Happy Thanksgiving!!
Duffus here, Baby Boo gave me a few minutes break from the kitchen to blog to our friends. We are all going to have lots to eat if anyone would like to stop by. I made a lemon cream cheese pie, sprinkled with catnip. Mmmmm Yummy!!! I can hardly keep my paws out of it. And Baby Boo said I can't have any until after dinner tomorrow. Ahgggggg!!! Well, yesterday was human brother's birthday and mommy came home from work with a big cake. She didn't even give us any. How rude! Anyway, human bro (Lee) wanted to go the movies and out to eat. So, off they went and didn't even include us kitties. That to is rude. And besides being rude, they got home really late. To late to even get on the computer to do any blogging. That in itself is just down right rude. MEOW!!!!!!! Well all is forgiven when Lee came downstairs this morning and gave each of us kitty scratches and pets. Man, you got to love those humans. Everything is going great! Mom changed our diet because our vet said some of us are too fat. Can you believe it? I’m not fat, but I have to go on a diet anyway because of some of my housemates (yuck). It’s OK the new food is very tasty and so far mom has not instituted portion control. I wish some of the others would run it off like I do, but I think they are just too lazy. Hey everyone, Duffus here. I'm coping and pasting, we are so behind in blogs. It all started Tuesday night. Poor mommy, still had a bad headache, and she had taken her meds. (Which makes her sleepy). When human brother (Lee)'s school called. They were taking him to the emergency vet. He had a very bad stomach ache. Mommy was very worried and upset. Tiger Man thinks maybe one of his spiders had gotten into human bro's luggage when he was down here and human brother probably eat him. Anyway, the vet called mommy around 10 that night and said it was his appendix (whatever that is) and will have to have surgery the next morning. Probably to take out the spiders furry legs. Mommy told him that she couldn't leave due to meds until Wednesday morning. It is a 4 hour drive up to Gainesville, Florida and Daddy couldn't go with her. So, she left early Wednesday and got there around 11 after his surgery. The vet wouldn't release him until Thursday afternoon. Poor mommy had to sleep in a chair without us. Well, she said she didn't get that much sleep. Probably because we weren't with her. Anyway, after he was discharged they had to drive to his school and get a medical leave and then drive all the way back here. Took them almost 6 hours. Mommy said there were some very bad storms on the way home. By the time they got home it was way passed time for bed, so mommy called in at work again. We all sleep around mommy when she finally went to bed. It was so good having her home and safe. Lee (human bro) is fine. He is walking around slowly. Tiger Man meowed at him something about that services you right for eating my spider. Baby Boo was going to make a big pot of spider soup (not letting mommy know what was in it) but Tiger Man wouldn’t give up any of his spiders. He meowed that the human brother had his limit. I meowed to Tiger Man that he wasn’t sure it was the spider that made his stomach hurt. He meowed that it was because he was missing a spider since human bro left to go back to school and TM believes Lee took it out of TM’s box. MOL!!! Oh, well, things are getting back to normal here. Human bro will be here for about 3 to 4 weeks before heading back. TM is busy trying to find another hiding place for his spiders. And Baby Boo is back to cooking again. Mommy is feeling better too. Mommy did it again to poor Tiger Man. Around midnight we kitties were all sitting in the bathroom looking up at the window at this black bug that was just sitting there on the wall. Tiger Man was sitting on the sink just waiting for it to come down so he can pounce on it. Well, mommy woke up and was going downstairs to get some water. I told Tiger Man to look innocent and not stare at the bug. When mommy walked by she saw us kitties, (I was cleaning my paw, not looking at the bug, well, trying not to. But Tiger Man wouldn't stop from looking up) Anyway, mommy looked up and saw the big black bug. Then she left. Tiger Man said that she won't get it, that she is leaving it for him. Well, 2 minutes later, here comes mommy, and this time she kept her slippers on and had a swatter thing. She swatted the bug. He fell to the floor. Mommy scoop him up with tp and flushed him. Poor Tiger Man, he wanted that big bug too. Mommy said it was a water bug and comes in when it rains alot. Needless to say, Tiger Man didn't go in and sleep with Mommy. We were unable to get on the computer yesterday, due to all the dooming and lighting going on outside. So glad we are inside kitties. Everytime mommy said it's ok to get on, here it comes again and we had to get off. Not one blog was I able to do. Uggghhhhh!!!! Mommy is feeling a little better. She said she still has a slight headache, which she said is caused by the weather. Now, that I don't understand. How can the weather make you have headaches? MOL!! Thanks to everyone who wished our mom a Happy Birthday. Well mom had an eventful day. First she got up early and went the laundry mat with her neighbor. They went home and then had to go back for the rugs. Then mom fell down in the back form and hurt her right foot and left knee. Then she discovered that he wallet was missing and went back to the laundry mat to see if it was found there. When she got there the water pump went out on her car. Her son came with his girlfriend and gave her a ride home and AAA brought the car home. Her son was fixing the car so she borrowed the neighbors’ car to go get the part for her car and the brakes went out on the neighbors’ car. She made it home and decided she better stay home for the rest of the day so nothing else bad could happen. We hung out with mom all day to try and cheer her up. suppose to be a trip to get a free Ipod, but mom for the first time loved them. cape cod just down beach from where mom had a cottage as a kid~~ and easy drive from home. Well mom decided to say home this weekend. We’re going to stay in on Labor Day and avoid the crowds. We are going to have Catnip and Temptations. Mom was going to go camping but changed her mind so we get her to ourselves. There are 7 of us; we have blogs for only 4 of us. We’ve had a quiet day. No fighting just hanging out in the window in the sunshine. We are enjoying our Pet Fountain very much and love drinking the running water from the top. I have to hurry to write this note and give it to our friends because mom is very upset with Tiger who woke her up fighting with Sylvester. We are inside only kitties and sometimes we get on each others nerves. Well actually it’s Tiger who gets on everybody’s nerves. The rest of us are very content and peaceful. We live right on a very busy Highway called Aurora Ave N, or Hwy 99, and it’s definitely not safe for us to go outside. Mom buys us toys and treats and cracks the windows for us to smell outside to keep us entertained. We’re very content here and never make any attempt to leave. We love our mom very much. Chloe was heartbroken when mom was gone for three weeks in the hospital a few years ago and she wouldn’t eat or play. It was warm today and we lounged in the windows in the sun for most of the day. We got a new water fountain called a Deluxe Fresh Flow and after the novelty wore off we all got used to using it without playing in it to much. It saves mom some time because she doesn’t have to clean out the water bowl constantly. The water tastes great you should try one. Here’s a vote for you. Well we had great Cake Day yesterday mom played with us and ate Angel Food Cake with us. We pulled almost all of the toys out of the toy box and ran all over the house playing and scattering toys. A Stormy Day
It's been storming again all afternoon!!!! It was so nice being an inside kitty. Until mom got home from work. One minute it was nice and quite and the next minute there was a crazy lady flying through the door getting water everywhere. She was soaked, I walked over to sniff her and she petted me. UGHH!!!!! Her hands were wet. Now, my fur has to be groomed again. Can you believe it!! She got me wet. It was terrible, she then leaned over to take her shoes off and water dipped all over me. MEOW!!!!! I stormed up stairs to the bedroom to start my grooming all over again. How inconsiderate of her. And what was she doing playing in the rain? MOL!!! Here's your wet vote. Big Purrs.
