We just found out two weeks ago. Then we have been letting our Hockey playing friends know. For a while we were lucky to get on to do our voting and congrats. Now we have more time so we can get back in touch with friends we haven't visited in a while. I hope I see you at practice !! To all my Fierce Felines Teammates...
Even though we were eliminated from the playoffs last night I just wanted to say how proud I am to have played with all of you and our great team. Hopefully we can make another run at it next year. Caser wanted me to ask if any of you wanted to continue playing this season but on a different team. Many of the teams still in the playoffs need active cat players. MHL news 4/28
Only 2 more nights of ROUND 1 games. Tonight the Orange Crush face the CHICAGO BLACKHAWKS. OC is behind 3-2 and needs to win tonight. They are playing on home ice so that should help. The FIERCE FELINES are still beating off the ferocious skating and attacking ability of the RED HATS. The league leaders, FF, are behind 3-2 at this time and need a win to stay alive. Tomorrow is game 7 of the CHubbie Cubbie @ CAR games and the TIMtations @ FLYING TIGERS. Crossing my tiny frail paws for the boss's team. He may run me over with his Audi if they lose. AND please stop by the Office page, and tell Cmsn. caser that you would LOVE to play on a round 2 team. MHL News 4/27
Round 2 teams: Slammers, Kitty Avalanche, Vancouver ( to be renamed), Rodent Rippers. The Gryffindor Lions join the ranks of TV watchers when they blew a 3-0 lead to lose the series 4-2. The CHUBBIE CUBBIES & CAR are battling it at 3-2; CODY LEE has been outstanding as goalie. Flying TIgers & TIMtations 3-2. Next games tonight. STUBBIE has been the star holding the FT together and the TIMtations see signs of him tiring. As WINSTON says" We need to just keep shooting at him and eventually he'll fall over and maybe stay there." OC & CHI and FF & Red Hats play Tuesday, and all 4 series are going to 7 games. The fans are really getting their catbuck's worth in these first round games. The OC need to fire up some orange energy to get past CHI. I hear that Captain Dean ordered a new improved highly catnipped batch of Catorade for the team. And what's with these Fierce Felines barely making it past the ladies? Guess they figured the Red Hats were easy wins. Don't they know that some of these RH can run circles around the younger crowd? (Believe me- does my Boss know) As these teams advance and get more determined (or panicked, depending on your point of view) the harder the hits, the sneakier the penalties, and even the coaches are getting suspended. APRIL 24-Games #4 have been completed and 3 teams have swept their series. The KITTY AVALANCHE beat CBJ-4-1, 4-0, 4-1, 6-5. VAN beat STL 2-1, 3-0,3-2, 3-2. The SLAMMERS beat the always competitive FRISKY PREDATORS 4-2, 5-1, 4-2, 4-1. THE FLYING TiGERS lead the TIMtations and the RED HATS are confounding the FIERCE FELINES in a surprise show of strength and skill 3-1 in the series. How this can be is a mystery to this writer and his boss, the commissioner and undervalued goalie of the TIMtations, is not in a good mood. THE RODENT RIPPERS & G. LIONS and CHUBBIE CUBBIES & CAR are locked in the same battle. FRIDAY Night is game 5 and could determine if any team goes home or stays to play another day. BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND. THE TUNA TAILGATE SANDWICH STORY. As The Rancho Turns Whats this? There is a man making tuna salad on the tailgate of his truck, in his garage. Lets go back an hour. Dad puts a bowl on the counter and gets a big can of tuna.Pushing Taz and Zippi away he opens it and pours the water into the sink, look out Missy, too late. Now Zippi is licking Missy's head and getting hissed and swatted in the sink.Remove Taz from licking can,pour into bowl after removing OG's head.Get Mayo, remove 3 kitties from bowl licking and add mayo, take cover away from Taz licking mayo cover.Start mixing after taking Zippi's paw out of bowl. Taz under one armpit, Zippi under other, Missy trying to lick bowl.OG on floor yowling. Dad gets bread while holding bowl, puts it on paper plate and put stuff back in ice box, clunk, bread and plate on floor. Dad exits scene and continues making lunch in the garage.Will dad get to eat without any more problems,will Missy get the tuna off her head, Taz and Zippi are waiting at the garage door for dad to come in, and OG makes a hasty retreat to the pillows. Hello Fierce Felines
The MHL is set to start up again this Wednesday evening at 8PM Eastern time. The Felines first game of February will be on the 6th. The new Arena page is 121409. We also have a new page where our roster and schedule can be found. It is at 121411 and it will be updated each month so you will be able to get the current schedule as well as all roster changes. We are hoping the changes made to the MHL will make things run a little smoother and quicker than before. Also, I would like you to send me your thoughts on a proposed time change. How would you feel about moving our start time up an hour to 7PM Eastern, 4PM Pacific? Please send me a blog and let me know your opinion. Our team page is still at 102176. Since our schedule will always be available or the roster/schedule page I probably won’t post in on the team page anymore unless you feel a need for it there…I wish you all luck the rest of the season. I know I can’t wait to get started again….Hope to see you all at the rink….Max
