In reading the profiles of different kitties on cat channel, I have noticed four catergories how people have acquired their cats. 1) breeder, 2) shelters/rescues, 3) strays, and 4) from family or friends. Anderson and I came from the local no-kill shelter. We are interested in learning about the shelter/rescue you came from. Is it large or small, kill or no-kill, private or county, cat only, and connected to an SPCA or Humane Society? What is the name and/or web site so we can check it out? We are doing a small survey and will publish our findings about all the shelters/rescues our friends have come from all over the country. Are all your siblings from the same shelter/rescue? Any details you wish to include will be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much for taking the time to send me the information I have requested. I look forward to hearing from you. You are very beautiful and look a lot like our Schnitzel #22527 who is the center for the Mouse Hockey League's Mighty Meerkats. We have a blob o'cats together from the same shelter with an 82% kill rate, so I'm starting up a second blob with some of the rest of us! But our kingkat Stuart #18880 loves meeting orange cats like you, the big favorite here. He meows that orange cats with white bellies are "cottonbellies" and they are of royal lineage. I don't believe that but I do love Stooie. I love your beautiful smile, and hey, look at our Cotton #45543, he has the same motto as you! But he's not as cute as you and Schnitzel; Cotton's kind of tall and lanky. He just turned one on March 18 and I was one on March 9. Good Morning to All My Friends!!
Mommy said I could get on for a few minutes so please forgive the “blanket” note once again. ~We had an ice storm! On Monday 2:30AM the peach tree lost the first big limb, 4AM the second went, and then 7AM the last large limb went splitting the trunk to the ground!! The Red Bud, which isn’t hanging over the pool, started to droop over the pool! Mommy and Daddy had to prune it heavily. They will have to take it out in the spring! Because the tree is still blocking where they need to get to see, it looks like the only damage is the end cap of the gutter! Thank God!! Then Tuesday at 7:40AM, the power went out!!! We’re one of the lucky ones-later ones off and on really fast! Some are still out and have been for 6 days!! Mommy had to shut off the all the bedrooms and bring the futon mattress in the living room. We all slept in front of the fireplace. We have gas logs for heat, we could cook on our gas stove and Mommy and Daddy could take a hot shower! The power came back on Wednesday afternoon about 2PM. Mommy was out gathering lighter sticks, lamp oil, batteries, cell phone charger, and more candles! Wednesday, they started forecasting SNOW for Friday and Saturday!!! Mommy went hunting and gathering once again! She had the cell phone repaired, found another oil lamp and chimney (one broke) and a few groceries. She’s just about gotten all the laundry done and has a few more places to go this afternoon. Whew! I understand why Mommy doesn’t like winter!! Is it spring yet?!! ~I hope everyone is doing well and staying warm.

That pic was from a phone with the window light behind me so I look orange but am really a dark grey, with black and white stripe and hints of a dark red. My mom thinks that is why they called me rusty. I felt it was a bad name and wouldn't come to it. So she happily changed it.

Thank you so much for the catgrats on my COD today. I was so excited when mom came and woke me. I didn't even accept it, cause I wasn't able to stay long on the computer yesterday due to the storms we got. It's wonderful. Duffus is in the kitchen and told me not to come in, so she is making something special. And big O Tiger Man is waiting paw and paw on me. And then there's mom, well, I had to tell her to chill. Glad to hear things are a bit better. The two parties that are in the works are: A couples only beach retreat to Atlantic City, hosted by Oreo and George and the second is a Disneyland Vacation.
