How We Met

Originally, Mom was getting a kitten for her boyfriend at the time. She really didn't want another cat. Mom had one that hated everyone but her and she felt that one was enough. So,a friend of Mom's told her about this woman who's cat had 8 kittens & she could have the pick of the litter. Mom was thrilled to get to choose a kitten that her ex was going to get. After all her other cat she had found in the street,n after his mother abandoned him & refused to nurse him. So mom took him home. However, when mom got to this woman's home, she was disgusted. There was only 1 kitten, me. Mom was informed by that my cat mother & the other 7 kittens were fed to their pit bull. I was only about 2 weeks old, not 8 like mom was told, and my original owners had a bowl of tender vittles & milk on the floor for me to eat, which I couldn't since I was too young. Also, if all that wasn't bad & sad enough, their 2 year old son was throwing me head first like a football into a wall. Needless to say, Mom picked me up and left with me. As soon as Mom got home she reported my previous owner to the ASPCA. They were arrested, fined, & was unable to own any animals for a number of years. Sadly, their pit bull was removed & had to be put to sleep because he was so violent. But unfortunately or rather fortunately mom's ex couldn't handle the care of a kitten, especially the middle of the night feedings. So as if me, this poor little guy hadn't been through enough, mom's ex called her & said that if she didn't come & take the kitten immediately he was going to throw me out a window. So, of course my mom went to get me & brought me home. She also broke up with her ex. She could never be with anyone so cruel. Originally she planned to keep me until I was old enough to be weened off formula & able to eat cat food as well as use a litter box. But, my human sister(mom's daughter), who was 1 1/2 years old at the time, loved feeding me my bottles. She got such a thrill out of me drinking out of a bottle just like her. Plus, the 2 of us were so cute together. Since mom's other cat, may he rest in peace, hated mom's daughter back then(eventually he learned to love her & me), she decided to keep me. I love the fact that even though I had a horrible start in life, Mom & sister were able to give me a great home. Mom doesn't even mind that I'm clingy because I was abused. She loves & chrishes me as do I love & cherish her, unconditionally- .
