Thank you for stopping by for my COTD. I am so excited I am napping in the sun room. Mom made some scrambled eggs but Koko ate them all. I am so happy I did not even mind mom attempting to trim a few nails but I decided three is enough for today. I hope I live another 5 years. Do you still get around okay? I need help getting on to the sofa and ottoman. I even have a set of my own stairs. I love to eat. We have to split our wet food. But now we get more wet food cause of Koko and his trouble eatting hard food. He young like Clover and I just tolerate him. He is blind in one eye and only has half a brain. The MRI revealed that, but the docs just say to drug him for his seizures. We all feel sorry for him. He is a terror to Tigger. Just two nights ago Koko and Tigger were fighting and Tigger used moms face as an escape. Now mom looks like someone hit her in her eye. Tomorrow should be interesting at work for mom..tee hee

We called her sideways because she was a stray, and her hear was always cocked sideways and we thnk she was beaten when she was owned, andd thats why we called her sideways. Im really sad to say that she hasnt been seen since last christmas(07). Jessie was born the runt of a litter of 8 kittens that were forced to fight over scraps from a can of cat food. She was malnourished when she was rescued causing health issues early in life. She responded well to her new loving furever home, fighting against the odds to survive and thrive. She would be the only cat from her litter to survive, and to this day she loves to give kitty kisses!!!...At 3 years of age (before being spayed), Jessie gave birth to Teddy, a black cat and Susie, a tuxedo cat. They happily live together with a cool cat named Nipper. Jessie only eats her special kibble (Vet Diet for Kidney function) with at home injections of SubQ IV fluids as needed. Jessie's kidney function results have not been good and she requires occasional fluids to help sustain her. She calmly lets her Mom give her home treatment, purring loudly when done with her shot. She has been eating better and keeping more of her food down. On these "good days" she is alert, happy and moves around a lot. Jessie does one thing without fail! Every morning, she gets up about 15 minutes before the alarm is set to go off and rubs her head against the Alarm Clock, making such noise that her Mom gets up. Jessie's Mom thinks Jessie doesn't like the sound of the noisy alarm and so wakes her up first. However, once Mom is up, Jessie returns to lay down for a rest while her Mom feeds Jessie's kids and Nipper. It is not that Jessie dislikes the sound of the alarm. Have you ever heard the song "Do You Believe In Magic" by the Loving Spoonful? That could sung by Apple and his brother Herman #61816. Some time ago, their Mom was in her yard and met an old battle scarred Tom who came by looking for a meal. She fed him and he started coming every day. Oh, how she wanted to take him into her home and keep him safe, but there was already a cat living inside who was not having another invader. The Mom looked forward to seeing the Old Warrior every day! But one day, he never returned. Shortly after that, the Mom's resident cat passed over the Rainbow Bridge. The Mom was alone and heartbroken. But a miracle happened! The very next day she saw a feral mama cat come into her yard with her kittens, and all but one looked like the Old Warrior! Herman and Apple were 2 of these kittens. Oh, the Mom was so happy! It was magic, it was almost like having the Old Warrior back! She took the mama cat and all the kittens into her house where they remain to this day. "A heart that is loved will always find its way back to you." Do you know that a simple vaccuming without the use of chemical could kill 96% of adult fleas and 100% of young fleas? That’s the finding of the study conducted by the Ohio State University and published in the journal Entomologia Experimentalis et Applicata. But before you stop using those carpet powder flea control products, you should also know that the result of the study was partially funded by Royal Appliance Manufacturing Company. This is Apple. I’m gathering support from my friends and prospective friends to please vote for me on March 10th for COTD the next day which is my birthday (and also Herman’s b-day). Although March 11 is not exactly our birthdate, the vet assumed that we were born in March. As some of you who have already read the “How We Met” story in my page, we came to our Mom’s life on the day after her beloved cat passed away to cancer. Since the vet assumed that we were born in March, Mom felt that it would be fitting to pick the 11th as our birthday because it was the blackest day of her life when the vet found a tumor on her beloved cat who only lived for 2 months and 5 days. Long time no meow-we haven't been doing too much except watching momcat search for cars on the computer but she finally found one yesterday and will pick it up next week! We can finally get back to talking to our purrpals! How's life treating you lately?
