How We Met
I had told a regular customer of mine about losing my black cat I had had for so long and how heart broken and sad I was,\. She called me one day at work to tell me there was a little bitty, tiny, black kitten at the shelter and I should go see it. I did and it was little and trying her best to find a way out of the cage. She stuck her paw through the cage and feebily moewed at me. She was so little and reaching out to me!That's all it took! She was only three weeks old and on a bottle. My husband and I took turns feeding her. We named her Chomper because she would leap from one lap to the other, mouth open and claws out. She is a little cutie. UPDATE ON BLACKIE- HE CROSSED OVER TO THE LAND OF THE RAINBOW BRIDGE 7;48 9-22-07 ALONG WITH NEW FRIENDS MANIE AND PATCH. THEY WERE PAW IN PAW AND WEARING THEIR COTD BADGES PROUDLY. PLEASE REMEMBER THEIR FAMILIES IN YOUR PRAYERS ALSO.

NOV 12TH.. 2 DAYS AFTER HIS 6TH BIRTHDAY..NOV 10/01--NOV 12/07.(See his pic on bottom of my pg)..I hope your spirits run free, .dashing & playing in meadows of sweet timothy grass, with cool waters to sip & sweet fruits to nibble & play with. May you have places to explore, treats beyond measure,& cardboard to nibble..You'll live for always in my heart,. My sweet furever bunny..BUGSY..BARTS DAD 99156. hurt self moving tree limb out of driveway-pulled muscle- in alot of pain! - refuses to go to hospital..INKY'S MOM 28086- endoscopy Fri & 1ST wk of Dec. for PAD (leg vein Dr.)-taking care of her Dad - is almost skeleton now with pancreatic ca. New grandbaby due after Thanksgiving - daughter-in-law has pre-eclampsia - must stay off feet. Mom thinks it might be broke but Dad wouldnt let her call ambulance.. he wants to wait & call surgeon who is going to do amputation. So Mom is going to call the dr. He is in so much pain. - foot is twice size it is supposed to be - is also cut & bruised bad..EDDIES MOM 153057..her landlord has a kitten Eddie's age - he was hit by car..His leg & foot were pretty messed up & ER Vet suggested amputation. other options-saw special Vet surgeon-he worked on leg & foot & is cautiously optimistic that leg might be saved but one toe is not good.. His folks are lost without him. will be in hospital until Sat or longer.They will never let him go outdoors alone again..PADDY UPDATE!!! 99342..He has been trying to keep his eye open much of the time!! then went to bed. He has made it past the crisis and is eating norm. Sleep is his way of healing..HIS MOM..really sore- had a broken nose - concussion more severe ..MITTENS GRANDMA'S CAT TIGGER 62059 CROSSED RAINBOW BRIDGE NOV 11 & HER GRANDMA'S 1ST COUSIN ALSO passed away from MRSA NOV 10.. JESSE'S MOM 21112..Her hand is healing, but still hurts her to try to type much with that darned cast on..SYLVESTERS MOM 63773..having alot of pain on R side- tests norm - was given a stronger painkiller - now is pain free ..SIR LEO'S .MOM 129433. WAS NAUSEOUS AFTER HER BARIUM TEST. . No news is good news, therefore you are responsible for sitting squarely on spot of newspaper which your human is reading. .My cat is not hydrophobic; she has an inability to appreciate moisture ..THE CATS BILL OF RIGHTS..4) Humans shall issue no warrants or decrees or edicts as prescribed to demarcation of possessions or property which are in direct conflict with right of life, liberty and the pursuit of feline affirmation. In other words: The cat is entitled to sleep ANYWHERE he wants .. DEAR CAT FROM MOM.. I cant buy anything bigger than a king size bed. I am very sorry about this. No prostate cancer! .. infection causing prostate reading to be high. Did another & he's fine!" CALIFORNIA KITTIES - GATHER AROUND PLEASE
As we all are too aware, fire season is on us and have had a VERY dry year. I had a idea that might help our friends across CC know that we are safe (or not) in the event of fires this year. I have listed all the ACTIVE CA kitties that I can find, below. If you know of any others, please let me know.
What I would like to see us do is report to the NATURAL DISASTER WATCH PAGE 100058 if there is a fire in our area; just check in and let our friends know that we are safe. Last year some of us scrambled trying to find out if others were safe and we certainly don't want to go through that again. Also, if any of us know of another who is in harm's way, we should post updates to the Storm Watch Page so we stick to the reported facts. Lastly, if any then suffers from fire damage or loss, we all can rally around; after all, that is what the CC family is all about.
We can also apply this in the event of significant earthquakes.

I found this to be interesting about which cats are most popular and thought I would share it with you. Of course, mom loves all cats, in case you didn't realize it!! MOL!!
We have been asked by several friends how we got our names so I thought I would share it in several parts. We did this a little over a year ago so some of you may remember but we also added some to it as well.
Mom heard a noise in the backyard this morning only to see kitties running and this little Yorkie dog chasing behind. First after Velvet 10732 the hot after NeuBee 123633. The dog and NeuBee disappeared when mom heard this yelping and out came the little dog faster than he went in. You Go NeuBee!! NeuBee sure showed it who was boss here. Mom had some words with the owner as well.
Velvet is still not letting dad get close to her since he pulled her tail last week all cuz of mistaken identity. MOL!! Mom can hold and pet her with no problem.
Our May Queen is now in sight,
