COTD VOTE TODAY FOR SPRINKLES #84316 ..It is sunny & going up to 64.2 F..Mom has hair appt later this afternoon..She is taking Ryan to drop off resumes for summer job & then takes him to school later..Mom went to gym..She has lost 60 lbs so far this past 6 months !..Going to cottage late tonight after Ryan is done school at 930pm..Hope everyone had a happy St Paddy's Day yest..It was a sea of green downtown !.. We got up to 61F yest with lots of sun..I was in my tent on porch & Mom took me for walk on harness & I watched brothers play basketball..An orange cat came for a short visit He chased a squirrel up a tree .I sure did chatter at him!...BIRTHDAYS..MAR 18: MUNCHIE #31699 ..MAR 20: HOLLY #59878., MUFFIN #171146.. ANGEL CROSSING ANNIVERSARIES...3/18/08.. WILLY #64573 ..2 YRS AGO..3/18/09.. MORRIS #69302 ..1 YR AGO..3/18/08.. BOBBIE #56304..2 YRS AGO... AUSSIE KIDS MOM 4624..GOT BEST NEWS EVER.. Their mum went back to Specialist yest, she had chest Xray & then went into see Dr. When she put the old Xray up beside the new Xray she could see that the spot on mums' lungs had all but just about gone. Their Mom was so excited So it seems antibiotics did their job & shrunk it. Still not quite out of the woods, the Dr wants mum to have another CT Scan next wk- she goes back 31st Mar to get the all clear..EBBONNY KNIGHT (10703) has been diagnosed with Lymphoma. Dr. Mindy has put him on meds and we are all hoping & praying that they clear this up for him..-He had lost wt & not breathing like he should for awhile now -saw vet yest.He meowed all the way there. - had no temp weighed 13.2 lbs-had lost 2lbs since 2008. You could feel his bones - felt like some mass or an enlarged spleen". They took xray - showed that there was fld around lungs. They drained About a cup of fluids out of him..put on Lasix to help keep the fluid down. vet xamined the fluid more & said that he has Lymphoma so now taking Prednisolone 10 mg per day & if he looks like having a hard time breathing again to give Lasix. Dr. Mindy said Prednisolone may kill the Cancer so it's a 50/50 chance. She said if not then he could have a few days to a few mos left. Mom and dad will not let him be in pain so when his time is up then they will let him go to sleep forever...SPONGIES MOM..72539 was up half night with her back,when she gets these spells,she has to alternate with heat & ice to ease pain off,so she cant sit long at a time she hopes to hear from test today..BUDDY'S DAD RON 69967..All is going good since the back surgery..PLEASE VOTE FOR WON TON...He is 7th this wk on Bissel Contest. Today is last day to vote. Mom, thank you for loving me no matter what I do. Thank you for worrying over me and nursing me when I am sick. Thank you for taking time out of your busy life to play with me. Thank you for taking me to the Vet and buying me special medications, food, treats, toys, furniture, etc. Thank you for not minding a world covered in hair. Thank you for treating me as your child and not an animal to be tolerated. Thank you for keeping my food and water dish clean, fresh and filled. Thank you for keeping my potty clean and fresh. Thank you for cleaning up, without complaint, when I have been sick, coughed up a hairball, or needed help with cleanup when my fur gets too long-you know where. Thank you for not becoming angry when I become a stubborn puss. When we have claws, thank you for tolerating the occasional scratch and supplying us with an alternative to your furniture for which to sharpen our claws. Thank you for sharing your space with me, even when I want the "Lion's" share. Thank you for allowing me to be the "BOSS" with all my demands and desires for which you always come through. Thank you for the many hours you spend giving me a fun life filled with friends for me and you as well here on CC. Thank you for being there through all the ups and down in all my nine lives and most importantly for being there with me to hold my paw as my tired little body gives up the fight and I must leave you to cross over the Rainbow Bridge. The forever home, filled with love overflowing is more appreciated than you could ever imagine. Today and every day of the year, I honor YOU, Mom. You are the BEST!! HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY!!

I am planning to have an Irish/Italian Parade on Sunday, March 22, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. EST. This is a parade that begun in Jefferson Parish years ago and is unique to that area. It is a really huge parade, eighty something floats. They not only throw beads, doubloons, cups, trinkets etc., but they throw out cabbages, carrots, onions, veggies that would be used to prepare an Irish stew! It is a very generous parade and you go home with tons of goodies. People generally bring a lot of garbage bags with them to put their loot in! It also has bands, marching groups, old Irish and Italian men in suits marching and giving out paper flowers and/or beads to any lady dumb enough to kiss them for one - MOL. I am asking the CC community that anyone that would like to participate in the parade itself to please visit page #123321 the Laissez Les Bons Temps Rouler Catvention Center and sign up. Each cat/cat family will be assigned a number and that will be the number of their float and when they would be required to post their blog. In their blog they would describe their float and state what throws they are throwing and do that ALL IN CAPS. Also, you would come up with a band, dance team, marchers, old men walking, etc. to precede your float. This too should be presented in ALL CAPS! From that point forward they would blog as though they are throwing stuff to their friends. Therefore, if you sign up to have a float you would want to invite your friends to come join in as spectators. There will also be a Toasting session on St. Patrick's day. I am thinking of asking Coops if he would host this at Hat Trick Burgers Bar and Grill. There will also be a dinner/dance on the Friday before the parade, the 20th this will be held at Bao Bao's Cafe, Les Champs-Elysees Cafe on page number 122154, time has not yet been set for either the toasting or the dance. If there is not enough interest in participating then none of this will happen. Please respond by Friday night March 6, 2009. Hope you will join in with the fun! Love and friendship, Wolfie

events since we

last spoke. We

have welcomed

another new

Angel on

Monday,

September 29,

2008.

Butterfinger #

Angel Sammy’s

sister, has joined

her brother in

the beautiful

land known as

Rainbow Bridge.

The reunion of

brother and

sister was a

sight to behold

indeed! Several

Angels were at

Butterfinger’s

side when her

journey began to

escort her to her

new home and

her dear brother

Sammy was

waiting to escort

her across “The

Bridge”.

Hundreds of

Angels were

present and

cheered and

wept as the two

embraced. Angel

Sammy's family

sent me a blog

and Butterfinger

passed away

from FIP. All of

the family now

must be tested.

Please

remember Angel

Butterfinger's

family in your

prayers! She

crossed the

BRIDGE to join us

and her brother

leaving a trail of

broken hearts

and tears! She is

now wearing big

fluffy white

wings and a

sparkling golden

halo as she and

Angel Sammy

frolic in the

catnip and daisy

fields together

again. Another

special event

took place

during the month

of September.

Sammy, of the

Port Orchard

Pride has been

reigning as the

Cat of the Month,

and a memorable

reign it was.

time from their

busy month to

help in relief and

rescue efforts

following the

hurricanes of the

month. These

efforts were

coordinated by

our publishers,

Mousey and

Blackie. Mousey

and Blackie have

also been

campaigning for

Cat of the Month

for October and

were an

overwhelming

choice by the

members of Cat

Channel. This is

a first as they

are the first

Angels to run for

this coveted title

and the first to

earn this title.

They will wear

their badges

proudly and no

doubt be

remembered for

their

contributions to

the Cat Channel

Family.

A MESSAGE FOR MOM
All the Angels at the RB, woke early this morning! The sun is shining brightly, the Angel birds are singing sweetly and we are all healthy and in no pain! We have lots of food, lots of furriends and are having lots of fun! The only problem is, we miss our MOM's(orDAD) on this very special day set aside to honor them!! So, we have all gone out and picked fresh bouquets of flowers, put them in a vase of hugs and kisses and are sending them down , one by one!! My Mom and Dad were in a pet store one day walking around and I saw them. Something in my heart told me they were my furrever loving family. What could I do to get them to notice me? I tried meowing but there were 6 other kitties in the cage with me and they were meowing too! Mom and Dad walked up to the cage. This was my last chance! I had to do something to get their attention or they would leave me in this cage! Oh no! I was desperate! Suddenly, I had an idea! I climbed to the top of the cage and hung from the roof UPSIDE DOWN! That got their attention! They took me home with them. I had two happy years, and loved my family and my brother Ziggy. Then one day I got outside, and into the street. I didn't see the car coming. It hit me. Mom rushed me to the Vet, crying all the way. There was nothing that could be done to save me. Today, I am an Angel Kitty watching over Mom, Dad, and Ziggy. Will you please give me a vote for my badge on page #69704. My new mommy picked me out from all the rest! I was only 1 1/2 lbs! Little did she know I would grow up and weigh 17 lbs"!! "I became a champion of cage fighting , when time to go to the vet's! PLEASE VOTE ON TUESDAY FOR SPUNKIE #11712
Spunkie was a beautiful Tuxedo kitten who was taken to PetsMart for Adoption Day. All day, Moms, Dads, and children walked by and some picked out a kitty but Spunkie was not chosen. At the end of the day, he was returned to his foster home. The next Adoption Day, Spunkie was back at Petsmart, where all the people just walked right on by him. He tried reaching for them, talking to them, and standing up on his cage. But no one chose Spunkie and he was carried back to the foster home. This day was repeated several times, and Spunkie kept getting passsed over. Just when he was beginning to think no one would ever pick him to be their very own, one of the PetsMart volunteers picked him up and held him close. She told him he had stolen her heart! She took Spunkie #11712 home with her and now he has a loving furrever loving home with his fur friends Hopsing and Munchie! Hi KCgirl and Bobbi angel! It's me Leo! Boy, Bobbi and I are having a great time up here across the rainbow bridge. There are fields of cat nip as far as the eye can see, and every tree is a giant cat condo. Except for those uncatchable butterflies (we'll get them one day) it's absolutely magical up here.

I know you miss Bobbi, but she really wasn't feeling well the day she crossed the rainbow bridge. Take heart in the fact that she is in a better place (No, the BEST PLACE EVER! I mean, it's like Egypt all over again, you know, when cats were worshipped!). I promise I will take good care of her up here, and know that her spirit has been forever immortalized in your heart and memory. So, keep your chin up and we'll both be watching over you!

Is it a bird? A clock radio? No, it's Quincy, the big furry alarm clock kissing his Mom & Dad on the lips while making little chirping noises! It's 4 a.m. and Quincy is telling them "get up, get up, it's time to get up"! Quincy was living in a breeder's home and he had bonded with his brother Chip. Quincy's Mom went to look at Chip but when she was told the boys were always together, she couldn't bear to separate them. She brought them both to their furrever loving home.
