Hey, Ace...
I've stretched this out about as far as we can go. It's been three and a half weeks (according to your profile data) since you signed on. Sam wrote to you a week ago, and I've given you a few additional days to contact somebody. The games begin on Monday. I will, unfortunately, have to replace you with a cat that we know to be active -- unless I hear from you on Sunday. I sincerely hope I can get your confirmation that you wish to stay on your assigned team (called the Spitfires). Otherwise, whenever you DO sign on, let me know what you would like to do. If I replace you, I will put you on inactive reserves. I will change that to active reserves with your approval, or I can delete you entirely if you no longer wish to be involved with the game. Cats who are neither active nor on the reserve list will probably not get the opportunity to join for several seasons, as reserve kitties will have priority when the new seasons begin. Please tell me what is going on so I can work with you. Thanks... This is Mandy. I am the new Captain of team 40 and I am contacting all my players to find out what positions they want to play. I am the Goalie, and my brother, MR. Sparkle, is the Center. I am writing to you today about our Mouse Hockey League. Many of your friends have enjoyed playing this new sport with us this past season. Our players are young and old, male and female, and breeds of all types. If you are a live cat, you are eligible. We are expanding the league size this year and are looking for many new kitties to make up the new teams. All games are simulated by computer, so your physical presence is NOT mandatory at game time. Many cats check the game results later to see how their team fared and to check out their personal performance. If you would like your CC membership to be more exciting and are looking for greater interaction with other kitties, mouse hockey may be your answer. New teams are forming NOW. If you are interested, please visit Scamper's page (#39429) for more information. Since Scamper currently has his hands full with early returns by new recruits, I am helping him, for the time being, by sending out more solicitations and organizing the responses, allowing his efforts to be more efficient. Please reply to ME with your questions or to sign up. (If you wish to be a goalie for your team, you might mention that, also.) We will try to accommodate any special requests you may have. There are NO fees, and virtual uniforms and equipment are provided. We need you and hope you will seriously consider enriching your CC experience by being a part of this activity.
