How We Met
Duckie's mother was the neighborhood stray. She repaid a box of catfood with three kittens. Duckie was very happy and enjoyed the Cat Channel very much. She was extremely excited about COTD and the RHS. She made a lot of friends and loved each and every one on CC. She had been struggling for the past few weeks but she felt a lot of support and prayers from everyone. She went to sleep last night after viewing CC and woke her daddy up this morning when the news of COTD came in. She enjoyed all of the BLOGS but slowly slipped away this morning (1/29/08). Her daddy took her as close to Rainbow Bridge as possible and left her in the hands of the Angel Kitties. Thank you for all of your love and support during the past month.

The temperature was high 64 & low was 46 this morning, now it's 63 with humidity 54% & wind is 3 MPH W. Monday's suppose to be Sunny☼ & High 67.

♥ Mom woke up early this morning with a very tired and sore body. Her and dad basically took it easy other than mom taking care of us and also gathering the garbage and yard debris then taking the containers to the curb for morning pick up!!!!
♥ Mom and dad will be back to their busy days again starting Monday. Mom says we will be getting lots of cattery time this week since we are suppose to have Summerlike weather all week!!!!

♥ K. FIDEL 14733; TONANTZIN 14732 & CHE 14734 as their sweet momma SARA CAZARES went to her Forever Sleep yesterday (4/20/2013) morning from complications follwing a stroke she had last year. Sara was a very active momma with her husband, 2 sons, 3 fur kits & 1 doggie as well with the schools and politics. She was still a young woman at age 48. She also used to be very active on CC. Many of us old CC timers were close to Sara and her kitties.
We are so sad to learn of her Forever Sleep and she will be deeply missed!!!!
Please keep this family in your prayers.

wow we are finally getting to blog some, momma was so busy with month end at work with over 20car deals and is still pretty covered up. we are heading over to angel ping and et for the ham hock, catberries and hamster bacon. and to play catopoly or go fish or watch movies, there is a mousetail marathon on and they have plenty of tuna tea and cricket cocoa and will be poppin caramel catcorn. sounds like a good day among friends

So sorry to hear that Daddy's health is slipping. I'm sure the divorce is very draining on him too. Sorry things are not going well with your family & Casey. well queen josiemae is taking time off the blog trail today so maybe we can get some done today.
the temp at my earth home this morning was 29 with snow flying and then for sunday is to be 64!!!!! georgia has had some crazy weather this winter.
it is very windy today so lets just stay in if u want and i can fix us some mousechili and we can watch movies or play games and have some good hot toddies later, and we can talk about what we can do to help queen josiemae decorate the maison de josiemae (castle) for st patrick's day.

So very sorry for the delay in answering. Since Mom's fractured knee & surgery we are hopelessly behind. Just started my blogs from 2/9/13. For two weeks it made her dizzy trying to blog, as her left leg is still straight out in front of her. She must type with the keyboard on her lap & the computer screen to her right. Anyway. We and several others enjoy the good work you do with the MHL-HOF and vote regularly. You, of course, are in charge, so your decision is final. I have an idea who you speak of and believe he in on our list. Even though he is not actively playing now, he did in the past & we still support him. Not sure if others still are too but thought they did before. We are very sorry for the problems now and know everyone is very sad about it. Certainly if you want the ceremony to take place at the HOF page, that is your choice. Please set a time not to conflict with the games and I'm sure many will come. WELL TODAY SINCE YALL LIKE THE RECIPES AS WELL AS U DO I WILL ADD SOME MORE
CHOW CHOW
1 peck green tomatoes 2 oz cloves
1 peck string beans 2 oz celery
seeds
1/4 peck small white onions
2 oz allspice
1/4 peck green peppers 1 lb brown
sugar
2 lg heads of cabbage 1 box yellow
mustard seeds
1/4 peck red peppers 1 oz tumeric
4 tbs white mustard seeds
vinegar
Chop the tomatoes, let them stang overnight in their own juice. Squeeze out the brine. Chop the cabbage, peppers, onions, and beans and mix together and add the tomatoes and the spices and sugar. put in a porcelain kettle and cover with vinegar and boil 3 hours. when cool seal in jars
WATERMELLON PICKLES
4 lb watermellon rind 2 qt cold water
2 tbs whole cloves 4 lb sugar
1 qt cider vinegar 1 tbs slaked lime
2 tbs whole allspice
10 2 inch pieces of cinnamon sticks
remove all pink pulp pink from rind. peel outside peeling from rind. weigh. cut in 1 inch circles or cubes. combine cold water and lime. pour over rind and let set 1 hour. drain and then cover with cold water. simmer 1 1/2 hours or till tender. drain. tie spices in a piece of cheesecloth. combine vinegar, 1 qt water and sugar. heat until sugar disolves. add spice bag and rind and simmer gently for 2 hours. pack rind in clean hot sterile jars. fill jars with boiling hot syrup. seal. makes bout 12 half pints
OLD FASHIONED GINGER BREAD
1/2 cup sugar 1 1/2 tsp ginger
1/2 cup butter 1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 cup molasses 1/2 cup sour milk
2 cup flour nuts or rasins if
1/2 tsp soda desired
mix all ingredients together, put in large loaf pan and bake for bout an hour. this recipe is at least 100 years old
DRIED APPLE CAKE
mix up a regular white or yellow cake recipe and bake it in 4 thin layers. mix 1 pint of dried apples with 1 pint of water, and cook until thick and the apples are mashed. sweeten to taste with syrup and add some spices, whatever u like best. let cool a bit and spread the mixture between the layers and on top of cake you can cover the sides if u want

Most of you know Boo Kitty and her Mom Jane as the creators of the beautiful frames that many of you have received when you were a COTD winner! well looks like winter came back and angels ping and et are packing the kitty pool back up and gathering firewood. they want to take angel shadow to the galloping grasshopper to celebrate her acotd badge today. i can go for some of the crisy cricket waffles with mouse syrup and bat sausage. and they have some pawsome cinnacat rolls also. lets go be a catpig!!!

The temperature was high 49 & low was 44 this morning, now it's 47 feels like 46 with humidity 80% & wind is 8 MPH WSW. Wednesday's suppose to be Rain & High 46.

♥ Mom had to go clean house for Bud this morning and was gone til almost 2:00 this afternoon. The outside kitties were more than ready for their food and very happy to see mom!!!! Mom did hold me and give me my lovings before she left though!!!!
♥ JAZPYR 10428 will be seeing Dr. Liz on Wednesday [1/30] morning at 8:30. Mom has noticed things about him that isn't right so he will be having blood work and possibly a urine test, too. Mom will be with-holding our food after 10:30 tonight. This also means mom will not be getting much sleep if any!!!!
Prayers for JAZPYR would be appreciated!!!! Thank you!!!!
♥ UPDATE 1/29: Jazpyr's 10428 & Sassee's 10605 littlermate sister, TOEBEE'S, Blood work came back with purr*fect results!!!! The vet said she may do a urine test to rule out UTI. Her momma, Judy is very relieved as is our mom, too!!!!
NOTE: Toebee & Thundyr does not live with us since they were adopted out when they were a couple months old. Mom & dad does have visiting rights though as mom wrote that up in their adoption papers. Tehehehe!!!!
