You don't even know how much you have brightened up my days
Just by your mere existence.
You have brought me pure joy in so many ways.
I love the sound of your meow
And the hum of your gentle purr
When you are lying on my lap
And I am stroking your soft fur.
I like the way we play
When I wave your feather toy around.
You jump up to bat at it and do funny flips
And then land safely back on the ground.
I like when you brush against my leg in the morning
When you want to be fed.
I love how you cuddle up next to me
While I am lying in bed.
I feel like you just know
When I am feeling down
Because those are the times
That you always come around.
Oh little creature
Without you, what would I do?
You probably don't even know

It's good to hear from you. What a cute profile pic! How were your holidays? We enjoyed Mommy’s 10 days off from work. She spent a lot of time with us, sleeping and eating. Our motto is . . . if it’s worth doing, it’s worth over-doing!
Santa Claws was very,very good to us. He brought me a track for my nano hexbugs, a PetStages flashing firefly mat that lights up, some goldfish, & a new food mat that says “Where is that darn waitress?” (photos on bottom of my page) He brought my sisters some catnip purrmuda triangles. Santa also brought Mommy a new Dell Inspiron 17 inch laptop with a pink Chicago Cubs lid and a pink & black monogrammed zebra stripe case. Nana got a Nook Color and PawPaw got mew Taylor Made golf clubs. What did Santa Paws bring you?

Hello Tessie
How are you? Brrr! It has been very cold here all week with record low temps. Today we are having rain/sleet/snow flurries here in southwest Mississippi & we are under a hard freeze warning. Tonight it is supposed to be 18 degrees & tomorrow only 28. We are not used to having such cold weather for so long a period of time. Hopefully we won’t get iced in. Mommy is still trying to get back in the swing of things since she was off from work for 10 days during the holidays. We miss her not being home with us all day now & she misses us during the day too. Thank goodness for Nana our babysitter! Stay warm. How are you? We are being extra good since Santa Claws will be here soon although I was nosey and saw some presents in Mommy’s closet. I think they might all be for ME, so please don’t tell Merrybelle or Casper Todd. Tee hee.
We are bummed that our Dr. William did not win Cat Fancy’s “Thank Your Vet for a Healthy Pet” contest. The winners were finally in the February Cat Fancy. We think Dr. William should have won since he did such a purrfect job helping make Casper Todd well again. So actually he did win in our eyes!
As we count our blessings this Christmas season, we are very fortunate to have a wonderful furever home, a loving family, our health, all the necessities & extra amenities we need & want, plus purrfect furiends like you. We wish all homeless babies could have the same life we do.

Another crazy week - working many hours - worked all 7 days last week (although not a full day everyday!). Mom and Aunt Linda went out and did grocery shopping and also did what many of you did - looked for after Thanksgiving specials Saturday night and Sunday afternoon (church Sunday morning). I think I've told you before that Aunt Linda is a social worker at the VA Hospital in Phoenix. The VA has a working arrangement with the Arizona State University School of Social Work, in that Master students each semester come to work as interns at the VA. Linda is one of the field instructors/supervisors and usually has at least one student each semester. One of them from this last semester gave Aunt Linda 2 tickets to the Christmas concert put on by the Tempe Symphony Orchestra. Sometimes their concerts are at the Tempe Center for the Arts, but this one was at Grady Gammage Auditorium which is at Arizona State University. Our seats were great, 4th row, near center. It was a night of wondeful music which ended in Christmas music and a group audience sing for all of Xmas favorites. We ended the evening by eating pancakes at IHOP at 9:30 at night - nothing better than coffee and pancakes!! It was also fun to be there because ASU is the alma mater for both mom and Aunt Linda (history and social work, respectively). Here's a mid week Arizona vote for you. Tessy and family,
The past week was busy. Mom had to work many hours, and mom and Aunt Linda also had their water heater die on them. We were without water inside the house for almost 2 days. But, a new water heater has now been installed, and we again have water inside - yeah! Also, mom and Aunt Linda trapped 2 feral kitties that have been hanging around for almost a year this past week. They are now awaiting trips to the vet for their shots and neutering/spaying before they join the rest of us kitties. They don't have names yet - but one has mostly black fur with white markings and huge paws and is a male. The other is a much smaller female, a grey-striped tabby with what mom says is "a very sweet face". Both are very wild, so mom and Aunt Linda have their work cut out for them to perform their usual magic in helping them integrate into the household and learn to slowly, very slowly trust. It has been a week of fairly stable temperatures. Temp highs between 78 and 83 and lows between 45 and 55 - forecast is for much the same over next 5 days. We had rain here one day last week, otherwise it has been clear. Celebrate!
On 09/18/2008, I was King for a Day. I woke mom up early - I was ready for my first special treat. Mom gave me some tuna wet cat food, which is my most favorite thing. Darling and Sabrina wanted to make me breakfast in bed, so I gallantly went back to bed. After breakfast, I had my nails buffed, and then we all retired to the open screened window to watch the birds outside. After a lunch of delicacies, mom set up the DVD so we could watch our favorite movies. Then we laid down for a relaxing afternoon nap. We had to rest up because mom had arranged a big party with all the neighborhood invited (in my honor of course). We bobbed for fish (just plastic - mom doesn't like us torturing any live things - she even catches and puts our bugs outdoors), played Kitty Monopoly and Kitty Charades, and - WOW - you should have seen the fireworks. Thanks so much for celebrating this occasion with me. A CHRISTMAS TREE? We don't have one of those at our house. Moms KNOWS we would climb and probably tip it over or eat the ornaments. Maybe I can talk her into it -- it sounds like so much fun. Chai-Chai thanks all! She had a rough day we had bad thunder storms here. I went to work early to check the computer because mine was unplugged because of the storms. Chai-Chai deserves this. I finally got Mom's eye all better, or at least enough to see and help me blog with all my purr pals, MOL!!! Nothing much going on here...I see there has been more BP activity, I'm sure glad he didn't show up here. "Invader" update...
Well I have a quite a bit to let you know about the "invader". We don't know what her name is, since she was just found on the streets cold and hungry, so Dad named her "Fizzle". We also have no idea how old she is, but Mom and Dad weighed her and even though she looks bigger than me she only weighed a little over 7 lbs. So I out weigh her by about a pound. Fizzle and I have been getting along a little better today, even though she tryed to chase me away from my own food bowl and my Mom's bed. Mom told her no and took my food bowl away to a place only I could go. Mom also told her that I am allowed on the bed and put me back up there, so we laid at opposite ends of the bed and sniffed each other. I seen Fizzle starting to play with some of my toys and went and told Mom, so Mom got her a new mouse out of the cabinet and we gave it to her, she played with it a little but then wanted my mouse so I decided to be nice and traded with her. Mom got a call later today that someone has reported a missing Maine Coon, and we should find out tomorrow if it is Fizzle's family. I will let you know as soon as I can if I have the house back to myself.
