My pet peeves: Please, don't clip my nails or ANY medicine. ..especially not subcutaneous fluids. I don't like other cats either.
What I love about my owners: Mom gives me everything that I could ever want or need and then some. She found & married a great Dad for me. I love that Mom loves to nap with me.
My cat hobbies: I love to lay in the sun or in my heated bed and sleep sleep sleep. Back in the day, I liked to play with that crazy red light, and I loved playing in the tub.

How We Met
I was almost 10 years old when my first parents split up and just didn't seem to have a place for me. They scheduled my euthanasia, but luckily the vet called a local no-kill shelter and saved my life. I stayed in foster care for quite a while, but Mom came along in Feb 1997 and we fell in love immediately. We spent 10 years & 8 months together before my kidneys gave out on me completely.

Hi Nikki,
How terrible that your first home felt the need to give you up when you were ten years old. I can only imagine how scared you must have been. I'm glad you were taken to a caring vet who knew you at least deserved a chance to find a new home...and you did! I hope you didn't have to wait long at the shelter. I heard they are pretty scary places to be; I have never been to one since I've had the same human since birth, but my human Grandma gets animals from the Humane Society. The dog comes over for visits and tells me how scary it was. I'm sorry to hear you went through CRF...I bet it was very hard on your humans to watch you go through that. We lost my brother last year to kidney failure and it was very hard on my humans. Mom cried for weeks after he had to leave us. I'm going through the same thing...I'm still doing good though and feel ok...I just get a little confused now and then. Maybe, if you get a chance, you can say Hi to my brother for me. He is the real big black and white kitty who probably has a bunch of little kittens with him. He was very strange that way when he was still here with us...he loved to play with kittens. Every time Mom brought a homeless kitten or two home, Tux would appoint himself to be their foster-dad.Come visit me, Funny-Face, Courage, Cynder & Tuxedo.

To Nikki's Parents
Please accept my deepest sorrow from the bottom of my heart. We have lost 2 dogs and a cat in about 3 1/2 yrs. I can't begin to tell you how we suffered. In 9 months we lost our Toby, a sherpard/beagle mix @ 13 yrs old then we lost my kitty baby Juliet, an all white angel who was with me for 15 yrs. Then just this past late September we had to put down our Snoopy, a dalmatian who was 11 yrs. We still rush home thinking we have to let the dog out. But then we look @ each other & just try not to cry. With time, the pain will subside. Then you can just sit and remember the great times you shared and smile. WELCOME NIKKI & FAMILY
THE RAINBOW BRIDGE-Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge. When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to the RAINBOW BRIDGE. There are meadows & hills for all our special friends so they can run & play together. There is plenty of food, water & plenty of sunshine,and our friends are warm and comfortable. All the animals that had been ill & old are restored to health & vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole & strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days & times gone by. The animals are happy & content, except for one thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops & looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent,his eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group,flying over the grass faster & faster. You have been spotted and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face, your hands caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life, but never absent from your heart...
