cup of milk into large bowl. Add dry pudding mix. Beat with wire whisk 2 min. Gently stir in whipped topping. Spoon intocrust. Freeze 4 hours or overnight. Spoon pie filling over pudding mixture. Warm remaining caramel mixture into small microwavable bowl on high 30 seconds. or until caramel is smooth. Drizzle over apple pie filling. Serve imediantly. I hope you can enjoy this recipe. Milo.
