THE LAST JOURNEY. Life with our feline companions is filed with journeys. Happy, sad, long, short, funny, not-so-funny, all make up a lifetime with a feline companion. The first journey is usually the happiest of all! That is the journey to the furrever home. Sylvia's first journey began on Seville street where her first family simply moved off and left her behind like so much garbage. Sylvia could not understand why her family just disappeared. Where did they go, why did they leave her behind? Why was she suddenly hungry all the time? She was noticed by a very kindly, retired couple. They fed the starving kitty and took her into their hearts and home. For three years, Sylvia was on a happy journey, filled with family and love. Then one day, the family noticed their Sylvia was sick. They took an anxious journey to the Vet, and after tests it was determined that Sylvia has a large, inoperable, malignant tumor. Cancer. Now begins the last journey. Sylvia's family tries to spend as much time with her as possible and enjoy every minute of her sweet presence. Perkins was beautiful.
What pretty eyes......sorry to hear you died so young, but you sure were loved and loved them too. Maine coons are such loving cats....I am a maine coon too....and I have a maine coon baby brother at my house. I was very sick when I was 3 too, but I had a successful surgery and I am good as new. I was lucky I guess. Bye Perkins

Hi Perkins' Loving Owner,
It makes me so upset whenever I read a loving memory story in cat channel but yours made me upset even more.Because Perkins was so young.It even makes me cry.Maybe I'm putting myself in your shoes thinking how I would feel if my precious Sushi died.I can understand that pain very well believe me.But on the other hand Perkins had a great life obviously.He was rescued from the shelter and had a loving home.I give you my condolences.Rest in peace Perkins.I am sure you were the perfect cat.My vote is for you today.Come visit me, Sushi.
