Hi Angel K. Anderson, Dean, Legend & Mom!
Whew! We had major computer problems yesterday so we weren’t able to finish our meows to all our furiends. Turns out there was an infected file in Mom’s computer, causing it to keep locking up! Mom found the bad file using our “MacKeeper” utility and was able to delete it. She had to reinstall the browser,“Google Chrome,” and while she was cleaning her computer I suggested she backup all my priceless CC blogs from our furiends. It looks like we’re good to go now!

Mom visited Abarna, our next door neighbor, at the hospital yesterday and will go back later this afternoon. Abarna has family from out of town visiting her, so that has lifted her spirits. Mom gives her daily reports on Ebony and Sugar Bear, which makes her smile too. The two kitties are doing fine

Mom got a surprise call from Pepper’s Mom. (Pepper was the little gray kitty that was lost, but now reunited with her family.) Her Mom called to say Pepper is doing very well and enjoys her mew cat tree. The cat tree has three tiers, the top being a small A-framed house for her to hide. It turns out Pepper likes her privacy and has been sleeping in the A-frame house at night! The little yappy dog she lives with is beginning to settle down and accept Pepper as his new housemate.

Today the temps are supposed to be in the three digits (yikes!), but tomorrow it will start to cool back down.

Oh no! Your Mom's mew fan didn't work?! My Mom hates it when she gets something mew, sets it all up and then nothing! And of course that was the last thing your dear Mom needed with her hurt foot! Gee whiz! We have our paws crossed that the replacement works!

Wow! 50 grape tomatoes! Bet they are yummy! Give your Mom a soft hug for us. We're keeping her in our prayers.

We left a vote with soft purrs, warm hugs and prayers for our furiends and their families in need.

Hi Angel K. Anderson, Dean, Legend & Mom!
We’re gearing up for some more hot weather this week. Today is in the mid 80’s, but by tomorrow we’ll be back in the 90’s and maybe even triple degrees on Wednesday. So no catnapping on the deck during the day for us. Thankfully we have A/C so we can all pick our favorite spots in the house and rest comfortably.

Our pawrents spent the weekend visiting Ebony and Sugar Bear’s Mom Abarna in the hospital. Abarna gave everyone a scare on Sunday when her heart rhythms became irregular, but the hospital staff has been closely monitoring her vitals and today she seems to be doing better. Ebony and Sugar Bear are doing great, always happy to see our Mom when she goes to feed them. Since my Mom is always gone for an hour or two, we’re pretty sure she is over there playing cat games and reading to the two kitties. That’s okay. Mom always spends time with us too!

We're glad to hear your smart Mom takes lots of vitamins. Our Mom does too and she finally has gotten our Dad to take the vitamins he needs. We hope your Mom's foot is feeling a little better each day. We have her in our prayers and are always sending pawsitive healing vibes her way. It couldn't hurt. MOL! Give her a hug for us.

We left a vote with soft purrs, warm hugs and prayers for our furiends and their families in need.

Hi Angel K. Anderson, Dean, Legend & Mom!
Oh your poor Mom! Does she take vitamins every day, like calcium and vitamin D? When our Dad broke his ankle on the stairs, he didn't fall or trip either. Mom was walking behind him and saw his foot just suddenly turn in a very unnatural way. When he sat down on the stairs, his foot looked like a rag doll. Mom knew right away she needed to call 911! We have your Mom in our prayers. Give her lots of purrs and hugs.

I know I already told you kitties our happy mews yesterday at hockey practice, but here are the details...

The little lost gray kitty is back with her family! My Mom had thought the little kitty was a male, but in fact, “HE” is really a “SHE.” (Shows you how much my Mom knows!)

Late Thursday night we got a call from a young man saying he saw one of the “Found Cat” flyers that my Mom had posted on the walking trail by our house and he thought it looked like his Mom's cat whom had been missing for 4 months. It was late, so we had to wait until the next day to meet with them.

Friday morning it was confirmed! The kitty is named Pepper and she is three years old. Apparently the Mom recently moved in with her daughter and Pepper ran away during the move over 4 months ago. Their home is less than a mile away from us! It was a heartwarming reunion. The lady was recovering from some sort of major surgery, so she looked very weak. When Mom put Pepper in her arms, she broke into tears.

The lady expressed concern about her daughter having a small dog in the house and she thought that was why Pepper ran away. We happened to have an extra cat tree for Pepper to use as an escape from the doggie. Mom and Dad drove to her house, set up the cat tree in her bedroom and told her the cat just needs to be able to escape somewhere safe from the dog. The dog is a small Chihuahua and very yappy. Mom advised her to give them both time to get acquainted, but NOT to let the cat outside for a few weeks. Mom also suggested getting Pepper a microchip, just in case. We are so relieved for Pepper and her family! We know all your prayers helped and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

More good mews- our neighbor Abarna is doing much better after her heart attack and bypass surgery. Mom visits her every day and gives her updates on Ebony and Sugar Bear, who are both doing fine. The doctors won’t say when Abarna might be released from the hospital, but her primary doctor said if she keeps improving the way she is, she might be back home late next week.

We left a vote with soft purrs, warm hugs and prayers for our furiends and their families in need.

Hi Angel K. Anderson, Dean, Legend & Mom!
I know it’s been a few days since my last meow and I have some good mews and bad mews. The bad mews is our next door neighbor, Abarna, had a heart attack and had bypass surgery yesterday. Abarna is the nice lady who adopted Ebony and Sugar Bear. The good mews is Abarna’s doctor is hopeful she’ll recover. Her son is staying with her at the hospital and my Mom is taking care of the kitties until she can come home.

Mews on the little gray kitty... Unfortunately, the home Mom had lined up for the little gray kitty didn't work out. The nice lady from Alley Cat Allies wanted to take him, but her husband did not. Apparently she is still trying to convince her husband. In the meantime, she will help Mom try to find a home for the little kitty. Since she is a vet assistant and volunteers for Alley Cat Allies, she has a lot more resources than Mom does. The kitty is doing fine at our house. He likes the cathouse during the day and Mom locks him up in the garage and backyard at night to keep him safe. Mom keeps checking at the local animal shelter to see if anyone has been looking for him, but no luck yet. If nothing comes up, my Mom plans on taking him to our vet for a checkup, vaccinations and to make sure he has been fixed. Mom hasn’t taken him to the vet yet because we really thought we would have found his family by now. He seems very healthy, so waiting until next week to see the vet should be okay. I also have my urine retest at the end of the month, so it will remain hectic around here for a while. (Sigh!)

Oh no! Your Mom has a stress fracture in her foot?! How did that happen? We hope it goes well for her at the Orthopedic doctor. We'll be praying for her dear furiend. We hope it isn't too hard for her to use crutches. When my Dad had his broken ankle, he had a heck of a time walking on crutches. Give your sweet Mom a soft hug for us.

We left a vote with soft purrs, warm hugs and prayers for our furiends and their families in need.

Hi Angel K. Anderson, Dean, Legend & Mom!
It was another hot day in the 90’s today, only this time we had humidity too! Yuck! We kept hoping we would get some of the rain that Southern California got, but no luck.

Our Mom took Callie and me out for a ride in our cat stroller at 5 a.m. and it was already 68 degrees outside. We filled the bucket with water by the dry creek and sprinkled birdseed along the trail. Everything looks very dry.

We are all doing fine. I won’t see the vet for my urine retest until the end of the month. I’ve been eating a little bit more of my prescription cat food, but not as much as my Mom would like. She has been supplementing what I eat with two syringes filled with my food pureed in the blender. At first I protested, but it’s not really that bad. Mom will monitor my weight and see how everything goes when I visit the vet.

Our furiends next door, Ebony and Sugar Bear are doing fine too. Ebony has been sneezing a lot lately according to his Mom Abarna, so my Mom is going to take Ebony to the vet tomorrow for a check up. A couple of months ago he was treated for an Upper Respiratory Infection, so Mom wants to play it safe and catch it before it gets worse.

We hope your weather cools off soon. Hot and muggy is the worst. Stay cool and safe dear furiends and drink lots of water.

We left a vote with soft purrs, warm hugs and prayers for our furiends and their families in need.

Hi A Anderson
We are sure having an exciting day here on the Rainbow bridge. Lots of sun and some kitties are flying kites while others, like me and some friends are going canoeing down the Meowzers River...such a great day to be on the water.

Tonight we are gathering by the Stream and roasting marshmallows/and or smores and drinking whatever suits your fancy and just chatting about our lives and catching up with our good friends!

I hear it is very hot and humid in places there on earth as well, our mom is roasting..it is 88* and humid where she lives..mom said she sweats sitting in the shade on days like this!

Tomorrow I plan to go trout fishing{AJ} while A Shadow stays at home and tends her garden..she says the weeds grow faster then kittens do! After she tends her garden she has a few dozen cupcakes and catnip muffins to bake for a big party she was invited to...seems one the Angels is getting married and she is having a shower...no boy cats can go..Ummmm!!!

We are hoping the groom cat throws a bachelor party for us...that would be so cool! We did have one when a couple of dog friends of ours got married!

Have a super pawsome day!

Hi Angel K. Anderson, Dean, Legend & Mom!
Mom and Dad were gone all morning, so us kitties had the run of the house. Dad is having major dental work done to have implants and a bridge put in. It is a long, slow process. Today he sat in the dentist chair for 3 long hours. Mom went with him for moral support and to drive him home. The dentist didn’t finish what he had set out to do, so they have to go back again tomorrow. Yes, the dentist only works on Saturdays for special cases. Our Dad wants to get all this over with before the school year starts again, but it won’t be possible. At least Dad will have temporary teeth to wear to school. Can’t have a teacher missing his bottom front teeth! MOL!

We are all doing fine. The little lost kitty is getting used to sleeping in the backyard at night and he likes to nap in the garage during the day. It’s in the 90’s again, so Mom has a fan in the garage, along with cold water and cat treats. It’s not too bad.

We continue to keep Queen Lady Dolly’s Mom Janada in our prayers, along with all our other dear CC friends.

Hi Angel K. Anderson, Dean, Legend & Mom!
My Mom got two calls in response to her “Found Cat” flyer. Mom didn’t feel comfortable giving out our home address to strangers, so she arranged to meet both parties at a nearby shopping center. So off they went, the little gray kitty and Mom on a field trip. Sadly, our little lost furiend was not the cat either family was searching for. We can tell our Mom is already getting attached to the little guy, but she knows he deserves a good home as an inside kitty. Thankfully if we don’t find his real family, he’ll have a new one waiting for him with the lady from Alley Cat Allies.

Wow! Your Mom's tomato plants sound awesome! Bet she can't wait to eat them!

Hi A Anderson
Momma went to the Dr today and her colonoscopy report came back normal, so did all her blood-work, so everything is good there. Now the Dr wants mom to have a CT scan cause he felt something like a mass on the left side of her tummy when he pressed down on it and mom winced, so there is something there and he just wants to make sure what it is ...could be nothing!

He said mom was looking good with the weight loss and looked 'rosy' and not pale/ashen like the last time he saw her. Mom is in good spirits.

She is still having somewhat of a hard time 'going' so he wrote her a prescription for a constipation medication called "Lamtiza" to take 2 times a day.

He did tell mom it will take some time for her body to recover from all the trauma of the past 6 weeks though, so she needs to be patient.

Then mom went to Walmart and she bought home some new treats that Meow Mix makes. Seems all the major cat food brands want us to eat treats, they have soft and crunchy, we got crunchy, but we have not tried them yet, but when we do, we will let you know how good they are, {or not}.

We got to spend the day outside cause mom's neighbor was home and she said she would keep an eye on us, and we can get in if we want cause mom has the screen door open, but the steel gate is locked, but we can fit through the bars!

Mom came out with us when she got home and we all wanted to be pet at the same time, we all missed her, but I was most determined and kept stretching my paw and batting mom on the arm..me me me, it's my turn now!

I sure hope you have a pawsome evening!
Purrs and big pawhuggz

Hi Angel K. Anderson, Dean, Legend & Mom!
We apologize for not meowing the past couple of days. My Dad’s son and his family came to visit and they brought baby George. It has already been almost 3 years since my Mom flew out to North Carolina to help her stepson and his wife, after George was born. And this was the first time that our Dad got to meet his grandson! Needless to say, baby George is not a baby anymore. He is an adorable toddler and we all had a nice visit. They could only stay for two days because they wanted to fly to San Diego to visit GM. They’ll stay with GM two days and then head back to North Carolina.

All of us kitties stayed hiding in our bedroom while we had a little tyke running around the house, but the lost kitty staying in the cathouse in our yard, came out to meet everyone and even let George pet him! The little lost kitty is very loving and trusting. No one has called looking for him, but Mom is still giving it one more week before she takes him to his new furever home with the nice lady from Alley Cat Allies.

Hi Angel K. Anderson, Dean, Legend & Mom!
The temperature is slowly beginning to creep up. We are still in the low 80’s, but next week will be back to the 90’s. All of us kitties are enjoying the backyard deck while we can. My Mom opened the garage door so the little lost kitty can get out of the sun. Mom set up a fan in the garage to keep it sort of cool and she put a cat bed inside, along with cold water and Temptation treats. The cathouse in the front is great for sleeping at night, but it’s too warm to sleep in during the day. A couple of raccoons have been showing up in the evening, probably looking for water. My Mom was worried the kitty might get hurt by them, so she put him the backyard last night to sleep. The backyard has a cat fence to keep him safe. Of course after my Mom let the little guy back out this morning, my sisters and I had to sniff out the yard, trying to figure out who the new interloper is. MOL!

We're glad to hear the storms have missed you guys! We have our paws crossed it stays that way!

Hi Angel K. Anderson, Dean, Legend & Mom!
It’s another overcast day in the 70’s here. We even got a few raindrops this morning! They dried up as soon as they hit the ground and got the cars dirty, but it felt nice. We went on our stroller walk this morning, filled the water bucket up by the creek and Mom put up more flyers for the “Found Cat” along the walking trail. No calls yet but we’re hopeful. When Mom fed the little gray kitty this morning, after he finished eating, he rolled over on his back wanting a belly rub! Mom couldn’t resist. He is such a loving kitty. Maybe too much! But he is staying in our front yard, either in or on top of the cathouse, or sitting on the front door steps.

I have been eating a little more of my new prescription cat food. I overheard my pawrents saying if I didn’t start eating more, they would puree the cat food in a blender and feed me with a syringe. Yikes! I don’t want that!

We hope the severe weather doesn't get too close to your home! We'll keep your family in our prayers my furiend.

Hi Angel K. Anderson, Dean, Legend & Mom!
The temperature was in the low 70’s today with lots of cloud cover, but no rain. It was a nice morning to walk on the trail by our house in our cat stroller. We always fill the water bucket by the dry creek and scatter birdseed along the way. The lost kitty was asleep in the cathouse when we left for our walk this morning. He peeked out and went back to sleep. It was 5 A.M. MOL! The little guy has quieted down, only meowing when he’s hungry. We posted a picture of him in my gallery. He’s a real cutie-pie!

So today Mom took flyers to the local animal shelter, rescue groups and several vets in our area. She also posted a digital “Found Cat” flyer on 2 websites for Lost & Found Pets. (PetFBI.org and FindToto.com)

My Mom also met with her friend from Alley Cat Allies and another volunteer named Christina. Christina saw the pictures of the little guy and is very interested in adopting him if we can’t find his real home. She gave my Mom her business card and seems to be a very nice lady. She works as a vet assistant and does volunteer work for Alley Cat Allies in her spare time. Christina wants to come by our house next weekend to meet him! Even if the kitty’s family comes by to claim him a few weeks from now, at least we’ll know where he is and he’ll have a safe and loving home in the meantime. Keep your paws crossed.:)

Hi Angel K. Anderson, Dean, Legend & Mom!
Our weather has cooled down considerably compared to last week. Today we are in the mid 70’s and the rest of the week will only get to the low 80’s. Hooray! No rain predicted for us, but we’ll take the cooler temperatures.

The little lost gray kitty spent the night in our outside cathouse. My Mom made it nice and cozy with fresh bedding and blankets. He was meowing early this morning, so Mom went out to feed him and he quieted down. Hope your Mom's foot is all better soon. Our mom has the same problem, If she gets hurt she has to hobble around the best she can, cause we have to be cared for. Fed, scooped, brushed. Otherwise, she would have to send us to the vet and she would not like that and neither would we. J.C.

Hi Angel K. Anderson, Dean, Legend & Mom!
There was a cat meowing in front of our house this morning, hiding under our van parked in the driveway. When my Mom went to check it out, she saw a small gray kitty just sitting there crying. So of course Mom ran to get a bowl of food, hopefully to coax him out. The cat was hungry so he ate as soon as my Mom backed away. But afterwards, he stayed under the van meowing like crazy.

Well Mom had the cat carrier ready and she managed to grab the cat. Hoping he had a microchip, Mom took him to our vet to be scanned. The cat does not have a microchip, but his claws looked to be recently trimmed and he seems very domesticated. He never growled or hissed as the vet checked him over. He also has a small spot on his neck that looks like it was recently shaved. Anyway, the vet suggested to Mom to bring him back home and just feed him for the next few days. Mom took a picture of him and made up some flyers to post around the neighborhood. So Mom brought him home, he ate and went running down the street. Later as Mom was posting the “Found Cat” flyers, the kitty would appear and followed Mom around the block by our house.

Needless to say our Dad is not happy, but the cat needs our help so we’re not going to turn our backs on him. If he is still hanging around in a couple of weeks, my Mom will take him back to the vet for a checkup to make sure he is fixed and has his shots. We have the empty cathouse out in the front yard and there is also a cat feeding station, so the little guy won’t starve and he has a place to sleep.

My Mom is going to walk the trail by our house and post some more flyers. She is also going to contact her friend from Alley Cat Allies. This cat is very adoptable and deserves a chance at a home; if he doesn’t already have one. We have our paws crossed!

I was glad to hear you say that prescription cat food is okay, but the most important thing is that the cat eats it! My Mom has to spice up my prescription food with a little tuna juice or chicken broth to tempt me. So far it's working, but I'm not eating as much as my Mom would like. Mom is keeping a close eye on me.

We left a vote with soft purrs, warm hugs and prayers for our furiends and their families in need.

Hi Angel K. Anderson, Dean, Legend & Mom!
We had a nice 4th of July here at home. Fireworks could be heard going off outside, but our pawrents had the house closed up tight with music playing as we watched the fireworks on TV.

Sunday my Dad’s brother and his family came over for a barbeque. Since us cats don’t really care for company, we all stayed upstairs but Mom left the bedroom door open so we could occasionally peek out.

I’m doing fine, happy to be finished with my medicines. I’m still trying to adjust to the new prescription food. Mom is trying two different brands of the urinary care cat food - Royal Canin and Hill’s C/D. I seem to prefer the Royal Canin, but my sisters like the Hill’s C/D. That’s okay. My Mom says we can have both, as long as we all eat!

We left a vote with soft purrs, warm hugs and prayers for our furiends and their families in need.

Hi Angel K. Anderson, Dean, Legend & Mom!
This morning was the first day in over a month that I did NOT have to have any doses of antibiotics. Hooray! Set off the fireworks! Okay, we have more important things to celebrate tomorrow on Independence Day!

Have a wonderful 4th of July holiday, but remember - unlike people, pets don’t associate the noise, flashes, and burning smell of pyrotechnics with celebrations. Pets are terrified of fireworks, and often panic at the loud whizzes and bangs they produce.

Did you know July 5th is the busiest day of the year for animal shelters? Yup! The day after the 4th of July, animal shelters are inundated with pets that panicked at the noise of firecrackers and fled into the night, winding up lost, injured or killed.

CC pawrents know all this, but maybe they can remind their friends. With a little thought, they can prevent the holiday celebration from turning into a tragedy.

We left a vote with soft purrs, warm hugs and prayers for our furiends and their families in need.

Hi Angel K. Anderson, Dean, Legend & Mom!
Good mews! Today is the last day that I have to take my medicines. Well, this evening will be the last. And now I get a whole month without that awful stuff. My Mom is already worrying about a month from now when I get my urine retested, but we’re hoping with my new prescription food diet that everything will be fine. Thanks again for all your get well wishes and prayers. CC furiends are the best medicine!

Last night there was a ruckus in our front yard. My Mom ran outside when she heard a dog barking and kids yelling. Two small boys had dropped the leash on their dog and the dog was on the side of our house, barking at the cathouse that my Mom keeps out there. (It used to be for Ebony and Sugar Bear.) The door to the cathouse is a round hole, much too small for most dogs. My Mom grabbed the dog’s leash and pulled him away from the cathouse. The two boys, whose Dad had come by now, were glad to have their dog back. They said he had chased a cat into the cathouse!

SO after they left, Mom peeked inside the cathouse and saw a frightened cat inside! She ran to get a cat carrier and Dad for help. With gloves on, Mom grabbed the gray tabby cat as Dad lifted up the roof, putting him in the cat carrier. Luckily the cat was wearing a collar! Whew. It took a while, but Mom was finally able to pick the little guy up so she could read his tag. His name was Cheeters and he lived nearby. Mom drove him home. Cheeters is an indoor/outdoor cat, but after this, the family is rethinking that!

Dad wanted to move the cathouse into our backyard, but Mom said no. That cathouse has been a safe house for several cats now!

Ah yes! My Mom remembers well how much busier it got at work before and after a holiday. Your Mom is a very dedicated and hard worker to cover for her co-worker. We hope her bosses appreciate her! Be sure to give her extra kitty kisses and hugs.

We left a vote with soft purrs, warm hugs and prayers for our furiends and their families in need.

That is really nice that your Mom and her
coworker have such a good (and long) working relationship! Not everyone is that lucky.

Our Dad is supposed to have tomorrow off too, but we won't be too surprised if he has to answer calls and put out fires anyway. Not literally put out fires, but he has to provide tech support for the phone systems they are manufacturing now. He's working two jobs at two different companies out of one office and getting paid diddly for it. If he wasn't a partner in both companies Mom would talk him into moving!

String beans, huh? Mom used to enjoy picking beans but since Grandma is gone and Mom & Dad don't eat them it would be a waste to plant them. We wish your Mom a good harvest! Hugs, KC and the Zoo Crew

We missed the coronation too. Like your Mom, ours
just didn't think of it at noon. Besides, she was very distracted and worried about a young friend who is in trouble. Thank goodness Mom finally heard from her (do you remember Samantha whose house burned down?) and she has left her abusive husband, FINALLY! But she didn't hear from her before spending hours worrying and trying to find out where she was.

Your Mom *should* get paid extra for doing extra work. You have to wonder if her male coworker has to do twice the work for the same pay when your Mom is gone! You're right about holidays. They just make for more work when you get back. Hugs, KC and the Zoo Crew

Hi Angel K. Anderson, Dean, Legend & Mom!
We hope you are all staying cool on this last day of June. We are in the mid 90’s today and hotter tomorrow before it cools down. We are hoping no one is crazy enough to set off fireworks for the 4th of July holiday.

I’m still taking my antibiotics until Thursday evening and then I get a reprieve. My Mom went to the vet to pick up more prescription cat food today. The vet said she won’t schedule my urine re-test until 30 days after I finish this last batch of medicines. Hooray! Hopefully by then I’ll be a healthy cat again!

Can't wait til Sunday night to see who the new 11 faces will be in the HOF! See ya then!

We have a washout day today. Been raining steadily since 3:00am and has not stopped yet. Mom was expecting to come home to a disaster but she didn't. She was almost afraid to enter her bedroom when she got home, she thought for sure that the ceiling would be on the floor by now, but it is still only a slow leak dripping down..the pail has maybe 4" of water in it.

Hi Angel K. Anderson, Dean, Legend & Mom!
Yesterday as we were waiting for my tests results, the vet’s office called and told my Mom she needed to bring me to the vet. The doctor wanted to talk with my Mom. :( I need to take 7 more days of both antibiotics and while I was there, the vet gave me an injection of antibiotics . My test results were better, but the red blood cell count was still too high. What should read as negative, is now 10-15. Two weeks ago this reading was 75-100. The vet said that bacteria could have settled in my bladder and was only just discovered when my Mom brought me in for preliminary tests before having my teeth cleaned. Having my teeth cleaned is on the back burner now. The vet did say she felt confident the antibiotics are working, so at this point she doesn't feel x-rays are needed of my bladder- which was the next plan of action. She had been worried there might be bladder crystals or some obstruction in my bladder, which would require surgery.

I took my medicines this morning like a champ. I get one at 6:30 a.m. and then wait an hour for the second one. This seems to work best. (Heavy sigh!)

We were heartbroken to learn this morning that K. Mike’s Dad passed away suddenly. Our hearts and prayers are with his dear Mom Teresa and the family. May God watch over this very special and precious family.

Your Mom's veggie garden sounds wonderful! She has the green thumb!

We left a vote with soft purrs, warm hugs and prayers for our furiends and their families in need.

I don't think that there is a "real" shelter
anywhere that can't use some extra help and supplies. Our folks try to take stuff out of ours two to three times a year. They also give money when they can, though that isn't as often as they'd like. Mom feels like she does her part mainly by maintaining the Zoo, since we are all rescues. Instead of taking us in to the shelter, she's kept us here as fosters and then adopted us when no one else would. Now Mom and Dad are both praying that no more stray/lost waifs show up on their doorstep, because 11 cats is way more than enough! Hugs, KC and the Zoo Crew

Mom's friend goes to the doctor today and will hopefully find out when her surgery is. She really wants mom to be there and mom said she will try. It may not be possible as three days next week they are shorthanded at work. Mom got the air conditioner all set up this morning and will turn it on when she gets home. She wants to make sure it doesn't overheat or anything before she leaves it running without her being home. I don't like wind and storms either. They are VERY scarey!

Hi Angel K. Anderson, Dean, Legend & Mom!
I finally finished all my antibiotics yesterday and today I went back to the vet for a urine re-test. I know my Mom is praying for good results. My sisters and I have our paws crossed. We should know the results tomorrow. My Mom stayed at the vet with me until I gave my urine sample. The vet says I have a bladder made of steel! I lost some more weight... I’m down to 10.5 pounds. (I started out at 14.5 pounds. Not sure if this new prescription diet will pack on the pounds!) The vet said this weight is fine. I guess my Mom is used to having cats with a some cushion!

This morning when my Mom put me in my cat carrier, I didn’t even put a fight. I think that worried my Mom more than when I do put up a fight! We can never please these silly humans. MOL!

Callie, Whitey and Orangie are doing fine. The weather has been hot- in the nineties- so we’ve all been staying inside where it’s cool. We hope our lives get back to normal soon.:)

MOL! We are sure your mom is glad you don't have those scary T-storms tonight. They can be very unnerving. All those loud booms.

We've been getting spooked just from the fireworks that are occasionally being set off here lately. I get the feeling it will get worse before it gets better. It is illegal to do within the city limits, but that doesn't seem to stop people. If they get caught, the fines are in the high triple digits, because of the severe drought and related fire hazard fireworks present.

Well, gotta scat, Mom is falling asleep while typing.
