Hi! My name is Tuxedo (RIP - 06/14/08)

I am Domestic Shorthair from San Antonio, TX

Nicknames: Tuxy, TuxyPoo,

Age: 8 years old

Coat: short haired

Education: When he was a kitten he used to eat his soft food off of a spoon. Most times he would stand up on his hind legs and pull the spoon down!

My favorite tricks and treats are: Not really, He has gotten kind of lazy since he has grown out of his kittenhood. Unfortunately he quit doing the trick of eating his soft food off of a spoon! and Meow Mix® Market Selects® - He loves all of the flavors but he (& his housemates) especially like the ones with whole shrimp! The shrimp in these dishes are so huge (in cat standards) that they are the size of some miniature shrimp that you might find in an expensive shrimp salad that us humans would eat!

Where I hang out: He has two favorite spots, The back patio at my new house and the Lazy Boy recliner in my home office!

My favorite grubs: I usually buy him the store brand Indoor formula cat food. I know that makes me sound cheap but he likes that just as well as the expensive stuff and since he (and my 2 housemates) nearly eat me out of house & home, It would get just TOO expensive to buy anything else!

My pet peeves: He HATES the younger female cat that I have adopted since I he came home. Also, he doesn't particularly care for Pumpkin, who is our "Granny Cat" whom is 17yrs old now. But he will at least "Tolerate" her and doesn't USUALLY pick fights with her! (He's Learned Better!!) He had been so used to being the baby in the family that even though he is still SPOILED ROTTEN, he detests just the fact that I have taken in and love two girls younger than him!

What I love about my owners: "She Spoils Me!"

My cat hobbies: 1. My new house has a LOT of trees & acorns and thus a lot of birds & squirrels so when he gets to go outside he loves to try and chase after them! When he isn't out chasing birds & squirels he is curled up, sleeping on the Lazy Boy recliner in my home office!

How We Met

Actually a client of ours at the time had a cat who had kittens and she couldn't keep them all. When we first got Tuxedo, we thought that he might be a girl so he started out with a girls name.We soon found out, however, that the kitten that we thought was a girl was actually a boy! We had wanted to name him Tuxedo from the beginning but we figured that that was too much of a boy's name for a girl. But after we were sure that he was a "he" we changed his name to our first choice of Tuxedo!

Sad News from Tuxedo's Family
Dear Club Cat Family -- I have some very sad news to share. Yesterday, Tuxedo passed away. About 6 months ago we started to notice that he was losing a lot of weight. When we took him to the vet they said that his kidneys were enlarged but they could not find the exact cause of the problem. The past week he has been very ill. He will be sorely missed.

As a small side note -- Up until today I had accidentally had his birthdate as March 19, 2005, Tuxedo's correct DOB is 3/19/2006
